24th post
Welcome back to the semi-semi-semi regular update on my life, friends!
hung out with a couple of my friends on Wednesday, that was really nice, I really did feel like I needed it. I hope I get to do it more often.
new transformer figures were revealed recently, and I'm hyped for them! A new Tigerhawk, and a new Beast Wars Silverbolt, fuck yeah! getting more and more of the beast wars cast done and done, like that a lot! especially with Tigerhawk being a Transmetal II character. I'm really hoping there will eventually be new figures of the Transmetal I characters, like Primal or Depth Charge or Rampage, specifically really hoping for Depth Charge, he's my second favorite Beast Wars character, right after Dinobot. And hopefully, they'll do a Dinobot II, since they are venturing more into Transmetal II's
on top of figure news, 4 days, the physical release of rise of the beasts comes out, fuck yeah!!! Loved the fuck out of the movie, and I can't wait to watch it again!
As for Spiderman 2 news, two weeks from today, it comes out, and I'm so excited! Sadly, I'll most likely have to work that day, so I'm gonna try to get it a day early, hoping that the extremely chill lady at the gamestop I pre-ordered it from is chill with doing something completely not approved by corporate and lets me get it the day before, lol. I am so unbelievably excited about this game, and I will be the happiest son of a bitch when it comes out. I have been waiting for this game eagerly for two years by this point, and I know it's gonna become one of my favorite games ever.
DND news, we had our second session of the new campaign yesterday, and it went pretty well. not too eventful, but was still fun.
that's about it for updates. Remember to drink plenty of water, get plenty of sun, and to eat well and plenty. remember to love yourself as you love others, and I wish you love and laughter always.

The Prime of His Youth: Book II: Quest for Fire: Ch25: Fear Itself
They drove passed a small pyramids of Cybertronian skulls.
"Cheery..." Jack voiced.
"They were always... yeah..." Bulkhead grumbled. "Let's go with gruesome. As someone who loves bloodsports, they took it to another level. Even before the uh... upgrades..."
"So?" Arcee asked, "What's the plan, Jack?"
"Not run away as fast as my wheels can carry me?" he nervously asked.
"But seriously?" Arcee asked.
"But seriously?" Jack asked, "They are still Autobots. And if these people are being abducted and experimented on?"
"We should do something." Arcee asserted, "Glad to see we're on the same page."
"I'm all for it!" Miko excitedly said.
"They are in need." Windblade stated.
"Smokey?" Arcee asked.
"And miss a chance to roll with the Wreckers?!" Smokescreen asked, "Nevermind I'd help Jack with whatever fight he wanted me to."
"And me?" Arcee asked.
"Most fights you would want me to?" he nervously asked, and a pregnant silence followed,.
"Yeah..." Arcee said, and exhaled. "I know I tend to push people away."
"Good thing you had Jack to never give up." Miko stated.
A moment passed before Arcee replied, "I honestly don't know what my life would be like if he didn't... It frightens me."
"Isn't that sappy." Miko said, as they pulled to a halt.
It wasn't so much a base but a lair, and even then it wasn't much of a lair. It was hole in the side of the cavern, with crudely hewn stone. The only thing it truly had was a sealed door marked Energon in crude Cybertronian letters.
"Welcome to Dinobot lair!" Grimlock shouted. Jack climbed off of Arcee and walked towards him. Arcee, Transformed, followed by everyone but Bulkhead. "You get Energon then go back to fight." Grimlock proudly stated.
"Sadly, Humans need to rest." Jack stated.
"Bah." Grimlock stated.
"Do you mind if we use your base to rest?" Jack asked.
"Fine, fine." Bulkhead stated, "Take care of lair. Dinobots go back to fight."
"That's it?" Miko asked. Jack looked over at her, and through his visor she saw a knowing smile on his face.
Jack turned to everyone else, "Unload Bulkhead and let's get settled in." he then turned back to Grimlock, "And who is going to attack?"
"Attack?!" an offended Grimlock asked, "Too afraid to attack. Maybe bugs?"
"The pile of skulls does it's job!" Slug stated.
"Everyone settle in." Jack said, with something unspoken so powerful that the entire company understood it.
* * *
The Dinobots had departed, and Jack looked at Arcelia, "Get on their computer. I want you to find out why they haven't won."
"Captain." she eagerly, joyfully replied, and walked over to the computer.
"That was the plan?" Miko asked.
"What's the plan?" Arcee stated.
"We can move a lot faster than they can. We can find important targets outside of their range. Help them end this."
"Dude, seriously?" Miko asked.
"What?" Jack replied.
"I mean, seriously, you are a Prime, but that's a fucking awesome plan." Miko replied. She then calmed herself down, "Only downside is that we don't get to fight with the Dinobots."
"Yeah, well, they don't want our help." Jack uttered, and breathed in deeply, "We have to help them in a way they cannot. Besides, we're Autobots. Warrior-caste. We're allowed to engage their enemy on our own recognizance."
"Our own what?" Miko asked.
"Choice." Arcelia said from the computer.
Jack looked at Sirenia and Roxana, "Siren, Roxie, are we settled in?"
"Yes, Captain." Roxana eagerly replied. She then looked at Sirenia, "Sorry." she said. Sirenia let out a painful smile.
Jack turned to Miko, "Go to sleep as soon as you feel tired."
"What are you, my mother?" Miko asked.
"Alright." Jack said, and nonchalantly walked towards her, "I guess I'll have to spank you and send you to bed without dessert."
"Dude?" an offended Miko asked, but Jack still walked towards her. She did not say anything until he was a few feet away, "Fine-fine!" she shouted, and Jack stopped. "Props, dude." she said to him, and the two smiled at each other. Jack turned to the others, "Everyone do your maintenance. And Roxie, I want every Cybertronian checked out."
"Of course!" she eagerly stated, and stepped up to Arcee.
"Scrap." she voiced. "Can't we just skip this? I feel fine."
"If you are fine, then it will only take a few minutes." Roxana cheerfully said to her.
* * *
Arcelia looked over as Jack was cuddled up with Arcee. Her findings would have to wait.
* * *
Jack started to rouse. He moved slowly. Arcee let go of him and he slowly stood up.
"Master?" Acelia asked.
"Coffee." Jack replied.
Roxana walked over with a thermos. He pulled back his helmet and the bubble opened up as he enjoyed his coffee. After a few sips he started to wake up.
"Master?" Arcelia asked. He looked over to find Miko awake. He then turned to Arcelia and nodded.
"Go ahead, Ciel." he said to her.
"There is good news and bad news." she stated.
"Predacons?" Bulkhead nervously asked.
"The good news it that there aren't any Predacons." Arcelia said to him.
"Scrap." Arcee stated.
"I don't like the way she said that." Miko stated.
"The bads news is that he got close."
"Slaaaaag." Bulkhead grumbled.
"The greatest of his augmentations." Arcelia stated, "Ser-Ket. She can transform into something like a Predacon."
"And... her breath?" Bulkhead asked.
"ToxEn." Arcelia tried to say as neutrally as she could.
"Any other warcrimes we want to talk about?" Arcee asked.
"Quite... a few..." Arcelia stated. "Given that he was the Warcrime-in-Chief for Megatron. Capturing people, brainwashing them, surgically altering them..."
"Anything big?" Arcee asked.
"Bigger than Ser-Ket?" Arcelia asked, "Not in any of the reports here. Most of the Forged were surgically operated on to have animal-like alternate forms, and brainwashed into wanting to be stupid minions."
"So, what they were trying to do with the Dinobots?" Miko asked, "Why are they different?"
"They escaped before the process was complete." Arcelia stated, "Grimlock was able to overpower his bonds, and free the others."
"And now they are running a single unit war under Cybertron?" Jack asked.
"Well, the first thing they did was stop Shockwave's other experiments." Arcelia stated.
"He must have really pissed him off." Miko stated.
"That is... putting it mildly." Arcelia stated. "Rage seems to be his defining attribute."
"And now for the important part." Jack said to Arcelia.
"Almost a Predacon is not the important part?" Miko asked.
"A place we can strike." Jack stated.
"There are several choice targets outside of the regular Dinobot range, but well within our own if we are using this as a base."
"And now?.." Windblade asked, and paused as she stepped into the group, "Who will remain behind?"
"Jack and his Fembots." Miko stated, and she gave him a challenging look.
"On one hand that makes sense, on the other shouldn't I be with the troops?"
"How often was Optimus in the field?" Bulkhead asked, and Jack just stared at him. The realization dawned on him. Optimus went into the field when he needed to, but otherwise stayed in base.
"I guess this is my base?" Jack asked. He then breathed in and out deeply, "Com check every half hour, or when combat starts or finishes. We'll start from the further away targets, so we don't tip our hand too early. We'll focus on raids, and not skirmishes. Try to avoid combat other than your target."
"How's that sound?" Miko asked.
"Perfect." Bulkhead replied.
"What do we do now?" Miko asked.
"Wait for him to give us our mission." Bulkhead replied.
Miko then looked at Windblade. "I concur." Windblade replied.
"How's Smokey doing?" Miko asked.
"Nervous, excited?" Smokescreen asked, "All revved up with no place to go?"
Miko put on her Apex Armour, "How about a bit of sparing?" Miko asked.
"Sure." Smokescreen eagerly said.
* * *
Sirenia held Jack up as he an Arcelia looked at the computer, Arcee behind adding pointers here and there. All the while he tried to ignore the combat practice happening not too far away. He was starting to realize while Optimus was always distracted.

Weekend Top Ten #588
Top Ten Beast Mode Transformers
Ah, Transformers; my comfort zone! After all the videogame-related shenanigans, I’ve got quite a lot of semi-topical stuff to cover in June. Quite a few films come out. Too many, in fact. Gah! I’ve not seen Spider-Verse or Little Mermaid yet (or Sisu!), and before the likes of Indy and Mission we’ve also got the small matter of a new Transformers film. GAH!
Anyway, Transformers are cool and I like them even if I don’t like most of the films. And the new film – Rise of the Beasts – is interesting because it’s poking at a different part of the franchise; namely the series Beast Wars. I skipped Beast Wars because, back then, I thought it looked a bit naff. Well, not naff, really; it just didn’t feel like my Transformers. I wanted the old Marvel continuity to be honest, and bounced hard off anything that was different. It’s why I never even gave Generation 2 much of a shot – and that was supposed to be a continuation of the Marvel continuity, written by the same guy!
Ah well.
Anyway (II) – the new film. I think it looks alright. I don’t have any nostalgic connection to Optimus Primal or, er, the other characters whose names I definitely know (Cheetarah? No, that’s not it). I do have a nostalgic connection to Unicron, though, so I’m interested to see how that shakes out. But as befits the name of the film what I’m here to talk about is beast mode Transformers.
The basic gist of Transformers from the off – adapted as the toys were from existing Japanese toys – was robots turning into vehicles and things. Cars, jets, guns, whatever. Animals didn’t really make sense because, well, robots in disguise innit. You can’t disguise yourself as a poodle if you’re twenty feet tall and made of metal. Various reasons were given why it could work – pretender shells, mass shifting, nobody really caring in the first place – but as the franchise wore on it became more common. By the time of the excellent IDW continuity a few years ago, it even factored into the racism and subjugation that existed on Cybertron, because beast mode Transformers were considered inferior by some. However, I just like big robot animals at the end of the day, and that’s what this list celebrates.
So: no more to it than that. My favourite Transformers that turn into beasts and stuff. I did umm and ahh a little bit over whether they specifically had to be “humanoid robots that turn into an animal” or if I could also include Transformers whose “robot mode” for want of a better word was an animal. But if I’d gone with the former, I couldn’t have had Ravage on the list, so I went with the latter. That’s it.
Maximise! That’s what he says. In the cartoon. Never mind…
Grimlock: I mean, who else could it be, really? Grimlock, depending on what day you ask me, is my favourite Transformer (unless I say Rodimus or Megatron). He’s a big grumpy dinosaur who’s also a tactical genius and a noble leader and sometimes he’s smart and sometimes he’s dumb but he has strong Worf energy, if you know what I mean. And he’s – I cannot stress this enough – a robot tyrannosaurus rex. I just love everything about him. And, for what it’s worth, I have decided that he’s cool enough to represent all the Dinobots, basically so they don’t account for the top half of this list.
Ravage: so awesome a character I changed the rules. Ravage is a stealth mastermind, the sneakiest snoop that ever there was. And he’s a cat. Used briliiantly in IDW to represent the prejudice against beast mode Transformers, it’s how predominantly British writers have handled him – as a very intelligent, supremely loyal, but also deeply honest character who’s not afraid to speak truth to power and, crucially, actually speaks – that defines his best portrayals. Also has one of the best death scenes of all time.
Catilla: full disclosure, Catilla is one I love because I loved his toy. He’s an Autobot that turns into some kind of robot cat; probably a sabretooth tiger, but it’s a fairly basic transformation so it’s hard to say. He has a cool outer shell that’s a giant yellow tiger, and gives off strong Battle Cat energy. Sadly underutilised in fiction, his death does kick off a long-running and excellent arc in the old TFUK comics, and in my headcanon he’s always paired with his Decepticon counterpart Carnivac.
Sky Lynx: oh, I love him so much. A big, vainglorious, ego-drenched snob; a giant metal pterodactyl who’s also a leopard-thing and turns into a space shuttle. He’s two different beasts! Three, really, because they all connect together to make some kind of huge monster-bird creature. No wonder he thinks he’s the greatest Transformer of all time. He’s got a point.
Scorponok: surprisingly low on the list, I guess, but what can I say? I love all these guys. Scorpy’s great because on one hand he’s just a big, badass Decepticon leader, with sweet claws and an awesome alt-mode (a giant frickin’ scorpion!). On the other, his portrayal in the old Marvel comics was fantastic, as the “human” element of his personality made him more moderate and willing to accept an alliance with the Autobots. Again, he has an amazing – and tragic – death scene.
Carnivac: yes, it’s Catilla’s sort-of counterpart; a Decepticon hunter who turns into a wolf. My cousin had his toy and I had Catilla’s, so we had fun playing as kids. His wolf mode has a cool, very narrow snout, sort of like Death from the recent Puss-in-Boots movie. But Carnivac was awesome because he was another honourable Decepticon, rather than a ruthless murderer, and his arc where he left his teammates but refused to become an Autobot was brilliant thirty years ago. Straight-up murdered a lot of dudes in ruthless fashion, too. But they were bad so it was okay.
Shrapnel: I love the Insecticons, and here Shrapnel kinda represents all of them really. Why Shrapnel over the other two though? To be hinest as a kid I really coveted Kickback; I just loved his alt mode as, er, a sort of cricket-thing. And Kickback has the gnarliest death, squished by Hot Rod in gruesome close up. But Shrapnel was the toy I had, and I liked that. I also like his weird, um, pincer things, and the funny way he talked in the cartoon. Bombshell is boring though. Cerebro shells? Pff.
Trypticon: yes, another dinosaur, but this one is huge. A Decepticon kaiju, a whacking great city-bot who stomps around getting into fights with Metroplex. A veritable powerhouse and one of the strongest Decepticons, Trypticon is a monster. He has quite a cool role in the IDW comics as a Titan and eventually a kind of nursemaid to a generation of new Transformer sparks. But mostly I like him for being a big unit who beats up everyone.
Tarantulas: now we get to characters that I haven’t loved for thirty years. Tarantulas, to be honest, was a mystery until Nick Roche’s Sins of the Wreckers, where he’s revealed as a supremely sinister mad scientist who had a complicated and frankly disturbing relationship with Prowl where they both ended up as parents to Springer… yeah, complicated. Also he once shrunk down to a tiny spider, crawled inside someone’s head, and grew back to normal size. Nice guy.
Sky-Byte: another one who was popular in the fanbase for years but who I only glommed onto, as they say, once he popped up in the IDW comics. For shame! For who could not love a giant robot shark that can fly, and is also a poet? An artistic soul, a Decepticon who rejects the violent excesses of his own team, Sky-Byte has a tragic nobility that I find appealing. And did I mention he’s a flying shark?
He didn’t make the list, but let’s not forget that in the Rescue Bots cartoon Optimus Prime also turned into a big red t-rex. Stomping on Grimmy’s turf; has he no shame?

Dinobot & rihnox deserved better and to live, also if they did get revived what do you think their beast modes would look like in Beast machines. Also what’s your opinion on beast machines
rubs my little paws together
Im so glad you asked
For Dinobot its interesting because he would have to have his spark in a new body since Megatron took over his corpse in that episode where he made an amalgamation beast mode using the parts of all dead characters from BW.
I don't remember the time period they were in beast machines so I assume he is unable to obtain a beast mode similar to his old one unless he goes fossil mode, and if he does i think he gets mixed up technoorganically so hes a mix organic fossil reptile and machine and wants his beast mode which is like a fuck you to megatron as well
I also think a harpy eagle or a condor would be a good one as well
It would have been interesting considering how he ended a SECOND time saving Primal, his beast mode being much more robotic and asymmetrical than before. Yes, Ik hes technically not fully dinobot but he is enough of him to care for Primal and the others in the end.
I really love Dinobot II's design.
With Rhinox being Tankor, I think Tankors body suits him fine but I think Rhinox would have an updated, more robotic and stylized rhino beast mode if he so wished to get a beast mode again. Perhaps his horns/tusks are larger too.
As for Beast Machines overall, I LOVE how fucked up and insane Megatron becomes post beast wars, I also love that Strika and Obsidian are the greatest power couple of all time, yes I'm biased bc I love Strika. Theres a ton of little things in beast machines that i love, but theres also a lot I could go into that angers me. I wish jetstorm wasn't silverbolt and that they didnt change ba's character to just moping over silverbolt
Jetstorm was much cooler and his design was top tier only to become an Asian stereotype which i CoulD go into but I won't
Also what about Thrust he lost his boy bestie :(
That being said I actually think the take of Rhinox not going back to the maximals was a fun idea lol i think it could have been done so much better but hey, whatever
Btw i love blackarachnias design, creepy asf and i LOVE IT
Ok enough rambling teehee

Unpopular Opinion: Optimus Prime isn't a very good person and that he's too glorified. (expect TFA Optimus)
strongly agree | agree | neutral | disagree | strongly disagree
What can I say except that there are many, many Optimus'/Convoy's out there and making a general opinion on them just doesn't work.
But I couldn't think of any Optimus I experienced who wasn't deep down a good person - lets make a roll call shall we? (includes all shows except RB and RBA + Bayverse)
G1 Optimus Prime - Good person, good leader, good father figure. Is forgiving towards wrong-doers without being a pushover. Couldn't think of anything he does that is sketchy
Beast Wars Optimus Primal - He has a harsh personality, hits Rattrap on the back of his head when the Rat talks bullshit and can get feral against his own teammates when they are being assholes like Depth Charge - but all in all, he is still a good leader and a good person. He simply has a more down-to-earth personality and a no-bullshit attitude.
He only ever reacts angrily because his team do stupid and jerkass stuff, but he is never unreasonable.
When he gets angry, you know why and you get why.
Also, he gave Dinobot a chance as a Maximal two times, so he too has a forgiving nature. And his dynamic with Depth Charge shows that he isn't petty either. ("I don't like him much either, but he's still a Maximal.")
He also had a nice moment with Blackarachnia in which he assures her they won't do anything about her coding against her will and that she is safe with them.
Beast Wars II Lio Convoy - The only thing you could call him out for is for refusing the father role when he found out he has a son. It took him half the show to actually call Lio Junior his son, but it made for a nice story! Also, he was willing to make peace with Galvatron in the show, showing his forgiving nature.
Beast Wars Neo Big Convoy - The shy and awkward one! He's a treat who learns to become a good teacher and leader with the help of his students, and he had this moment in which he tried to save Magmatron's life from Unicron. He is a hero with a strong sense of justice who needed to learn about proper teamwork and friendship and it's a really simple and sweet story.
Beast Machines Optimus Primal - This dude is such a trainwreck and I cannot in good conscious say he was always on the right side of things, I admit that.
The way the show treated the Vehicons was a little sketchy, because the Maximals technically became hypocrits, especially when it was about Silverbolt.
Forcing the "techno-organic is the real way to be" unto the non-organic characters feels a little weird, because the show never properly showed us why being without an organic side is supposed to be so bad. (And this matters because the good vs evil conflict isn't properly connected to the techno vs organic plot).
So this Oppy you can make the point that he isn't all that good as he pretends to be in his preachy cult leader role.
RiD01 Optimus Prime/Fire Convoy - Listen, this is the most naive and cute Optimus out there. This dude was willing to let Decepticons into their base just because they were like "We are good now :)" without even checking first.
His dynamic with his jerkass twin Magnus supports that - he doesn't want to fight his brother! The dude fucking pushes him off a cliff and he still tries to reason with him and doesn't fight back at all!
Don't you ever dare call this Prime a bad person, he's precious! xD
Armada Optimus Prime/Convoy - This is the dude who goes fucking feral at the end and shows just how much hatred and anger a Prime can store - but really just towards the end! The rest of the show he's your typical leader who doesn't do anything bad.
And when he made mistakes, he corrected them.
The fact that he always had this hatred and rage that he pushed aside all the time is the most interesting thing about this Prime, but even that doesn't make him a secretely bad person, because he still doesn't do anything bad. He's just an angry boi.
Energon Optimus Prime/Grand Convoy - This is technically the same Prime as Armada, and for once that shows - that anger Prime showed at the end of Armada is still present here and shows up a few times, especially when it's about Unicron.
But just like in Armada, he doesn't do anything bad.
He even tries to save Shockblast, the jerkiest jerk of the entire show, from Unicron's influence! And did just that with Galvatron at the end as well with the full intend to sacrifise himself to save everyone, including the Cons.
Cybertron Optimus Prime/Galaxy Convoy - My favourite Prime of them all - this Prime is just a damn Papa Bear! He will be considerate and loving towards his men, but if you bully his kids, you'll catch his hands bro.
He's bit a stoic dude, but shows compassion and kindness when he needs to.
He doesn't do anything sketchy either, and lets the few remaining Cons be part of the Transformers society in the end, despite their misdeeds before.
TFA Optimus Prime - The one you say is the only good Prime? Guess so, he's a good person as well! He makes mistakes (like insulting his team) but learns and grows from them.
But mate - he isn't a better person than any of the other Prime's I just listed. The only difference between TFA Prime and the other Primes so far is that TFA Prime is a narrative underdog who you are supposed to feel pity for.
All the other Prime's are leaders in a leader role, so just from a narrative standpoint, you don't feel the same sympathy for them as you do for TFA Prime.
But being an underdog doesn't translate to being a better person. The Joker in the Joker movie is also an underdog, but no one says he's a good person and that everything he does in this movie is justified.
TFA Prime just goes through more harsh shit that isn't Megatron and that's it. He isn't being a better hero or person for that.
TFP Optimus Prime - Yeah, I saw the opinion that him being too forgiving towards Megatron in the past is a flaw and that he cares more about this one silver shark more than about the safety of the universe - to which I say: WHEN???
This is a thing Ratchet accuses him off! But I couldn't remember a single scene in this show in which Optimus does, in fact, let Megatron go when he had the chance to kill him!
They always fought to the death when they did and Megatron surviving wasn't because Optimus was too nice. He's not Son Goku peeps.
And I have my issues with TFP Prime and how his characters is written, but being a secretely bad person aint it. He isn't a bad person.
If this is also about Starscream - he has every right to not trust Starscream. No one should trust Starscream! Starscream doesn't exist to be trusted by anyone.
You cannot call Prime a bad person because he elects to not trust the notorious backstabber, who, as Prime himself as pointed out, only does things for his own gain.
Also, he did try to make peace with Starscream after Megatron's "Death", and Starscream refused.
Is it about him destroying the Omega Lock? Nothing wrong with that! He chose to save Earth and all its Humanity over restoring a dead planet! Dead planet stays dead, alive planet stays alive. No one died by his decision to destroy the Omega Lock - but a whole ass planet would have died if he hadn't.
Like bro - I am not a big sucker for TFP Prime, but all these points I see floating around to prove that he is actually a bad person are kinda weird and biased.
Why should he have given Starscream a chance? To get backstabbed and used??? Which we know would have happened because this is fucking Starscream we are talking about??? A dude who doesn't care about Earth in the slightest and was happy about it being destroyed? Who only cares about power and winning this war, which is why he goes back to Megatron???
Should have sacrifised Earth? Would that have made him a true hero???
RiD15 Optimus Prime - This TFP Prime, just sterner, weaker and ready to start beef. But ultimately still a good guy.
Bayverse Optimus Prime - Here you got a Prime who kills his enemies! For anyone saying that TFP Prime is bad for not killing Megatron when he could, do you at least like Bayverse Prime for doing just that? Three times???
Even though he kills all his enemies, I never saw that as him being evil. He just doesn't give second chances. And it was refreshing to see a hero who actually does get rid of his enemies before they can do more shit.
He aint the nicest bot in town, but in the end he still did the heroic thing.
Movie 4 even gave him an arc about losing his faith in humanity and not wanting to help them anymore, but in the end he still does because his Barn Husband Cade convinces him to.
Good man I say, good man!
Prime Wars Optimus Prime - He tried to stop Windblade from making a mistake that would end in war with an emphasis on Windblade herself - saying that war is horrible and he doesn't want her to go through the same thing.
He then decides to help her anyway when he learns what the stakes are, is giving Megatron a second chance, keeps being on friendly footing with the dude and dies in an attempt to destroy the bad guy.
All in all, a good boy!
Cyberverse Optimus Prime - He forbids his soldiers from taking Energon from a foreign planet because the local fauna need it to survive - he constantly tries to do peace talks and doesn't give up on them - He dances in front of his crew to cheer them up - he shows remorse about what happened to Wild Wheel and tries to make things right again - he holds the dead Megatron in his arms and calls him his old friend-
Nothing bad about this home boy!
War for Cybertron Optimus Prime - he fucks up the whole damn time, but he has good intentions! He's a flawed individual who realises what his mistakes are!
Making mistakes, even as grand as his, doesn't make him a bad person!
So, no - I don't agree that Optimus is bad person and I also don't agree that TFA Prime is a better person than any other Prime.
Almost all these Prime's do good things, protect life, try to choose peace over conflict at least once and have a forgiving nature (even Bayverse Optimus, as he forgives humanity) - that all good guy qualities for me!
What more do you want from him to be a good person? Be nice to Starscream off all people???
Also, what do you even consider to be "too glorified"??? The newest media like WFC doesn't even depict him as a good leader because he fucks up so bad.

I’m Azul! If I were green, I would die. I’m going on 22, I started roleplaying in 2009-10. So that’s roughly eleven years’ worth of playing? Around the last hours of Quizilla was when I got started. I am a huge Transformers fan; go see the list there’s a lot! Second that, I’m a good ol’ Star Wars and comic fan I can go on forever talking about them. I’m not above looking into deeper meanings in horror movies either.
I pretty much have no rules when it comes to the actual roleplaying. Go nuts on the plots, I’m easy going on them. I will let you know if I am not comfortable or unable to do anything.
Communication is my golden rule, but I do have troubles reading between the lines so please speak plainly. I only ask to let me know when you are uncomfortable if I go too far. I also ask to not force me into playing with you and respect my opinion. Both had been broken and I blocked both fools.
My style is I double or nothing. You play your character and my character love interest; I will do the same for you. I mainly go for Canon/OC because who doesn’t want to indulge a little bit? This also means I don’t care if you wanna do self inserts. It’ll be fun, so why not? Doing AU stuff is great too! I will always be interested in different variations of fandoms.
The best way to contact me is email ([email protected]) and discord (Azul#8622), especially once we get something going.
I know I tend to spam; my internet connection is ridiculously bad. I live in the middle of nowhere Texas, thus the lowest speed possible. It goes in and out like a bad habit. If you haven’t heard from me, I lost connection.

March 8 & 9, 2020
Hi everybody! Sorry I'm late! I had the weekend off and its messed my internal calendar all up (and Daylight Saving Time happening didn't help things.)
Before we get started, I'm going to lead off with the Eternal Plea. We got a few prompts during the week, but we still (always) need more user created prompts! No pairing is too strange! No prompt to dull/silly/pointless/uninspiring/whatever other thing I've told myself about leaving prompts! Ask for that Slipstream/Arcee goodness! Ask for the crossfaction pairing that only you and your parrot ship! Your prompts are kept anonymous and posted the same way. So, please send new prompts to mod eerian via email [email protected] or DM. Any Continuity accepted, but the newest ones are in the most need.
And now this week's goodies!
We'll start with Cyberverse!

Character review (4/7)
Depthcharge(water security officer):
Oh baby. Oh shit. Okay lemme get my thirst in order first. Okay if you know me, you know I'm a total water alt mode fucker. It goes in/on water, I'm ON that. Anyway, back to this hot fish stick. He shows up all moto moto, ready to say "Fuck you monkey bread", and ready to KILL his project X fuck up. Hes a lot like Batman. Stern, firm, fit, and emotionally inept. His death pissed me off to NO end. Served NO purpose and yes my ass is still salty. I'm happy of the effects, but not the event that caused them.
(1st forms)
Verdict: I love him. So much. Not just because I want him to strangle me, but because he was just such a cool character that brought background to Rampage. He WAS a dick, so despite looks i dont give him 100%. I do give him 9/10 however. I love him.
Dinobot!!(Combat specialist):
When he first came in, I literally thought this was Starscream. He immediately said "Fuck you Megatron you dont know SHIT". And I was surprised when I realized he has nothing in common w/ the seeker. I didn't know how i felt about such a combative bot at first. His whole character was just "fight me bitch". But then he grew. He let everyone be aware of his morals in honor, how Valhalla was a biggest honor. He had such an ark of self discovery. He made true friends and comrades. He suffered alongside them, and found them all to be warriors. His death hurt me for DAYS. And he didn't DEMAND honor in his deathbed. He said to let his story be known, and let the listeners be the judgement of honor. He was definitely the bot that everyone was most affected by, bots and humans alike. He had weak moments before his sacrifice, and contemplated a warriors demise. That HIT me. Dinobot was possibly the most impressive character I've met. Even as he was a traitor, in his moment of weakness, he redeemed himself. Name anyone who doesn't like him and I'll throw some fucking hands.
(1st forms)
Dinot II....oh boy. Ho shit. Oh buddy. This HURT me. I wanted him dead the second I saw him. It hurt me, because this goes SO much against what he wanted and died for. Megatron did two offensives I can never forgive him for, and this was one of them. But...I did like it. It didnt feel like JUST a ploy to make more toys. It had a purpose other than being cool (though fuck he was). It furthered his character in the fact that it showed what a spark of ill intent (which I didn't get how it happened tbh. Science?) would do, versus HIS spark. A spark of a warrior.
(2nd forms)
Verdict: It saddened me that he died. But it WORKED. It made SENSE. It was a death he was worthy of. He had a top notch personality and his speech patterns didnt fall into inconsistency (and that growling, hoo boy I had flashes). He was worthy of all the effort poured into him. And not gonna lie, I think hes my current favorite character. 10/10. Fucking 1000/10. RIP in Valhalla you warrior you.
Time for some preds baby!!
Waspinator!!(Decoy):
It's made pretty clear that everyone is gonna treat him as everyones punching bag. And it saddens me because he just wants a damn vacation. Skittish, oddly spoken, prone to getting his thorax beat, Waspinator goes through too much shit.
(1st forms)
Verdict: He's treated like everyones punching bag, but is honestly a cutie? The whole fanbase is just in love with him, and I'm no exception. He has a shakey charm to him, and he deserved the ending he got, ultimately. I just wanna hug the baby, 8/10
Inferno!!(sub commander in waiting):
Oh the baby. He comes in this series with full on obsessive loyalty that goes unmatched, and it suits his beast mode. Megatron's personal pyromaniac (and lover. Dont even fight me), who will serve well into his death. Which I'm still not over. Rolls his R's like no one's business, and will do anything for the colony.
(1st form)
Verdict: Hes a pyro baby! He deserved FAR more than what he got, and honestly? Fuck Megatron for leaving him to die. 9/10 for this baby

Key Cards?
When Deck Building, you probably ask yourself questions like these:
Is this card a good card that will always be good whenever I draw it?
Does this card go with what I want my deck to do?
Is this card a mainstay that is in every deck?
Well, I do too. And I’m going to share some cards that I think probably should be considered for decks. Because even the best card in the game can be the worst if you can’t play it.
Now, typically when I build; the deck tends to slant towards blue. But this isn’t good for every character (Dinobots and Insecticons seem to like orange, as do Cars.) Some blue cards that tend to get included in my decks are these ones:
For probably obvious reasons. Leap Into Battle gives +3 Attack to any character you use it on; which helps out a lot in Blue decks (and Orange decks too!) Pep Talk is the only no star cost draw engine that is unlikely to be stopped by your opponent (your opponent will probably get rid of Data Bank, unless you have more threatening Upgrades). Are you running characters that have 7 stars or less? Then The Bigger They Are… should definitely be in your deck! In most cases when you play that on one of your characters; they will get that Pierce 4 (which is very helpful in blue decks!) Vaporize is the Upgrade smasher; another thing that should be considered for any deck, though you may wish to run these instead:
Ramming Speed is better for orange decks than Vaporize is (it even does the same thing!) Smelt has the advantage you can grab it when your opponent only has 1 upgrade; so they have to scrap that. That enemy Armor annoying you? Bashing Shield will get rid of it and give the upgraded character +1 defense at the same time! Enforcement Batons does the same for annoying Weapons (or Battle Masters)! Both of these can also be grabbed if they turn up in your flips; so you can immediately deal with the annoyances!
Some other cards you may want to consider are:
Roll Out! let’s you flip all of your characters to alt mode (and hence trigger all of their flip to alt abilities at once) Which might not seem like much but… you might be doing 4 damage to an enemy (Nemesis and Darkmount; Starscream, Air Commander and Thundercracker, Mach Warrior), getting two Actions back from your scrap pile (Optimus Prime, Battlefield Legend and Alpha Trion) or playing two Actions (Bumblebee, Trusted Lieutenant and Autobot Mirage, Lone Wolf). The possibilities with this card are only limited by who you have on your team! And not only that… it also has both an orange pip and a blue pip; so it is good whether it flips on attack or defense!
Building Autobots? Then you’ll probably be including 2 or 3 Matrixes. They give +1 attack to whoever equips them and if they are on a Leader, each of your other Autobots get +1 attack and Pierce 1! Even better; the Matrix of Leadership also has an orange pip and a blue pip! The other card that is in every deck that runs even just 1 Autobot is Press The Advantage (or as I quite like to call it, Unfair Advantage). This card gives any Autobot on your team +2 attack, then gives any enemy Decepticon -2 defense until the end of the turn. In a word; disgusting. It gets worse though; this card can be grabbed when flipped too. Any deck running Autobots should run 3 of these (even if the enemy has no Decepticons). There should be a Decepticon version of this card (perhaps called Cheap Shot?).
Building Cars? Then you should definitely run both Turbo Boosters and Start Your Engines. Cars like to attack lots; and both of these let you untap them so that they can! Start Your Engines is better than Roll Out! for a Cars deck (but that doesn’t mean you can’t run Roll Out! as well; I do!). Turbo Boosters give +1 attack to a Car and let them untap when you put it on them! Then you can flip them to bot mode and attack again!
Building Tanks? Then you should definitely run Hunker Down! It lets you put Armor on your unarmoured Tanks from the scrap pile (after flipping all of them to alt mode). Again, this is a better card than Roll Out! for in a Tank deck (again, you can run both if you so choose). This gave rise to a combo; which gave Tanks that lovely Superior Plating (which gives Tough 4!).
Building Ranged? Then you’ll probably want to include some Armed Hovercrafts and Marksmanships. Armed Hovercraft does 1 damage to each enemy; just by being put on a Ranged character! Marksmanship does 2 damage to an enemy in bot mode; as long as you have a Ranged character on the battlefield. Most decks that run at least 1 Ranged character run a couple of these. If you run more; run 3 of them (there are more targets for them to go on).
Building Specialists? Then you might want to consider the Specialist Upgrades. Multi-Mission Gear lets you play an extra Action when it’s put on a Specialist. Multi-Tool lets you play an extra Upgrade when it’s put on a Specialist. And finally, Field Communicator lets you scrap the top card of your deck and play the scrapped card when it’s put on a Specialist. If you’re running 1 Specialist; you could consider running a couple Field Communicators (which tend to have a more helpful ability). If your team is nearly all Specialists; then run three of each! Nothing like getting some play advantage!
Now on to some cards I really like; but I think get overlooked:
You might be thinking, why would you run Steady Shot when you could run Leap Into Battle? Why not run both; especially if your deck tilts towards blue? Steady Shot might only give +2 attack when you play it… but it makes up for it by guaranteeing 1 damage on the flip by granting Pierce 1! I can see blue/black decks becoming a thing; especially with the arrival of Siege II!
Frag Toss is a white Plasma Burst; if your starting team was all Decepticons (you can run this card with Plasma Burst if you like). Unlike Plasma Burst, you can’t pick which enemy it hits but… it does give you two extra flips if it flips when you battle (Plasma Burst doesn’t grant anything; unless you have Skywarp, Teleporting Seeker battling).
Anticipation Engine is probably my favourite Upgrade in the whole game; it lets you spring an Action on your opponent unawares! You can even combo it with Actions like Incoming Transmission (so you stack an Action on top of the Deck ready to hit with Anticipation Engine). It even works very cruelly with Cars decks (since if it hits Start your Engines you flip all your characters to Car mode then untap the bot who is attacking!).
Lastly, we have Heavy-Handed. Which, honestly, I don’t get why it doesn’t see play. You play this with Superion or Menasor (who work quite well with blue decks) and they will almost certainly get that Pierce 4. Or you put it in a blue heavy deck with a big character (Like Optimus Prime, Battlefield Legend or Starscream, Decepticon King) and they will almost always get that Pierce 4 too.
Now then… I’m sure you’ve heard enough of my prattle. I’m sure there are many more good cards; perhaps even ones I haven’t tried yet. Feel free to experiment and see for yourself what works (and what doesn’t). That is the fun of deck building!

I'm just. Very interested in anything and everything even remotely related to Ghost Starscream.
Like, that is the ghost of a robot. That is the single most incredible thing imaginable. That redefines the concept of consciousness and continuation after "death". That redefines death itself!!
GOD I would LOVE to hear Henry Frankenstein's thoughts on that. Gonna have to catch the man up on SO much science fiction history first…
I say Henry and not Victor because I know for a fact that Henry scoffs at the notion of a single divine soul for every creature in God's light, and that he's at the very least extremely agnostic if not an unconventionally modern atheistic scientist. And the issue that most often prevents would-be philosophers from meaningful dissections of the nature of death is that often they tend towards religion as comfort. I want a man who knows that electricity is the only thing that sets us apart from dust, and who finds this thought exhilarating. There is a man you can have a decent discussion with.
If a robot can die, does that mean it once lived? How can we define death in the presence of created beings? How do we set ourselves apart from sufficiently advanced created beings? Should we bother to do so?
Primus might have some thoughts on that too but he's just starting out in the world and I don't want to send one of the only two New Robots into a spiral of existential despair/delight.
More relevant, if a robot can CONTINUE TO EXIST AFTER WHAT WE HAVE DEFINED AS DEATH...then should we redefine death, or should we redefine life? I think we can safely assume that the G.I. Joe ghosts are canon to the Sunbowverse, which means like...organic creatures can continue after death. This has long been a superstition tied to the presence of an intangible divine soul. For a robot - a creature which definitively does not have a soul - to be able to do the same...like all things, it returns to electricity. Life is only electricity and all life is electricity, and life cannot exist without electricity. And that means that robots are living beings. Because to merely call them existing beings at this point would be to actively degrade their cosmic value.
Of course, humans can't just trick a Lovecraftian abomination into creating for them a new body. But as happened when Wheeljack and Sparkplug transferred Spike's consciousness into Autobot X while Spike was undergoing intensive surgery, human existence can continue within a robotic body. It's not the preferred method of life for a human, as they're used to a different form of sensory input and...well, it's all very confusing and turbulent for poor Spike. But it is a working way of existing, and it is so because the electricity that gives life to organic creatures is the same that gives life to created robots.
Lovecraft's The Whisperer In Darkness is actually...relevant here somehow. In that story, several humans have pledged their lives and loyalty to massive scuttling crab-creatures from Pluto that fly through space on wings of crystalline shadow, and in return...they are granted all the sights the universe has to offer. But the human body cannot survive the journey, and so their consciousness is transplanted into a harsh metal body which is more a life support machine than a form of cyborg existence so that they may see galaxies uncharted.
Actually, that makes a great point for Dinobot II - see, Dinobot's spark (*sigh*) joined the Allspark (*even larger sigh*) when he died, but when Rampage was killed the resulting feedback on the half of his spark that gave Dinobot II life beyond the mere existence of a clone like the ones before him caused Dinobot II to remember some of the original Dinobot's memories. This could only happen because of that same electric impulse, because again - Dinobot's spark is GONE, man. If sparks are as all-important as every Transformers continuity besides G1 would like you to believe, then Dinobot II should not be able to recall memories from a different life that happened after the DNA from which he was cloned was taken. But because the universe is just fuсking full of electricity, and life is like -
Fuсk wait I think Beast Machines might actually make some sense. Beast Machines might actually be a well-written show except for the dumb techno-organic stuff. Fuсk
Me looking at a picture of Waspinator that gives off suspicious vibes: okay, is this Waspinator? Or is it actually Starscream? I have the feeling it might be Starscream, but then again it might just be Waspinator.

Movie Time: Transformers The Last Knight
So I went to see Transformers The Last Knight.......last night....(I made a funny..lol). They set it up and covered there tracks really good for the final battle to take place next movie. But however I am so conflicted. It did not take 5 movies to set this up. The main character inconsistencies, forced romantic situations, plot holes, and extreme pop culture influence slowed this movie down. Most of that filler could have been put in a Netflix series to build up the next movie.
Here are some of my biggest pet peeves of the movie and the Transformer movie verse as a whole.
1. Character Inconsistency
We all know in the series there were different humans in the world who assisted the Autobots in there war for Cybertron. Those heroes were defined in every different series that happened from the 80′s onward. In the movies however its a different story. Here we have a chronological set of 5 movies that’s supposed to tell a story from start to finish. Instead all it does is reboot itself! In the movies however there are some returning constant characters such as Colonel William Lenox and his team Agent Simmons to somewhat tie in the plot but it doesn’t help anything. In the first two movies we have Sam and Mikaela. Humans who stumble upon Transformers and there mission. By the second movie Revenge Of The Fallen it is stated that Sam Witwicky is a “chosen one” to assist the Autobots. Dark of the Moon carried the torch and replaced the female lead with new love interest Carly. I feel it would have been nice to keep Mikaela to keep the fans zoned in to her character growth with Sam. Then 4 happens and we have an all new cast. Cade Yaeger and his daughter Tessa Yaeger. Cade stumbles across Optimus Prime after he went into hiding from the government after the Autobot Registration Act. Government finds Cade and Prime. Now we have Tessa’s boyfriend Shane, and some wierd Steve Jobs looking guy named Joshua Joyce. Next we have our recent movie with Cade once again but without any of the previous characters due to the government hounding him. He is joined up by a little girl named Izabellea, a junkyard owner Jimmy who was commissioned to hide the remaining Autobots/Dinobots, and Vivian who is a descendant to Merlin. Turns out Cade is ALSO a chosen one and so is Vivian!
So....whats going on here. Are there THREE CHOSEN ONES??? If Sam was a chosen one, I feel it would have been better just to let him finish the movie verse. If this is the case Sams arc should have ended with The Last Knight along with the movie series. Age of Extinction could have been skipped entirely. Dark of The Moon could have been the set up for Quintessa and Unicron. Sentinel Prime being the scapegoat for Quintessa instead of Prime. Leading Sam to clearly be the chosen knight and Mikaela to be the descendant of Merlin. Also giving Megatron more of a final boss spotlight by revealing that he was working for Quintessa the whole time and takes over after Quintessa dies in the form of Galvatron and revives Unicron. And if they wanted to make another set of movies we could have still gotten Cade, Tessa, Shane, etc in a more focused 2-3 part movie series about the Dinobots and Autobots including Sound Wave!
Instead now we have a gaping plot hole where we have had one chosen one who disappeared mysteriously and now we have a new one who is a chosen one based on a totally different principle than the first chosen one. The Last Knight tries to duct tape this plot hole by showing a picture of Sam in the Memorial room of Autobots and the people who helped them throughout the years. The 4th and 5th movie looked like reboots and The Last Knight is desperately trying to say HEY TRANSFORMERS 1-3 EXIST GUYS DON’T FORGET!!!!!
2. Misinterpretation of Hot Rod and Missed chance for character development for Shane Dyson
For those of us that want to remember the current Transformers Movies. In Age of Extinction the character Shane Dyson was introduced as Tessa Yaeger’s boyfriend. He was the type of guy that a father would hate to see date his daughter. A rough, brash, alpha male bad boy type. He also was a race car driver which was fitting for him to be driving a Transformer. And who else is brash, arrogant, alpha, and a bad boy.....HOT ROD!!! Hot Rod could have been introduced earlier in Age of Extinction and had more significance to the plot of The Last Knight as well as Shane.
They both had matching personalities. It was fitting. Well according to the animated series they had matching personalities. In this universe Hot Rod is a french speaking veteran who fought with Bumblebee in World War II which is okay. But to totally nullify his persona was a weird move. Cogman acted more like Hot Rod More than Hot Rod himself! I feel Cogman should have had the personality they gave Hot Rod honestly. I believe it was done out of originality to make the movie verse theirs and give it their own signature....but no. Also when Prime left at the end of Age Of Extinction this was the PERFECT time to have Hot Rod take over as leader of the Autobots and proclaim himself as Rodimus Prime! Then in The Last Knight we could have had Nemesis Prime vs Rodimus Prime instead of Bumblebee! It would have been a plot point to show that Shane and Hot Rod need to start being less of an asshole and start fighting for what really matters. Putting there life on the line for those they care about!
3. Forced Relationships and Sexual Pairings
Ever since the bombshell Megan Fox hit the screen to play Mikaela it has been Mikes primary duty to ship the fine female protagonist with the hero in any way he can. Now don’t get me wrong I feel relationships in action movies with other beings is necessary because if shows us that the humans have feelings about whats going on and about each other. But this is too much! It gets to a point where a story segment will be cut and contribute to a forced paring between the hero and the heroine MULTIPLE TIMES! It really starts to waste the film and deteriorate the plot. Not to mention the character consistency problems meaning every other movie they have to constantly re-establish that somebody loves or is sexually attracted to someone. It gets tiring! Establish a love connection and build it!
5. Megatron Playing Backseat Villain
Ok..we are 5 movies in. Can we stop making Megatron sit bitch seat to every other villain in the universe! It was a fine setup after Revenge Of The Fallen. But now its ridiculous. It seems like Megatron rolls in, says a few lines gets slapped in the face and is done with till the next movie. He was outshined by The Fallen, Destructicons, Sentinel, Sound Wave, and Quintessa. I mean seriously in The Last Knight he is given a mission to find Merlin’s staff by TRF. Gets 5 of his Decepticon buddies out of jail just to have them get wrecked in minutes after being introduced. Way to bury the iconic villain of the franchise and make him out to be a joke. I mean I feel if they can’t find something for Megatron to do just cut him out entirely. Otherwise don’t make him cut and run or be easily defeated EVERY FILM. In Age of Extinction and The Last Knight he at least attempted something, but to have the idea dethroned in seconds is bad planning. Also he fact they killed off Star Scream. AT LEAST let him keep his right hand man if your going to keep giving him the “I’ll Get You Gadget” gimmick.
All together this movie and its franchise is fun to watch. There are tons of good moments in the movies as well as laughable moments. But that doesn’t change the fact that you have planks super glued to constant plot holes, excessive romance parings, missed opportunities and mismatching character personalities. I give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars! I’m waiting for the 6th movie so It can be concluded but after the 6th one...I’m sorry but........

Mmmm what do you think would be the most popular of the animes if the western fandom watched the animes as often as they watched something like tfa or tfp?
As it is now, I am sure the most popular anime is Armada, which I don't agree with because I hate that show with a passion-
But I assume that is because Armada was a gateway tf show for many.
But if all animes were as mainstream as TFA or TFP, I'd say Cybertron/Galaxy Force would be the most popular.
The show is good! Good writing, great characters, fantastic and unique world and worldbuilding.
It has unique and fantastic character designs, very good banter and character interactions and really hard hitting moments.
Fans always remember Dinobot's death in Beast Wars, but Cybertron has one death that is equally great and heartbreaking.
I'd honestly recommend it to people who have never watched any TF show and want to get into it.
And just talking about the animes in general:
- Headmasters is nice, but I don't think it would so popular, for the same complaints I have - It is a clear continuation of G1, but does so much completely different.
I love the show, I do, but I will never forgive how they threw Cyclonus' entire personality out of the window. And sure, you can watch Headmasters without having watched G1 first, but like, most people already have watched G1 anyway.
- Masterforce would prolly not be popular because it's about humans, not robots. And apart from that, it has such a slow and boring start. Ginrai takes 10 episodes to show up and even then it takes a while to really get going.
- Victory might be very popular tbh, because it is more fun and has lots of G1-style episodes. The animation is rather neat and the voice acting is superb! Character designs are pretty and badass as well :)
- Beast Wars II is boring mate, it's a toddler show with such weird way of telling its story x'D Wouldn't be popular, but I'd love the memes about Lio Convoy having a son-
- Beast Wars Neo is actually real nice - It is also a toddler show, but far better than BWII, because the episodic storytelling is more interesting than whatever the fuck BWII had going on. This might be popular too, and I would assume that Big Convoy would be popular as well because he's so awkward at times. He also has lots in common with TFA Prime - Not the leader of the Autobots, has a strained relationship with his superiors, and needs to learn to trust his team.
- Not gonna talk about Armada/Micron Densetsu
- Energon/Superlink would have the same reputation as it has now. There is no point in me even trying to defend it despite having loved it, nothing can redeem the horrible animation x'D But if more people actually watched it, I would hope that they at least appreciated Megatron/Galvatron, because he is the BEST this show has to offer!
I would also like it if Mirage/Shockfleet got the recognition as (prolly) the first proper gay robot he deserves.

Optimus’ rated by their gay for Megatron
I made a similiar post about Megatron versions and how dumb they are and @tf-gravesteel had this tags:
So guess I gotta rate Optimus’ by the gay now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Least gay to most, SAY GO! ~
Beast Wars II
This ain’t hard, Lio Convoy has almost nothing to do with Megastorm, so. Megastorm isn’t the Predacon leader and like that the enemy leader tension Lio Convoy has goes to Galvatron
Beast Machines
Optimus ain’t gay for anything in this show, he gave up the gay for hippie fruits and preaching. Also Megatron hates him so fucking much in this show, and not even the gay way
Beast Wars
Megatron may be a damn hoe in this show, but Optimus ain’t having nothin of that! He’s that stuck up angry hero dude who seduction doesn’t work on (being challenged to a duel does though ;) Ain’t that right, Dinobot?)
Robots in Disguise 2001
The first episode shows us in the (japanese) dialogue that they are ex’s. Okay actually they are childhood friends, but come on, that’s just another word for ex. So the gay is there, but they don’t actually do much here sadly, Optimus is way more conflicted with his evil clone than he is about Megatron. He really got over him, huh
Transformers Animated
This is one of the shows in which there is no ex-dynamic for these at all, but that doesn’t mean there is no gay. Optimus has it hard here, having to deal with a Megatron who is tall, dark and handsome and has a voice of the pure seduction. Remember how he said “So you do remember my name” in the last episode? That’s him being thrilled that his enemy crush remembered him. The biggest proof for the gay is him not killing Megatron at the end. The ultimate proof for gayness in every nemeses relationship <3
G1
Now most of the feels in this show come from Megatron, but that isn’t to say that Optimus doesn’t contribute, I mean just remember the times when Optimus used Megatron as a gun ~
And Orion Pax was mad in love with Megatron, there is no debate to this, thats just FACT!
Prime Wars
When asked to do destruction and needing fire power, he immidately thinks “Ah yes, Megatron, we need HIS help!” I dunno mate, was he really the only choice??? Or did you just want him to be the choice? ~ And later down the line he saves Megatron, helps him get up and uses him as a weapon once again! <3 And he actually knew Megatron good enough to know that he was stalling Megatronus at the end of season 2 while the others were just angry, awww ~ Costed him his life, but he’s used to it anyway :D
Cyberverse
Optimus held Megatron’s injured body in his arms, that’s the BEST thing we could possibly ask for, better than using Megatron as a gun!
Transformers Prime
Ratchet said it best when he was on drugs and accused Optimus of being too gay to kill Megatron. And right he was, because he doesn’t even do it at the end! And when Megatron’s sparkless body falls to the earth, we see Optimus being looking down upon him, sad that it had to come to this... And when Unicron took over Megatron’s body, he believed that Megatron was strong enough to fight him, so that they could once again fight the Unmaker together. That’s a love story for the ages :’)

So about them TF animes
Had been thinking about TF villains and the sweet “pure evil” trope that I oh so love and what it means to humanize a villain.
Had a talk some time ago where my discussion partners basically said that pure evil versions of Megatron aren’t good and that a story about war should have more grey morality.
You know my opinion on the matter- I fucking love Megatron as a pure evil villain, I don’t care about his motives, I just wanna see him be evil and have fun :D
One thing I said is that the anime shows tend to not give the villains any real reason to be evil while the cartoons after G1 did, which led to the conclusion that the animes aren’t as good as the cartoons in regards to villain writing.
Lemme make a counter argument to this:
NO. The TF anime villains are not worse than the cartoon villains. The anime villains tend to far more humanized than the cartoon villains!
Do the villains from japanese G1, Beast Wars II, RiD01 and the Unicron Trilogy have grey morality about them and any reasonable motive behind being evil? No.
Do Beast Wars, Beast Machines, TFA, TFP, Cyberverse and WFC (IDW too) villains have any reasonable motive for being evil? Yes.
- Beast Wars Megs says he’s fighting against Maximal oppression, - Beast Machines Megs says he fights for harmony, - TFA Megs says he fights to return home, - TFP Megs started as a revolutionary, same as Cyberverse (and IDW), - RiD15 Steeljaw says he wants to create a decepticon homeworld, - WFC is the same as TFP and is special to me because he is seen to be far more conflicted about his methods than any of the above.
“Good” motive, ey?
But lemme tell you one thing- Beast Era Megatron is an evil bitch. Nothing about what he says is true. TFA Megs isn’t a good person either. TFP Megs even less. (and no we don’t care about his last minute redemption in the movie) Cyberverse never demonstrated any true motivation to fight for something good either. (WFC is another box and I don’t wanna go too deep into IDW because I haven’t read most of it, but I know that in Phase 1 he gives no shits and is just evil for evil sake) The idea of them having “good motives” means nothing, because their characters are still vile and evil.
What about the anime villains? They don’t have any good motive or backstory. They do evil for evil sake. Only BWII Galvatron can be said to have a good motive, but that is basically “peace through tyranny” and it doesn’t get explored as he basically spouts his reasoning at the very end. But besides Headmasters’ Megazarak, Victory’s Deszaras and RiD01/Cybertron Megatron, who are truly some evil bitches, most anime Decepticon leaders are more humanized than those of the cartoons, despite not having a good motive. Headmasters’ Galvatron is a far more nicer version of him than in G1. He is shown to be friendly and hugging his men on multiple occasions. Masterforce’s Overlord is a caring leader for his men! He went against the true evil leader when that one tortured two Decepticons and joined the Autobots in the end! Also Overlord is a robot formed by Giga and his wife Mega, who act as parents to the Decepticons under their wing. BWII Galvatron is a truly chill and nice boss with a soft spot for his younger brother, with whom he has some nice and heartwarming development in the end. Armada Megatron is shown to care for his men on multiple occasions and agrees to join forces with the Autobots against Unicron because of Starscream. He even had a sweet moment with the human characters. Energon Megatron/Galvatron has some moments of genuine worry and care for his men too, especially Starscream, who is his favourite. And these villains DONT have a good motive for fighting a war! They are evil for evil sake, written as evil villains to oppose heroic heroes, and they still got more nuance then the villains who DO got good motives! When do TFA or TFP Megs ever show genuine care for their men??? TFP Megs didn’t even show care about Soundwave being captured! And TFA is only nice when it benefits him and it is quite clearly only used for manipulation. Beast Era Megs couldn’t care less about the safety of his men. And Cyberverse didn’t even want to help against the Quintessons and everything he did afterwards was to save his own ass.
So what’s the good motive for then??? It doesn’t make them more nuanced and it doesn’t make them less evil!
In general, the anime Decepticons are far more humanized then the cartoon ones. You see them caring for another or having friendly interactions far more often than in the cartoons. Headmasters’ got Sixshot as a genuine nice guy when he’s not ordered to do evil and leaving the Decepticons, Masterforce has the Decepticon humans be genuine friends with nice banter and the Godmaster brothers caring for each other as well + Sixknight switching sides, Victory has the Dinoforce who all care for one another and even the Breastforce are shown moments of liking each other + Greatshot switching sides, BWII’s has Starscream and BB love each other as well as Thrust and Dirge + the Seacons being a really loving family, RiD01 has Sky-Byte as a villain who does good shit the whole time with the Predacons liking him, Armada has Demolishor being a caring teammate and Starscream as a tortured soul who is secretely very kind and switching sides, Energon has Demolishor and Cyclonus shown to be very good friends more than in Armada, Mirage being a lovesick fool, Starscream being saved by Scorponok and Sixshot loving his brother and wanting to avenge him, Cybertron has the four remaining Decepticons become buddies and end the show deciding to do evil together, after helping the Autobots save Planet Animatros. And not to forget that Soundwave and Sideways were genuine friends.
I am not saying that none of the cartoons have humanized Decepticons (roll call: BW Dinobot, Blackarachnia, Rampage + that scene where Inferno plays cards with Wasp and Quickstrike, BW Jetstorm and Thrust, TFP Breakdown, Knock Out and Dreadwing, Most Cons in Cyberverse + Globber switching sides) But you see, in those cartoons people argue that the villains have a good motive! And you got less examples of those Decepticons switching sides, being genuine friends or shown to care for their teammates.
While the Decepticons in the animes DONT have any good motives! They don’t fight for anything good and they didn’t start wanting to fight for anything good, and yet they are still shown to get along better as a team than the Decepticons in the cartoons, who are SAID to have once fought for something good!
So what does it matter how they started as a movement? How does the “had a good motive once” feature into their dynamics and actions?
Tl;DR The animes not giving the Cons a real motive to be evil is NOT a problem my peeps, as seen by the cartoons not writing their Decepticons any less evil then the animes do.
The animes tend to write them as more “human” than the cartoons do. PS: I didn’t mention Beast Wars Neo because I haven’t finished that one yet. Also I never ever believed that the Beast Wars cons ever fought for anything good apart maybe Dinobot, but Megatron says he fights against slavery, so :/ Also I do NOT hate the cartoons ffs, I just couldn’t let of the notion that the anime decepticons are somehow less than the cartoons ones just because they don’t have “good motives”. If anything the cartoons are more offensive for giving their clearly evil characters “good motives”. Like you either make a true grey moral stories or you just don’t give your damn pure evil villains “good” fucking motives. Which is why I just ignore the fact they supposedly have “good” motives, like who the fuck even cares when the villains themselves don’t represent that???
