Izuku said Kacchan never received any valentines in elementary and middle school. Izuku observed Kacchan open his locker and watch how nothing fell out or was inside his desk every single year. Izuku has always kept his eyes on him, so every Valentine’s Day, Izuku knew Kacchan did not receive any chocolates or love letters from girls, even friendship chocolates because Katsuki doesn’t mix well with women, period. Izuku can so confidently speak for Kacchan, that as far as he’s aware (I mean… he can’t take his attention off him for two seconds - Kacchan.exe is always running in the background of Izuku’s mind), Kacchan has never received a.single.thing which means that Izuku has always been watching over him, listening in to his conversations should he ever mention it. idk why but this imaginary scenario of bkdk keeps looping in my head but idk if ill ever draw it out but it goes like this:

Where katsuki and izuku after the war talk, and its about katsukis apology and after the talk, katsuki says out loud "sometimes i wonder what we would be talking about instead if i wasnt mean to you all those years"

and izuku is taken aback by this and asks "what do you mean?"

Katsuki has a slight blush on his face and says "if we were friends instead, i wonder what id be saying to you instead of apologizing"

izuku asks " do you want to be friends?"

katsuki nods

and then izuku asks "ok. what do you want to talk about then?" and he leans in real close and katsuki is just panicking.

Katsuki: "A scene like this never happened, right?" Izuku: "There were too many scenes he wanted to put on the cover, so it ended up being an illustration of what he imagined instead. (because he couldn't decide...)"

Kacchan knows this scene didn't happen in the manga, but he's not 100% sure because he was unconscious and he’s also really embarrassed by the drawing ^^; So out came his "Ya better tell ‘em that ya didn't actually do this!!” type attitude with Izuku HAHAHAH! I spotted something I’d never noticed the other day! Look at this sus reaction from Deku when the girls suggest the room tours in Ch98.

Mineta and Tokoyami have their own reasons for being apprehensive, but Deku has never tried to hide his All Might fanboy nature! And then just before we (as the class POV) see his room, we get THIS panel lmfao.

Omg Deku what are you pulling off the wall?! Look at that panic! This is how it looks on the page, so you can see he’s yanked something from the wall in front of him and is now sweatily leaning on the desk.

Considering the vast array of All Might merch everywhere else, I’m gonna go out on a limb and say he was panicking about something non-AM related. Hmmm… childhood photos of the amazing person even closer to him than All Might? A Kacchan Shrine?! Bahahaha Deku you lovable little creep.

In fact, his reactions to the whole activity are shown to be different to the other boys. While they’re visibly bored (or asleep, bless), he is panicking, then he disappears!

We don’t see him at all in the panels on floor 4 (Bakugou, Kirishima and Shouji) or floor 5 (Sero, Todoroki and Sato).

In fact, he is also absent in the panels for the girls’ floor 3 (Jirou and Hagakure) and floor 4 (Uraraka and Ashido). He actually doesn’t rejoin the group until girls’ floor 5 (Asui and Yaoyorozu). You don’t just not draw your MC in multiple group panels for no reason, unless he wasn’t there. What was he doing?!

We may find out what he hid since we found out about Kacchan’s All Might card, showing Horikoshi likes to wrap up loose ends, but I’m not sure we’ll ever get answers for what the heck he was doing for four floors, but it’s something to ponder. 🤔

I just want to write you some reassurance. Things have been left VERY unfinished with them. Katsuki has been through hell and he died thinking of the person he loves the most after so much suffering. They absolutely will get their fluffy moment in the future where his character can be comforted for all that he went through as payout for all that hardship against AFO for his love. Everything he has done lately, he has done it for love! He loves Izuku. He longs for him. He wants to be loved by him. They both want to be by each other’s side.

Also, there is the theme of holding hands which has not yet come to fruition. Katsuki’s regret with not taking Izuku’s hand back when they were children, Izuku’s regret not taking Katsuki’s hand in Kamino. This moment of them connecting will absolutely be in their cards. He could not stop thinking about grabbing that hand that Kohei made it into a volume cover and the theme is sooo important that Bones even added extra scenes of it in Katsuki’s Rising and the episode’s Ending.

There’s still more to come for them!! because Kohei doesn’t write his story with half measures he completes his story threads full circle. There’s still a lot of unfinished threads between BkDk. Things they need to say and express to each other. I think Izuku’s feelings for him that he’s kept hidden is one of them but even if we’re not going down that road I know for sure there will be a lot of fluff awaiting Katsuki when he’s back. He is due all the fluff directly from the person he loves most 💕

I really hope that all this build up around bkdk will pay off. We’ve been left hangin on this relationship since The War’s Arc, having switched to Bakugo as POV of their dynamic - which is right, we NEEDED to read also the other half of the story and its evolution. In the other hand though, we got NOTHING from Izuku THE WHOLE TIME. And we’ve been through very defining, turning, fundamental moments in their relationship for which we didn’t get any kind of response from Izuku. And I can accept that. I can feel a little disappointed in the meantime, if the waiting is woth it. But IT NEEDS TO BE WORTH IT THE GAP OF 90 CHAPTERS. It needs to truly fulfill all the expectations that HORI HIMSELF build up through his writing.

I’ve been disappointed time and time again, but I want to believe in Horikoshi. He earned that.

But it becomes more difficult every updating chapter.
