"jinx adopting isha lmao" yes okay but the vicious cycle of silco taking jinx under his wing when she was at her absolute lowest and observing her spiral out of control from a quilted leather chair and jinx killing silco and jinx still grappling with his death and jinx is unmoored and her face is splashed over every wanted poster plastered to grimy walls in the lanes. because you're a jinx - vi had no fucking idea. and then isha falls on jinx's head and knocks her to the floor to escape people who want her dead and jinx puts a bullet in each because it's what she does but isha sticks around. isha throws herself in vi's way because jinx was teetering on the brink of death and swaying in its favor and jinx screams "NO!" and there's a trembling gun in vi's face and a small finger on the trigger. and jinx sees powder between them. she remembers sobbing, tackling silco in a hug and now isha's blubbering with her hands around her and of course jinx knows exactly how this goes so jinx sees her own death. no, no, no, this isn't how it's supposed to- but it really couldn't have gone any other way. you are your fathers child etc.

Like I love Piers. I do. But it will forever erk me on how he just. Pushes so much on Marnie. I don't think it's malicious by any means, it's clear he adores her. But again, the " team yell situation would've been out of control if it wasn't for her" as if he's not the adult there. Or the " I'm not much of a gym leader, so I want my sister to take over for me", despite her interests being. Not that atm.

And I don't exactly hate these flaws for Piers. I think they're really interesting! But both the game and masters kinda don't do anything with it. At least masters goes " yeah, my sister wants to be champion, so I'm still gonna be a gym leader for now and let her do her own thing " but it's still banking on the fact Marnie will eventually become the gym leader in her place. Like he doesn't mean to do this, but he's putting so much pressure on the girl. Him and team yell! And I don't think that's fair! But nah, they still have a good relationship - and I want them to! But I also want them to address this. I think their entire situation is just messy, and pokemon isn't exactly showing that.

I do think it's interesting, according to Marnie, she feels like the reason her and Piers don't argue is because Piers is holding back on her. And that she would want that sibling squabble. Like! God that's so interesting! And kinda sad! To know your older brother is holding back emotions for your sake! There's so much you could do with these two I swear, and yet! We don't get much!

davrin and rye ingellvar's dynamic continues to be unmatched. davrin invites rook along on the training trip with assan in arlathan forest as a sort of extended hand of peace because they've been getting off on the wrong foot a little bit (rook is gamely like HELL YEAH sounds fun! :) while sweating nervously), and then davrin spends the whole walk squinting at rook -- prancing around in his fancy little mourn watch silk robes getting caught on thorns, gawking at common plants and critters like he's never seen them before, stumbling over roots and laughing awkwardly about it even though davrin hasn't even said anything -- like 'who the fuck is this weird indoor kid, how have they survived this long, and more importantly why are we trusting them to save the world'. all while rook is going 'goddd I'm looking so dumb in front of the cool kid and he already questions every second thing I say or do this sucks'. but. they are both trying, and will keep trying. and this is what matters

genuinely think the way jamie initially talks to victoria is my favourite little detail from evil of the daleks. he never really talks in this tone to anyone else - he adopts a similar sort of formality with ruth earlier in the serial, but not with mollie, so some of it is probably an instinctive class/social dynamics thing. on the flip side, he never gives any of the male characters in the serial the same courtesy, at least partially because he never actually respects any of them - or in kemel's case, because he's trying to befriend him, not defer to him.

but the way he initially talks to victoria takes it to a whole other level - it's this gentlemanly formality and put-upon chivalry he never tries for anyone else. he also /stops/ talking like this to victoria pretty quickly - it's not how he /wants/ to act with her, once they're on friendly terms! but he thinks this is what will make her feel calm and secure, when he's a stranger breaking into her room after months of isolation. his instinct is that she wants a knight in shining armour who talks properly and is the image of politeness even when he's in the middle of barricading a door.

and it /works/, in this instance - he does put her at ease, he does get answers out of her, and they build a rapport very quickly. but on the other hand it betrays so much of the misunderstanding at the core of their dynamic. because even though he stops talking to her like this, he goes on positioning himself as her protector, and he doesn't know how to handle it when the facade breaks and he can't stop her from being frightened.

Remade the poll, again, again, lol. Realized at the end of my work shift I'd forgotten to mention important things only I as the author knows and should be weighed in with the voting.

Bucky believes Becca is dead, whether or not he remembers her existence or not (he doesn't know the twins or Jamie exist at all); debating a change to have him witness her "death" instead of just taking HYDRA's word for it before brainwashing

Any reunions/first meetings that happen will be months after everyone is brought back from the Blip/Snap
