i’m thinking So Much about Wesker and Birkin tonight. especially their timeline together and how their relationship progressed and changed. it’s just insane to me how much lore they have together, there’s SO much of them it makes me so giddy.

for example- i find it soooo interesting that at the beginning they had a rivalry, or at least the directors at Umbrella Training Facility were told to encourage a rivalry between them. i wonder what they thought of each other. i wonder how they spoke to each other and how intense their rivalry was or how long it lasted. i wonder when they became friends

i also find it so fascinating that they were almost immediately put into high ranking positions at Arklay. i wonder how this changed their relationship-if it changed at all. i wonder how they interacted there, how they worked together post-Training Facility days.

i also love how much depth was given to their relationship during the Arklay lab days and how certain events affected them. like Alexia and her introduction to Arklay. and William’s mental health declining as a result… especially with how adamant he was about being The Best and proving that his research was the most important.

all of this the way Wesker speaks about this. it makes me feel so. gueuhhrhhhg (i wish i could find the note referenced in this post but for the time being i don’t have it💔)

they make me sick in the best way they drive me absolutely insane. i could think about them for HOURS
