ahhghh....... armand knowing daniel can't live with him and can't live without him... away from armand daniel will always eventually end up lost and wandering and aimless, and by his side he's frustrated and hurt and angry. in the throes of addiction and being driven towards madness and a rapidly approaching death no matter what he does or where he is, because the damage has already been done. and book armand only has two options at the end: leave him alone, don't come for him again, and watch him die; or finally turn him like he's been begging for years, and risk losing him anyway. but show armand has a third option... because he knows daniel will be able to survive if armand is not part of his life, but only if he never remembers knowing or loving armand in the first place

i'm still so disappointed we didn't get to see loumand freak sex. looking at the set for their room is insane. floggers next to a padded bench with a pan on the floor. two corners of the room with cuck chairs facing the bed. why were we so deprived. we got one small taste and that was it. why do they hate us. you can't just adapt the freak sex books and not give us freak sex .

sometimes it’s hard to do gender bend shipping stuff in terms of character translation but i think it maps perfectly onto daniel molloy… in the 70s he’s “into counter cultures” and wears a healed boot, he’s open to whatever, gruff but definitely putting out a vibe. girl daniel is wearing her normal, sensible pants and blouse but throwing on that leather jacket that was maybe a little too much for dates with the guys she’s seeing… putting her hair up and perhaps imagining it shorter… she’s there to interview these women who live in the cracks…. but she’s cool if something happens…..
