I have a very... practical outlook on life, and part of that is the fact that I have multiple severe/dangerous heath issues that could kick in at any time, so I have made a non-legally binding will for my father to follow (and he has agreed to do so as best he can). Part of that is that I do not want a boring/normal funeral. I would like confetti cannons. I am also picking out my own death playlist. Here are the songs currently on it. I couldn't sleep so I decided it was a fine time to make it. These are not in order yet, I will do that when I get a flash drive to put the mp3s on when I download them.
Leaving on a Jetplane
Edelweiss
Stay awake
Annie's song
Sweet dreams to sunbeams
Light in the hallway pentatonix
Homeward bound

Dancing with your ghost by Sasha Alex Sloan

Bad wolf theme from doctor who extended
The goodbye song from bear in the big blue house

If I didn't have you from Monsters Inc
The milk carton By Madilyn Mei
Fake your death by my chemical Romance

City Of the dead by eurielle
Mordred's lullaby by Heather dale
Misty mountains either by Rachel hardy or by Richard armitage
All is found by Evan Rachel wood
Feel free to reblog or comment or whatever, I don't care either way. I personally feel like death should not be as taboo as it is currently in society. I am more than happy to talk more or answer questions people might have!!

edelweiss : what was the bravest moment in your muse’s life ? are they known to be courageous from then on ?

edelweiss : what was the bravest moment in your muse’s life ? are they known to be courageous from then on ?
---
Perhaps when he had decided that enough, was enough.
She had had one of those tender complexions, then, whereas after a good cry she grew to be blurred and inflamed and entirely heart wrenchingly sweet. With her trembling hands and flustered cheeks, Cynthia had beautifully played the part of the innocent, heartbroken girl child so well that even Cyrus – with his mind made up and his words, venomously spat – had wondered if what he was doing, was to become his largest mistake. His biggest regret. But, that was just how she always had made him feel.
“Is this really what you want?” She had asked him, her voice thick with tears. And he had wondered, indeed, if it was.
“Have you lied to me all along, when you told me I was the only one for you?”
He had, he had he had… Because he had feared saying something different for the longest of times…
I… don’t think that Cyrus can be described as a courageous man – not really. For even in what could be, in his mind, his bravest of moments… For he walked away from it all feeling as though his heart were to stop on the spot. Breaking up with Cynthia had been a point in his life, where his path inevitably diverted to somewhere inescapable. It had marked the day he decided that Galactic (then, without its name) was to be an effort worth pursuing. But, it also marked the day he forewent any chance at normalcy – and she, as they turned upon their heels to part ways, had eagerly reminded him of that fact.
Her sorrow, seemingly evaporated and replaced by teeth clenching ire.
“You could’ve made a wife out of me, Cyrus. Now, instead… you’re but a madman set on digging his own grave.”
And in a way, she had been right – even if it hadn’t been so clean-cut in the end.
Cyrus has never been seen as brave, not by anyone. Not even by those whom had held him upon a pedestal of godhood. He had been divine, he had been all knowing and destined for something greater but… Brave? No.
He wasn’t, and isn’t brave… and he perhaps never has been, either.
But, he also isn’t a coward. For, despite it all – he never gave up on his goals until they were forcefully ripped from his hands by nothing less than a God. A coward never would’ve been able last as long as he had, not even half.
He may simply be something that lays in-between the two.

Finally finished this! A late birthday gift for my girlfriend, of her character Cyrus from her webcomic Oversync! I had some trouble figuring out what a man would wear for an art nouveau style illustration, but I ended up going with a roman toga inspired drape and a cape.
Lots of flower symbolism here too:
Rhodondenron (danger), Edelweiss (courage, devotion), Fir (Time), Juniper (protection), Liverwort (confidence), Eremurus (endurance).

Coffee Days Whiskey Nights by Cyrus Parker
Release Date: September 7th, 2020
Rating: ★★★
Coffee Days Whiskey Nights has a very unique concept in that on all the pages on the left side you have the "coffee days" which typically contain the more hopeful, happy poems and the "whiskey nights" which are the more insecure, unhappy poems. I loved this way of publishing the poetry, and I really think having some kind of organizational method in a poetry collection helps readers digest the words.
Unfortunately some of this collection seemed like rambling, unorganized thoughts that weren't relatable. The poems that were relatable or inspirational seemed to only be so in a vague "anyone could have said it way," that's similar to inspirational tweets that go viral, for example. Good words but unspecific, and you aren't sure where it really came from because they aren't incredibly profound. This was disappointing for me because I had been really looking forward to this collection. I think Cyrus Parker has a lot of writing potential and a lot of thoughts to put to paper, and one day when all their skills are honed we'll be blown away.
Thank you to NetGalley, Central Avenue Publishing, and Cyrus Parker for this advanced review copy.

My message to every entrepreneur in India is, “Go out there, build your dream and more importantly, build a business model that is sustainable over time.” Says Ms. Kalpana Morparia, CEO, JP Morgan Chase, South Asia and India, “What made the Jury process truly outstanding is the richness of the candidates. This year's theme for the Awards – 'Ideas, Innovation and Inspiration', are the three 'I's that are driving India's economy and many of the 2016 finalists embody this theme. Looking beyond the digital services companies, what is phenomenal is that existing established businesses are disrupting their own models to keep pace with the digital economy.” Watch what the jury has to say about the EOY 2016 finalists in this video. The selection criterion included the nominee's entrepreneurial spirit, recent financial performance, strategic direction and global impact, product or service innovation, company leadership including personal integrity and risk-taking, values and key employee initiatives, and involvement with the community. The winners will be announced across several categories, while the national winner will represent India at the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year (WEOY) awards in Monte Carlo from 8-11 June 2017. Rajiv Memani, Chairman, EY India, says, “What strikes me about our 2016 Finalists is how they have acquired tremendous scale and size from what were clearly modest beginnings. A strong focus on the customer and a business model based on innovative products and services for niche markets have enabled them to create a lasting impact. Also, reliance on technology and a bold vision for the future has helped them scale up rapidly.” Says Farokh Balsara, Partner and EOY India Program Leader, “Entrepreneurs have the power to impact our lives. Their unyielding drive to seize the power of transformative ideas creates jobs, energizes markets, builds wealth and spurs economic growth around the world. We salute their passion and insight that make them different and exceptional. Our EOY 2016 India finalists are a rare group of individuals who with their disruptive ideas and incredible innovation are inspiring a whole new generation of entrepreneurs.” Zarin Daruwala, Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered and sponsor of the EOY 2016 India Awards says, “We are delighted to sponsor The EY awards, which captures and celebrates the spirit behind India's economic resurgence – the Indian entrepreneur. Never before in our history have we seen ideas and innovation spur on with such zeal, whether it is in the exciting world of start-ups with technology as the centrepiece of business ideas, or conventional business which are reshaping themselves by using technology to unleash the full potential of their products and services. India, today, has the third highest number of Unicorns globally, with two of them in the top 20, and the IITs rank fourth across all institutes in producing billion dollar start-up entrepreneurs. The lasting impact is in the manifold ways entrepreneurship touches and changes lives: creating employment, raising health and education standards, and ushering in a stable and progressive society. With the government encouraging new entrepreneurship through 'StartupIndia' and the success stories already scripted, India is becoming the crucible of ideas, ambition and entrepreneurial spirit.” The past winners of the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year India Awards include Vinita and Nilesh Gupta (Lupin Limited), Dr. Cyrus S.
