if there's anything I can say to stop kids from getting into smoking and vaping or help someone quit, I'm 20 and have crows feet and other lines on my face mostly around the mouth and eyes. there are so many reasons to quit or to not start. You will never feel as healthy or be as healthy if you smoke/vape, but in this looks obsessed world. vaping ages your face, visibly. I look visibly older because I vape.

I don't get to experience those things with my partner now, I'll have these lines a decade before they get theirs.

for whatever reason, even if it is superficial, don't vape or smoke.

When my sister had a brain aneurysm burst, the neurosurgeon told our family that while smoking can cause brain aneurysms, vaping is 15 times more likely to cause them. We were like, "Yeah. No more vaping for her!"

That doctor saved her life with a 7 hour surgery. The first hospital didn't even want to do surgery. They just told us that she was dying. This neurosurgeon at another hospital said he would take on her case. She coded in transit, but they brought her back. My sister is the strongest and most stubborn person I know, so she survived, but she still hasn't been able to return to work after nearly 2 years due to debilitating head pain, nerve pain, and dizziness.

Bottom line, vaping fucked her up. It upended her life, which was finally starting to look up for her, and every day for the past 22 months has been a struggle for her. Don't vape. Don't let it kill you. Don't let it destroy your life and your health.

genuinely so many of you want to be leftist and "punk" and countercultural soooooo bad but you refuse to become comfortable with the concept of people taking drugs for fun because they like it and not because they were somehow tricked or forced into it without knowing what they were getting themselves into

you'll be like "addiction is a disease!!" but think you're better than those degenerate stoners because you only drink energy drinks and white claws and would never touch "illegal drugs"

many if not most drugs CAN be consumed completely safely with almost 0 risk to the user and even if that werent true and all drugs were extremely dangerous you still wouldn't be better than those of us who love doing drugs recreationally

lighten up and grow up. get offline, talk to real adults, and stop being shocked to discover that they enjoy doing stuff that adults do like have sex and do drugs and even listen to rock and roll
