Alright so if I may ask. If you were offered to be a writer on Hazbin/Helluva would you take it?

If Viv was still on the project no. She changed a script without informing the main writer of the episode, she has ghost writers / doesn't give credit to people who gave her ideas or wrote out portions of a script, and her scripts would probably have 40+ comments and fix suggestions on my behalf that she would be very upset with and probably ignore. We'd probably fight over the storyline for several hours without getting anywhere. It would be a production hell standstill where I couldn't contribute anything.

Jean confesses her feelings for Bateman (girl RUN) and he actually feels touched by her "ignorance of evil." the possibility of "accepting" her love but not returning it is there in his head. he's still largely numb but she does manage to touch him and then, of course, Bateman decides "she has one more test to pass."

"Do you own a briefcase?" OF COURSE we're back to the products, the endless products. Jean might be able to awaken some small feeling in Bateman but does she own a briefcase? A hard pill for me to swallow lately has been that, despite everything, I'm probably the best version of myself that could've existed. And that's not really a comforting thought.

#it's a special kind of doomed imo.#every other path most likely led to something worse #maybe it's pessimistic to think of it that way. maybe I should be more grateful that it isn't worse #but it's hard to find that within me atm #the best of bad outcomes doesn't mean good. it doesn't mean I'm happy.#it just means every other option would have been more miserable. and it's disheartening to think like that ofc #and I know the logic is flawed. but I know myself and even with the advantages I have I'm unable to make anything of myself #had I chosen differently it would only be worse. I'd still be impoverished. I'd still be depressed.#I might just also be stuck in a cult and married w kids in the middle of fucking nowhere wisconsin on top of it all #<- that's the worst case scenario. probably. really hard to say #biggest bullet I've dodged yet tho. completely unintentionally too.#another hard pill to swallow: sometimes the things we want the most WILL ruin your life and it's a blessing when it falls through #unfortunately you don't get to know this until years later #as you watch your ex best friend marry a man almost 2x her age and birth kids she never wanted into this world #and then you're like OHHHH that would've been my fate... I get it now 😐#still. there's no relief in the realization because while you would've been miserable w a shitty husband and 3 or 4 kids #you are in fact still miserable without them. but oh well.#I would say 'anyways. if the nagi-reo comparison holds it's like isagi was able to make that shot because hiori was there? in the panel where kaiser thinks "yoichi awakens…" the manga is once again careful to present isagi and hiori together, hiori instigated isagi's awakening

if the nagi-reo comparison holds more it's like kaiser's shot added spin because kaiser's and isagi's "new weapons" steal qualities of nagi's shot? this is 100% spitballing but nagi's goal chapter title (回天) emphasizing the "spin" as a distinctive feature of his goal. so isagi and kaiser each take elements from nagi's goal, isagi takes the gun part while kaiser takes the spinning part, the basis for this is my initial confusion over how "adding spin to kaiser impact" would be related to beating isagi but if it exists to be connected to nagi it makes a brute force-type of narrative sense. also if seen this way it's a very good thing kaiser's shot failed like he may have really dodged a bullet there
