the maharagan festival was always a grand event in sindria—music, dancing, feasts stretching as far as the eye could see. you had expected sinbad to indulge, of course. he was the king of sindria, the very heart of the celebration. what you hadn’t expected was to find him draped over a table, an empty wine glass dangling from his fingers, cheeks flushed a deep crimson.
“hey, you,” he slurred, blinking slowly as he lifted his head. a lazy grin tugged at his lips, eyes hazy but focused entirely on you. “you’re so pretty.”
you blinked. “sinbad, how much have you had to drink?”
he hummed, swaying slightly as he sat up. “doesn’t matter,” he murmured. “what matters is that you—you are the most beautiful person i’ve ever seen. like, ridiculously beautiful. unfairly beautiful.” he waved his hands dramatically before letting them flop back onto the table. “how do you do that? seriously? i see you every day and every time i think, ‘wow, this person is just… stunning.’”
heat crept up your neck. “sinbad—”
“no, no, let me finish,” he interrupted, pointing at you, though his finger wobbled in the air. “you’re kind, and smart, and—ugh, it’s so frustrating. you make my heart do weird things. it’s annoying, but also, i kind of like it? actually, i like you. a lot.” he paused, furrowing his brows. “wait, that was supposed to be a secret.”
you sighed, resisting the urge to laugh. “sinbad, you’re ridiculously drunk.”
he grinned, leaning forward until his forehead nearly bumped against yours. “drunk in love, maybe.”
you rolled your eyes, but the warmth in your chest was impossible to ignore. “come on, let’s get you somewhere to sleep this off.”
“only if you stay,” he mumbled, eyes fluttering shut as he slumped against you.
you sighed, but as you brushed a few strands of hair from his face, you couldn’t help but smile. you knew he wouldn’t remember this tomorrow, but for now, you might as well make the most of it.

Billy: Excuse me, sir! Do you know where the great ship-eating whirlwind of the north is!?
Random Sailor: What!?
Billy: Do you know how to get to the northern ship-eater!? I got lost in the storm!"
Random Sailor: What!?
Billy: Never mind! Thanks anyway!
Amidst a fierce storm, their silence makes sense. However, falling through a transdimensional rift linked to a third act? That's beyond comprehension.
After that, he met a guy named Sinbad with a great ship. This ancient world, with its bizarre tales of kings of the seven seas and magical weapons, feels surreal. Magical dungeons with hidden treasures?
The strangest part: everyone believes he's a Magi! A mage of creation who has immense power capable of creating dungeons or destroying countries… Okay, Billy could do that, he can do that, he doesn't plan to do it, but it’s curious that they know what he is capable of without him telling them. It takes a bit of the burden off his shoulders.
Yet, it seems Sinbad wants Billy to stay as Sindria's Magi permanently.
While looking for a way home, he can't help but admire him. He treats Billy as an equal, even without knowing about his big magical transformation.
However, Billy suspects the king is not too keen on helping him return.
Their quest to stop the marine disaster responsible for the typhoon hasn't been very successful.
Sinbad: Billy, any luck!?
Billy: No! The storm is very strong, and people are running for shelter!
Sinbad: We'll try again tomorrow! Let's return to the ship!
The storm that was battering the region only disappears when Billy manages to interact with the glowing butterflies called Rukh and stops the whirlwind causing the problem.
Obviously, they return to Sindria to celebrate. Sinbad's friends and the townspeople celebrate him in a way he knows won't happen at home. He decides to enjoy it.
The days turn into months, and they refine into years. The League takes ten years when they can finally come to rescue him.
Billy: Friends!
Superman: Captain!
Wonder Woman: Brother! Thank Athena you're in one piece. It took us a few weeks to find your location. We feared that something…
Flash: Buddy, you look younger, or is it my imagination?
Billy: Well… it's been a bit more than a week for me…
Superman: You can tell us at home. The portal won't last long.
The now twenty-year-old man looks back. It is not his childhood that frames his gaze; he left that place long ago. But he has waited for this moment for so long that... he already had some short-term plans in mind... He has lived ten years as Billy Batson and ten years as Billy the Fifth Magi.
Flash: Cap… how long has it been? Flash seems to understand Billy's dilemma a little.
"Ten years."
That makes everyone hug him. Billy cries with happiness.
Billy: I’ve helped this world a lot. I’ve met many countries… I’ve been the Magi of several of them. I feel like I’ve learned a lot. But despite having enjoyed it here so much… I don't forget my role as the champion of magic at home… let's go back.
The people of our dimension also have the right to their own Magi to protect them. I have many stories to tell you. There was a really cool guy named Sinbad, a boy named Alibaba who reminds me of myself, a little Magi named Aladdin, and this pink-haired girl like Jinx who was as strong as you, Diana.
But I'm happy they arrived now. If they had arrived seven years ago, they would have had to face Sinbad, the king of the seven seas.

Jealousy Headcanon: Sinbad and Wife s/o
Sinbad is usually confident—after all, he’s the King of Sindria, a Dungeon Conqueror, and one of the most charming men in the world. He doesn’t often feel threatened… until someone gets a little too close to his wife.
At first, he plays it off coolly. He smirks, watching as a noble, a foreign prince, or even one of his own generals tries to impress his wife. She’s his, after all. No one can take her away.
But if the guy gets too bold? Maybe touches her arm, leans in too close, or makes a comment about her beauty? Sinbad's smile tightens. His aura shifts. Suddenly, the air feels heavier, like the calm before a storm.
He doesn't explode in anger, but he makes his presence very known. He’ll casually slide an arm around his wife’s waist, pulling her into his side with a possessive yet effortless motion.
“Ah, I see you’ve met my wife,” he emphasizes, his tone smooth but dangerous. His golden eyes narrow just enough to send a silent warning.
If the guy still doesn’t back off, Sinbad ups his game. He’ll pull his wife into his lap if they’re sitting, or maybe kiss her right in front of the poor fool, smirking against her lips as he watches the other man’s confidence crumble.
Later, when they’re alone, his jealousy turns into something else entirely. He doesn’t like feeling possessive, but he needs to remind his wife exactly who she belongs to. And he makes sure she never forgets it.
This is my first piece of fan fiction 💔💔 hope you guys enjoy it bc there NEEEDDDS to be more magi

Dorm Heads - Sinbad (MAGI) Male Reader
🐇.•°•.🐇.•°•.🐇.•°•.🐇.•°•.🐇.•°•.🐇.•°•.🐇.•°•.🐇.
Sinbad has seven Djinn Equips and there just so happen to be seven characters in this ask, so I sorted each one to whomever fits it the best. The Reader is still from another world, but this time they're from MAGI as the king of Sindria. I hope this is adequate to what you wanted. —Benny🐰

🌹 Please have mercy, Riddle doesn't know how to handle flirting at all! Seriously, stop that! Don't corner him against the wall and lean over him like that! Don't hold his chin between your fingers and lift his head that way! Don't whisper in his ear all sensual-like! Are you trying to kill him!? Really; Riddle might just explode if you continue like this, going by the steam that keeps billowing from his ears. He's never been the object of affection of such a handsome man before; it's flattering and overwhelming at the same time.
🌹 You're a king? You!? But you're so irresponsible; with the way you quite literally run from him every time he tries to make you do your homework. Riddle honestly thought you were lying at first but after seeing how diplomatic you were during the unbirthday party, he actually started to believe it. He later witnesses that when you do your work, you stay holed up in your room until it's completed to perfection. Oftentimes, Riddle will go to you for advice on how to be a better leader for the students of Heartslabyul.
🌹 A gift, for him? Riddle is a little flustered, he's not too used to people getting him things out of the kindness of their heart; it's usually fear that marks the occasion. But what did you get him? Show him, he hates surprises— WHAT THE HELL!? Where in the world did you get this!? How much did this cost you!? What do you mean 'it was only half a billion'!? Congratulations, Riddle is now malfunctioning; he's stuck between being flattered that you'd spend that much money on him and being furious that you didn't use it for something more important.
🌹 Excessive jewelry and other accessories are strictly forbidden; such things could become a distraction to yourself and other students! Wait! Those are weapons!? That's even worse! Riddle is losing his mind with you, right now! You can't bring weapons into a school environment, such things are against the law! He'll have to confiscate them. Unfortunately, Riddle's unique magic doesn't seem to work on you for some reason; so his efforts are always in vain.
🌹 Riddle has his first encounter with your Furfur Djinn Equip when you sapped the light out of his bedroom using its magic. From then onwards you used it to annoy him (read as try to make him relax a bit) whenever he's busy for more than four hours. He would say he hates it, but he can't deny that your demonic-looking appearance is very appealing to the eyes; not that he'd tell you. Riddle secretly wants to touch your horns but he's far too prideful to tell you; too bad you've already noticed his fleeting glances.
🃏•♡•🃏•♡•🃏•♡•🃏•♡•🃏•♡•🃏•♡•🃏•♡•🃏
"O‐oh, for me? Thats very kind of you, My Rose. W-wait, how much did you say this was? Half a billion! Why would you spend such a ridiculous amount of money!? My face isn't red— No— Listen to what I'm saying!"
🐾•♡•🐾•♡•🐾•♡•🐾•♡•🐾•♡•🐾•♡•🐾•♡•🐾
🦁 Oho? You're a flirt I see, Leona can certainly get behind that. It does help that you're one handsome man as well. Do you wanna lay the charms on him? Go right ahead and do your worst if you're brave enough to face this beast of a man. Just be prepared for when Leona decides to flirt back; too bad for you he's not exactly the chivalrous type. This lazy lion prince is ready to give you the most risqué tongue lashing of your life; figuratively and literally if you're down for it.
🦁 Leona could tell that you were royalty of some type just by the way you dressed, but you also had a certain about you that only natural-born leaders have. He completely understands your aversion to work, he feels it too, work sucks man. You once offered Leona to be your queen, since you were already the king, and to rule Sindria by your side; he may or may not be seriously considering it...
🦁 Being the second prince of the Sunset Savana, Leona is certainly no stranger to expensive gifts, so getting him anything expensive doesn't really surprise you too much. You're rich, he's rich, the gift only cost you half a billion— Wait... half a billion? Leona will absolutely give you a look of complete and utter confusion as to why you think half a billion is such a small sum of money. He can see Ruggie in the background salivating...
🦁 So you're telling him that the jewelry you're wearing can be used as a weapon? Sure.... you'll have to sit Leona down and explain to him about Djinn, metal vessels, dungeons and, dungeon capturing. Well... that is if you can convince him to stay awake long enough to let you explain it. Leona has a bunch of z's to catch, so if you don't mind he'll be taking his long overdue nap now.
🦁 Leona has a love-hate relationship with your Valefor Djinn Equip. On the one hand, he appreciates the beastman-like features that appear when it's equipped as well as the clothing style, but do you have to be so damn cold!? Don't get him wrong, Leona loves cuddling with his boyfriend but your skill has a natural chill to it in that form. It's gotten to the point where he'll refuse to touch you until you go back to normal.
🐾•♡•🐾•♡•🐾•♡•🐾•♡•🐾•♡•🐾•♡•🐾•♡•🐾
"AAGH! D‐dammit you're cold, let go of m‐me. How am I s'posed to fall asleep if 'm freezing my ass off? Go back to normal 'n I'll hold you as long 'n as tight as you want, kay?"
🐚•♡•🐚•♡•🐚•♡•🐚•♡•🐚•♡•🐚•♡•🐚•♡•🐚
🐙 You're flattery will get you absolutely nowhere! At least, that's what Azul wishes was the truth. Ugh! You're so damn suave and so damn fine that it's killing him! How is he supposed to talk you into signing a contract when you're leaning over his desk and looking at him like you'd eat him if Jade and Floyd weren't in the room!? Poor Azul is ready to pull out his hair with how many revisions you've sweet-talked him into making to the contract. He's got a business to run dammit!
🐙 Oho? A king you say? Perhaps if you would take him there, he could give your people an offer they couldn't refuse. Unfortunately for Azul, any plots he had for trapping you or your people in a deal were swiftly shut down by you holding a sword to his throat. He was equal parts terrified, disappointed, understanding and, really turned on. Azul still wants to go to Sindria though; maybe even as one of your vassals representing Twisted Wonderland's Coral Sea if you'd let him.
🐙 You got him a gift? You're not trying to bribe him or anything are you? Azul is definitely no stranger to attempted bribery considering it happens about once or twice per day. But eventually, after a bit of insisting on your part he'll accept it... and then promptly return it because there is no way you would give him something that looks so expensive for anything other than bribery. If you try an calm his nerves by telling Azul that it only cost you half a billion and it really wasn't that expensive; his blood pressure will skyrocket. Dear lord, save this man...
🐙 My, that's quite a bit of jewelry you have there, you wouldn't mind parting with a few items, would you? Now, now, Azul's only asking for a friend, no need to get up in arms about it. The cecaelia mer, being quite observant, did notice that your jewelry and a few weapons are where you get your otherworldly powers from. While Azul would love to have access to that power, since old habits die hard, he still restrains himself because he doesn't want you to distrust or dislike him.
🐙 Azul is very cautious about your Baal Djinn Equip; lightning and water are not too good a combination in this case. However, he admits must you look very dashing and handsome in the clothes and jewelry you wear; he can't help but take a few glances at your bare chest, your draconic features are also very eye-catching to him and he can't help but briefly think of a certain dragon fae. While Azul usually just observes you from a respectable distance; he's not entirely opposed to being in your arms.
🐚•♡•🐚•♡•🐚•♡•🐚•♡•🐚•♡•🐚•♡•🐚•♡•🐚
"H‐handsome? Me? I— if this is some kind of joke it's not funny! Y‐you're flattery will get you no nowhere. N‐now if you would just sign here... Hm? Revision? A D‐DATE! Hold on—!"
🕌•♡•🕌•♡•🕌•♡•🕌•♡•🕌•♡•🕌•♡•🕌•♡•🕌
🪲 Aww, you're so nice! Kalim doesn't quite understand why you're so fixated on complimenting him, but he really likes it! He definitely returns the favor tenfold; not just to repay you, but also because he thinks you're a very handsome man. Another thing he doesn't get is why Jamil keeps shooting you sharp looks when you give him some of the weirder compliments. But Kalim doesn't mind too much, even when you back him against a wall, he just takes it as an invitation to cling to you.
🪲 Wow! You're royalty too!? And a king no less! Kalim thinks that's so awesome! You should definitely expect a ton of questions about what it's like to rule an entire country. What kind of responsibilities do you have as king? Do you have to make any hard decisions that could impact your people? What kind of holidays do you have there? Can he go there one day? And so on, and so on. Wait! Where are you going? Kalim still has more questions to ask you; you can't leave yet!
🪲 Wow! Did you get him a gift? You're so nice, it looks so cool too! Kalim is absolutely ecstatic to receive anything from you, be it a conversation, a compliment, physical affection, a gift or even a simple hello! Huh? Half a billion Madol? Okay! Kalim will find you something just as expensive and go out of his way to get a job, save up a bunch of money, and buy it for you! He can't let the gift you gave him go unreciprocated!
🪲 You have genies in your jewelry!? That's so cool! Please call them out so that he can meet them all, Kalim has so many questions! Tell him about all of your dungeon-capturing adventures, he'll be entertained for hours on end. Jamil is crying tears of joy. He will also somehow convince your djinn to come out and share the many adventures that they had with you and their previous holders. Expect to have to tell him at least five of your adventures a day, Kalim doesn't care if you run out of them, you're such a good storyteller.
🪲 Poor Kalim was truly in shock when he saw your Zepar Djinn Equip for the very first time. You got so tiny after that huge light show; he was surprised. For him, this Djinn Equip is his favorite because you're basically a really cute living megaphone. Kalim thinks your round belly is really cute; when you're under a blanket you look like you're holding a pumpkin. He's glad to have a mini boyfriend he can carry around like a teddy bear, it's super fun.
🕌•♡•🕌•♡•🕌•♡•🕌•♡•🕌•♡•🕌•♡•🕌•♡•🕌
"WAH! You got small! You're so adorable now! Oh; and your ears are so long too! Can you hear better like that? Hey, what can you in this form? Is it like the other one's you've shown me so far?"
👑•♡•👑•♡•👑•♡•👑•♡•👑•♡•👑•♡•👑•♡•👑
🪞 Flattery will get you everywhere; especially with Vil! However, this pretty boy has definitely heard it all; or at least he thought he had before he met you. No one had ever been quite so bold with him before. You laid your intentions out on the table right off the bat, and frankly, he found that really hot. I mean, who wouldn't want to be swept off their feet by a handsome king such as yourself? You want to make Vil your queen, you say? Oh my, buy him dinner first, you sly devil.~
🪞 A king, you say? Well, Vil did notice that you had a regal air about you, even if it was a bit overshadowed by that boyish charm of yours. But now you've got him thinking about you're proposition to make him your queen. Were you really serious about that? If you are, Vil has a long list of suggestions that he believes would improve your future shared kingdom. So what if he's never been there before, he's got to make some changes now before he walks into what might be a hot mess.
🪞 Now Vil and his family are quite wealthy, nowhere near royalty, but they still have a hefty sum to their name. This means he is no stranger when it comes to expensive clothing, accessories, skincare, and food. He has absolutely no issues with you spending a ridiculous amount of money on a gift for him. Vil just gives you an ecstatic "Oh! You shouldn't have!"
🪞 What a lovely medley of jewelry you've got there, but um... don't you think it's just a tad bit excessive? Not that you don't look absolutely dashing just the way you are, but maybe take off one or two? Vil only wants the best for you and that means fashion-wise as well. They're your weapons as well? Well, weapon or not, Vil will not allow you to walk around with a clashing color scheme! Rose gold is out of season, you know.
🪞 You know how Vil hates Neige because he feels insecure about his appearance when he's around? Yeah... that's how he feels about your Vepar Djinn Equip. He's never seen such ethereal beauty before and it's eating him up inside! He's torn between admiring his handsome boyfriend and cursing you for being more visually appealing than he is. Vil eventually accepts it though, you are his after all, and as long as he has you he can let it slide, just this once.
👑•♡•👑•♡•👑•♡•👑•♡•👑•♡•👑•♡•👑•♡•👑
"I didn't call you old, listen closer to what I'm saying to you! I said you had a mature look about you; It's a compliment. Not many men can pull it off like you can, so you should be grateful."

🔱•♡•🔱•♡•🔱•♡•🔱•♡•🔱•♡•🔱•♡•🔱•♡•🔱
💀 Stop. Seriously, stop. You will actually kill this man if you start flirting with him in any aspect at all. Even a compliment is a death sentence for Idia. But if you really do desire to send him straight to an early grave, do as you wish. This poor man can barely even function around someone as handsome and imposing as you are. Idia can barely breathe around you, his palms are sweaty, his knees weak, not to mention all the blood loss from his ever-flowing nose due to your sparsely clothed chest.
💀 As if Idia needed any more of a reason to feel like he doesn't deserve to even be near you; he finds out you're a King. Why is this happening to him!? No, he can't go with you back to Sindria! Even if Idia really wants to because it sounds a lot like the kingdom from "WIZ - Maze of Sorcery" and its two sequels; "WIZ - Queendom of Sorcery" and "WIZ - Outings of Bob".
💀 You didn't have to buy him anything, you're going to make him feel bad! Idia doesn't need you to spend money on him, not that he doesn't appreciate it, because he really does. A new box set of a ton of animes that were just released on DVD? Well... you were the one who offered so Idia reluctantly says it's fine. W‐wait... d‐did you say... half a b‐billion... Oh! It looks like he fainted!
💀 Do you think— Would you mind if Idia used some of your magic jewelry for a few of his cosplays? He'll take good care of them, he promises! Actually, if you don’t want to lend him anything, could you... cosplay with him? Idia completely understands if you don't want to, I mean who wants to spend time with him anyway? But... the offer is still up if you ever consider it...
💀 After seeing your Crocell Djinn Equip, Idia finally understood why you weren't at all cautious about his hair. He accidentally went on a tangent about how you reminded him of a character from a manga he read once and how you were like his 'irl SSR Secret Quest Reward, Boyfriend', whatever that meant. Sometimes, Idia will ask you to go into your Djinn Equip so that you can play with his hair like that one scene in that Shoujo anime you both watched together.
🔱•♡•🔱•♡•🔱•♡•🔱•♡•🔱•♡•🔱•♡•🔱•♡•🔱
"That's way cool! A mystery boss stage with percentage boost in SSR gear and a companion character too! It's just like 'Last Delusion'! EH!? You've never heard of it!? Come on, I'll show you!"
🐉•♡•🐉•♡•🐉•♡•🐉•♡•🐉•♡•🐉•♡•🐉•♡•🐉
🐲 You're not scared of him? At all? You do know who he is right? Malleus Draconia: strongest mage in the NRC, prefect of the infamous Diasomnia dorm, heir to the throne of the Valley of Thorns? You do? Instead of finding him fear-inducing, you called him... gorgeous? Handsome? A sight for sore eyes? Consider Malleus a very flustered and confused dragon fae. He's used to getting compliments from Lilia and his vassals but from you? He feels like he's melting but in a good way. Well... he thinks so, at least.
🐲 A fellow royal? Oh, you're a king too? I hope you don't mind Malleus asking about the details of how you rule over Sidria because he has a lot of questions. He is also set to be the king of the Valley of Thorns in the future, so he wants to gain as much knowledge concerning ruling a country as possible. Malleus's ears are open; tell him anything and everything. How was Sindria established? How do you handle the punishment of your people who break the laws you set in place? Etcetera...
🐲 Malleus is quite wealthy due to his status as the prince of the Valley of Thorns, so he isn't exactly bothered by the thought of receiving expensive gifts. The price of said gift also doesn't seem to phase him. In fact, just like you, he sees such a sum of money as mere pocket change. Malleus is a dragon as well as exceptionally old, he and his grandmother have amassed quite a mountain of wealth in the many years that they have been alive. Nonetheless, he is very grateful for the gift.
🐲 That's quite the lovely set of jewels you have adorning your body there. Please spare this poor dragon boy, he's struggling to hold back his hoarding instincts. His brain is sounding the alarm bells and all he can think is "big shiny, big shiny, big shiny, bi–". Don't be too alarmed if a wild Malleus in his dragon form or otherwise swoops down and whisks you away. Though you may have to worry about leaving his hoard; it will be very difficult, I can assure you. You may just find yourself back where you started; trapped in Malleus's arms.
🐲 Malleus has seen each and every one of your Djinn Equips and if he had to pick a favorite, it would be your Focalor Djinn Equip, followed closely by your Baal Djinn Equip due to draconic appearance. The reason he favors Focalor's is that he can, instead of taking a moonlit stroll, fly through the night in the arms of his boyfriend without needing to go into his dragon form. Malleus had never been swept off his feet, but now he has, literally.

Tales about the mother of chaos

Landa is the (second) Magi of the Kou Empire, brought from Reim many years ago when she was nothing more than an innocent and naive child to what would become Al Thamen. The woman served primarily as a priestess and even worked in one of the organization's temples located in Parthevia 10 years ago when Al Thamen established itself in the country. That is, until the temple was destroyed by Sinbad, leading her and the rest of the organization to return to Kou. There, she had to live once again with the First Magi.
Landa had seen him before these events, but she didn't actually try to engage in a dialogue with Judal. However, the Magi tried to push her to the limit or provoke her capabilities as the "second Magi" something that yielded no results. After some time, Judal simply accepted her and began to live with her naturally. Judal has a sense of exclusivity, so for much of his youth, he felt compelled towards a one-sided competitiveness, which left him frustrated.
they are like:

Landa didn't mind doing the most important or the largest number of tasks, but she felt virtuously arrogant when she had some greater merit, something that infuriated Judal. Occasionally, she would find him to have tea in some secluded corner of the palace, where Judal would mainly complain but eventually talk about things that amused him throughout the day, generally involving carnage and misfortune, or comment on a conversation he had with the newly titled king of Sindria, Sinbad. Landa visited Sinbad in the company of Judal a few times, attentively paying attention to the Djinn user.
Landa is tremendously arrogant and has a grandiose ego, akin to the weight of the heavens on a mortal's shoulders. However, she does not express this directly, mainly adopting a passive-aggressive approach. This is only when she feels frustrated or unjustly treated; in general, she is a composed woman. Her egocentric behavior is mainly due to the time she spent with Gyokuen in Kou (a not exactly pleasant time).
Landa and Judal have a dynamic inspired mainly by the Kindred (yes, those from League of Legends), but I also think of them as yin and yang (and not just because of the colors). I write them as "opposite sides of the same coin" or "good and evil," "black and white," or even Padmé and Anakin, considering the inspiration for the character. The metaphor behind them is the complementary relationship, as it is something symbolic and beautiful, regardless of the interpretation the audience may have.
But if they have a relationship, would was like a:

Sinbad x OC
~POV Mori~ The next morning the Great Bell rang, and I refused to get up until the morning meetings were over. I dragged myself to the Black Libra Tower for a sense of normalcy. There were only 3 days left until Sinbad leaves for the Kou Empire, and there was no way in hell I was going to be done processing everything in time to see him off. The empty shelf where the Fate scrolls once sat was a glaring reminder that that conversation had really happened. My desk chair served more as a different location to zone out than support for any writing.
At least I managed to go to the morning meetings the following day. I was even able say a little about what his experience in the Kou Empire would be like. I didn't explain the details about what would happen with Kougyoku though -only that a servant would try to hide something that belonged to a Princess in Sinbad's room on the last night. Even saying all of it, I couldn't bring myself to look at Sinbad. The best I could do was look at the spaces and people around him. His waves were overwhelming. The shift I had felt a month ago made sense now, and my stomach kept doing flips when I thought about how long I missed what was right in front of me. I knew avoiding him wasn't right, but I didn't know how to act around him. I was only marginally better around Ja'far. There were multiple abuse cycles I had been conditioned to expect since I was child, and in one conversation they had broken the worst two. I was glad they were considerate enough to not push me into breaking my silence. I knew that the moment I would actually have to speak to them directly, especially Sinbad, that it would change something in me. I kept finding my arms wrapped around myself or my hands holding each other all for a semblance of the comfort and skinship I was craving from Sinbad. I couldn't tell if I was actually safe or if it was my fawn response rearing it's head in the absence or expectation of an outburst. 'But what if it is okay? What if it is actually going to be okay?' On the 3rd day, the last before he left, Yam had had enough of watching me mope about the tower. "Mori, I know what his Majesty told you must be serious, but you are coming to the banquet tonight, aren't you?" Since Sinbad was leaving for 4 months, he was holding a banquet for all of the palace staff. It was a decent enough way to keep everyone's spirits up when the King was going to be absent so long. "I don't know." "At least see him off tomorrow morning." "I'll think about it."
--- ~POV Sinbad~ This is exactly what he was afraid would happen when he confronted his Beautiful Prophet. Sure, he now knew for certain that he would have been the one to cause whatever the 2nd Calamity is, but now she could barely look at him without her expression flashing fearful. And the worst part? The worst part was that when the conversation had ended, Sinbad was convinced he had dodged this. Mori had squeezed his hands back and smiled in relief; she had finally let him walk her back to her room in the guest tower. But here he was, the last night before he left his country, and she was nowhere to be seen after refusing to talk to him for days. Even surrounded by friends, the King couldn't shake the waves of loneliness. Beer had helped until it encouraged him to keep looking at the doors to the dining hall -as if his gaze could manifest Mori entering. Every time the doors remained closed or the person entering wasn't the one he wanted it only made him more depressed. It had been a while since the last person entered. Sinbad refused to look anymore to avoid farther disappointment. Finishing his drink was the best distraction he had. The large hand of a giant patted Sin's shoulder just as he raised the cup to chug it. "You only have yourself to blame, you know? You shouldn't have given her bad news so close to your departure. You'll get used to how to manage having a partner in time." Hinahoho's encouragement felt heavier with the knowledge of all the times he had to part from Rurumu. All of the Generals were made aware that Sinbad revealed to Mori that he had figured out information on the 2nd Calamity, but not what that information was. They were also all told that Mori was now consumed by trying to figure out what risks this posed. So of course, all of the Generals -except Ja'far- were under the impression that Sin should have waited to talk to her. The part of him that wanted to steal a good'bye kiss couldn't help but agree. But the more he had gotten to know his Beautiful Prophet, the more he understood that she would need these four months to process the change. It was the only way she could be ready to accept him and his feelings by the time he returned to Sindria. Sinbad would not let himself regret the decision. And so the sun set and the moon rose out the windows of the banquet hall with zero sign of Mori making an appearance. Even the waves encouraged him to leave in order to see them instead of telegraphing their arrival. Sinbad had suffered enough for the evening, too depressed to even enjoy the remaining spirits in his cup. He announced his early departure and ignored multiple disappointed voices as he left. The waves picked up as he exited the party. Sinbad had expected them to direct him towards the exit of the Tower, but instead they lead to the nearest sitting room. That was the only reason he was willing to indulge his curiosity. If only he had followed the waves hours earlier. "So you were this close that whole time, huh?" Mori was curled up on a plush chair, asleep, hidden from the doorway by a large potted plant. She must have paced around this room for hours as she fought with herself about going in. If she had came this far then clearly she had wanted to see him one more time before his departure -especially since she was wearing purple again outside of her room.
Mori stirred lightly as she was lifted off of her impromptu bed. She easily slipped back into unconsciousness as Sinbad walked her down the hall. Whether to move her, nor where to take her were questions Sin ever considered. His Beautiful Prophet's sleeping face was a treasure he didn't like sharing. He only allowed doctors and servants to glimpse it when necessary. The guards he passed and the servants that lit the lanterns and held open doors for him could never understand the privilege he was allowing them.
The King laid her onto her new bed as gently as he could but she still moaned at the change. She made another sound when he removed her shoes and her brow scrunched when he removed her glasses, but she didn't make any big movements until he covered her with the sheet. As soon as he started standing back upright a pair of arms wrapped around him. Sinbad only just registered her warmth when her started trying to tug him back over her. There was barely any strength behind it but it was far more than he could ever fight against. "Oh?" One arm reached past her to brace himself on the bed and the other wrapped around her back as he let her pull him down. Mori was far too cuddly and cute when she was sleepy. No one else but Sinbad deserved to be on the receiving end. As if to prove his point, Mori nuzzled into the crook of his neck. Her deep breaths moved his hair. Sinbad couldn't help but smile. "What do you think you're doing?" Even though her voice was soft from sleep it was undeniably earnest. "I'm breathing you in so I can still smell you after you leave." She took another deep breath through her nose as she continued her mission.
Every muscle in Sinbad's body tensed at her directness. He could think of plenty of things he could do to leave her with something to remember him by and all were things he knew would be pushing past her current boundaries. Not to mention that if he did any of them he might not be able to convince himself to leave for the Kou Empire in the morning. His hand on the mattress gripped the sheets as a distraction. It wasn't enough to stop him from squeezing his Beautiful Prophet closer. "You're making it a lot harder to leave, you know."
"Good." The way she whined the word gave him goosebumps. When she also tightened her grip on him it was too much.
Sinbad leaned back and used the hand he had been bracing himself with to grab one of Mori's arms and pull it off of him. No matter how pent up he was, there was no way he would act on this desire if one of them might not remember it. He sighed. "Please don't make this any harder than it already is."
She took one last breath of him, "Okay," and loosened her grip so he could finally lay her back down. This time when he stood up her arms stayed limp by her sides. However, she was still watching him.
Sinbad placed a warm hand over Mori's eyes to force them closed. "Rest well." She made the smallest sound in response. After a few moments her breathing slowed and he felt confident in removing his hand.
She didn't get back up, or follow after him as he quietly made his way out of the Queen's Suite and into his own. There was always the chance Mori would wake up in the middle of the night and panic, so he left the door unlocked. The waves would guide her to him if she needed him.
((This scene was based on a lucid dream I had. I put a copy of that dream in The Adventures of Simpbad Collection Ch9 Lucid Dream 2024 April 30.)) --- ~POV Mori~ I woke up the most relaxed and rested I had in a while. Where I ended and the bedding began was lost on me. It was just so soft and comfortable. And quiet. I don't know how long it took me to acknowledge the quiet, but eventually I realized I hadn't heard the Great Bell. It was strange I hadn't woken up to it. Or maybe I had and forgot?
I finally opened my eyes to an unfamiliar canopy in an unfamiliar room. My clothes were mostly off too. The way they were scattered in the bed and on the floor told me I had struggled out of them in my sleep. It wouldn't have been the first time; I even kept a vague memory of struggling out of my belt and pants. 'Never liked how pants twist around my legs under covers.' Now that I was awake I needed to get dressed and figure out where I was.
My glasses were on a table next to the bed. There was a note next to them but I wanted to get a look at my surroundings first. I had thought the bed seemed bigger than one I had adjust to over the past 2 months, but seeing it clearly with my glasses made me realize it was much bigger. The walls I could now see were decorated with large drapery, and were very far away. You could probably fit more than 3 copies of my room in the guest tower in this one room and it looked like it had many more connected rooms past the arches I was seeing. My stomach clenched. This room was definitely in the Purple Leo Tower.
After getting my bearings a little, I finally looked at the note. "I miss you already." The waves rose and so did my heart rate. That definitely woke me up.
I started wandering. There were windows on the other side of a set of arches so I started there. The sight confirmed which Tower I was in. It also told me that it was much closer to noon than I expected. 'If it's that late why haven't I heard the Great Bell once?'
"Oh." If it was this late then Sinbad must have already left for the Kou Empire. He was set to leave only a bit after dawn. 'I didn't get to see him off.' I remembered the warmth of his arms from the previous night. 'I guess, I got to tell him I'll miss him at least...'
There was a door in the room that kept attracting my eyes. I wanted to freshen up before I tried it though. I was able to locate a sitting area with an open doorway but no door. I finally tried some the curtains and less ornate doors. Only then was I able to find a room for clothes, then a bathing room and toilet near it. The room with the tub had an additional door. I had a feeling I knew what was on the other side and it made my stomach clench. I didn't want confirmation that way.
I exited back into the bedroom and stood before the door that had called to me from the beginning. Even the waves rose as I stepped closer to it. I had a feeling I knew what was on the other side but I still gasped when I saw it: another bedroom. When 2 full adult bedrooms are connected like this it's normally because the people they belong to are married or are at least in that type of relationship. The door had locks on both sides too, so either party could say "not in the mood" or whatever.
All of my muscles tensed as I walked into this other bedroom. There was a part of me that really didn't want the confirmation but I knew deep down I needed to see it. After stepping onto the carpet in the middle of the main space I finally looked at bed and everything stopped. I knew this view really well but I had never seen it in color -let alone in person.
In all of Magi we only see Sinbad's bedroom in the final arc. By that point he had already moved out of Sindria after abdicating the throne to Drakon. The only reason his room would like this now was so I couldn't deny what was happening anymore.
((Um... The real reason was because I was lazy in designing when I drew Sin in bed before, and I really wanted an excuse to use his room to practice 3D modeling UwU I only realized kinda recently the convenient affect this would have on Mori))
This was the King's room which meant that the room I was sleeping in was for the Queen. Sinbad used flirting to gain allies and manipulate things in his favor, but he would never take it this far.
I walked up to the bed. The small seat at the foot of it looked softer in person. My arms started to burn. "You're supposed to say this type of thing in person, you know." But even if he had, I probably wouldn't have believed him if it was just words. That's exactly why seeing this proof with the my own eyes was affecting me so much.
My arms hurt. My heart hurt. My eyes hurt.
I liked Sinbad. Really liked him. I knew that.
My neck felt bare. ---
~POV Sinbad~ "Your Majesty, are you there?" A familiar voice came from the magic tool the King always carried on away missions. Normally, they wouldn't have had a check up call on the first day, but this was a special occasion. Mori was finally up and ready to talk to him. Sinbad made his way to his room below deck before pulling the Eye of the Rukh out of his clothes to answer it. Yam's face was in the center of the stone since she was the one establishing the connection. "Yes. I'm here." He kept his eyes tracked to the edges of the image. "Oh good! I'll pass it off then." The view in the stone shifted to Mori sitting in Yam's office in the Black Libra Tower. Her arms were crossed with the cutest scowl on her face. She had to be disappointed that he left without saying goodbye. The next thing that caught his eye was her outfit: she was wearing the choker she picked out in the Treasury. Sin had never figured out why she suddenly stopped wearing it, but the fact that she had dawned it again felt like a good sign. It was obvious when Mori register their eye contact from how her eyes lit up for a second and even more obvious that she wouldn't bring herself to speak first by how she forced that scowl back on. However, the longer they maintained eye contact the redder her face got. Sinbad finally put her out of her misery with a smile. "Did you sleep well?" All of her features twitched before she clenched her eyes shut. "So well, in fact, that I was out until 2pm. I didn't hear the Great Bell at all." "Oh! That because of the magic tool set up in the Queen's Suite!" Yam's voice explained from out of view. "It stops all sound from traveling in or out. There's a stone that powers it near the bed. You can turn it on or off by channeling some magoi into it." Mori's expression soften from confusion while she listened. "Why would- Nope! Never mind. I get it." She raised a hand to cover her rekindled embarrassment. The magician giggled. "I'll leave you two alone. Call if you need me!" She explained before scuttling out of the room. When it was clear they were alone Sinbad broke the silence. "You know, I was starting to worry that my Beautiful Prophet was still avoiding me with how late it was getting." Mori sighed and looked at him past their fingers. "I had heard you were having trouble sleeping the past few days so I'm relieved you were finally able to rest." They weren't as angry with him as he thought, nor as angry as they kept trying to look. Mori let the hand drop from their face. "Yes, well, I can't deny enjoying the extra sleep." They scanned him for answers but were unable to find any based how their expression sagged. "So... why did you want me to call you as soon as I woke up?" 'Cutting right to the chase, huh?' No matter how he worded this they were going to have a big reaction. "Mori, starting today, you are being moved into the Purple Leo Tower." "Huh???" "I would prefer you move into the chamber you slept in last night, but if you don't want it there's another that's been prepared for you." The target of his affections slammed a hand on either side of the Eye of the Rukh on the table. Their face filled the stone's projection on his end. "Like hell I am! That's the type of thing you're supposed to say in person! Sinbad!" "I wanted to, but you avoided me for 3 days." She flinched at the accusation. "I tried to wake you this morning, but you just stubbornly held my hand and rolled over. If Ja'far hadn't dragged me out I would have stayed with you until you woke up."
His Beautiful Prophet's face became a beautiful shade of pink once again. High pitched embarrassment followed her as she slipped out of view. A thud told him when she reached the floor.
'So cute for me.' Even though Sinbad couldn't see her, he could envision what she looked like perfectly. "I'll take this to mean you understand why I want you in my Queen's Suite." The smallest, "...yes...but..." traveled through the communicator. "Even if you choose not to take that chamber you have to move into the Purple Leo Tower." His tone turned serious to match the topic. "I have no intention of holding back my feelings any longer. Rumors of my most treasured person and the Prophet of Sindria will spread, and as they do the target on you will only grow larger." "... I understand." Her voice cracked in the middle. "Thank you." Sinbad let himself soften again. "Mori." "...Sinbad." "I miss you already." He had written it on the note, but he wanted to make sure he said at least this directly. "...I ...miss you too." "Even though it hasn't been a day?" "Yes." That came out more confidently than her previous words but still soft. "Mori, when I return to you will you listen to what I want to say?" There was a longer pause. "Yes."
((Heyo. Long time no post. A few not great things happened back to back and it took me a while to recover enough to write and draw again. I'm doing a lot better now and have a plan in place to keep it from happening again. I had wanted this out for Sinbad day, April 2, but I kept wanting to draw comics for it X3 The comics would have been longer, but I made my birthday, April 7, the extended deadline. I'm still really happy with how it turned out. It's a present to myself to get out a new chapter :D IDK if anyone noticed, but I tried something different with how I handled shading and fills. I think this will make certain aspects easier so I'm going to keep with it. I also tested out another way to show flashbacks. I like how the colors came out, but I'm not sure if I like the dashed border for the panels. What do you guys think about all of the changes?
Oh! There will be a longer before the next chapter. It's the start of the next arc and I want to have the whole arc based out more before I start posting it. It's currently a bunch of written scenes and notes. I want to try to keep it to 4 chapters (one for each month) or less but I have no idea if that's going to work out.))

[Magi reread] Night 77: Sindria Kingdom
:sigh: the thing a person does to avoid studying.
Jokes semi-aside, tho, I was genuinely kinda jumping fandoms recently, and naturally it included Magi. I genuinely hope I'll be able to finish TtPS2 this year, tho I make no promises. But whatevs, chapter.
:deepest sigh: and here we have it. Yet another timeskip. Ohtaka sure is fond of these, as we know. You will hear me complain about it every time.
Wish we'd got more of their relationship, ngl. Aside from some stuff in Sindria, I mostly recall stuff from the Second Balbadd Arc, and while I consider the beginning of the arc to be awful, Masrur and Morgiana's talk was one of the few things I really enjoyed.
Sindria thrives on trade & tourism. Also, recently talked with Yudja how short-sighed Sinbad's choice in the island was, bc it's attacked by monsters etc, and while, sure, there are the 8 Generals and Sinbad himself, but what about when they're gone? And they are gone by the Final Arc. Wish we got to see more of how the country's doing bc of that. Like, I personally headcanon that they weren't just, y'know, hoping for the best, and I can imagine Dragul especially being in charge of teaching people how to defend it in their place, but, man, wish we got more info.
Ah, yes, Sinbad, Sharrkan and... the other guy.
Jk, I know it's Spartos and all, but bro is he completely overshadowed by everybody else. Like, I can't recall him soing anything significant. Or even semi-significant. Like, he's there, and then he's the King, and that's all I can remember. I'll correct myself if I see more, but my memory is doing him no favors. He doesn't even get anyting from Sinbad no Bouken...
Tbh, it's a huge shame, bc Spartos is in the perfect position to doubt Sinbad in the Final Arc. Or, in general. Like, bro got his brother killed. Obviously not on purpose and all that, but with that knowledge it'd be very interesting to know his thoughts on everything. It's definitely irrelevant to my Final Arc rewrite, definitely
Like, Ja'far is obvious. Yamraiha, tbh, too, gets some focus. Dragul and Hinahoho at least have SnB. But Pisti's another RIP case here, bc while she's got at least sooome spotlight, it's still very little, and for the most part she's just kinda there. Huge shame.
Sure they will.
It's still funny that we end up on Kou's side by the end of the manga.
Man, that would've been so cool to see : )
Shit move
Rereading this part, kinda cool. Like, awful, obviously, but it sounds like a pretty good plan all things considered.
Man, wouldn't it have been interesting to see.
Also, I dislike Koutoku like any other person, but I do kinda wish we knew more about him. What kind of ruler was he and all that.
Aww, look at Ja'far's smile :]
Sure they will
Several things: 1. wOuLdNt iT bE cOoL tO sEe tHat (especially with Ja'far telling Sinbad they got better etc. but ofc aftermath is something Ohtaka skips all the fucking time) 2. Something about the fact that Sinbad looks genuinely sad here. Like, he's shady, he's cunning, he's not above using people like tools, but he isn't beyond feeling for others, either. Not yet, at least. It kinda reminds you (retrospect and all) that from the very beginning he wanted to make the world a better place. He wanted to be the one to make the world a better place, sure, but the ultimate goal was still noble, and it came from the understanding that the world around them is awful, but COULD be changed.
And, when you really think about it, he knows what it feels like to do everything you can, and still lose your country. He's truly been there.
It's all the more tragic what he becomes later on.
Well, he didn't expect much from Alibaba at the beginning, so he sure must've been positively surprised by him.
Also, hope and bravery <3
Love Alibaba's smile in that panel where he's next to Ja'far, but...
Sinbad is a fatphobe...
Alright, he catches himself on that, I'll give him that.
Listen, it is kinda funny, mostly bc of Sinbad's expressions, but it doesn't change the fact, that the joke is entirely based on the hahaha Alibaba and Aladdin are fat now so they're hard to be taken seriously, and... Idk what else. The joke is that they're fat. That's the joke.
Yea, I don't find it very funny.
I say a lot about Ohtaka's questionable sense of humor, which very much includes literal fatphobia, but you get what I mean, right? There's nothing wrong with characters gaining weight etc, but the problem is the way it's framed here. Like I said, as a joke. As something that makes them less worthy of respect. Even the way they're drawn is meant to be funny. You can draw fat people and make them look good, but that's not Ohtaka's goal here. Her goal is to make fun of the way they look. I mean, look at Aladdin.
:sigh:
On a side-note, a fun fact I can offer (I already have at some point, I think, but whatevs) is that there was a study & long story short if mother faced food scarcity during pregnancy, the kid was likely to gain weight easier than children of mother's who weren't food insecure at the time. So Alibaba gaining weight quickly, which is stated as his weakness, makes sense.
Anyway, just SIGH.

Just Another Typical day
Masrur x Reader (S/O, Y/N) [Re-write]
S/O pov
The days in Sindria are never boring. At least, that's what most say. The King is always wrapped up in some sort of trouble, the palace is always noisy, and the people always smiling. But that was just it, Always.
For (Y/N) It's just another typical day. Getting up in the sun-basked morning, the smell of their daily fresh baked bread, opening up the small and quaint bakery, sweeping the walkway of any debris from the party held the night before, having a Fanalis stare at them from across the street, having people flood in and out, and finally having a well-deserved lunch break. Yup, a typical day.
"Another great day of morning sails!" (Y/N) stretched feeling accomplished. "At this rate I'll have to close up in a couple of hours! I wonder if the flour shipment came in yet." They sighed as they took a seat in one of the outdoor chairs. People flooded by as usual; some holding baskets of goods, maybe a few kids with toys, and the obvious group of Sinbad's admirers reading his Seven Seas tales. Which to (Y/N) was incredible considering how outlandish the story sounded, but then again in the age of Dungeon Conquerers and Djinn anything could happen.
Masrur pov
"Masrur, just say hi to her. " Sharrkan kept trying to persuade the taller man to talk to the bakery owner.
"I don't always agree with this dummy over here but...he is right Masrur. What you're doing most girls would find creepy." Yamuraiha kept insisting, "I mean, even if she just accepted this as an everyday thing, it probably didn't dawn on her it was because you liked her." She waved her wand around as she leaned back into a wall.
Masrur thought for a bit before shaking his head still lost in his friends' reasoning.
"Fine let me put it to you this way," Sharrkan began, "If Pisti stared at you every day, at the same time, shrinking on her duties; wouldn't you be concerned? Now add on that she's suddenly much bigger than you and doesn't talk."
With that though Masrur paled a bit. A giant Pisti did not sound wonderful in the slightest.
"Do you want them to think your a creeper Masrur?" Yamuraiha stated which made Masrur freeze.
"..... No.... " He lowered his eyes to the ground, suddenly finding the dirt interesting.
"THEN GO TALK TO THEM!!" Both his best friends shouted as he sighed. The sudden thought of having a crush became burdensome for the duration of this chat, but as he looked over and saw (Y/N) staring off it suddenly felt worth it.
For him they weren't like everyone else. Instead of (Y/N) it felt like (S/O). He hated to admit it but it was truly love at first sight. Their face radiated feelings of happiness and warmth; even with that kind demeanor they weren't ever afraid to speak their mind as he saw them get in a few spouts with unruly hung-over customers. Also, their bread smelled heavenly ever morning. Not that he would admit that out loud, nor accept the fact he was too shy to buy any.
"Fine...but if this goes wrong..." Masrur ended with a chilling side glance to the pair as he had a quick feeling of regret and potential mourning coming upon his soul. Meanwhile, they both gave him a thumbs up with unnerving confidence as the Fanalis man walked over to the bakery.
S/O pov
'The sun today feels warm.....or.....felt...' (Y/N) thought as they felt a chilling absence of the suns' rays. "Can I help you?" They asked as one eye opened to see the silhouette of the shadow cast upon their seating area.
When their question was met with a long silence they finally gave in and looked directly at the shadows' owner. There stood the Fanalis who is part of (Y/N)'s typical day, or what they thought would be typical.
"General Masrur?!" In a slight and embarrassed panic (Y/N) stood up and bowed. "Is there anything I can help you with?" They asked excitedly as they looked at the Fanalis with new determined and hopeful eyes that today would be a bit different than the rest.
Much to (Y/N)'s delight, Masrur didn't fail to deliver as his ears began to glow red.
"Hello?" (Y/N) asked as they waved their hand in front of the generals' face.
"...... I like your b-bakery." The tall man mumbled at last.
Masrur pov
Masrur mentally slapped himself. everyone would be laughing their asses off with his poor attempt at first contact....well all accept Ja'far who might have given Masrur a look of pity. Not that the thought made this any better.
Surprisingly (Y/N) began to laugh. It sounded heavenly, just like the bread baked every morning.
"Okayyy...Thank you~. You know, if you like it that much you should stop in sometime. I try to perfect my recipe a little more each day." (Y/N) chirped.
Masrur nodded. "Sure."
S/O pov
"From that day on, he made sure to visit as soon as the bakery opened." (S/O) laughed lightly at the fond memory.
"But how was that another Typical Day? Wasn't it something new since Masrur came to talk to you, Finally might I add?!" Pisti said fully intrigued and into (S/O)'s fond memory.
"Well I guess you could say that." (S/O) smiled, "But the look in his eyes, they still look the same after all this time. Filled with undoubted love.~" They teased as Masrur squeezed their hand lightly, both which held a matching ring.

New Life
Masrur X Slave! Reader
So the first time I heard Masrur my heart hurt because he sounded so familiar, upon looking it up his voice actor is actually the voice actor of Mikoto Suoh from K... 😭 I'm so stuck cause I'm “happy” cause they are similar characters so it's like "Yay! The Red King lives on!" But then it's like memories of his death and die all over x.x
Tw mentions of slavery and abuse brief description of bodily injury

It was a beautiful day in Sindria, Sinbad and his generals had decided to take a walk through the kingdom that afternoon and see how the citizens were fairing. They had just made their way to the outskirts, walking along a trail through a small, forested area in the northern part of the kingdom. The sides of the trail were slightly raised and lined with fruit trees and flowery bushes; it was a rather beautiful place given the various colorful array of flowers that bloomed throughout the area. Though soon they came to a stop when the sound of a loud rustling to their right reached them, like something was just hauling ass through the forest.
Masrur could hear the individual footsteps, and easily made out that they were human, given their pace he moved to shift to a fighting stance just in case. But then a young girl came tumbling through the greenery, falling rather hard to the sandy ground bellow. He could hear her whimper as she pulled her battered body upwards to sit on her knees, she was definitely a fenalis, though her hair was a bit of a lighter pink which had likely meant she was kept somewhere dark. It was almost like cotton candy, at least what he could see that wasn't tangled with blood and mud.
Her body had barely been covered by a grey ragged dress with splatters of blood old and fresh easily seen, what could be scene of her body was a sad sight. Her skin was covered in scars, some being faded while others appeared to have only recently healed, though most concerning were the open gashes on her back. The back of her dress was a shredded and bloody mess, showing that she had been whipped rather violently within the last few hours. She was much smaller than someone her age should have been, the girl clearly being underfed. The chains on her wrists and broken shackles on her ankles told them all else they needed to know; she was a slave.
Slavery was something not allowed within Sindria, infact slave owners were punished quite severely when caught passing through. "Miss are you ok?.." Sinbad spoke softly but still she jumped; the small female tried to move away but she merely fell over with a whimper. She was severely injured, her pain rendering her frail body near immobile. She couldn't move and she was obviously terrified, though when Sinbad began to approach, she didn't try to run again. Instead, she closed her eyes and curled up with a sob, it made Masrur's heart clench though he did not show it. The girl was broken, having been mistreated for so long that she was quick to submit and accept the beating she expected as she knew any more resistance could hurt her more.
"Hey now it's ok, I'm not gonna hurt you." The others slowly approached, Masrur moving the closest as he kneeled down and listened to Sinbad's words. That's when something came to mind, his large hands were gentle when taking her small hand in his own before he pressed it over his heart. He felt something spark in him as he watched her calm down, she watched him as he reached up to wipe her tears. The purple haired leader quirked a brow but when he noticed how she seemed to calm he tried again. "I am Sinbad, the ruler of Sindria. These men are my generals, we simply want to help you. Will you let us?"
The girl glanced away from Masrur for a moment to lock eyes with Sinbad before looking back to the fellow Fenalis, Masrur had given a slight head nod and so she returned to looking at Sinbad before nodding her own head. Masrur, careful as can be, lifted the girl bridal style and tucked her against his chest. He knew she was hurt and didn't want to make it worse; he didn't want to cause her any more pain. Though before the group could leave a creepy voice was heard from just beyond the bushes, it creaked and cracked like a demon of the old world. "My sweet songbird where have you gone? Must I clip your wings for you to stay?"
The girl had tensed with a quiet whimper, nestling into Masrur as he held her closer. An older man could be seen walking out of woods from the right of the path, he carried a sickle as he creeped closer to the group. His wicked grin and sunken eyes creeping out some of the generals, he certainly didn't seem like one of the good guys. The old man stopped about 15 feet from them when he realized the girl was in the arms of the large fenalis, though Sinbad and Jafar quickly blocked the two from view.
"Masrur, take her back to the castle and make sure she's taken care of. We have things handled here." This had been Hinahoho's voice, the large man standing tall with a look of disgust at the man who had clearly committed many horrible acts. Masrur had silently nodded as he quickly left the area, thanks to the enhanced speed of the fenalis he got back to the palace rather quick. Everything after that had been a rushed blur of maids and healers trying to take care of the poor woman, Masrur had sat in the common area as to not be in the way of the whirlwind.
Soon he was joined by the others who spoke of how the man had his ass kicked before Pisti had returned with some guards to arrest him, now they had to handle the topic of the broken girl. "We can't just send her on her way, she probably can't take care of herself." This was Yamraiha, surprisingly Sharrkan was agreeing with her. Then again most the generals had already weighed in that they wanted to let the young girl stay there, at least until she was stable and okay enough to survive alone.
Sinbad sat nodding his head, leaning back in his seat as he heard the others out. "Then it's settled, she's gonna stay here. She needs our help, and we will give it to her." Masrur only half listened to the group. He was more focused on the rushed footsteps of the medics and servants, though as they slowed, he both relaxed slightly and grew nervous. He was snapped out of this trance by Pisti waving her hand in front of his face, having likely been trying to get his attention. "What is it?..." His voice was a low mumble, his arms crossed over his chest as he looked at them.
Sharrkan had been the one to speak now, leaning forward intently. "What was that thing you did that calmed her down, you know with her hand?" Masrur gave a heavy sigh; he almost knew this subject would come up. "It was something I saw a lot as a slave, when I asked an older fenalis he said it was a quiet promise. That the female fenalis were our women, and we needed to protect them." He looked to his friends who held faces of awe and sadness, he understood of course, it seems like a sweet gesture, but the circumstances really make it sadder. "A lot of times when a male would make this vow, he'd take her beatings and punishments, if the owners would try to breed the girl the males would do anything they had to in order to have the right to breed with her. Because he made the promise to protect her, and if it must be done, he wants to be sure she will be ok."
Pisti had exploded into tears, this sweet gesture was buried in a dark and twisted origin. It only made her despise slavery more, the others held grim looks as the topic had always upset them. They hated to hear these horror stories of slavery, though for some it triggered anger. Generals like Hina and Sharrkan wanted to go hunting for slavers after hearing these things, it wasn't surprising really. Even though some wouldn't expect it from Sharrkan, he was a playboy sure, but he never forced anything on anyone, nor did he approve of it. He was a man of morals, even if he was a little goofy at times. Their attention had quickly turned to the line of servants lead by a medic that left the hallways which lead to the girl's room, the elderly gentleman giving them a smile. "She will live, but her injuries are severe, and she must not leave bed unless absolutely necessary. I've prepared some special powders; she'll be in quite a bit of pain once she wakes up. Just a little in her drinks should do the trick."
The tension in the air seemed to disappear at the good news, the generals giving him and the maids a thanks as they walked out. "We should take turns caring for her, she'll be here a while so we need to make sure she gets use to all of us and so she will hopefully see us as friends." This had been Hina's idea, Pisti immediately perked up and stood on the table. "We can do it by week shifts, that way we get to spend a decent amount of time together!" Everyone had agreed to the idea, some actually really excited to welcome the girl to a better environment.
"I'll take first... I did make the vow." Masrur had stood up trying not to be too quick for the sake of his pride, leaving the others to sort out who goes after who as he went to her room. The tall male had taken her to the nearest guest room when he came in, being located next to his own. When he came in the first thing he noticed was that she had been cleaned up, despite her scars she was quite cute. She only had a couple on her face, a thin vertical one went down over her left eye and a small horizontal one went over the bridge of her nose that just barely reached her cheek bones.
She was bandaged up and under a cover, so not much would be seen of her body type but from what he had seen earlier he could tell she had a rather nice one despite the starvation she seemed to have gone through. Had she not been taken from the dark continent she likely would have already been married with a family, and something about her simply made his heart ache. Perhaps it was seeing such a beautiful gemstone in such poor condition, or maybe his past had been pushing him to her as he was likely the only one to truly have any real idea of her suffering.
As he contemplated these feelings, he was left distracted when she began to stir and wake, she stared off a bit and was clearly dazed. The pain medicine the medic had given her before probably still active in her system, which was good as she wouldn't be in too much pain. He moved to sit in a chair by her bed, her magenta eyes soon began focusing on his form. Her eyes looked so sad and lonely, so without even thinking he took her hand. "Hey there, just take it easy, ok?" He wanted to make sure she stayed calm, so she didn't accidentally hurt herself in case she became overwhelmed, the shy girl simply nodded her (H/c) head as she seemed to take comfort in his physical contact despite it being such a simple gesture. His grip was gentle, his hands rough but warm and caring. "My name Masrur... What's your name?" She watched him for a moment, the medicine making her mind a little hazy as she thought to the thing that no one had ever asked her before.
"My name... Is (Y/n)..."

This drabble is part of my summer celebration collection! Prompt: Falling asleep Characters featured: Ja'far (Magi), 2nd person GN Reader Requested by: anon [a/n]: One of my goals for this summer is to finally read the Magi Manga. I really hope I can get through it cause I really want to know what happens. Also, Ja'far deserves a pay raise.

You never were a hero in handling the heat of summer, sweating buckets at the first sun rays, and getting so tired without doing much at all. Living in the desert, said summer heat truly was on another level. There were so many positives about joining Sinbad and his crew in Sindria, but living with the sweltering heat wasn’t one of them.
One of your jobs was relieving Ja’far of all the administrative duties he took on from Sinbad on top of his own. But sitting in an office, pen in hand, focusing on the papers in front of you, you could feel your eyelids growing heavy. Ja’far had told you multiple times already that he was ready to take over, that you didn’t have to take on his work, and mostly, that Sinbad should step up and do the work instead -wishful thinking, both of you knowing that the king would find some way or the other to escape his administrative duties again.
A gentle hand woke you up, and you jolted awake, nearly knocking your head into Ja’fars, who had been gently leaning over you, trying to wake you up. You had fallen asleep without even realizing it, the heat and the hours of sleep you missed finally catching up with you. Ja’far jumped back right in time, and you apologized profusely, finding yourself growing more and more confused looking at his face, where his worried expression was slowly changing into a smile.
“what are you smiling like that for?” you said, raising an eyebrow, unable to suppress your own smile. “Your face”, he said, reaching out to your cheek, making the heat rise to your face, as he gently rubbed and showed his hand to you, stained with the ink you undoubtedly still had on your face. “oh” There was very little you could say as you felt too flustered and startled still, sleepy thoughts mixing with adoration for the man before you. “How about you go clean up and maybe lay down for a bit? I’ll take care of th-” You interrupted him before he could finish his sentence. “If I am going to take a break, so will you.” You grabbed the hand that was on your cheek earlier and dragged him out of the office. You weren’t sure yet what exactly you’d do, but it wasn’t working for a bit. Maybe you could take a little nap together.

sinbad was relentless.
it started as a game—teasing him, making him work for your attention, watching as the ever-so-charming king of sindria struggled to win you over. but somewhere along the way, the game stopped being just a game. somewhere between his lingering glances, his effortless laughter, and the way he always, always made sure you were taken care of, you found yourself teetering on the edge of something dangerously real.
still, you held out.
but sinbad never wavered.
he showed up at your clinic with excuses that grew weaker by the day. “just checking in,” he’d say, as if you didn’t know he’d been healed by your magic not even a week ago. he sought you out at banquets, at meetings, even during the quiet moments before sunset, when the world slowed and it was just the two of you standing on the palace balcony with the ocean breeze in your hair.
“tell me,” he mused one evening, voice low, warm, hopeful. “how much longer do I have to chase you?”
you should have teased him. you should have smirked, leaned in close, and left him hanging just like you always did.
but for once, you didn’t feel like playing.
instead, you turned to him, eyes soft, lips curving into something genuine.
“not much longer,” you admitted, before finally, finally closing the distance between you.

Can I have a scenario where Snb sinbad had a fem s/o but working in the company and towards his dream made him extremely busy and finds that he should breakup with her…but later he finds that he regrets it because she was the only one who made him feel he had a normal life outside of his so called responsibility
you ask and I deliver!!😋😋
Here you go anon! Probably one of my most lengthier works on this account so enjoy <3
---
Sinbad had always believed he could have it all. Wealth, power, the realization of his dream to change the world—and her.
She had come into his life quietly, someone working within the Sindria Trading Company, competent, intelligent, and utterly unphased by his reputation. She didn’t see the King of Seven Seas or the CEO of a powerful trading empire. She saw *Sinbad*, the man who worked too hard, laughed a little too loudly, and sometimes carried the weight of the world alone.
She had become the only normalcy in his whirlwind of a life. Late-night conversations when the city was asleep, her soft voice grounding him when the pressure became too much. Her presence was a breath of fresh air in a world that often felt suffocating.
But as the company grew and demands mounted, Sinbad found himself becoming... distant. His days bled into nights, caught in endless negotiations and power plays. He thought of her often but was too exhausted, too consumed, to show it. Meetings ran late. He missed dinner. He missed her birthday.
One evening, she came into his office holding two cups of coffee. The sky outside was pitch black, the city lights a reminder that time had slipped by again.
“You’re still working?” she asked gently, setting one cup down.
Sinbad barely glanced up. “Yeah. There’s a deal with Heliohapt on the line. If I don’t settle it tonight, we might lose the eastern trade route.”
She stood silently for a moment, then softly said, “You didn’t eat today, did you?”
He paused, then gave her a tired smile. “I’ll grab something later.”
Later never came.
Weeks passed like that—moments where she tried to hold onto him, but he was slipping through her fingers like sand. And he knew it. Every time he saw the disappointment in her eyes, the ache in her voice, he felt a twinge of guilt.
But the world didn’t wait for Sinbad. He had a dream, didn’t he? He was going to unite the world, create peace, *save people*. Love was a luxury he could no longer afford.
So he made the hardest decision of his life.
They sat in the quiet of his office, the city alive beyond the windows. Papers were scattered across his desk, but for once, Sinbad wasn’t focused on them. He was focused on her.
Her eyes met his, confusion etched in them. “Why did you want to see me like this?” she asked, voice cautious.
He took a breath, running a hand through his hair. “We need to talk.”
She frowned slightly, heart already sinking. “That’s never good.”
“I’ve been thinking a lot lately... about us,” he started, forcing himself to look into her eyes. “You deserve someone who can be there for you, someone who isn’t constantly buried in work or halfway across the world.”
Her face paled. “Sinbad, what are you saying?”
He clenched his fists, hating every word before it left his lips. “I can’t give you the life you deserve. And I don’t want to keep holding you back. So... I think it’s best if we part ways.”
Silence.
Then, softly, “Are you breaking up with me... because you’re busy?”
“It’s more than that,” he said quickly, trying to explain. “This dream I have, it consumes everything. And I can’t keep asking you to wait for scraps of my time.”
She looked at him with such sadness, but there was no anger. Only heartbreak.
“I never asked for all of you, Sinbad. I just wanted the part of you that was *real*, that belonged to *me*. But... if you’ve already made up your mind...”
He swallowed hard. “I have to.”
A bitter smile touched her lips as she nodded. “I understand. I hope you find what you’re looking for.”
She left quietly, the sound of the door closing echoing louder than anything.
Weeks turned into months. Sinbad was busier than ever. The company was thriving, his influence expanding, his goals within reach.
And yet.
He would reach for his phone after a long meeting, only to realize there were no texts from her anymore.
He came home to silence. No lights left on for him. No soft humming from the kitchen. Just... emptiness.
In every victory, he found himself searching for her reaction. Wanting to hear her say, “I’m proud of you.” Wanting to feel her arms around him. But she wasn’t there.
One night, standing on the balcony of his high-rise office, he stared out at the glowing city. His heart felt heavier than ever.
“I thought I was freeing you,” he whispered to no one. “But you were the only thing that made me feel human.”
He never realized how much she *grounded* him until he lost her. His dream had always been his compass—but she had been his *home*.
And now he had everything.
Except her.
One night, during a diplomatic event hosted in Sindria, Sinbad attended out of sheer obligation. The grand hall was filled with officials, foreign merchants, and nobles, all clamoring for his attention. But none of them mattered. Not really.
He moved through the crowd with practiced ease, giving smiles and handshakes, until something—or rather, someone—caught his eye.
She stood across the room, engaged in conversation with a foreign dignitary. Dressed elegantly, confident, and poised, she looked like she belonged there. And yet, in his eyes, she looked almost unreal, like a memory brought to life.
His breath caught. He hadn’t seen her since that night.
She glanced his way, their eyes locking. For a moment, time seemed to slow. The sounds of the party faded, the people disappeared, and there was only her—looking back at him, calm, unreadable.
He approached her slowly, unsure of what he’d say. Unsure if he even had the right to speak to her again.
"You're here," he said quietly, voice low enough that only she could hear. "I didn’t expect to see you."
She looked up at him, tilting her head slightly. "It’s a public event. I was invited. Just like everyone else."
Her tone wasn’t cold—but it wasn’t warm either. It was careful, guarded.
“I didn’t mean—” he faltered, realizing how stupid it sounded. “You look... well.”
She gave a small smile, the kind that didn’t quite reach her eyes. “I am. Life’s quieter now. Less complicated.”
His heart clenched at that. Less complicated. Without me.
He swallowed hard, searching her face for anything—something—that hinted she missed him, that he hadn’t become just a closed chapter in her life.
“I’ve missed you,” he said suddenly, the words slipping out before he could stop them.
She went still for a second. “Sinbad...”
“I was wrong,” he interrupted. “Back then, I thought I was doing the right thing. I thought letting you go would free you, give you a better life. But I didn’t understand—I didn’t see that you were the only thing that kept me sane. The only thing that reminded me I was more than this... title, this company, this dream.”
She looked at him for a long moment, eyes softening just slightly. “You were always chasing something,” she said quietly. “And I was always chasing you.”
He stepped closer, lowering his voice. “I don’t want you to chase me anymore. I just want... you. If there’s any part of you that still feels the same... I want to fix this.”
There was a silence between them, heavy and full of things left unsaid. Her eyes flickered with emotion—hurt, longing, hesitation.
“I don’t know if we can go back,” she said finally. “But maybe... we don’t have to.”
Sinbad exhaled slowly, the tightness in his chest easing just a bit.
“Then let me try. Not as a king. Not as the head of a company. Just... as Sinbad.”
And for the first time in a long while, she smiled—not guarded, not bitter—but real. Soft and familiar. The kind that used to feel like home.
Maybe this wasn’t the end. Maybe this was the chance they never gave themselves before.

5 Anime Spinoffs Considered Required Viewing (and 5 Shows to Avoid)
Anime spin-offs expand worlds and offer a fresh perspective on characters and settings. Some build upon their source material with their storytelling, lore, and inventive revelations that elevate the original experience of the main series. Whether through prequels, sequels, or even alternative universes, some spin-offs stand out as worthy companions to the main series; however, others don’t achieve the same level of success.
While some spin-offs build upon and even, at times, outshine their predecessors, others fail to capture the essence of what made the originals so special. Whereas spin-offs have the opportunity to enrich and surpass the main series, it’s also possible for the exact opposite to occur. The bottom line is that some anime offshoots deserve recognition as must-watch experiences for fans of the original series, while others serve as examples of how not to handle an extended storyline.
10.Worst: Saint Seiya: Omega
Produced by Toei Animation, Based on the Manga Saint Seiya, by Masami Kurumada
Saint Seiya: Omega is a sequel to the classic Saint Seiya, set years after the original series. It introduces a new generation of Saints, led by Koga, a young warrior who inherited the mantle of Pegasus. With Athena threatened once again, Koga and his allies battle powerful enemies. The series retains familiar elements of the original, but it shifts toward a more modernized and youthful, shonen-style approach.
Despite its attempt to modernize, the series falls short due to its lackluster storytelling and underdeveloped characters. The spin-off diluted the charm and depth of the original, replacing it with a storyline that lacked emotional weight. Longtime fans found the drastic changes in lore and combat mechanics unnecessary, making the series feel disconnected from Saint Seiya and coming across as a misguided attempt to appeal to a younger audience.

9.Best: Magi: Adventure of Sinbad
Produced by Lay-Duce, Based on the Maga Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, by Shinobu Ohtaka
Magi: Adventure of Sinbad is a prequel to Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic and follows the early life of Sinbad, King of Sindria. The series follows his humble beginnings as a poor boy from Parthevia to a powerful dungeon conqueror. Throughout the series, Sinbad meets loyal companions and overcomes many struggles that play a role in shaping his legacy.
What makes Magi: Adventure of Sinbad stand out is the development of its world and characters. As a compelling figure from the original series, Sinbad's backstory serves as a strong premise. However, the spin-off elevates this with its well-paced storyline and expansions to the Magi lore. The series skillfully blends action and political drama, offering fans a fresh yet familiar experience with its solid animation, engaging battles, and colorful cast.
8.Worst: Dragon Ball GT
Produced by Toei Animation, Based on the Manga Dragon Ball by Akira Toriyama.
Dragon Ball GT takes place years after the end of Dragon Ball Z, following Goku’s transformation back into a child due to the Black Star Dragon Balls. Along with Pan and Trunks, he goes on a journey across the universe to recover the Dragon Balls before Earth faces destruction. The series then later shifts to focus on new villains, including Baby, Super 17, and the Shadow Dragons, while introducing a brand-new transformation, Super Saiyan 4.
Dragon Ball GT Is a Controversial Anime, But Here's Why Its Most-Hated Arc Is Secretly Genius
While the tone of Dragon Ball GT's Black-Star Dragon Ball Saga has problems, there are many aspects of it that are seriously underrated.
1
Unlike its predecessor, GT was not based on Akira Toriyama’s manga, and he had little influence on the series. Despite ambitious ideas, the spin-off was widely regarded as a disappointing follow-up to the beloved series. The story not only feels disjointed but also struggles with character development and finding a balance between high-stakes battles and lighthearted adventure. While some arcs had merit, the series overall was a lackluster expansion of Dragon Ball.
7.Best: Dragon Ball: The History of Trunks
Produced by Toei Animation, Based on the Manga Dragon Ball by Akira Toriyama
Dragon Ball: The History of Trunks is one of the most intriguing storylines in the Dragon Ball franchise. Set in an alternate timeline, where Goku succumbs to a heart virus, and nearly every Z-Fighter is slain by the ruthless Androids 17 and 18, the narrative follows Trunks as a young boy as he trains under Gohan, the last remaining warrior, in a desperate attempt to save what is left of humanity.
The special follows Trunks’ painful journey in a world defined by loss and hardships, ultimately leading him to travel back in time to warn the past. What makes The History of Trunks stand out is its dark tone and emotional undercurrent. The bleak, post-apocalyptic setting adds weight to the narrative, making his eventual transformation into Super Saiyan one of the franchise’s most powerful moments.
6.Worst: Soul Eater Not!
Produced by Studio Bones, Based on the Manga Soul Eater by Atsushi Ohkubo
Soul Eater Not! is both a spin-off and a prequel to Soul Eater and focuses primarily on slice-of-life themes rather than high-stakes battles. The story follows Tsugumi Harudori, a young girl who can transform into a weapon and subsequently enrolls at Death Weapon Meister Academy. Unlike the original series, Soul Eater Not! explores the daily lives of students in the NOT (Normally Overcome Target) Class, specifically Tsugumi’s friendships with meisters Meme and Anya.
Despite its connection to a beloved series, Soul Eater Not! fails to capture what made Soul Eater stand out in the first place. The shift to a lighthearted school setting removes all the dark themes and stylistic flair that fans have come to expect. The pace is far slower, and new characters feel underdeveloped, making the series feel aimless. Soul Eater Not! feels less like a meaningful expansion of the series and more like unnecessary filler without the same excitement Soul Eater provided.
5.Best: Fairy Tail Zero
Produced by A-1 Pictures and Bridge, Based on the Manga Fairy Tail by Hiro Mashima
Fairy Tail Zero is a prequel to Fairy Tail, exploring the origins of the guild and its first master, Mavis Vermillion. Set far before Natsu and Lucy’s adventures, the story follows Mavis’ journey alongside Zera, Yuri, Precht, and Warrod. As the storyline unfolds, fans are also given insight to Mavis’ bond with Zeref, adding emotional depth to both characters.
What makes Fairy Tail Zero stand out is its heartfelt storyline and heartbreaking twists while maintaining the essence of the original series. Arguably, the prequel even outshines the main series in that it dives deeper into character development and their emotional journey. Instead of being action-oriented, the spin-off focuses on the growth and relationships between the characters, ultimately leading to a devastating yet well-written arc that enriches the lore of the overall series.
4.Worst: Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon
Produced by Sunrise, Based on the Manga Inuyasha by Rumiko Takahashi
Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon acts as a sequel to Inuyasha and follows the daughters of Sesshomaru, Towa and Setsuna, and Inuyasha, Moroha. After being separated as children, Towa grows up in the modern world before returning to the past and reuniting with her twin sister, Setsuna, who has no memory of their bond. Along with their cousin, Moroha, the three go on a journey to discover the pieces of their missing past.
Whether they unfaithfully adapted the source material or for a lack of quality, these sequels failed to live up to the hype and need a remake soon.
Despite its connections to Inuyasha, Yashahime struggles to recapture the original’s charm. The series suffers from weak character development, inconsistent pacing, and a lack of emotional depth that distinguishes Inuyasha. The main trio lacks the chemistry that makes Inuyasha and his companions so appealing, and the story often feels directionless.
3.Best: A Certain Scientific Railgun
Produced by J.C.Staff, Based on the Manga A Certain Magical Index by Kazuma Kamachi
A Certain Scientific Railgun is a spin-off of A Certain Magical Index and shifts the focus to Academy City’s Mikoto Misaka, the third-ranked Level 5 esper. The series follows her journey as she navigates the city’s underground conspiracies and scientific advancements. Alongside her friends, Misaka finds herself tangled in dark experiments and secret organizations, leading to high-stakes conflicts.
While Railgun’s story runs parallel to Index, it manages to carve out its own identity and expands on the world from a different perspective. Misaka is an intriguing protagonist and effectively balances strength with vulnerability. With a more focused narrative and an excellent blend of action and sci-fi, Railgun surpasses its predecessor in its execution.
2.Worst: Boruto: Naruto Next Generations
Produced by Studio Pierrot, Based on the Manga Naruto by Masashi Kishimoto
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations
Created byMasashi Kishimoto, Ukyo Kodachi, Mikio IkemotoFirst FilmBoruto: Naruto the MovieLatest FilmBoruto: Naruto the Movie

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is a direct sequel to Naruto Shippuden, following Naruto Uzumaki’s son, Boruto. Unlike his father, Boruto resents the burdens of being Hokage’s son and initially rejects the ninja way. With both new and familiar faces, the storyline follows Boruto as he navigates missions and emerging threats in a seemingly peaceful era.
While the series introduces new characters and explores the next generation of shinobi, it struggles with stepping out of Naruto’s shadow. Many legacy characters feel underused, and the new cast lacks the same depth and growth seen in the original. The action remains strong, but the weaker narrative and forced nostalgia weigh Boruto down.

Best BFF Brawl: Round 1| Match 6C

Propaganda Beneath the Cut
Magolor and Marx
This guy’s whole character arc is realizing friendship is more valuable than power. Also he says “I will show you the power of Best Friends!” This is probably referring to him and Kirby but I like to think he calls everyone he knows his best friend
PARTNERS IN CRIME. Any piece of media that shows Marx (after magolor was introduced) will usually pair him with magolor. Heavily implied that they knew each other before the events of Magolor’s game, with it even being theorized that Marx was his inspiration for his attempted takeover. Now they just kinda cause trouble for the sake of it
Ja'far and Sinbad
Sometimes the strongest friendships are born from an attempted assassination.
After being saved from falling into depravity Ja’far decided to follow Sinbad, resulting in him spending the next twenty years at his side.
I decided to submit the two of them during ‘The Adventures of Sinbad’ in particular because of the way it shows their relationship develop over time as the come to trust and care about each other.
One scene that stands out in particular is during chapter 81 when Sinbad is close to giving up on his dream because he had to do something back handed. In response to this Ja’far punches him, several times, and tells him that it was naive to believe he would never have to get his hands dirty while tying to become a king, and that he should ‘use those dirtied hands to build a country. Build your world.’.
There are so many serious moments through both the main series and the prequel - all the times Sinbad comes back to Sindria and says ‘I’m home’, only to Ja’far. When Sinbad’s immediate reaction to Ja’far ‘dying’ during the trial in chapter 100 is to fight Zepar - that’s not even mentioning the whole ‘Sin, I’ll leave the rest to you’ bit.
But they’re also both complete idiots at times that compliment each other perfectly. There is a scene in the outro of the Adventures of Sinbad anime when Sinbad literally gives Ja’far the world, I don’t know what else there is to say.

Sinbad x OC
*emotional and physical flashbacks described for Mori's 1st POV *Child abuse and domestic violence mentioned throughout Mori's POVs *Sinbad officially enters his yandere era at the end of the chapter. He'll be like this for several arcs before he recovers ~POV Sinbad~ The shock and fear on Mori's face was a clear answer. Somehow in the next 5 years, Sinbad would have originally become someone willing to destroy the world. He had always wondered how much he would change while pursuing his dream. Just what was the taboo information? What secrets did it hold that would make him willing to do such things? Sinbad smiled for their benefit. "Mori, it's okay." As his words sunk in, their fear started to release them enough that they were actually seeing him again. "Since I know now, there's no way I'll repeat the same mistak-" "Why would you think that you're the one??” The words burst out of them like an accusation and desperate plea.
---
~POV Mori~ I didn't mean to cut him off. The question was out of me before I realized I had found my voice -not that I kept it past that.
Why was Sinbad able to consider that he will start the 2nd Calamity??? I couldn't look at Ja'far for more information because I was barely comprehending Sinbad. I was definitely experiencing tunnel vision and not the fun type.
His smile was unchanging. "You said there are people that think they are chosen by Fate and would ignore the risk of the taboo." I was hearing Sinbad's words but why was he saying them?? "You also said the tragedies in my past were caused because I think that way, didn't you?"
'The taboo, hubris, the tragedies from Adventures... Oh.' He was answering my question.
"In your visions, my death occurs around the same time you said the 2nd Calamity will happen. It's just like how King Solomon died after using the taboo information, isn't it?" Sinbad had truly figured it out.
'If only I hadn't gotten drunk that night and spilled about his death. No, even if I had let some things slip, both of these two have been clinging to their denial for over a decade.' But they definitely believed what they were saying or they wouldn't have brought me this deep into the Purple Leo Tower. The jeweled mosaics on the walls and intricate patterns of the glasswork lanterns made it undeniable where we were. The fact that they were taking this so seriously had uncapped an old venom in my heart so I couldn't stop it from making my stomach turn no matter what they said.
Ja'far attempted to placate me. "There's no vision you could tell us that would be more shocking than this. I promise I will believe whatever you tell us from your visions."
'Does he actually mean that? Mr. Stabs as a warning?' I couldn't bring myself to check Ja'far's expression but I felt both of their eyes on me. All of my muscles tensed. I've dodged surprise attacks from closer in my own home and from point blank from a dog with separation anxiety. The faded scar from the dog on my upper lip was the only remaining proof and would have been much worse if I wasn't good enough at dodging and deflecting to normally not get hit. ((It's almost completely faded now btw :D))
Sinbad's voice was full of an emotion I couldn't comprehend properly. "I understand that you must be surprised that we figured it out, but know that we decided to tell you because we want you to trust us." His gentle smile only made the hole in my stomach greater. "Do you remember how you told me that there's more than one way to change? That I can choose a new path whenever I want?"
The person encouraging Sinbad to dirty his hands all these years was Ja'far. Sinbad would express the smallest amount of remorse or guilt and Ja'far would shoot down that line of thinking. What was stopping him from doing the same thing right now? I was too scared to look. He refused to accept the mere concept that Sinbad had the potential for the same evil as other Kings.
I know some ways to de-escalate a situation to prevent someone from having a violent reaction to a call out. And if that doesn't seem to work, I also know how to influence when they snap. An attack is an opening to escape and, depending on the person, an outlet for the emotion so they can actually have a civil conversation. But there wasn't a 100% guarantee that Sinbad could prevent Ja'far from hurting me if he snapped.
Sinbad leaned forward and picked up one of the Fate scrolls I'd made. My eyes followed his movement and the waves crashed into me when I looked at the table. The distance between the metal vessels and where those 2 were sitting was too great for them to reach without getting up. They made a point to sit away from their metal vessels, and made sure that they sat on the opposite side of the table from me so there was something separating us. Sinbad even said he knew their weapons made me nervous. They knew I would panic about this and wanted to put my mind at ease. 'I'm having a PTSD attack.' Them putting so many precautions in place was the first thing to start setting me off, but I couldn't deny that I would have panicked, regardless, the moment Sinbad explained they had figured it out.
Memories from the other me fluttered across my consciousness and I accepted their influence. They helped ground me faster than I would have with my own experience alone. Anger management issues and violent tendencies aside, Ja'far was not one of my past abusers. And no matter how manipulative Sinbad can be, he wasn't one either. Neither of these men were my enemy. Projecting doesn't help. My defensive anger was subsiding, but not my fear. I still knew what these men were capable of even if they weren't likely to direct it at me. But if I couldn't mask this feeling, I didn't want to be afraid. Being angry was so much easier.
--- ~POV Sinbad~ Mori sat there frozen. Anger, desperation and fear took turns on their face while they were unable to respond. Whatever plan they made to avoid the 2nd Calamity was completely destroyed. But lying to them, and hiding this would have been worse in the long run; Sinbad was sure of that now. How long were they testing and judging him for a sign of his future self? He'd never earn their trust that way. They were only panicking because he had moved things too quickly. It looked like they were barely breathing until they glanced at the metal vessels on the table. Even though he had prepared for this possibility it still hurt to see it happen. Mori really was this scared of both of them deep down. It's no wonder they were unable to see him as a real romantic option.
For now, the only option he had was words. Hopefully over time, Mori would come to understand that he truly meant them. He held up a scroll to emphasize his point. "I know now that you were also right about me ignoring my intuition. Even when I first arrived in Reim and got swindled I ignored the feeling that something was wrong because I was blinded by opportunity." He placed the scroll back on the table but didn't remove his hand from it. "After how things ended in Riem I started turning to others for help but I was hiding the truth of what I was asking because I didn't want to disappointment them again." He laughed at his past self and shook his head. For the first time in a while he was excited to be able to try something new in his pursuit towards his dream. "I'm human even if I can feel the waves. I'm not going to blame my mistakes on fate anymore."
--- ~POV Mori~ 'That isn't Sinbad. That isn't the Sinbad I read about!' The Sinbad I knew shouldn't have been able to accept he was a human person instead of chosen by fate -not while he could still feel the waves. (Although he was quick to accept it when that happened.) I was only in this world for two months. How had he made such a leap in such a short period of time? Sure, Sinbad is shown changing his stance quickly and without shame multiple times in the series, but-!
'No. There's still a chance this is all a show.' I knew this pattern. He could just be saying this to sedate me. Eventually he will grow tired of this and then he will stop pretending. When an opportunity to gain more power shows up, it won't matter what he's been saying, he'll dirty his hands like he did in the original. I won't believe him until he actually makes a different decision during a major event. Trusting him before that would just be setting myself up for failure.'
I subconsciously glanced at Ja'far for confirmation. 'Oh.' That was not an expression he used when he agreed with the situation. But it was one he wore when he had to accept it regardless. 'They really did talk about this before coming to me. Ja'far was forced to accept that Sinbad did those things, and is choosing a different path now because Sinbad said so.' That meant Sinbad really meant everything he was saying.
'Of course Ja'far would be uncomfortable. Whenever Sinbad said he wanted to change Ja'far was the one that talked him out of it. Even if you say that Sinbad's decisions are his own, Ja'far will still blame himself for not noticing the truth.' That scowl was because Ja'far sucks at coping with guilt. He grew up having to ignore and deny his own guilt to live as an assassin, so of course he couldn't understand Sinbad until now.
I knew something felt different about this Sinbad for a while. He trusted me. Really trusted me and the things I said about Fate. He would look for supporting evidence and cracks in my words to find what I wasn't saying, but he believed that I wasn't lying. And more than that, he had no problem making changes based on the new information I shared. Which was something he did in the original but not when it came to his self perception.
My eyes grew warm with the threat of tears and I held my breath on instinct. This didn't feel real. 'If this really is a fanfiction then this has to be a doomed draft or something, right?' This was more than just trusting my words; Sinbad read the scrolls and was able to accept and acknowledge his own flaws as a human person. He was already starting to make changes based on this information that was new to him.
"You're always like this." I sounded bitter. I was bitter but not at Sinbad or Ja'far. "Whenever you get new information and perspectives you have no problem changing your actions to accommodate them. I already knew that, but" being on the receiving end is...
He made it look easy. 'If it's so easy then why couldn't they do it?' Why did I have to grow up in a situation where I had to see words as more important than a person's willingness to follow through? I had forced myself to suffer through so much because of that conditioning.
My legs would not be able to support me if I stood -let alone carry me out of here. Since coming to this world I had managed to cry a few times. Back home I was so practiced in holding it in that I didn't know how to let myself cry anymore, but this place made me feel safer than I had been in ages. I could only hope I'd be able to hold out until I left.
--- ~POV Sinbad~ "Can I have a minute please?" Mori covered their face with their hands.
"Of course."
One minute easily turned into ten.
"You're correct." Their voice came muffled through their hands, so they dropped them. The eyes that peeked up at the King were very tired and glossy. "You will use the taboo because of the opportunity it poses in contrast to the recent losses." A deep breath. Mori glanced between the two men and their show of faith on the table. "They were so unexpected and great that you finally realized you're a flawed human like everyone else."
Mori had previously said he would repeat the mistakes of his past. Was it something like that that would originally lead him to realize he's human?
The Prophet held their hands together in their lap. The growing acceptance on their features was heartbreaking for multiple reasons. There was a pain in their eyes that he recognized from many people he had saved. He had the sinking feeling that Mori's ex wasn't the only person that had hurt them. Sinbad gripped both arms of his chair to stop himself from getting up. If he moved while they were this fragile he'd definitely startle them.
Mori took a slow breath to keep control of their tone. "I don't know what your specific thoughts were, but there was a point that you thought of your parents as you were processing it."
Of course he thought of his parents and childhood. When his father was alive was the last time he felt like a 'normal' person. After that he couldn't act like the other children in his village. His mother's health declined, so he had to start working much earlier than others. And then the war took all of the able-bodied men, so he had to help the whole village, not just his mother. Sinbad normally says that his citizens are his family -he knows most of them by name and walks amongst them regularly- but he hadn't felt that type of connection between a close group of people since his parents died. And after learning about Magi and being a Singularity it made sense to him that he couldn't find anyone he wanted to start a family with. Who could possibly stand next to a Singularity as an equal? Who could possibly be his family? Sinbad found himself answering these questions and remembering his parents since meeting someone else who could feel the waves of fate. So realizing he's human would definitely lead him down a similar line of thought. ---
~POV Ja'far~ King Sinbad had once explained that Mori was the type to turn away when admitting to a painful truth. So when they looked towards the windows and their arms wrapped around themself to grip their sides, Ja'far knew their words were going to carry more weight.
"Even though you knew no one else wanted you to do it, you kept finding yourself wanting to anyway. You couldn't understand why until you-" They cut themself off and after a moment found the will to finish. "...Until you went through with it. You realized it was because you wanted to see how far you could go with your own strength as a human. For the first time in your life you relished in your own power and coveted something just because you wanted it."
Sinbad was greedy. Everyone knew that. Even the Djinn had to cut him off from capturing more Dungeons. It was obvious that Sin found using his power thrilling. But it was also true that all of the power and wealth Sinbad was gathering and using was in the name of his dream. The only things Sin ever sought out for indulgence were travel, alcohol or sex. Even all of his personal possessions were easily replaceable things. Ja'far had to ask, "Wait. If the thing holding back Sin's greed all this time was him thinking he's some chosen one," he sent a glare at the King in question who flinched as if to confirm his words, "then why have you been trying to get him to accept that he's human? It doesn't make any sense."
Mori turned back to them. "He'll figure it out on his own no matter what happens," she glanced at the King in question but couldn't hold it, "so I just wanted him to get there when he hasn't experienced such a major loss." Ja'far turned to Sin as well to see his eyes widening and a hand raising to cover his face. "If he has the time to become self aware instead of his desperation making him impulsive, then he can find something to focus his greed on that won't hurt others or disappoint himself in the process."
It was a good thing Mori wasn't looking. The smile growing on Sinbad's face was one he rarely wore, but Ja'far knew it well. At least Sin had enough shame to cover his mouth even as he said, "Yes. I believe you might be right about that." He couldn't look away from 'his Beautiful Prophet' if he tried. The King had realized what he 'needed' to move forward and he wasn't going to accept 'no' for an answer. "But now I'm curious. What made you think you could convince me?"
Sinbad wasn't looking at Mori the way he looked at his possible one night stands. It was somehow worse. This was the very greed that was at the root of their problems. And yet Ja'far couldn't bring himself to truly consider reeling Sin back in. Mori had managed to break through the mask that they had all watched slowly form on their King with no way to stop it. Ja'far couldn't judge if any of this was right for Mori, but it was definitely good for Sinbad and Sindria, and by the sounds of it, better for the whole world. Was this why Hina and Drakon kept pushing for Sinbad to settle down? Mori's face reddened. His overly flirty tone was not lost on them. "Well, because you felt remorse. Both in the past and future." They twisted to try to turn more away while staying in their seat. If they weren't saying something important, Ja'far would be gathering his things to leave the two alone. "Even when you used the taboo, you left openings so someone could try to stop you. And when several came to talk you out of it, it took a while but you were relieved to find a new answer even though it was too late to stop everything completely." A pause. "And in the end, you used the last of your strength to make sure everyone else had a chance to survive. So I knew you would be at least willing to listen to me..." The smile on the King's face softened. He only waited one beat before standing and walking over to her. Mori flinched when he kneeled on the floor by her feet but relaxed when he took her hands. The General didn't need to see the rest. He silently grabbed his things and left. Ja'far sighed. This past month he had been hoping their theory was wrong, that -if nothing else- the pattern wouldn't repeat again. His chosen master both was and was not the person he thought. All of this turned his stomach into knots in a way he hadn't experienced in at least a decade. He believed Sinbad when he admitted to the past. He would always follow whatever choices Sinbad made. On occasions like this, the ex assassin couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. It's why he had always advised Sin to stick to his plans, his dreams, his methods, the thing that had worked all along. Change was here whether or not Ja'far was ready for it. And it was necessary. ((A combination of working on this chapter and other self help let me finally reach the point of being able to truly mourn the relationship with my ex. One night in the middle of summer I felt my brain rewiring when it finally all hit and I cried. Thank you all for sharing in this journey with me :3 I'm not done this story yet though! This is just the first of my bigger therapy goals being achieved :D The next is trying to feel comfortable being in a relationship again once I realize I can trust that person enough to try. This took a bit longer to get out than I thought, and not because of making the JJK fic. The antibiotic I had been on started causing too many problems, so I had to switch again. The good news though is that it's almost completely out of me :D I was told that by the rate I'm going I might actually be infection free by February!! I hope everyone had a good holiday, and will have happy New Year!))
