Saiyuki: Genjyo Sanzo as “Tripitaka” or “Tang Sanzang” or “Xuanzang”
Four of four from a set of post cards, we have Genjyo Sanzo cosplaying as the his counterpart from the original Chinese novel "Journey to the West"....REALLY SANZO-SAMA?! Why do you have to be the special one with three varieties to your counterpart's name? Well, the first two versions are from the literary work and "Xuanzang" is the historical character the fictional character was based on which our bad boy Sanzo was based on...yeah, this is getting too long.
It's good to know our Sanzo-sama can put up a much better fight on his own compared to his counterpart. Still, I'd say it still stands his companions have to keep him safe from getting eaten by youkai thinking they'll become immortal. Some things never change...This completes the "Journey to the West" cosplay set.
Journey to the West  or Journey to the Extreme? You decide ^^
If re-posting please credit to “flowermiko” at Tumblr or Twitter.  DO NOT UPLOAD TO ZEROCHAN. Thank you and enjoy!

Deadly Sins (Sinbad x Reader)
Pinterest image uploaded by zerochan anime
Tumblr media
"Your father would be disappointed".
The man before you stopped dead in his tracks. Body stiffening and eyes widening from the audacity he had just heard.
By now, Sinbad's golden hues were filled with hate, anger boiling up quickly. How could you, Y/n, his soulmate, who he supposably loves, say such a thing?
Outside, the night was dark, with the moon barley making an appereance. Many clouds blocking the few stars that radiated some sort of light. The wind made itself present with the ruffuling of the trees. Despite the cold weather, you felt hot, Sinbad's eyes piercing through your soul. And while the look on the man, you thought you knew, was slowly killing you, you didn't regret a single word.
You knew Sinbad since he was just a 16 year old dork, who told stories about his adventures in the colosseum, in the most cheesy way possible you may add. You knew him as the guy who was thrown off a cliff naked, alongside Ja’Far and Mystras. You did not know, however, the guy who sacrificed Serendine so he could get Zepar, nor did you know the man standing in front of you. ‘Cause he was not your Sinbad.
Lost in your train of thought, you did not notice the man walking towards you and closing the distance gap. Only when he leaned in and your skin felt his breath, did you realize of the dangerous situation you had gotten yourself into.
“I dare you to say that again”.
Just as you had anticipated, his voice was harsh and low, sending shivers down your spine. You did not waver though…because you meant every single thing.
“I know you Sinbad. I damn well know who I fell for and you are not that person. I know your father was kind and simple and I sure as hell know your mother didn’t raise you to be a manipulative bitch! So yeah, both would be disappointed”.
Sinbad scowl just deepened but it soon turned to a laughing fit, a psychotic laughing fit. You could only watch and swallow hard for this being the first time you ever witness said reaction. Sinbad would have never thrown his hand at you or hurt you in any way, now you weren’t so sure.
His laughter soon ceased to exist.
“I created an utopia! I’ve made the world’s economy grow! I hAVe cReaTED PEACE! I’VE Made tHe WORLD A BETTER PLACE! And YOU DarE—But at what cost?!”
Your sudden outburst took the formerly known King of Sindria by surprise. You always did know how to go toe-to-toe with him.
“At what cost?” You ask again. And while you don’t notice it, Sinbad sees the tears running down your face hysterically. “You lied to your friends and used them as pawns, you attacked the Kou, manipulated Aladdin, Ali Baba, Kougyoku, and countless others. Yamato Takeruhiko, Ren Hakuryuu, and Nerva Julius are in a wanted list?! Look around you, there’s nothing left.” By now, your crying your eyes out and you hated yourself for it. Allowing someone to see you in this vulnerable state was despiteful. Taking a small breath, you decided to appeal to the logical side of your brain. “You’ve abandoned the people you swore to protect, and yes, you created an utopia, but when things are too good to be true…is because they are.”
Your mother always told you to keep your chin high and you were not gonna disappoint her now. With redden eyes you looked up at the man who had broken your heart.A small part of you wished that he would reflect on what you’ve said, but it was wishful naive thinking. Sinbad’s eyes were void of emotion.
With shaky breaths you continued. “But above all the horrible things you’ve done, I never thought you would do the thing I feared the most.” “Yeah, and what is that?”
You looked at Sinbad one last time while you backed away towards the door.
“You stopped loving me.”

Guys. Please don’t reblog fanart from that @baku-bombshell account.
They’ve started to put “Source” beneath a lot of the pictures recently, but it leads to a third party site called Zerochan which for those of you that don’t know just steals fanart from artists, a bit similar to Pinterest/weheartit where users can upload any fanart to the site without proper permission or credit.
Most of the artists whos art they’re stealing do not allow reposts of their art.
Please be careful and support our content creators💕

‘But PGR is sooooo BORING!’ I don’t think it is.
Punishing Gray Raven has been called ‘repetitive’ by quite a few people, players included. Which has led to some players bowing out of the experience. I honestly wish we could actually explore the Grand Blue theme park, instead of just using it as a battleground. Then again, we do have to remember that Constructs and Transcendentals were (sadly) designed for war. And we have the astronomically popular Genshin Impact. Hordes of players talk about how repetitive the daily tasks are, but as we all know, that game has a colossal fan base.
PGR may have a lot of localization issues, and I personally think Chapter 8 fell REALLY flat, but there’s an abundance of pretty amazing lore. For each character. Lee, Kamui and Chrome have untapped lore potential, in my opinion. Personal opinion also says Kamui was done REALLY dirty in Chapter 8-but hey, Grand Blue’s making up for the whole ‘MY FRIENDS ARE MY POWER’ falling really flat.
I understand why players think it’s repetitive, though. The stages are short, you can’t date Lee and it can feel like 98% of the game is split between combat and localization errors. But there’s so much more to enjoy outside of combat. You can spend time with your buddies in the Dorms. You can get Lee’s new skin, make him your Construct Aide and stare at him every time you every open the game. There’s fan art on DeviantArt, Zerochan, Pixiv and probably other places I can’t think of. There’s the billibilli site in which fun PGR videos are uploaded. We have the astoundingly adorable animated shorts.
You can also make OCs and imagine them inside the world of Punishing Gray Raven. NO, this isn’t shameless blog promoting. It’s true. Make an OC and have them date Lee. Or whoever. Self ship yourself with one of the characters. Or you could just listen to the God-tier music.
So a lot of the enjoyment comes from the game’s lore, its characters, music and things that exist outside of the game. Problematic, but a lot of Genshin Impact’s popularity comes from its characters and lore. Not necessarily the gameplay.
What am I saying? Punishing Gray Raven deserves more love.

This took me days to finish, in large part due to distractions, sleeping, and researching swimwear, which is my fault so don't worry, also sorry for not uploading this during the day yesterday, it's because of the first 2 things I've just mentioned. Anyways on to the drawing:
Nemu's suit was originally gonna just be a standard one piece suit that you see children wear, but during my research on Brigitte's swimwear, I came across the term "modest swimsuits" and found not only suits that aren't skimpy as all heck*, but a one-piece suit that looks similar to the standard one-piece except with shorts-esque pant-legs, and I just have to give it to Nemu because it's perfect for her.
Speaking of Brigitte, I had a bit of a trying time on what suit to give her because she's the more mature and fashionable of my OCs. But then I looked back on "Avatar the Last Airbender"'s Beach Episode, did a quick google search on what Romani women wore as well as the aforementioned modest swimsuits from before, and came up with something that's respectful to both her character and background. That and she's an beautiful woman sure, but she can be beautiful without being too revealing, right?
Neashi's suit is basically the same as before, except I did some changes because I wasn't too happy with the old swimsuit anymore. I removed the black bikini that was underneath upon realizing why I wasn't happy with it: she had two suits that over powered it instead of one, and made it just a two-piece teal green swimsuit so now it doesn't look outta wack, that and I shortened her shorts' pant-legs. I also changed the colors to be more darker and greener since the old one was a bit too blueish.
Now onto the men: I unfortunately didn't do anything special for Dimitri and Kaze other than giving them shirts, and no I'm not a misandrist and never want to be, it's because I have a trying time with guys clothes because they're more or less the same every time IRL compared to women's clothes which are a lot more diverse......basically I have a fun time with women's clothing than I do men's. Be it as it may, if you feel offended and/or disappointed, I do apologize in advance.
*Nothing against sexy swimsuits of course, I just think it's refreshing to see something that isn't super revealing but still perfect for summer for once. Seems a bit fitting considering that KH is a Disney game, right?
These OCs belongs to me Bases belongs to Vonibuu Background from Zerochan(I highly recommend not using this as a permanent source of art due to the controversy it stirred years ago, this is just a temporary thing until I find a proper art source)

Hello! I really fall in love with your blog! Thank you very much for those Vorpal Swords headcanons! Can I ask headcanons about being Rakuzan manager? For example, how she cares about boys and they care about her; how Rakuzan protects her; How she supports them at games. And Akashi likes her. Good luck to your blog!
A/N: Hello there! I’m glad to know that you’re enjoying these, so I hope that this one will be to your liking as well! Also to those who don’t know what a ‘bokken’ is: it’s basically a wooden sword, Japanese swordswomen and men use for training!
Tags: Akashi x reader ✅  Rakuzan x reader ✅  SFW ✅  fluff ✅  friendship ✅
image/art source: Zerochan (art by Tousaku) [I sadly couldn't find the corresponding post where they uploaded it, since that artist seems to be inactive atm, but if you happen to stumble upon it, please make sure to tell me!]
━━━━☆ ━━━━☆ ━━━━☆
Tumblr media
so first of all how did you even become Rakuzan’s manager?
well you were actually taking care of the team BEFORE Akashi joined the club
back then you guys were a wholesome team, but the moment the redhead was pronounced captain it all went downhill...
your former teammates began dropping out with the same complaints
“He’s too strict”, “I can’t train like this anymore”, “When he’s on the court, basketball loses its fun factor!”
even if you hated to admit it...they were right
Akashi was a REALLY strict leader who always wanted his team members to give it their all
100%? Not enough, make it a 110 and then you might be chosen as a substitute
during the first half of the school year, you put up with everything he threw at you, whether it were insults or commands
at one point you weren’t even the manager anymore but became his loyal puppy that did everything he instructed you to do
the things he requested weren’t even worthy to your title...unless you like standing in front of the gym door, acting like a bodyguard at the disco
and of course, even you had your limits
after Akashi had once again decided to give you an unreasonable task, you finally snapped
“I’ve had enough! Just who do you think you are, ordering me around as if I was your subordinate!”
“Listen. You either fix that emperor like attitude of yours, or you end up losing one of Japan’s strongest team...including me.”
in your state of anger, you had shoved the clipboard you were using against his chest and had stormed off the gym
a whole week had passed and you didn’t visit the club even once, that’s how pissed off you were
one day just when you thought about filling up a club withdrawal paper, there was a letter in your locker
...
Dear (Y/N)...I know that the way I’ve been acting up until now has upset you, but the reasoning behind my behavior is a simple one. All I desire is to see whom of these ‘star players’ everybody (including you) praises, can actually live up to their title. Sadly, I’ve come to the conclusion that none of them were able to, so I’ve decided to build up a new team in which you as well are going to be needed. I sincerely hope that you are willing to help the new Rakuzan basketball club reach even greater heights than ever before. Yours faithfully, Akashi Seijuro
P.S: We need you manager.
...
the first half of the letter had made your blood boil, but the further you read the more your curiosity got peaked
but you didn’t want to give in that easily, so you decided to visit the club one day to see what Akashi’s idea of an absolute basketball team looked like
...
...
“So (Y/N)..what do you think?“, Akashi asked after practice had ended
you had just looked at him with one of your ‘are you kidding me?’ faces and shook your head
these boys...
a) looked like full-fledged men to you
b) could easily snap you in half if they wanted to (especially Nebuya)
and finally
c) were probably all legendary NBA players in their past life
all in all they were amazing
watching them play gave you the impression of an actual and professional basketball game...that’s just how good they were
.
..
...
two months passed and you had taken the role of the manager once again
you hated to admit it, but Akashi was once again right..this team was absolutely amazing and worthy of any title you could think of
luckily these boys turned out to be more wholesome than you had ever anticipated
knowing that all of them had their struggles and own problems to deal with, despite their flawless appearance made you realize that that they were indeed your typical high school boys and not some basketball machines
sadly they couldn’t - or better said - weren’t allowed to show any weakness during training...these were Akashi’s orders
much to your surprise, they had accepted it with much less resistance than the members before them, but you were a little anxious that they might end up quitting the team so you took it upon yourself to prevent that scenario from arriving
from that day forward you began spending more and more time with all the members (except Akashi) …
.
Reo:
as the vice-captain he was to ensure that everybody followed the training regimen they were given by the redhead (in case of his absence)
sadly due to his laid-back nature and feminine speech, almost no one took him seriously
that’s where you come in…
“Come on now guys! Listen to Reo or I’ll get the bokken! And if that doesn’t get you guys moving then I’m sure a short phone call with Akashi certainly will...”
the second line always worked and even managed to make Reo giggle
after that, he’d always thank you several times and while the others ran laps/were stretching the two of you would always talk about that day’s schedule
by the end of practice, Reo and you would actually go out and do some shopping while talking about different topics
and thanks to his talented eye for the beautiful, your wardrobe was full with clothes that complimented your figure just perfectly, which only boosted your ego
a certain topic you guys started talking about only recently was romance
at first you were extremely careful to not touch upon any touchy subject since there were a lot of rumors amongst your classmates, concerning Reo’s sexual orientation
but the more you got to know him, the easier it was for you to talk to him and in no time the two of you had become best friends
whenever someone either came up to you or him and wanted to just mess around, the two of you got each other’s backs at all time and would either intervene directly or call for backup (mainly Nebuya)
thanks to Reo’s ‘big sister’ personality you luckily never felt alone or at a loss, since you knew that he’d always be there for you and help you out
Kotarou:
this boy seriously makes you run for your money
he’d always arrive almost half an hour earlier than the others just cause he wants to mess around with you (he’d for example take your clipboard and make you literally chase him for it)
at first it upset you quite a bit, but as time passed you eventually got used to it and evolved your strategy
you chase him?
hell NO
you’d instead sit down on one of the benches and wait for him to bring it back to you
your strategy for that was to remain silent and show no reaction whatsoever whenever he asked if you weren’t going to chase him like the ‘good old times’
he’d then get so worried that he’s upset you that he gives up, brings you your clipboard and starts either poking your cheeks, playing with your hair or straight out embrace you
the latter always broke your façade
his warm hugs accompanied by the glistening puppy eyes and his snaggletooth always made you pity him and wonder if you’ve perhaps gone too far
the moment you’d give in, his cheerful attitude was back in an instant
and that routine became pretty much a daily ritual between the two of you
what perhaps surprised you the most was when you actually witnessed Kotarou’s other side of his bubbly personality
he was surprisingly the ‘holding a grudge’ type (especially on the court)
Rakuzan had a practice match once and when a player of the opposing team made it past the blond boy seconds later he was fuming, glaring at everyone who even looked his way and screamed more as well as louder than usual
the others around you weren’t even faced by his sudden tantrum so it was up to you to calm him down before the referee gave him a yellow card
since then his mood-swings became your responsibility
outside of the gym, you guys spent a good amount of time together
you mostly helped him out with his homework since he really wasn’t the brightest out of the bunch (and as some of you might know in Japan your grades play a major role when you’re a part of a club. Depending on your test results you might get excluded from some of the activities as far as I know) and you weren’t going to leave on any activity without this ball of sunshine
to pay you back for your help he’d go skateboarding with you on the weekend
in case you forgot or couldn’t skate he’d help you remember or teach it to you
much to your surprise, he was quite a good teacher, so it was easy for you to understand the basics and even learn some of the simplest tricks on the way
but in case you were some kind of a pro (or simply good) at it, he’d challenge you to a small contest and by the end of it the two of you would actually come up with a small choreography
Nebuya:
to be frank, he intimidated the heck out of you (at first) and he was actually the most difficult for you to approach
the main reason for your reluctance was mainly because of his appearance, but just a day after you were first introduced to him made you change your mind
on your way to school you took the train and as commonly known the trains in Japan were the majority of the time extremely filled with people and some of them just couldn’t keep their hands by themselves and just had to go ahead and start feeling people up
in that case, the victim was unfortunately you
the typical reaction of your other female classmates would’ve been to stand there and do nothing about it, but you were different
“Excuse me, but could you stop touching me?“, you asked in a loud voice making sure that at least some people witnessed what was happening
you couldn’t care less if you guys became the center of attention, all you wanted was to get this creep’s hands away from your body...and you did
what you didn’t know/notice was that Nebuya had actually seen all of it and wanted to come and help, but you were quicker
when you got out of the train he caught up to you and directly asked if you were ok
he even went ahead and bowed his head to you apologizing multiple times for not reacting quick enough
it surprised and scared you at the same time, but this was kind of a chance to finally talk to him, so you made sure to not let that opportunity slip away
and trust me when I say this, but this man turned out to be a bigger softie than you anticipated
since that day he became the person you’d call upon first in case of trouble you couldn’t solve on your own
Nebuya even volunteered to be your bodyguard, but you weren’t really a damsel in distress so you refused at first
and after many arguments, pouts and pleas you finally gave in and agreed to go to school together every day
additionally during training he’d make sure to be the first one to save you from any flying ball
much to his dismay, you managed to dodge or even to catch the majority of them which made his attempts completely futile
so in order for him to stop sulking about how he had ‘failed to show you his muscles in action’, you’d go out and help him with his workout
sometimes you’d even be his motivational right hand during his own eating contests
and when he decided to show his ‘manly’ side and either burps or lets out gas, your bokken was on him just some seconds later
Mayuzumi:
this boy seriously hated you in the beginning
in his eyes you were nothing but a loud girl who wanted some attention and tried to gain it by acting as the manager
much to his surprise you figured him out pretty quickly
you somehow knew when he became irritated on the court and immediately took action to prevent any outbursts from him or someone else
furthermore, you supported his hobby without asking questions and when he expressed the wish to go to the rooftop and read a chapter or maybe even two from his light novel, you’d just let him go
one afternoon he came to the gym to excuse himself from training and found only you and how you had fallen asleep on the referee table
his first thought was to leave before you even noticed that he’d been there, but then he saw a small notebook with the title ‘RAKUZAN BB CLUB’ so he got curious and started reading your handwritten entries about all of the members
each member had a few pages worth of information you had either gathered yourself or looked up
he found it a tad adorable that you reserved the last page for a personal comment on a player since it reminded him of how some of his authors wrote an afterword at the end of their story
as soon as he read his name though he suddenly became really reluctant to proceed
for some reason, he was afraid of what you might have written/researched about him
he started to read it anyways
“...”
“Has a low presence...well yeah I guess”
“...”
“Seems to be prouder than he lets on? W-Wha? That’s not even...true”
“...”
“Probably swears at his teammates internally...how did she know?!”
“...”
“It would make me happy if we talked more to each other, but he probably hates me... ”
Mayuzumi would’ve never told you, but that last line hurt him quite a bit
.
that day he decided to join practice and when you called for a timeout you’d always leave his towel and water bottle on the bench next to you and he’d normally just take it, but this time he murmured a barely audible ‘thank you’
you almost fainted then and there, but somehow managed to keep up your serious facial expression (which he very much appreciated)
the two of you would almost never go out/spend time together, but instead, you began exchanging small gestures like you buying him a new volume of his favorite author or him hiding a small ‘thank you’ note in your notebook
Akashi (finally):
since you and he know each other from way back, you didn’t have that much contact in the beginning since you wanted to take your time to get to know the new members, but Akashi’s eyes were always on you
if someone out of the other members even dared to ask him if he harbored feelings for you...then let us just pray that he doesn’t have Midorima’s scissors with him
but if one of his main players (most likely Kotarou) asked him about it, he’d just cut him off quickly and shut the conversation down
Rakuzan’s captain cares for you in his own kind of way
he’d support you from afar and make sure that no one who he doesn’t deem as worthy comes even remotely close to you
you weren’t aware, but since you had once again become the manager of the reformed Rakuzan you became quite popular
a lot of people admired you, some were even impressed or jealous and some even began having feelings for you
“I’m thinking about asking (Y/N) out...what do you think?”
as soon as Akashi heard your name in such a conversation he instantly made his move
don’t ask how he did it, but within a week you had gained the reputation of being ‘out of limits’ for everyone except for the club and your friends and just in case someone felt the need to be adventurous, there was no way they’d be let into the gym (thanks to Akashi’s orders and Nebuya’s muscular body)
.
the redhead had first noticed his feelings for you when you snapped at him back then
for him it was the first time someone even dared to speak up against him and even insult him
he was surprised and very annoyed at first, but as the days passed by him and his incomplete team he figured that it would be the best to start anew
so he scouted three of the uncrowned kings and a 3rd-year student who basically was a future version of Kuroko
when the stage was set all he needed was for the main star to appear, so he sent you that letter where he invited you to watch the new team
.
as far as the confession goes...
Akashi is a very strategic person, so he’d most likely wait for his promise to come true (the promise of Rakuzan reaching greater heights) and then confess saying something like:
“See? I’ve kept my promise...now it’s your turn.”

Hello just dropping into say that you’ve kinda inspired me to make a daily pics for one of the other Hypmic charas !! (Samatoki specifically) if I may ask do you have any advice or anything on how to start it up n stuff ? ;;
I'd recommend always having few pics in the queue... sometimes life is tough and that way you're making sure that the blog is running even when you don't have time to set everything up.
For pics I recommend Hypmic wiki (they have all of the ARB cards, I believe), Hypmic ARB (I... play a lot of Hypmic ARB, so I personally just take screenshots of the cards if I have them), following Hypmic twitter (for merch announcements and so on) and Hypmic ARB twitter... you can find covers of Zero-Sum magazine (new chapters of the manga are released in that magazine, I believe) in pretty high quality on Zerochan. And there's also the manga. @/slugtranslation-hypmic uploads translated manga so you can get it there or buy it. There's also Hypmic guidebook
Just remember to tag your things properly and you should be fine! :)
Please tag either this blog or my personal (@towaberusu) if you'll end up creating your own Samatoki-themed blog. I'd be happy to give you a shoutout! If you have any other questions, feel free to send an ask again, too

Hope to see you at HiNaegi Festival!
Submission Guidelines:
Here are the general guidelines for participation:
For each submission, please tag @hinaegifestival so that we can see your post! Tumblr’s tagging system is even worse than it was last year and we don’t trust it to let us see all of your works, so this will make it much easier for us to see your fanwork! You can still use the tags #hinaegi festival 2019 / #hinaegifestival2019, or #hinaegi week 2019 / #hinaegiweek2019 if you wish (and if it is platonic and you want it seen platonic, put it somewhere in the post or tags!), as long as you’ve tagged us in the post! If you’re not sure we will see it/it is not showing up in the tags/I miss it, message us or tag us @hinaegifestival (or directly to Kimmy or Yare! Kimmy @hajimehinata-kun, and Yare is @lucckykun ) Sometimes these things happen, especially if you have a link going out of Tumblr ^^
As stated above, you don’t need to stick to the prompts chosen for the week! They are only there to help guide you! That said, it would help if you put somewhere in the posts/tags what day this was meant for so we can tag it appropriately! You also do not need to participate every day! Participate as much as you like and fill as many prompts as you want to! The goal is not to push yourselves, but to spread the love for our lovely ships!
You can submit your prompts as early or late as you want! (even if it’s several months later!) For early submissions, we will queue the post for the appropriate day. For late submissions, we will post as soon as we’re able to. Please message your post to @hinaegifestival (or directly to Kimmy or Yare! (@hajimehinata-kun or @lucckykun ) For the most part, we are going to try to reblog your work within 24 hours of your message and let you know! (On a side note, there is going to be some time that Kimmy will be on vacation from July 26th to August 9th, but Yare is going to take care of the blog, and he will be the one to reblog your late submissions, should you post during the time I am away!
Each fanwork must clearly be HiNaegi, Kamuegi, or Kamuhinaegi (platonic or romantic) You can have other characters (and if you are going the platonic route, other pairings), but the focus must be on Makoto Naegi and Hajime Hinata/Izuru Kamukura.
All forms of fanwork are accepted! (Fanart, fanfiction, cosplay, text chats, imagines/headcanons, memes, sprite edits, voice acting, animation, stim boards, etc.) However, the fanwork must be entirely yours, or have your sources clearly and correctly credited (ex: no weheartits, zerochans, or pinterests, and no “credit to the artists” or similar) we will block people who don’t credit the original creators, as reposting hurts the community more than it will ever help.
NSFW will be allowed, but because of Tumblr guidelines, you will need to upload it elsewhere. You can put a preview and then link your fanworks in the post!. Other sensitive material is allowed, but please tag all possible trigger warnings appropriately!
If you want to participate, but wish to remain anonymous, we will respect your wishes! Please submit any fanwork you make for HiNaegi Festival, and we will post it and keep you anonymous!
Respect each other and respect other people’s entries!
The most important rule: have fun! We are all here to celebrate HiNaegi and Kamuegi, and hopefully expand the ship a little more ^^ Level of experience doesn’t matter at all! What does is your participation and willingness to spread the HiNaegi/Kamuegi love :)

Questions and Answers 1/?
@ukrainianliteratureforlife: Is there any particular period of history that you find fascinating? If yes, what is it?
The rise and fall of any mighty nation/empire fascinate me. Right now, my focus is outside Western Europe and the United States and in civilizations neglected in "world history" classes, i.e. the dynasties of Korea, pre-colonial African kingdoms, independence movements in South America, Nordic conflicts, and the Heian period in Japan.
Tumblr media
Plaid Noodles: How long does it usually take you to gather pictures to put in the video? And how long does it take on average to have any of your videos fully complete and ready to post?
Short answer: It depends.
Long answer: It can take as short as a couple hours to a couple weeks to gather pictures to put in the video. I gather from various sources: talented artists on Tumblr, pins on Pinterest, zerochan, etc. Editing on Cyberlink PowerDirector takes about 6 hours, and I usually have to go and find more pictures after realizing I don't have enough while editing. More popular characters are easier to find, but I also seek to diversify my vids so that continues to be a struggle. Once I upload a vid to YouTube, I need to put a description and I usually like to put in captions, so that takes another 1-2 hours.
Tumblr media
PrismBlue: Do you like any other anime?
Of course! Attack on Titan, Tokyo Ghoul, Black Butler, Yuri on Ice, Free, Kuroko no Basuke, Welcome to the Ballroom, Chihayafuru, Aggretsuko, PsychoPass, Your Lie in April, Ouran High School Host Club, Cells at Work, Death Note, Karneval, Kids on the Slope, Hakuouki, and Tsurune.
Pop Xaverius Molian: What is/are your favourite ship/s and the journey behind it! I'd love to hear how you end up in this hell lol
If I had to choose my favorite ships, they're AusHun and PruHun, the two ships that got me into Hetalia in the first place after watching an interesting AMV on YouTube. I ended up staying in the fandom for USA.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Audrey Navarro: What activities do you like to do in your spare time?
Reading, singing, watching Netflix/Disney+, listening to podcasts on Spotify
gaeulsky: Which Hetalia character are you most similar to? (Not necessarily your favorite)
I cheated and took a test (https://www.quotev.com/quiz/3755805/Which-Hetalia-charter-are-you-New-version), and apparently it’s Romania.
From Hetalia Kitawiki: “He is described as friendly, cheerful, and a bit mischievous, but also as carelessly eccentric... Fairy tale princesses...bring out Romania's romantic side... He isn't always aware of how aspects of his history or culture may affect others, as he doesn't seem to notice when he disturbs Bulgaria with some of his stories. Character notes indicate that, despite his jokester appearance, he is a hard worker and is good at reading the atmosphere.” Yep, sounds like me.
Tumblr media
@randomfanmusings: Which Hetalia character would you kiss? Which one would you marry?
I would kiss Spain and marry Macau.

Saiyuki: Autographed by Goku
And heeeere comes our favorite saru-chan Goku's individual shot from the new photos part of the AGF 2017 "bromide" collection. I just want to go and pinch the cheeks on that cute face of his. Even if he's a grown man, a part of Goku will always be goofy and silly, and that's just fine!
I think the backdrop of the earthy-colored mountains (as opposed to the misty ones in Gojyo's pic or the mossy ones in Hakkai's) fit this earth child quite well. Another touch of genius from Minekura-sensei no less. As for Goku's signature, looks like his kanji's are getting a little less scribbly, heh heh. Practice makes perfect after all!
If re-posting please credit to “flowermiko” at Tumblr or Twitter.  DO NOT UPLOAD TO ZEROCHAN. Thank you and enjoy!

It would help me find your post much faster if you make sure one of these tags is among the first 5 tags of the post! If you’re not sure we will see it/it is not showing up in the tags/we miss it, message us or tag us @the-hinata-project! (or directly to a mod! Tags are below!) Sometimes these things happen, especially if you have a link going out of Tumblr ^^ (Also, it would be helpful to mention what day your entry is for!)

All forms of fanwork are accepted! (fanart, fanfiction, cosplay, text chats, imagines/headcanons, memes, sprite edits, voice acting, animation, aesthetics, stim boards, etc.) However, the fanwork must be entirely yours, or have your sources clearly and correctly credited (ex: no weheartits, zerochans, or pinterests, and no “credit to the artists” or similar) we will block people who don’t credit the original creators, as reposting hurts the community more than it will ever help.
NSFW will be allowed, but please put it under the cut and tag appropriately. If it is a fanart, you can put a preview. Videos and Audio posts must have an external link to the video and not a direct upload! (Previews are fine!) Other sensitive material is allowed, but please tag all possible trigger warnings appropriately!
If you want to participate, but wish to remain anonymous, we will respect your wishes! Please submit any fanwork you make for the Hinata Project, and we will post it and keep you anonymous! (If you don't want to share your email address, use [email protected] for the email!)

how to find a pic’s original source
Tumblr media
! ! PLEASE REBLOG TO HELP AND SHARE WITH OTHERS ! !
This is to help anyone who is willing to spend a little time to respect artists and editors! I hope this helps <3
Things to keep in mind: If the image you are sharing has already been uploaded on Tumblr please do not reupload it out of respect for the artist/editor. Take the time to broswe through their Tumblr accounts to see if the image has already been uploaded. Also- THESE TECHNIQUES ARE MOSTLY TARGETED TO DRAWN ART AND EDITS!
GENERAL TECHNIQUES
1. Use saucenao.com This website helps you to find the original source of pics really quickly! However, keep in mind that it is only able to scan picture that have NOT been heavily edits or cropped. If the image you have is already edited or crop, use the second technique below to find the original image and download it. Then proceed to uploading the original image on saucenao.com
2. Reverse Google Image Search *Disclaimer: this technique is not particularly efficient enough to find the original source, however, it is able to help you use the first technique better.* In order to to this, simply right-click on an image and click “search google for image”. If your picture is in your gallery folder, simply drag it into an empty tab on Google to be able to access the “search google for image” option.
3. ALWAYS BE ON A LOOK OUT FOR A WATERMARK This is mostly for edited pictures, but some artists to watermark their art as well. DO NOT just state the watermark as credit, example: “Credits to yanderelevifangirl”. In most cases, editors and artists would prefer if you linked or tagged their profile. It is most preffered for you to either try find their accounts by searching their watermarks on Google. They might have an account on Pixiv, Twitter, WeHeartIt or even on Tumblr.
SPECIFIC TECHNIQUES
1. Pictures from Pixiv The general pixiv url of an and uploaded image is just like this example: https://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=63602381 If you have originally downloaded an image from Pixiv and want to trace back the original source, simply copy the file’s name. For example, your file’s name may be this: “63602381_p0″. Then, copy and paste this url on an empty google tab “https://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=enter file’s number code″ and then paste ONLY THE NUMBERS of the file’s name. Delete any number or alphabets after the “_” symbol.
2. Pictures from Zerochan  *Disclaimer: Zerochan should be the last resort of credit if the other techniques do not apply to your file because the images are not the originally uploaded pictures from the artist, but it does state the artist on the tags of an image.* Just as the previous technique, the general url of an uploaded image is like this example: https://www.zerochan.net/2449753. However, the downloaded file’s name might be a bit complicated to know which number code you should copy. For example, the file name of the linked image above is “Boku.no.Hero.Academia.600.2449753″. Simply copy the numbers after the last decimal or period, which would be “2449753″. Then copy and paste this url “https://www.zerochan.net/enter file’s number code″ and paste the file’s number.
I might have missed a lot of other techniques, so please feel free to reblog and add on more techniques you know about!

this is a reminder for anyone who genuinely doesn’t know ! when you see a piece of art online and want to share it with people you need to ask permission from the artist before you post it and properly credit it. this is both because it’s just respectful to the artist to do so and because it has a real impact on visibility
posting a piece of art that you like without a source means both that the artist themselves will never see the praise they get for the piece and that people who would be willing to pay that artist for their work won’t be able to find them or won’t be willing to try to find them. this is both on the small scale (commissions) and on the large scale (getting hired for a big company with your online uploads acting as a portfolio)
this is even more of an issue when it’s a smaller artist (though you should always credit people regardless of how popular they already are, there will always be people who won’t recognize them) because your upload could potentially get more attention and praise than theirs, cutting off their ability to grow this is potentially painful financially but it can be outright demoralizing to the artist at it’s most extreme this has lead to people not sharing their artwork at all
and then of course there’s the simple issue that the artist may have already posted it to the platform that you want to post it to, which contributes to the issue even more as it makes your post a direct competitor to theirs
now, if you don’t know where a piece of art comes from this can all be a little daunting. I do want to say now that if you absolutely can’t find it then you shouldn’t post the artwork at all. it’s, somewhat more forgivable to ask your audience to help identify the artist with the intention of changing it to include who they are in the original post when you find it, but there will still be the issue of versions of the post existing without a source and the risk of that source never being found at all, so I still wouldn’t recommend that option
so ! here’s a little guide for a way to help find a source, it’s not perfect but it helps
1: go to google images
Tumblr media
2: hit the camera icon, opening up this search menu
Tumblr media
3: either click and drag the image into the section that says “Paste image URL” or upload the image with the section that says “Upload an image”
this will bring up a search result that’ll look like this, with a key term automatically chosen by google based on the image, you can change the keyterm and hit search again if you’d like, though it doesn’t matter as much !
Tumblr media
4: scroll down to the section that says “Pages that include matching images” this’ll display the websites that google detects as having these images on it
Tumblr media
5: from there you’ll need to search through those results to try to find the original ! depending on the image you may need to search through multiple pages or find pages that link back to the original. I already know that the source for this image is from cardentist since that’s me jfksld but for whatever reason google put “fangirls20″ first on account of it being their favorites. it’s fickle like that
sources you’ll wanna avoid beyond maybe checking to see if they link to the real source: instagram, zerochan, pinterest, weheartit, wattpad these all either have a Major art theft problem stemming from the people who use it Or they were outright made to compile other people’s artwork without permission (like in the case of weheartit). there are certainly others but this is what I know off of the top of my head and what you’re likely to run into
to filter out these sites you can simply add  -site:websitename.com to the search before the keyterm and they’ll disappear from the results, here’s me removing deviantart from the search
Tumblr media
of course in this case it gets rid of the useful results but well, it works for an example fkljds
again, this won’t always work. sometimes the reposted image is edited, sometimes the original poster has deleted the work itself or removed their entire account, sometimes google is just dumb, but it helps !

I am opening commissions! I'm back to really enjoying full bodies, so I've also added those in.
T.O.S.
I require reference art for each piece I do. I prefer this to be in the form of a sta.sh link, a Zerochan link, or a Toyhouse profile, but direct uploads to a DM or Discord (if you prefer to talk there) work as well. I will not open any links that are unfamiliar to me.
Full payment is required before I will begin working on the piece. Payment must be made in 14 days before I give your spot to the next person.
Payment is through PayPal only. You will need to provide an email to be sent an invoice.
All prices are in USD. If you are using foreign currency, double check the conversion rate as I cannot be held responsible for any mess up during the conversion process.
Credit me as the artist when using these pieces. Sockling13 is my username on just about every bit of social media I use.
Unless you specify otherwise, I will continue to use the artwork as a part of my portfolio. You will, however, be credited as the original designer of the character. I tend to post my work on DeviantArt, Instagram, Twitter, and Tumblr, so please provide a username for any social media you'd like to be credited on.
My watermark will remain on the art (though paid for art, or art received in trades, will have a much smaller and less obtrusive watermark).
Commercial use of the art piece will not be allowed, unless discussed beforehand.
You have the right to cancel your commission at any point. However, your refund will be based on the current progress of your piece, as I still expect to be paid for my time whether you still wish to receive a final product or not.
Each piece will be sent at various stages for review, depending on which stage you purchased (sketch will just have a chance to request changes, outline will see the sketch and outline, and so on and so forth).
I have the right to turn down any commission that makes me uncomfortable, or I believe I will not be able to complete for any reason.
My normal turnaround time (TAT) is less than two weeks. Depending on work volume and current life events, this could be extended to upwards of 30 days. I will inform you during the initial request where I’m at with my TAT.
If you are interested in commissioning my work, fill out the form below and either leave me a DM on DeviantArt or here, or message me on my Discord (sockling#3651).
ORDER FORM
Character Name:
Character reference(s): (Again, I will not click any links not mentioned above)
Commission type (bust/half body/full body, sketch/line/flat/shaded):
Background: Transparent or colored?
Personality/pose/expression (optional, but it does help me out):
Your email (choose the one you would like to have the invoice sent to):
Any other details you would like me to know about your character(s), optional:
As I occasionally stream using a VTuber model, you may request I stream part of the comm process. This will be no additional cost, and I will try to work with you on a time slot, though I do operate in EST. I may turn this down if I am busy, or have already guaranteed several other commissioners a slot.

Western social media has no respect for Japanese online artists - and it’s killing online art
The visual arts have evolved to suit the most popular medium of each era. In nowadays’ case, the internet is the go-to method of sharing the fruits of one’s labour). However, as stated in that tweet thread of mine you can see if you scroll down a bit (assuming you’re viewing this post on chariot313.tumblr.com) different cultures have different attitudes towards how their customers react to their products. This include you know what fuck the formalities, I’ll just say it: The exclusively western concept of someone seeing something they like online and hitting the share button to stimulate the “Haha, upvotes go ‘brrr’!” dopamine in their smooth-ass lizard brain will be the death of online Japanese artists. Or rather, it has been already, and you would know that if you’ve ever seen an artist’s Twitter bio be in mostly Japanese save for one sentence in English; “Reprint is prohibited.”.
If you want to hear me rationalize the absurd claim I just made, feel free to click the “Keep reading” button. Otherwise, turn back now and save yourself from me possibly wasting your time.
Alright, you’ve chosen to stick with me. Just remember, you asked for this.
Introduction
Social media as a whole is based around sharing (posting, uploading, submitting, tweeting, blogging, streaming etc.) and other’s reactions to what one has shared (views, likes, subscribers, favorites, followers, upvotes, retweets, reblogs, crossposts, etc.).
However, miscommunication and culture shock due to language barriers and cultural differences is one of the many factors that can negatively affect one’s experience on social media. For example, the Japanese artist community, active on sites such as Twitter, Pixiv, NicoNico Seiga, FC2 blogs, etc.. Twitter is mostly inhabited by English-speaking users. Here in the west, our main motive for sharing something on social media (such as art) is for fame and recognition. However, over in the East, most online artists only upload their works to the internet for personal use. I’m not saying one cultural attitude towards sharing art is better than one another, but when these two worldviews collide, the culture shock can negatively affect the careers of artists who are unaware of the other culture’s differing views on sharing art.
So, I’ve listed numerous social media platforms below and I’m going to elaborate on how each of them contributes to the alienation and discouragement of Japanese artists.
DO NOT WITCH-HUNT OR HARASS THE CULPRITS I’VE LISTED AS EXAMPLES; THEY ONLY SERVE TO BACK UP MY ARGUMENT
Twitter
Go into the twitter search bar and type in the name of an anime character (usually female). What do you find? Most likely an account named after said character that does nothing but post unsourced fan art of said character with cheesy “in-character” captions on them.
Exhibit A [NSFW]
Exhibit B [NSFW]
Exhibit C [very NSFW]
Aside from that, Twitter isn’t that bad in this regard, as a lot of the art that gets stolen is originally uploaded to Twitter anyway. But I’m just getting started.
Wattpad
Ah yes, Wattpad. One of the “trinity” of fan fiction communities (the others being fanfiction.net and AO³), featuring many different stories with varying degrees of readability. The problem is the option to add a picture to adorn your fanfiction, at which point most of the authors google “<fanfic subject> fan art” and use something from there without considering the repercussions. This causes Wattpad to be one of the top results when reverse image searching to find the source of some fan art, aside from another site I’ll mention later on...
Reddit
There’s a subreddit I often browse called r/ChurchOfJirou, a community for sharing anything relating to the character Kyouka from My Hero Academia (I mean come on, she’s like the cutest thing ever). A lot of the posts on that sub are sharing fan art of the aforementioned character. One of the rules in the sidebar is “always include the source in the title or the comments”. And most of the submissions make good on that rule. However, a lot of the posts are from Japanese artists on Twitter or Pixiv, and following the source link leads you to find the artist’s bio, which usually has something along the lines of “don’t repost my work”. And what’s more, the biggest offenders (of submitting art to the sub without OP’s permission) were the moderators of the subreddit. You know, the ones who are supposed to be enforcing the rules? I even got so fed up that I called it out, to which one of the mods replied,
“It doesn’t really make a difference, does it?”
Luckily, not all subreddits are like this. For example, other MHA-related subs like r/BokuNoShipAcademia or r/ChurchOfMinaAshido have moderators that are more considerate of artists’ wishes. Overall, Reddit is usually a hit-or-miss when it comes to this kind of thing. At best, you’ve got subs like the two I just mentioned which make sure to respect artists, and at worst you’ve got people trying (and failing) to edit out watermarks. Also, not to self-promote, but this tweet of mine represents this situation pretty well:
Tumblr media
Imgur
Imgur isn’t that bad compared to the rest of these, but it’s a common one that people link to when asked for the source of whatever they’ve shared on Twitter or Reddit or whatever.
Amino Apps
Amino Apps is a strange case. I don’t know much about it since I’ve never used it, but from what I do know it seems similar to Reddit in that there are numerous communities for different niches. That said, judging from the way it clogs up Google image search results, I doubt OC art is posted there often.
YouTube
Now, you may be thinking, “How does a video site rip off others’ art?”. The answer is uploads of soundtracks. Look for any OST from a video game or anime on YouTube and the picture used for the video will likely be some fan art by a Japanese Pixiv artist, usually one that forbids reposts of their work. Not only that, but if the uploader did bother to add the source in the description, it’s usually not even a link to the actual source, more likely a link to Zerochan or Pinterest or something. Now take into account that some of these videos get millions of views. Imagine working hard on something, and some numbnuts takes it, slaps some music onto it, uploads it to YouTube, and gets millions of views while you get next to nothing in comparison.
Exhibit A
Exhibit B (re-upload; original had nearly 40 million views before it was copyright claimed)
Exhibit C
and many many others
Pinterest
Alright, this is the big one. When Pinterest isn’t giving recipes or wardrobe ideas to suburban white moms, it’s clogging up Google reverse image search, punishing anyone who just wanted to find the source of some cute fan art. I feel like this meme by ZebitasMartinexSi on Facebook sums it up:
Tumblr media
For example, this piece of Legend of Zelda art by Twitter artist @_nomeri_ (I’ll just link to it, since it would be hypocritical of me to embed the image even though @_nomeri_’s bio warns people not to repost their art). Good art, right? Well, if you right-click and hit “Search Google for image”...
Tumblr media
...yeah. Pinterest is a plague. It thrives on theft. Even worse is when someone will post fan art on Twitter/Tumblr/Reddit/etc. and have the nerve to say “IDK the source I found it on Pinterest ^_^”. Or worse yet, they link to Pinterest saying it’s the source.
Instagram
While many other sites rag on Instagram for its reposting of memes, it’s no better when it comes to reposting fan art, especially from Pixiv. I’ve seen lots of stolen pieces with fan fictions written in the description. Personally, if I were an artist, I’d rethink my career choice if I saw my art reposted on Instagram with a half-assed fanfic under it, so I don’t blame Japanese artists who close their Pixiv accounts after seeing that. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try to prevent it from happening in the first place.
DeviantArt
DeviantArt is more “renowned” across the web for its niche circles of bizarre fetish art, but in its defence, there are some legitimately good pieces on there. If you do find a good one though, try checking to see if all of the uploader’s pieces have a similar overall art style, because if not, that’s a sure sign of someone passing off some Pixiv user’s art as their own, which is unfortunately fairly common on DeviantArt.
9Gag
Not a whole lot to say about 9Gag. I mean, it does contribute to reposting of art, but nothing really separates it from the others on this list, aside from its watermarks. At least the watermark gives away the fact that something was reposted.
Know Your Meme
You know that Zelda pic by @_nomeri_ I was talking about earlier? Well, to add insult to injury, it became an object-labelling meme.
Tumblr media
Imagine putting hours into something and politely asking others not to repost it, only to find that some nincompoops on r/DankMemes made it into an object-labelling meme.
But this isn’t KYM’s fault, per se. Know Your Meme only documents memes; they do not create them. However, as someone who regularly browses the Know Your Meme image galleries, I can say that the image gallery has essentially become Know Your Fan Art (unlawfully reposted fan art, that is).
Redbubble
There’s an NSFW artist I follow on Twitter by the name of Nico-Mo. A while ago, his Pixiv account was suspended, and there were numerous pictures on there that he had not uploaded to his Twitter or DeviantArt, so I found a mirror of one of those pieces on Gelbooru and reverse-image searched in hopes of finding it on his Twitter. No such luck. What came up instead was a .png of the piece made into a sticker being sold on Redbubble. In fact, that’s one of the major reasons why artists disapprove of their art being reposted, as it may find its way onto a sticker or a T-shirt being sold as merch without the original artist giving consent nor the artist receiving so much as a single nickel.
Facebook
Surprisingly, I think Facebook is one of the least offending sites on this list. Still worth mentioning, though.
Funnyjunk
Like Imgur, Funnyjunk isn’t that bad compared to some of the rest of these, but this exchange in the comments of a repost of an MHA artist that deleted their account (not hard to see why considering people straight-up ignored the big-ass watermark at the bottom) is proof enough of western social media’s flippant attitude towards ruining online artists’ careers.
Aggregator imageboards such as Yande.re, Konachan, Danbooru, Gelbooru, Rule34, SankakuComplex, Zerochan, etc.
I don’t think I need to explain these. But like Imgur, these are what most people link to when asked for source instead of bothering to find the original post.
Tumblr media
We Heart It
I don’t know much about “We Heart It”, but it seems to be a “Pinterest Lite” considering it clogs up image search almost as much as Pinterest does.
iFunny
Basically the same as 9Gag, in the sense that its watermarks are a dead giveaway.
Tumblr media
4chan
I’m not sure if 4chan really “counts” among these, as it’s a chat board where nearly everything is impermanent anyway. However, I was once on an NSFW subreddit where one submitter used a 4chan thread to get Patreon-exclusive material from an artist to upload to the sub (even though one of the rules of the sub was “no paywall content”), so that alone earns 4chan its spot on this list.
Tumblr
Yes, not even Tumblr is innocent. Although I’m sure you knew that. Similar to what I said about Twitter, look up any blog named after a fictional character and it’ll likely be chock-full of unsourced fan art.
“Why is this even important?”
Because if an artist sees that their work is being reposted, depending on the artist, they may delete the original post when they wouldn’t have to if people had just respected their wishes. Now, if an artist wants their works gone from the internet for other personal reasons, that’s up to them and we should respect them for it. But artists taking down their works due to mass reposting is 100% preventable, which is why it’s sad. If you don’t respect an artist, they won’t create art. Simple as that.
“Why do you care so much?”
Eh, I’m just weird like that. It just ticks me off when anything online, whether it be art, or a video, or whatever, is lost. In my opinion, nothing hurts more than clicking a Pixiv link on an imageboard and being greeted with “The work was deleted or the ID does not exist.”.

“But lots of western artists forbid reposting of their art too!”
Indeed, that is correct. But while many artists of every nationality and culture frown upon reproduction of their work, it seems only western social media is responsible for reposting art in the first place. I mean, why else do you think Japanese artists are saying “Reprint is prohibited” in English when the rest of their bio is in Japanese? Because English-speakers are the ones reposting.

“But exposure can help an artist!”
Yeah, that’s true...
...but “exposure” doesn’t mean much if those “exposed” to one’s work don’t know or care who it came from.
