KC: You know, I have done my best to raise you. *parks car and slams door*

Eclipse and Bloodmoon: *cringe and follow him*

KC: Have I been perfect, no! Did I know anything about children? No! Should I have picked up a book about parenting? Probably! Where was I going with this? I had a point…

Eclipse: We’re sorry, dad…

Bloodmoon: Love you, dad.

KC: Well I love you too! *enters house*

Eclipse and Bloodmoon: *follow him*

KC: I had to leave work early because of you two felons, on beat poetry night! *starts eating donut* Stress eating, because of you! *storms off* Come on, Rosie.

Dog: *trots after him*

KC: This is really good!

Eclipse and Bloodmoon:…

Bloodmoon: You think if we buy him more donuts, he’ll forgive us?

Eclipse: *smacks him*

Indulgences

Quick lil thing I made last night about (Backup) Eclipse and Killcode | Words 468

Eclipse was always bad with self control.

His temper was a prime example of this, the burning anger and hatred in his core that drove his plots for vengeance but also caused him to lash out at anything that got in his way. Former… allies included. Eclipse and everyone else was well aware that he couldn’t keep his mouth shut even if it meant he would drive everyone away. Almost everyone.

Dying had a funny way of stamping out that fire, what a surprise, but just because he wasn’t currently chasing after Moon doesn’t mean the self control statement didn’t still ring true. Something Eclipse had found was how hard it was to just stop when something made him feel… nice. Snark and hiss and complain the whole time yes, but actually taking the initiative to be the one pulling himself away? Eclipse may as well be spineless. 

Which is why Eclipse was still in this godforsaken bunker with Killcode. Soaking up his “father’s” attention even as he hurls insults at him, never making an attempt to leave as long as Killcode remains with him. Why he never makes more than a half hearted effort to bat Killcode away from petting his rays as long as they’re alone. Why he’ll scarf down the last of a homemade batch of cookies Eclipse claims could be better and push himself to comfortable fullness. 

If Eclipse had more detrimental vices he could have been in serious trouble. He didn’t want to think about the beast he’d turn into if hunting brought him the same pleasure as Bloodmoon. But all these small indulgences were harmless, making them all the harder to resist. Why should he leave Killcode? Pride? He already lost that when Sun killed him. Eclipse would never admit it out loud but for once his life wasn’t complete hell he’s not going to just walk away now damnit.

“Son?”

Eclipse’s rays twitched at the concerned voice, looking away from the inactive TV he had evidently been staring at for way too long. Killcode gave him a soft look that Eclipse didn’t know how to react to. He settled on making an annoyed face, ignoring the warm feeling that expression directed towards him evoked. 

Glancing between him and the blank TV Killcode trotted over to the couch Eclipse was curled up on, “Why don’t we watch something, how does that sound?” 

“As long as it’s not one of your dumbass sappy movies,” Eclipse huffed, but shifted over slightly to give the larger animatronic room all the same. 

Killcode beamed at the invitation and promptly sat down next to him. When Eclipse leaned against them while they scrolled through cooking shows KC promised were entertaining he didn’t say a word. It was so sickeningly domestic. Eclipse couldn’t leave it if he tried.

Random Dad Killcode Headcanons:

1: He does cook but secretly wanted to bake. He tries to bake biscuits but always screws up on kneading the dough by accidentally ripping it apart!

2: He's super ticklish on his waist and feet! His sons prefer to tickle his feet.

3: He tries various jobs until he gets a job that supports him and his family.

4: He goes by both parent titles, Mother and Father, he's called father by his sons because its their preferred title. He would go by mom sometimes because he supports his sons like a mother. He keeps the Mom title until he gets a wife and passes the mother title to her.

5: He playfully wrestles with his sons. Mostly the Bloodmoon twins but is careful to them because he's BIG and they are short!

Sadly Dadcode doesn't allow Blood Money to share his tips and tricks for tax evasion, and preemptively put them in timeout just to be safe.

KC tries his best to keep Blood Money an upstanding citizen, but gotta be strict on some lessons.
