The young man known as Ciel was not actually given that name at birth. He is actually the only surviving of the mostly unknown Phantomhive twins. Cyrus and Ciel were definitely very close, the identical boys the joy of their parent's life. Cyrus, unfortunately, was ill a lot growing up, as well as having severe asthma. He was usually kept inside to keep from getting ill. His brother kept him company as often as he could, the two often playing chess to pass the time. As they got older, Cyrus was able to be around his family more. It was a happy time, and Cyrus liked being able to go out with his parents. Until the fire that destroyed their home, when the boys were taken by a circle of less than honorable nobles. At first, things seemed alright. They were fed and clothes and washed and treated nicely, but it wasn't meant to be. It was soon revealed that they were to be sacrifices ro bring the lord of the nobles to life again, but they would need to be defiled first.Tortured and tormented, the boys begged for help for what felt like ages. Knowing their parents were gone did little to keep their hopes alive. The final breaking point for Cyrus was seeing his twin stabbed. Watching his brother die, Cyrus' anger and hatred lashed out, his very soul screaming for justice, and or summoned the demon who would soon serve him. The demon asked if he understood that heaven would be closed to him, and Cyrus' rebuttal was that someone if faith would never have summoned the demon. In exchange for his brother's life, Cyrus - choosing to take his brother's name - had those who had harmed him and his brother killed. He gave the demon the name Sebastian, and he himself became Ciel Phantomhive with the pain of the faustian mark being embedded into his eye. Sebastian othed the young lad and the two returned to the ruined 0hanto.hive manor, which Sebastian rebuilt in less than a day. In returning, Ciel took on his father's title as Earl, his brothers3 place as betrothed to a noble named Elizabeth, and the job of being the one to snuff out things the Queen didn't trust others in power to do.

The brand on Ciel’s eye was easily hidden with an eye patch, but the emotional and physical scars would take a long time, if ever, to heal. He became cold and tactical.almost overnight, and he didn't let anyone besides Sebastian see him vulnerable. He went to his duties, all the while planning how to find and eradicate the ones who had killed his family. Despite his young age, Ciel was determined to have his revenge and every choice he made from the day he returned was akin to a chess move. Sebastian was Ciel's most powerful.piece in the game against the one who had killed his family, and he had no intention of losing. For two years, Ciel and Sebastian ruled the underworld in exchange for information pertaining to other cases, a blind eye turned to illegal holdings and business as long as the person was deemed useful. Several cases followed that tormented Ciel, though he dared not to show it to anyone. The case of the serial killer known as 'Jack the Ripper' and the case of the Noah's Ark Circus stick most clearly in his mind, even in his present day life as a demon. Jack the Ripper had been a combination of his own aunt, Madame Red, and her red clothed butler, Grell. His aunt's hatred of prostitutes who had thrown away their pregnancies bringing her to a kind of bloodlust killing over and over. The case with the circus known as Noah's Ark hit a deeper chord in Ciel, one that he thought he had locked away.

A nobleman had been using children to find special children, and when the reveal of what was happening came to light, Ciel was trapped between what he and his brother had endured, what one of them had died under, and the closed off, methodical young man he had become since Sebastian had arrived in his life. In the end, he didn’t have much of a choice, choosing to kill anyone involved, and ordering Sebastian to kill the children in cages, recognizing the broken look. It was one he did every day, but he felt it nonetheless. Whatever happened for many years eludes Ciel, the noble too focused on refusing to show the weakness he allowed Sebastian to see the night they burned the manor down. But when there was a turn of events that led to Ciel himself somehow becoming a demon, the young man - now 18 - was dumbfounded to say the least. There wasn’t an end for him, he would forever have to endure the weight of so many emotions. The only plus side to it all was Sebastian, who now had little choice but to remain at Ciel’s side. Things were rocky at first, but a kind of deal came out of it. Sebastian couldn’t take Ciel’s soul, but the two had a kind of business with pleasure arrangement. There weren’t necessarily emotions involved, but there are few Ciel would trust to see him as vulnerable as Sebastian has.

So turns out there was another person in the Re-Tail shop the entire time!

Seungcheol is like, “Hey, just to catch you up, this cutie is our new mayor and they don’t like the color of their bed. Work your magic.”

And Jeonghan gives you a once over before smiling at you and is like, “Yes, I’m going to make your house the most adorable thing in town.”

You follow him back to his workshop where he’s like, “Gimme the bed.”

And you hand it over and ask for a yellow gingham pattern

“No.”

“I’m sorry???”

“You should be. Go get me an ore, Cutie.”

You’re confused but Seungcheol is like, “Listen to the man.”

So you bring back an ore and Jeonghan has this pink gingham pattern laid out and you’re like, “Are you sure?”

“Shhhhhhhhhhh”

You watch as he pushes his sleeves up to begin working and sweet jesus the man sings softly while he works

A little while later you have a pink gingham bed with a light brown frame and you’re like, “I’m in love!”

And Jeonghan looks at you and goes, “mmhmm”

Soon you have cute pink patterns on all of your furniture except your plushy white furniture is now a light blue

Chapter 4: Bad Idea!

Since you had started being more affectionate and open with Soonyoung, things had gotten quite a bit better for you. You still thought about Cyrus everyday, but now when you thought of him, you didn’t feel as guilty. And you no longer felt like there was this… giant barrier between you and your current mate. It was like you heart of stone had finally thawed itself out and you could now enjoy what time you had left on Earth. Which, for all you knew, could be only for a short time more…

You were all lounging about on the couch in the living room. Seokmin and Chan were arguing over who should get the single love seat they had found, Seungcheol was laying his head on Seungkwan’s lap napping as he conversed with Joshua and Mingyu about this weeks scouting missions. And you were now sitting in your mate’s lap as he laughed with Hansol and Jun about some joke you didn’t quite understand, it was probably something sexual as per usual. Everything was as it should be. Everyone was happy with the way everything was.

His pack had accepted you now too, which you didn’t necessarily have to have happen to be with him, but it felt good to know that they actually wanted you around. It was strange. They treated you like a sister.

You hadn’t even thought the word in such a long time that it sounded foreign to you. Sister. And they were now your brothers. Brothers. You finally had a real family again. It was… kinda nice.

For once in centuries you weren’t a lone wolf. You were in a pack. And you had a mate. Everything was perfect. As you gazed around the room, you couldn’t help but let a small smile lay on your face from sheer content.

“Hey (Y/N)” Wonwoo called for your attention after muttering under his breath for a while from near the kitchen floor where he and Jeonghan were playing with some sort of ball game they invented.

You shot your head up from Soonyoung’s soothing heartbeat to reply to your packmate, “Present!” You joked aloud causing Seungkwan to snort from somewhere near your right.

“I need you to settle something for me: Do you know how to levitate?” Wonwoo questioned a bit louder than he probably needed to.

Now it was your turn to snort with laughter, “Levitate? Who the hell said I could levitate?” You giggled, hearing a vibrating sound come from Soonyoung’s lungs as he joined you in chuckling at his brother’s weird ass question that seemingly came from no where.

“Well, no one really. That’s my point. JEONGHAN thinks that you’re able to levitate. I say that’s actually impossible. But since you’re some sort of fancy old timey wolf, he refused to take no for an answer because we don’t know much about what you can and can’t do. So I figured I’d ask. Can you levitate?” Wonu finished while pinching the bridge of his long nose, clearly even aggravated that he even had to ask such a thing to begin with.

You bit your lip to hold in another hilarious outburst threatening to spill out from your mouth, “No. I can’t levitate,” you declared in front of all the boys to set the record straight once you regained your cool, “I can do a bunch of things, but levitating DEFINITELY isn’t one of them. I’m not even sure that’s possible.”

“SEE I TOLD YOU!” The younger wolf hollered at Jeonghan, who was now had practically the whole pack laughing at him.

“Hey! It’s not MY fault! How am I supposed to know what she can and can’t do? She’s never told us before and we’ve never seen any of it before. For all we know, she could grow to ten feet tall!” He insisted with a playful frown on his face, noticeably embarrassed at his thought.

Soonyoung howled a chuckle out before he spoke up in defense of his alpha, “Okay guys, to be fair, I, her own MATE, have no idea what she can do. Can we really blame him for wondering?”

Jeonghan huffed to everyone while crossing his arms in defiance, “Exactly! See I’m the NORMAL one. The rest of you are dickheads.”

“Aww Hannie, don’t worry. I’ve heard weirder things before. If it makes you feel any better, I think there was a wolf who could make objects levitate, just not themselves,” you insisted, wanting the other wolf to feel less ganged up on.

Seungcheol lifted his head from his mate’s lap, “Alright, so what CAN you do exactly?” The alpha questioned out of curiosity, figuring it was as good a time a any time get an answer from you once and for all.

You thought for a split second before answering, wondering how you should explain your situation to them in the least confusing way possible, “Okay well, most wolves like me had just one power like you guys. But I’m a bit… a special or different case I guess…” You trailed on.

“Different how love?” Your loving mate pressed you further as he wanted some sort of elaboration into your illusively vague answer too.

“Well my mom wasn’t exactly a ‘normal human.’ Sure she was mortal and all but she was a shaman with a lot of power. Because of that, I have more abilities than I probably should… though they’ve always been… aye What’s the word? Fucky? Yeah, I think that’s right?” You say with a bit of confusion behind your tone as Korean wasn’t your first language and you weren’t sure if you had throughly gave them the correct answer you had intended to.

Everyone seemed to take what you said in and processed the information. But everyone was just as lost as you were on the topic. The fuck did you mean by fucky??

Mingyu being the adorably weird boy he was, was gracious enough to ask for a better understanding, “Fucky as in like- doesn’t work right? Or fucky like as in you like fucking?”

A roar of laughter followed suit and you face palmed yourself for even giving them that dumbass opening for a joke, “Okay no! So totally not what I meant! Not fucky! I mean my powers are limited and spotty! Not that I love to fuck! Christ,” you screeched at your newly found pack hoping to get the immature men to die down. Of course they didn’t.

With a chuckle behind his voice, Hansol replied to you, “I think you meant wonky.”

Jolting up further you began vigorously nodding your head, “Yes! Yes I meant wonky! Not fucky!”

“So just out of curiosity, how many people HAVE you fucked (Y/N)?”Jeonghan snickered while nudging on with the conversation, forcing your cheeks to turn cherry red.

And to think you were actually feeling bad for the Little fucker just minutes ago and tried to soothe his ego.

“How about none of your business! Plus aren’t you one of the ones that goes into town like once every two weeks to ‘get supplies’ when we all know you’re just hooking up with whoever’ll suck your dick?!” You retorted his little sneer at you with a humph.

You were just PRAYING the other boys didn’t notice how hot your face had become from the insinuation. Just because you accidentally said the word fucky didn’t mean you meant to or that you felt comfortable talking about your uneventful sex life.

This caused the wave of giggles to accelerate into chokes of chuckles as they fall to their sides or crumpled over. They had never heard you speak such profanities aloud, nor had you joked around with one of them so openly before. They were both shocked, impressed, and proud just as much as they were amused by your words.

“Hey dont slut shame me!” Hannie scrunched his nose up, “Besides, it’s not MY fault women find me irresistible.”

You couldn’t help but join in on the other wolves fun at his comment. Was he actually fucking serious?

“Aya! Who do you think people find more attractive numb nuts, the mysteriously gorgeous foreign girl or you? Think before you speak bro!” Wonwoo smacked his chest playfully.

While Jeonghan hated to admit it, he knew objectively people probably found you more attractive. Hell, he found you more attractive. But he couldn’t down right admit it. So he opted to just stick his tongue out at you in retaliation, to which you did the same thing back to match his energy.

“Still, she’s a hot female werewolf. She’s probably had to go into town a few times here and there over the years to blow off some steam when she was in heat. Either way there’s no shame.” Jihoon just had to add, causing your mate to all but snap at him with his fangs out.

“Can you stop talking about my mate’s sexual habits please!?!!” Soonyoung snarled at all the boys to shut them up.

It wasn’t that he wasn’t okay with you sleeping around before, he had done so himself up until he met you. You were 600 years old for heaven sakes. And now that he even knew you had a mate before him, he figured that you had in fact been with more than a few people.

But that didn’t mean he wanted to hear about it. And that definitely didn’t mean he wanted his pack to talk about his mate like she was a piece of meat. The jealous wolf inside him was boiling at the mere thought. He just didn’t want to fucking think about it and he needed them to shut their mouths.

The room fell silent for some time. No one had really ever thought that Soonyoung, one of the dirtiest most sexually charged members in their group, would’ve had a problem talking about sex. Yet low and behold, here he was, ready to bite the head off any one of them that dared to keep the conversation about it going.

To an extent, they sort of understood. If it were any of them and their mate was the one being talked about in such a manner, they probably wouldn’t have wanted to speak much on it either. But they didn’t think he’d get THAT upset THAT fast.

Finally after what seemed like hours of silence, Joshua was the first to break the ice, “ANNYYYWAAAAYYYS… what did you mean by your powers being fucky (Y/N)?”

You were actually quite grateful to the other boys for changing the subject.

You didn’t want to talk about the previous discussion anymore than your mate did… for… certain reasons, “I mean they’ve always been sort of… messed up. I’m supposed to be able to do all these super cool things that my mom could do. But when I was young, our tribe’s healer told my parents that I was born lost or something? I dont know i can’t remember exactly. Something about my wandering spirit and part of my soul needing to be made whole or restored again? It didn’t make sense to me when I was young so I didn’t really listen. Kinda wish I had now though for obvious reasons…”

“Oh shit. So you’re like- broken then?” Chan asked without even thinking about how the question could be taken.

You personally knew that the pup didn’t really mean it in a mean or negative way, he was just a kid compared to you after all. But your very aggressive and moody mate definitely didn’t think it was meant in good fun.

He wasn’t just upset, he was beyond PISSED. Not only did they bring up the probability of you having slept with other people right in front of him, but now they were seriously insinuating that something was wrong with you? No, not on his watch they weren’t!

“She’s NOT fucking broken! She’s perfect the way she is so how about you all shut the hell up!” Yup. There was the hot headed rash wolf the boys had been telling you about.

Though you weren’t necessarily scared of his temper because you knew he would never hurt you, you were worried about some of your new found brothers and their safety. So you made it your mission to try and calm things down.

You twisted around to stare up at him so you could better see him, “Soonyoung, it’s fine-” you tried to ease your now fuming mate down to no avail.

You didn’t like seeing him so angry. The more angry he got, the more offended you got.

“No! It’s absolutely not fine! They just need to stop fucking talking!” He gave them a death stare before quickly picking you up bridal style and bringing you upstairs to your shared room in a huff, leaving his brothers downstairs with confusion written all over their faces.

After a few moments of awkward deafening silence, Seokmin spoke up for the first time that morning, “Sooooo… is his rut coming up or something or did one of you plant a stick up his ass?”

Soonyoung all but threw you on your bed and slammed the bedroom door shut. You heard a fast clicking sound coming from the door handle, signaling that he had switched the lock secured so no one could bother either of you.

“What the fuck was that about??” You angrily questioned your mate while flinging your hands in the air to vent your frustration.

He was still facing the door with his eyes closed and his fists clenched tightly. He was trying really hard to keep his cool, but he couldn’t help what was happening, Though you didn’t seem to understand what was going on.

“What was what about?” He quizzed casually, finally seemingly letting his irritability go so he could turn to face you.

You scoffed at him, “You know what Soonyoung. What the hell was all this-” you gestured around you to clarify you meant your sudden departure from the fun of downstairs to the isolation of your bedroom, “-About? We were having a good time. I don’t understand what’s wrong with you or why you’re acting this way!”

“Nothings wrong with me.” He folded his arms over his toned chest and focused on controlling his breathing. In one, out two, in three, out four. Stay calm. Everything’s fine. You’ll be fine. Just breathe through your mouth and you won’t do anything you’ll regret.

“Bullshit!” You exclaimed, standing up from your spot on the bed to get closer to him, “You snapped and lost your shit down there and I wanna know why!”

He wanted to grab you and bend you over the bed already. You smelt amazing and the fact that you worn a tank top today that exposed a good portion of your cleavage was absolutely NOT helping his case. Breathe.

“I got upset. I’m fine now. Can’t we just drop it?” Your mate seemed to force himself out of whatever trance it was he was in as he took a seat near the pillows on your shared sleeping space.

“No! I wanna know what the fuck is going on with you.” You now stood in front of his new position to gain his full attention, something you hadn’t realized you already had in spades.

But you weren’t gonna back down. You weren’t gonna just let his outburst go. He knew that. But God, he wished you just would for your own sake. He didn’t want to ruin everything he had worked so hard to build with you by bringing his problem up. He didn’t want to scare you away. Besides it would disappear on its own eventually. He just had to last until then. If only you would just keep back from him a few feet.

He took in a deep sigh and shut his eyes tight. He could feel the heat begin to radiate from them as they turned crimson red over having you so close to him.

It had been like that for two days now, and he had been doing well at keeping himself in check. But it had been getting progressively worse as time went on with the more you kept to his side. His brothers joking with and talking about you about something he craved to do with you so much just pushed him over the edge. He couldn’t help it. It was his instinct.

He reopened his glossy red eyes and looked back up at you, much to your shock. Why the fuck had his eyes suddenly changed? What the hell was going on? You gave him a confused gaze that finally prompted him to answer your aching questions.

“(Y/N), I’m starting my rut okay? I’ve been trying to hold it off and seem like all’s all well and dandy with me, but it’s not clearly. I was doing okay but then they started talking about you sleeping around and I-” Before he even finished his speech, you immediately understood what was going on.

The red eyes, the angry outburst, the fact that he’s been extra clingy and protective of you. He was trying to hold himself back because he thought you weren’t ready to deal with something so intimate so soon into your new relationship and role with him. He was once again denying himself something all for your benefit. That fact alone made your heart jump out of your chest.

You swiftly cut off his comment before he could continue, “Soonyoung, I’ve never had sex before. I may be old, but I’ve never been interested in… that. Well… a-at least until I met you.” You shyly admitted while looking down at your feet, surely sending a surge of hormones to your mates already testosterone filled head.

His cheeks grew pink and his pulse began to race at what you were insinuating, “But- but you had another mate…?”

You positioned yourself next to him on the bed, giving a slight distance so that way you didn’t accidentally touch him in such a sensitive state, “I know I did. But when I lost him, I was young. Icyan wolves can imprint starting whenever they shift like modern wolves can. Except we start shifting practically at birth. Cyrus imprinted on me when he was five, I was only a few months old,” You tried your best to explain it all to him without it seeming too weird.

Because truthfully it wasn’t. There was no sexual nature behind your relationship with him, you weren’t old enough. He was like a big brother to you. Your protector. He loved you, but the two of you were never really IN love because you weren’t ready for that stage when you knew him.

“He only ever treated me like a best friend. I lost him when I was fifteen. And I do think I was set to start my heat relatively close to when Cyrus died but-” you paced yourself and looked down towards your hands, refusing to look your new mate in the eye while you spoke of your old one.

You took a deep breath in, “But when he died, it was like all time stopped for me. All the days and the years just passed by without me ever having known that was what was happening. And with his death, my reproductive cycle stopped before it even started.”

Soonyoung took in everything you said and processed it all. It seemed like something that would happen cosmically. Wolf instinct is to constantly procreate and protect. You had no need to do either when your mate had died, so it stopped you from doing so.

“I’m sorry baby. I didn’t know. I wouldn’t have- I shouldn’t have- gotten so worked up over it all. I’d normally be okay with it really! It’s just I’m- I’m rung up so tight right now. And I’m not usually like this even during my rut. You shook off any thought you were having or any old memories that got brought to the surface, “O- Oh. That- That’s another thing I haven’t thought to tell you. I had thought that my presence might- I mean- I- I think finding me is one of the reasons why your rut came as early as it did. I- I think I triggered it…” You said sheepishly, playing with your torn up nails so you didn’t have to look your mate in the face once more at the uncomfortable topic.

He ever so gently brought his hand up to brush against your soft cheek, trying to keep a safe enough distance so he didn’t just ravage you right then and there, “It’s alright baby. I’d rather deal with… all this with it being a little stronger than normal and know you rather than waiting for it to pass like I usually do without having ever have met you.”

You brought your line of sight back up to his. You were met with a very obviously pained looking mate. The small contact with your skin was sending him into too much of a frenzy yet he was once again trying to be a gentleman and comfort you. You felt bad for him. You couldn’t imagine how hard it must have been for him to be so close to you in his own time of need and not actually be able to do anything about it.

“You know Soonyoung… you don’t NECESSARILY have to go through your rut alone…” You trailed your voice towards the end of your sentence.

Your reply was definitely not something he was expecting, so it threw him for a bit of a loop. He couldn’t help but look at you in disbelief, “Wait- (Y/N), are- are you saying that-”

“That I’d like to help you with the problem going on in your pants? Yeah that’s exactly what I’m saying.”

He was beyond shocked. He would’ve honestly never expected you to actually WANT to help him out. He thought that you’d need quite a bit of time before you would be okay with such a thing. But hell, he wasn’t about to complain…
