The sensibilities and reservations of a priest and sense of a man replaced entirely by the beasts wants. Wandering miles away from the temple and little village he knew, Ambrose spots his prey. A deer, antlers haloing the overarching moon that drove him here.

In an instant, his maw deep into its ribs, thick tongue lapping at the entrails and swallowing its liver whole. Blonde curly fur stained with entrails, he continues to root around the corpse. Continually stripping flesh from bone with precise flicks of its head, completely unaware of the world outside him and the prey. @waveringfaith

Oliver has memorized the names and faces of every living person that lived on his side of the forest. An apparently rabid wolf roaming the grounds was certainly not what he would’ve expected to be warned about upon one of his guards hurriedly rushing into his office. The day had dragged out uneventfully, and the prospect of something which could bring potential benefit makes him step out to investigate it himself.

The guards are ordered to stay in the castle. They’d be of no use. If the beast were to attack, Oliver had his own creatures who wouldn’t hesitate to do the same.

The smell of a fresh kill makes him slow to a halt, hand clutching the handle of his sword in precaution as he steps slowly, tentatively towards the beast. Even hunched over, Oliver could tell it easily towers over any normal human. It’s obviously incredibly destructive.

As much as this revelation surprises him, he would be lying if he said he hadn’t had similar thoughts. It was difficult to not let his mind wander. They would look so much smaller in his arms…

Innocently, when Oliver had told the others he wanted to be alone, Leander hadn’t thought that meant for the whole day, nor did he think their newest guest had to be excluded as well. Merrick has been staying here for quite some time now during her recuperation, and she seemed nicer than the other humans to the smallest creature. He had worriedly scurried off to find her to see if she’d be able to peek inside and see if the angel was alright, pointing insistently at the entrance to the house no matter her response.

The moment she walks in, it’s a complete contrast to how it looked the first time she arrived. The warmth of the fireplace is gone, the candles creating light blown out in an attempt to cool down his overheated body. He can sense her presence the second she had gotten close enough to his home, hear every step she takes and every breath she breathes, smells the hint of something that only makes him groan, and he catches a glimpse of her from the corner of his eye.

He’s panting, wings twitching around him as he grips the pillow below him so tightly he nearly punctures the case. Those were easily replaceable though. His soul was something created to be perfect, pure, something no human could ever aspire to be. Now, however, he can feel himself trying to fight against the energy that surrounded Merrick. It’s dark, tempting, addicting.

1. the band ghost - i roleplay as all the ghouls & papa emeritus IV (copia) and am open to romantic or platonic!! i have a couple of ideas for this!

2. sleep token - i’ve slowly been growing obsessed with the lore of this band and i’m interested in trying something with them! (obviously not the real people behind the masks lmfao, just the sort of lore with sleep and vessel and all that)
