Both stories would take place in H.isui, the first around the same chronological period as the P.LA events, the second one in modern times:

1)

The classic monster-in-the-forest trope: rumors are spreading about a cruel, unforgiving half man-half snake creature in the H.eartwood, in the O.bsidian F.ieldlands. Everyone in J.ubilife V.illage is terrified by him, wild p.okemon stay clear of his cave.

We're tasked with exploring the area and figuring out if he actually exists and how much of a threat he is. Soon we stumble upon the cavern where he lives, but as we sneak inside we mess up and we alert him of our presence. We really don't want to hurt him, we're almost frozen in place, but before we can flee or summon our p.okemon partner we get caught and eaten safely, so he can get some answers out of us.

Bonding situations ensue once he realizes we're not after his throat and we're actually friendly and nice to have around, especially because he's been feeling lonely for so long and nobody ever dares approaching him. Plus he finds out he likes keeping us in his two stomachs, and beside the initial shock we don't really mind it afterwards xD

However, in the end we discover that K.amado actually knew n.aga!V.olo was real, and he sent us to investigate him just so he could get rid of us. Nobody is happy with this.

2)

A Modern!AU story where n.aga!V.olo is our college roommate/study buddy, and we've been knowing him for so long. We don't know this, but we're actually his only friend. Unfortunately most people on campus are repulsed by him, despite his sweet and cheerful demeanor.

After revising our notes and manuals for hours, we're exhausted and can barely keep our eyes open. That's when V.olo offers to swallow us for the first time, assuring us it's all completely safe. We accept, and take a long nap inside as he keeps studying his own stuff.

He'd massage and stroke the bulge in his tail where we're in, and even play around a bit when he says he's gonna let us out, but instead we're sent deeper inside as everything around us gurgles and rumbles xD we enjoy his company however and we have no errands or places to be then, so we just relax some more and let him take care of us x3

Also I'm very glad we're both such huge fans of long-term endosoma/vore! We'd basically have a field day if n.aga!V.olo pushed us deeper to his small intestine and/or kept us inside for days xD perhaps it'd be a little cramped, but the warmth and the rubs would make it pretty cozy regardless x3 💕

Omg yeah absolutely!! I picked this size because not only is it very cute, but he'd need a few gulps to send us down, and we'd leave a small bump too, which is super lovely! x3 His belly would feel slightly tighter, but we could still move around, it's pretty good imo! We adore snug stomachs! x3 💕 plus I feel like he'd be the perfect combination of protectiveness and playfulness, which is very fitting for a charming character like him! x3

Oooooh I like this a lot!! I'd love to be his travelling companion on his journeys, and help with his research by exploring ancient sea ruins and more! Btw I also had thought of a giant m.erman!V.olo, with us being of our normal height and him around 42'? This way he could protect us from P.rimal K.yogre for example, or other beeg sea p.okemon! x3 Regardless of his size though, as long as he can get away safely with us in tow, I'm happy and not terribly concerned 🥺 hopefully he doesn't get hurt! Especially if it was us that somehow drew the attention of those sea p.okemon! :(((((

Either way, we'd definitely check up on him after such a tense event, and depending on how he's doing we could either remain inside, or have him bring us out so we can maybe help him heal, or at the very list rub his stomach to make him feel better! 🥺🥺❤️❤️

SO GRATEFUL AGAIN to the kind cat who generously blessed me (!) w/ the choccy meal replacements off of my wishlist ( ´ ꒳ `人 ) 💓 🍫 I've depended on those to get most my nutrients in tbh.. lol, sad but real (ok, in addition to the one-a-day gummies + protein bars... it isn't sad at all, it's heartwarmingly delish rly so tysm <3)

Been working my cheeks off to transform into the person I know I can be/live how I want to live!!╰( ⋋ ‸ ⋌ )╯ listening to Work Bitch by Britney while doing as much good for myself/others as I possibly can, WHILE STILL confined by what's outside of my control!!! It's a full-time job in itself & I'm barely surviving enough to enjoy it. I've trained myself like a DOGbarkbarkbarkarfarfwoof; to be comfortable throughout this kind of bonkers @%$# now, which feels better (we're inching towards effortless instead of miserable). The peaceful moments before bed & moments after meals are so nice nowadays

hmm tbh i started engaging with the game when i actually started playing so im. hmm

okay this answer might be a bit longer than u were expecting but i hope it’ll be useful!

the way the game works is you have the rhythm game part, and the stories. each unit has a main story, and then there are events, which come out periodically, one after the other. events can be a key story event (about just one unit, focusing on one character from that unit) or mixed unit (so with multiple characters from different units). you can easily follow the story of one group by reading just their main story and then their key stories, but i think it’s all much more enjoyable when you go in order, bc sometimes they reference past mixed events or smth that has happened in another unit’s key story. there’s also the side stories which just add a couple of scenes to an event and those are indeed locked behind actually having the cards related to the event, but you can always find the side stories online, and honestly i dont read them much (unless they involve my faves uwu).

so imo you don’t need to play into the gacha mechanics or even the rhythm game aspect to enjoy the content, you can download the game and just read the stories! they’re all available (like, you dont need to play to unlock them!) and neatly organized (you can even organize them by unit, characters appearing, when they happened etc.) basically, you can treat the app like a free visual novel and pretend the cards dont exist lol you can even play the rhythm game ignoring the gacha system, bc after readind the first chapter of the main story of a certain unit you get the 2* cards of the respective characters, so then u can make a team and play some songs just for fun

but if u rly dont want to get it (i know some people are against gacha games as a principle!) i guess you can check the schedule of past events on the fanwiki and the then google them one by one to see if u can find them online (i know the official project sekai channel is uploading past events, just know they’re quite late lol and that’s on top of the 1 year delay compared to the jp server). i’d still recommend reading them on the actual game tho, or at least i prefer it! you can press to go forward faster if the auto speed feels slow or pull up the log to read back etc.

either way i’d say find a way to read the stories in order, at least the main story of each unit so you get to know the characters and choose your faves! after that you can totally just read the events related to your favourite characters / units. and then you just follow people who post about prsk / create fan content for it and follow some tags (i follow the tags for my favorite prsk ships on my social media uwu)

prsk is quite popular so there is a LOT of fan content out there, on every major social media platform… which is both a blessing and a curse lmao

as an autistic/autistic-coded characters he is ofc subject to Pure Sunshine Syndrome UwU so most of my unpopular opinions are just canon facts lmao. he's very smart and a capable leader, charisma is just his dump stat

also i know someone wrote a meta post explaining this way better but Laios is just so angry. the post was mostly about how in most media the character who is autistic misreads the social situation is always in the wrong. the character must always realize they've committed a horrible social taboo and eventually apologize to everyone for their bad behavior. but Dugeon Meshi lets Laios be angry. like yeah!! why didn't ppl just explain things to him?? he gets mad when other ppl pretend to get along w him but actually dislike him and are waiting for him to get a clue. so yeah, Laios is a chill guy but underneath that he is just so angry at the world all the time. he's pissed off ppl treat him like a freak for acting sincerely, he's pissed off ppl treat his sister like a freak for her natural talents, and Kabru is super valid and right for assuming that Laios hates humanity bc he kinda does a lil (tho not to the extent that Kabru thought ofc)

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

Yesterday, i had a high calorie day. Like really high. I also am drinking a monster (230). The ultras run out so fast. I did buy more LaCroix tho so im glad i have that instead of soda at home. “oh not again,” you muttered, listening to your cat meow in front of the door of your apartment. you fell back into your sofa. “not this.”

it had been two weeks since she started meowing. and you knew exactly what for.

you clicked your tongue and didn’t even bother moving. you damn well knew that the meowing in front of the door was absolutely not for another round of your daily trip around the neighborhood from five minutes ago. it was for being apart from the neighbor’s cat that joined you guys on your trek today.

that happened vice versa, too. so that luckily wasn’t on you all the time. and on other days you would both be walking around the neighborhood, having had similar plans, and your cats would spot and smell each other and ditch all their good behaviors just to see each other.

stupid affectionate cats.

“stop it,” you told her, but you weren’t putting in much effort either. you slammed one of the loose pillows that were lying next to you. you voiced a muffled scream into it, slowly turning crazy from all the meowing.

even when she was slowing down on the meowing you still knew it would start all over again the minute you started moving from your seat.

“i can’t believe this. are you in love with the cat from next door or something?”

now, you should have known better in not even mentioning ‘the cat from next door’ when being close to her.

something inside her just knew.

she immediately brightened up and started wagging her tail in excitement. you cursed under your breath, but could only hate yourself as you were the one who had done it now.

“okay, fine!” you exclaimed, throwing the pillow off your face and grabbing the leash that you had thrown on the floor. “if you’re misbehaving i’ll put you on the leash again.”

she wouldn’t misbehave, you knew that. but bringing the leash was just a way to make sure she wouldn’t actually run off with the neighbor’s cat on her way making cute cat babies. (even though she was spayed, you never knew if she still longed for a simple family of two with that cute male cat.)

“let’s go then,” you whispered.

you opened the door, trying to keep your cat on the down low before she could sprint outside. however, you were too slow and she rushed outside the door within the first two seconds. she ran over to the neighbor’s door and started meowing frantically, trying to gain the attention she needed.

you realized you had never actually seen your next door neighbor from up close before. it had been some ‘hellos’ and nods directed at each other from across the street, but that was about it. (not that you had, um, lost your cat once or twice in the process, but that’s beside the point.)

somehow your heart started banging in your chest. oh god. you could hear him come closer and closer, reaching that damned front door. you were debating whether or not to jump back into your own apartment, but the switch of the key in the keyhole told you you were too late already.

the door creaked open and, before you could greet him, your cat raced inside, on her way to see the love of her life.

you clicked your tongue for the nth time and slapped yourself on your forehead.

“uh, are you okay?” the very kind voice asked you.

you sighed, too embarrassed to meet his eyes. “yeah. it’s just that my cat just has been meowing about seeing your cat the entire day, you know the drill.”

“haha, yep.” the laugh was sweet and kind, and you were actually curious to see your neighbor from up close.

so you did. curiosity killed the cat.

nearly quite literally.

the neighbor — a man — was broad and lean, and honestly so perfect. he was so breathtakingly beautiful you nearly forgot how to speak.

“i’m sorry if it brought you any inconvenience,” he told you, scratching the back of his head.

“ah,” you quickly said, not really knowing how to follow up from that. that was the exact same thing you had been wanting to tell him. all that meowing must have been very annoying to him. “yeah, no, i mean, i wasn’t going crazy yet, but i was getting close to it, you know?” you laughed nervously. “what about you?”

“it’s not super busy for my studies as of right now anyways, but it’s been worse, to be honest,” he admitted.

you crunched your face. “i am so sorry this is happening. i honestly don’t know what came over her one day, and how i haven’t been able to stop it.”

“i guess you can’t stop love, huh?” he said, grinning wildly.

you noticed he was looking back into his apartment, eyeing something that made his eyes shine with adoration. he then saw you looking at him with your brows furrowed, and stepped aside, making room for you to look. he motioned two fingers in front of his lips, hinting that you needed to stay still. you peeked around the corner and there you saw the prettiest and cutest of views ever.

in the light of the sun falling down in the living room, the two cats were huddled together in the warm spot on the floor. their tails were intertwined and twirling around each other. even the outside noises could not dim their loud purring.

you cooed at the sight, not too loudly, though! you didn’t want to scare those two away from you.

“do you want to leave them alone for a short while?” your neighbor had leaned into you, whispering into your ear. his soft but hoarse voice made the hairs in your neck stand up straight. you gulped. that had been the closest any guy had come up to you in recent times.

“absolutely,” you finally returned. you grinned as you backed away from the door, as your neighbor slowly closed it.

you mentioned you wouldn’t mind it if the two of you spent their waiting them in your apartment, which he happily agreed on. you suddenly realized you had forgotten his name in the passing, which he confessed to having had the same problem happening. the two of you laughed about it as you entered your apartment, and you made him some tea for the wait.

iwaizumi hajime was very cute as he was waiting on his tea, you just couldn’t lie about that.

maybe you and iwaizumi hajime would need to share some more time together if your cats were too.

that didn’t sound like a bad idea at all.
