Shattered Cyrstal - The shattering

Short story. This may become a series, so let's say this is part 1.

Warning: death, graphic imagery

Everything's a blur...

"Ugh.. everything hurts... what happened?" The large figure tried to get up. He winced in pain and held his side as he slowly sat on his knees. He held his head as his ears rang loudly through his head. He looked up to see the quart room, once white and gold, now in a red light. The stone pillars that were once decorated now were broken, chipped and cracked. Stone fragments laid on the ground along with the statues of past Light Priests.

His eyes slowly began to focus and the ringing in his ears ceased. "No... no, no, no..." Stone shards rained down from the sky as he got up, grunting in pain, ducking for safety. "The crystal..." He didn't believe what he saw. He had to look again. He had to see if his eyes were telling the truth. Peeking out from his safe cover, he saw it; red, violently spinning and shooting out shards. The same shards that were falling from the sky. The crystal that once was made of pure light, it was no more.

He leaned his back up against the pillar he was hiding behind, "this can't be... how?.." He noticed something odd amongst the broken stone as he was trying to recall the events that happened before this. He squinted his eyes to try and see more clear. His heart sank as he realized what he was staring at and then all his memories came flooding back to him. The events became clear in his mind before he was knocked out.

The screaming, he heard it now, all around him. His senses were heighted as his heart began to thump within his chest. A Light Priest was crawling on the floor, injured serverly, trying to get to cover when a shard fell from the sky and hit them. He witness the Light Preist get Impaled and turn to stone. He gasped as he looked around in panic. Remembering everyone who was in the quart room with him before the crystal shattered.

"Alef! ALEF!?" He left his safety as he desperately called out, "ALEF! MY SON! WHERE ARE YOU!?" He winced and limped, taking cover when he needed to. The shards were shooting out of the reddened and broken crystal in timed periods. "ALEF!" He called out once more. He traveld closer to the crystal where the shards became more frequent, "ALEF! AL- Alef...? Alef!" He ran to the stone body that bore his son's clothing.

"No, no, no, NO, NO!" His voice cracked and shook as he fell to his knees at the small cold stone statue body. He picked it up, "No! My Alef! This can't be! My boy..? No... my Alef..." He held the stiff body in his hands as he began to weep. His son was small enough to fit in his hands, but was larger than any other child of the kingdom since he was of royal blood.

He was out in the open and the shards fell on him, but he ignored the pain. The adrenaline was high and he didn't believe what he was holding to be his son, "This can't be you?... no, you were here! You were here..."

He held the stone body close to his chest, not wanting to believe it was him. But he still weped. The shards pelted him for a while before someone began to shout for him.

"MY KING? MY KING!" He didn't hear the strained small voice over his weeping and the sound of the shards hitting the ground, the pillars, the statues and so on.

"Oh my Alef, my sweet Alef..." He kept repeating.

"MY KING!" The small voice became louder as it came closer. He heard the voice and recognized who it was.

"He's dead..." He choked back tears, his voice not loud enough for them to hear.

"My king?..."

"HE'S DEAD! My little boy! My Alef, he's gone!" He cried out.

The small figure stood behind the hunched over king. They stammered, trying to speak and hearing how heartbroken he was, "King Resh, we need to get out of here. It's not safe."

Another figure appeared behind him, limping with a large battle spear in his hands, using it as a crutch, "My King, Lamed is right. It's not safe here, we need to get out."

"Tsadi... Lamed... where are the others?..." He turned to face them. He saw the both were injured, Tsadi more than Lamed.

"They are out of the storm and safe. We tried to rescue as many as we could while you were knocked out. We didn't know if you would even wake up..." Tsadi hesitated, "Alef... he refused to go to safety... He... He saved as many as he could. Your son was brave... and a true leader."

"My king, you're injured, we need to leave before it gets any worse." Lamed pleaded. Resh was silent as he held onto the stone body of his son. The giant king stood up to his full height, gripping his side under his cloak as he did so. He looked down at his two friends. The shards came down again, hitting his back. This time he felt it and grunted in pain.

"With the rest of my strength, I will get us out of here." Resh tucked away the small stone body of his son into one of the many pockets. He picked up Lamed and Tsadi as if they were just toddlers, and with what little light magic he had left, the king charge up his cape. As if his cape were a pair of wings, he used it to shoot up into the air like a bird.

The light magic he had left was enough to keep them in flight until they were able to reach safety, where the other injured were taken. King Resh landed, stumbling before letting go of Lamed and Tsadi. He felt light headed and his vision faded to black before he fell over. When his body hit the floor, the ground beneath everyone shook.

"MY KING!" Tsadi yelled, "GET A HEALER OVER HERE, NOW!" Tsadi went up to Resh. He noticed strange dark shards coming out from the king. He didn't like the look of them. At least 3 healers ran over to the king to come to his aid.

Tsadi backed away as the healers began their work. He sat down on a stone bench and held his head. Lamed sat right next to him and placed a hand on his arm, "you should get looked at, you are far worse than the others."

"I won't be looked at until everyone else has been taken care of. Including you." His tone was soft but stern.

"As you wish..." She left and went to any available healer. Tsadi watched as the many healers frantically went forth and back to as many as they could. People were howling from sorrow and loss, others cried from pain. It heart is heart to hear all the pain. He spotted the other Realm Elders being treated which somewhat put him at ease.

Tsadi stood up and limped his way to a healer to be looked at. Daleth had watched Tsadi arrive with Lamed and the King before he had fainted from the injuries he obtained. Daleth's arm was broken and placed into a sling that hung from his back. The old Realm Elder slowly made his way to Tsadi and sat right next to him as he was being treated. Tsadi took notice of Daleth but didn't say a word. They sat together in silence as they watched the healers bring in an extremely large transportation boat for the king.

"Who knew this would happen..." Daleth broke the silence.

"Yeah... How are the twins, Teth and Ayin doing? Any bad injuries?"

"Broken arms, legs, ribs and concussions. The twins had to be sedated because they wouldn't stop moving while the healers tried to work on them." Daleth coughed and winced.

"Figures. They are young and don't know how to deal with pain like we do." Tsadi glanced at the old man while a healer was stitching his arm up.

"They could learn a lesson from you about dealing with physical pain." Daleth stood up.

"They could. But they wouldn't have the patience like I did when I went through my training."

"True. Take care, Tsadi. I'm going to aid the healers." Tsadi nodded as Daleth left. He looked up to the mountain the crystal was kept on. A violent storm was forming around it and he had a horrible feeling this was only the beginning of something far worse.

I've been sat on this one for quite a while (sorry - I'm super slow sometimes!)

But this is a great opportunity to have a ramble about one of my favourite sims, Crystal Vu! Here she is in sims 4 form.

Crystal often spells her name as Krystahl for business. She thinks it makes her come across as more professional.

She's not particularly interested in monogamous relationships. While she thinks of herself as quite the flirtatious presences about town, it's always the Curious brothers that she ends up with.

Crystal has casual relationships with both Vidcund and Lazlo. In my previous Strangetown 'hood she casually woohood with both brothers and became pregnant. Her baby was raised quite happily by both brothers!

Crystal runs a small shop on the main strip of Strangetown. She sells strange looking crystals that she finds near the infamous UFO crash site. She charges them where three leylines cross in Strangetown and whispers a prayer of good fortune into each one. Some of the smaller stones she fits into jewelry that she tries to sell online. She's still waiting to make her fortune.

Cyrstal isn't quite the full ticket. Her mind drifts on the breeze, and and quite often she'll meander into the desert. It's on these little trips that she finds her best stones. Vidcund is always concerned when Crystal doesn't show up for a few days, but she always finds her way back home. She says that she always has a light guiding her home.

I think my 2 favorite Ninjago side characters have got to be Mistake and Fugi-Dove.

Mistake is just, So interesting yk. She’s been in Ninjago since the time of the First Spinjitzu master so she’s ancient. Cause Wu and Garmadon are like 3 to 4 thousand years old and there’s no telling how long their father lived before he had them. Also, I have a hc that she’s actually been in the background of the main events the whole time the show timeline has been going. Bc her face print is/was used rather often as background characters. The same goes for her ‘never heard of it’ line. For example, in Tournament of Elements, there’s someone who looks and sounds like Mistake there when Garmadon and Wu banish the Anicondri Generals to the Cursed Relm. And, I belive she survived her fight with Garmadon in the Oni trilogy because someone with her face print is shown in a car fleeing the city just a few scenes later.

As for Fugi-Dove, I don’t have any major hc about him. I just think he’s fucking hilarious tbh. Every scene he’s in cracks me up and I find myself saying his lines all the time. He’s easilly my second favorite part of Crystalized too. (Garmadon is my first for obvious reasons lol) He’s comic relief done right, yk? I don’t find him annoying and even on god knows how many watch throughs now, he still makes me laugh. Especially after I found out that people thought he was a halucination Jay was having in the desert in Cyrstalized. Knowing that makes that scene so much more entertaining. I would love to see a Batman/Joker (from the lego batman yk) relationiship between him and Jay in the future. I hope he survived the Merg.

Fancy finger spell focus

So i had a Impulsive thought, what if in dnd, artifical finger nail spell focus. So how a person would craft this spell focus is similer to how someone makes the nails, but you use the spellfocus crystal, and add that into the nail creation. So now every time you cast a spell, youre new finger nails, may glow a color everytime you cast a spell, and since every nail has a cyrstal you can also choose what nail to use and glow.

For my character timere, they/maybe he) would have motions of his/their fingers and hands depending on the spell cast,

Example: He/they cast message, one nail glows green, he/they cast chill touch, 5 nails glow and he does an attack motion, and if he casts fear all nails glow as he slowly makes a bear claw like pose as the spell is cast to look intemedating

And then magic item wise you could also have spell imbuded finger nails that work like spell imbued tattoos

Thinking back to the time that when I used to count Ninjago seasons based off of the sets, so I thought that the Pilot was Season 1, Rise of the Snakes was Season 2, Legacy of the Green Ninja was Season 3, and so on and so forth. I finally got my head on straight around Day of the Departed, which would have been Season 8 if I had continued with that mindset.

To further understand my mindset, here's the current order of seasons:

nick's scowl deepened at alec's words, head tilting as he looked at him across the bar. of course alec thought he was nice. really nice even. crystal hues shifted towards nate and the others. after nearly a week in their lock up, it didn't take octavia long to spout off her mouth, suggesting nate could be useful to the gang. nick didn't trust it. couldn't trust him even though nate had been very compliant. bellamy had the final say and when asked for his opinion, nick begrudgingly agreed. realistically with their expansions, they could use another member.

"don't tell me octavia told you to say that," he shook his head, glancing back down at his inventory log, making notes here and there before he tossed the pencil down. that wasn't entirely fair to alec but nick made no apology, just grabbed two glasses to pour himself a coke, and a drink for alec.

"all right, i'll bite, he seems nice, sure. that's great and all," and it is. nick was always saying the group needed more balance that alec often brought but...he'd meant to their friends. not his gang. "but we don't really know anythin' about this guy and now he's just going to be here, hangin' out with all the people we care about? nah, i don't trust it for a second." nick kissed the back of his teeth with a tsk before he leaned against the bar on his forearms, taking a sip of his drink.

with a heavy breath, cyrstal hues lifted to alec's hopeful eyes. "i don't know alec, am i just reading into all this cause of all the shit we've been through?" he asked genuinely this time, gaze drifting back towards jasper, atom, and nate all seemingly getting along just fine. probably. but who could blame him? every time they seem to allow themselves the pleasure to be comfortable, they're blindsided. they're hurt. "seems to me like someone's gotta keep their guard up 'round here, but sure, he seems nice and all."

Night time was quiet, and they didn't say much on the way home at first, not until reaching the crystal. They were both taking the long way around it seemed, and they didn't mind. "So… you said Makoto yeah?? Isn't that far??" He knew the seas pretty well, and Makoto was a tiny island, but also surrounded by many powerful countries. A little trade hub, last time he remembered the area. "I imagine you're missed…"

"…I miss them as well," he smiled. "But I need this time. They need this time. AFter everything that's happened, I need to learn what it is to lead… and I cannot do that as long as my father…" He shook his head. "Never mind… it would be much warmer there by now surely," he laughed.

"…" His father, eh? It stank of a rank ass ruler… and a child who was raised as he was told… He pressed his lips thin for a moment before grinning. "I'm sure… but it's nice here too… a little. It's growing on me.."

Sakura smiled, hands on his obi as they kept walking. Talk of the island, of the seas and pearls… of the flowers and the festivals… they left his mouth easily, his compainion more than happy to listen, to watch his face light up. The same look he gave when they were at the cyrstal. He was someone who simply… loved people. More and more rare.

"Here we are…" Sakura grinned. "Thanks for… keeping me company. It's been nice."

"Thanks for saving me earlier… and for showing me around. I'll see you tomorrow maybe??"

Sakura blinked in surprise. "Ah-- y-yes!! Okay!! I will…" He blushed a bit at his sudden outburst then, and looked away.

"Tomorrow then…" He reached out, moving some hair from the other's face. "G'night, princess…" he smiled before walking off.

If anyone spoke of the rouge on his cheeks, he would stubbornly attribute it to the cold.

A secret that is kept to us - Chapter 5/?

This is one of many archived fanfics featuring 1st and 2nd generation K-pop acts that I've come across recently. It's all in good fun, and maybe a bit cringeworthy! Just to clarify, I don't post fanfics, so I hope to the people that post and read K-pop fanfics makes sense.Credits go out to the original creator 90s_love.

Characters:

Kim Jaeduck, An Seungho (Tony), Moon Heejoon, Jang Woohyuk, Ahn Chilhyun (Kangta), and Lee Jaewon from H.O.T., alongside Eun Jiwon, Lee Jaijin, Kang Sunghoon, Ko Jiyong, and Jang Suwon.

Summary:

Dark Moon is trying to target the rest of H.O.T and Sechskies.

Chapter 5 - Targets:

Seungho and Jaeduck can't seem to take a break. Dark Archive's soldiers were everything, wreaking havoc across Seoul. After leaving them powerless, they leave the scene and make sure that the police arrests the soldiers.

"That's 10 times this week."

"I need a break."

"We all do." Ange, Crysta and Selena were preparing drinks.

"Thanks. I wonder why they're being so active these days."

"I wonder too."

Then Jaeduck remembers something.

"Uh, hyung. Remember Dark Moon's plan?"

"To get our members. Wait. You don't think..."

"It's just a distraction to capture them."

"We'll have to make sure."

The next day, Seungho went to work and to his relief, the members were okay. He just needs to keep him safe. But how? With a fake ransom note.

"Guys. We have a problem."

"What is it, Tony?" Heejoon asked.

"I found this note in the mail. It's from Dark Archive."

"Dark Archive?! The terrorist organization?!" Everyone was surprised.

"Yes and we're their next target."

"What do we do?" Jaewon was getting worried.

"Don't worry. We'll be safe. As long as they don't find us."

"Easier said than done. We're national stars." Woohyuk reminded him.

"Oh..." That was a setback.

Meanwhile on Sechskies side, Jaeduck also made a fake ransom note and showed it to the members.

"So, we're targeted?" Jiwon asked.

"Yes. We have to be careful."

"What do they want from us?" Suwon asked nervously.

"I don't know but I know one thing. This is not going to be pretty."

"You said it." said Sunghoon.

During another battle against the Dark Archive soldiers, Selena couldn't stay put at the house. She wanted to help Angel White and Cyrstal Light but she knows that Juhong would find her if she does.

"So, here you are."

"Juhong! I..."

"This is your punishment. Alter my ego."

"NO!"

Juhong transformed into Dark Moon and attacked Angel White and Crystal Light.

"Ah!"

"Why are you doing this? We're on the same side."

"We're not on the side of evil!"

"We're not evil. We just want to the world to be ideal."

"Ideal in what way? This seems ideal except for Dark Archive exsisting."

"Well, I mean business. See you later."

"Wait!" Angel and Crystal left the soldiers powerless and tried to get to their respective companies. Seungho ran to SM Entertainment to see if they're okay. But he was too late. Dark Moon had got there first. Jaeduck didn't have much luck either. Both H.O.T and Sechskies are captured!

"Hello, hyung? We're too late. They're gone!"

"Jaeduck, calm down. We'll find them."

"But we don't know where Dark Archive's base is."

Then Ange had an idea. "Crysta and I can sense Selena's presence. We can use that to find the base."

"It's worth a try. Meet us at the park."

Sechskies woke up and sees that they're in an unfamiliar place.

"What is this place?" Jiwon then realizes he and the others are in confined capsules. 

H.O.T also woke up in the same room, also in confined capsules.

"What are you doing here?" Heejoon asked.

"That's what we want to know." said Jiwon.

Then Dark Moon entered the room.

"Well, well. Looks like Project World can continue."

"Project... World?" Jaijin remembers his conversation with Angel White and Crystal Light. "Why are you doing this?! This is INHUMANE!"

"Oh, you don't know the whole story. Angel White and Crystal Light were also part of this project."

"WHAT?!" Both groups were surprised to hear that.

"But they defected while the scientists completed the experiment on me. And now, I can complete the project." 

"We won't let you!" Woohyuk shouted.

"But you can't." Then, Dark Moon flipped a switch.

"AH!"

A few days passed. The news of H.O.T and Sechskies' disappearance made headlines. But they missed the detail that Seungho and Jaeduck are the only ones safe. Jaijin now realized that Jaeduck is not there with them.

"Where's Jaeduck?!"

"What?! I'm one short?! Here too. There's supposed to be 11 captives!"

Selena's presence lead Seungho and Jaeduck to a large building. 

"This must be Dark Archive's base."

"Now what? We'll stand out."

"Or maybe we won't."

They attacked two of the bodyguards and took their uniforms. Ange and Crysta kept sensing Selena and they lead Seungho and Jaeduck to a strange door. They knocked on the door.

"Come in."

They heard Dark Moon's voice and went in the room.

"Oh. What is it? This should be important!"

"Ange."

"Crysta."

"What?!"

"Alter my ego!"

They transformed in front of Dark Moon.

"YOU!"

"Let them go!"

"And I won't. Not until Project World is complete."

As Dark Moon was about to attack, he was suddenly stopped.

"What?!"

"It's Selena. She's rebeling."

"No! Don't!"

After so much struggling, Selena managed to break free and went to Angel and Crystal.

"Selena! You dare to betray me?!"

"I already betrayed you when I was born!"

"Still, I have the capitves. Project World will continue!"

"No it won't!" Angel used his feathers to break the capsules and freed H.O.T and Sechskies. "Get out of here."

"What about you?" said Jaijin.

"We'll be fine." Crystal reassures him. Then, he runs away with the others.

"Why are you doing this? I told you, we're on the same side."

"Juhong. We don't want to work for evil purposes."

"But this is not evil."

"Not evil to you. But to the world, this is heinous."

"Heinous, huh. I'll show you what's heinous."

Then Juhong shows little balls of light above the destroyed capsules.

"This is..."

"Yes. They're unborn friend spirits."

"No! Friends spirits are born from their hosts' deepest desires. Not extracted from them in a hurtful way."

"Why... WHY?!" Crystal's eyes and hair glowed and attacked Juhong.

"Ah!"

"Crystal. Calm down! I know you're mad but this isn't the way."

This was the first time Crystal went berserk. As he continued charging up, he unknowingly flipped a self-destruct switch. Then, the entire building exploded. Good thing H.O.T and Sechskies were already out.

"No... It can't be..."

The Wretched Existence of an Unloved Child

Part Four - Striking Eyes, Cut Through Me like a Diamond

"Do you want something to eat?" Naomi asked her son, the tension in the room could be cut with a knife. It was the first time she had seen him in five years, and she had scarcely seen him in the eight years before he went missing.

"I've eaten enough, thank you," he said. It did look like he had eaten. When he was younger he always was very lean with dull eyes that made him look slightly malnourished. It wasn't something someone would easily notice, but a mother knows.

It was probably from his diet, he ate well enough but he was very picky. Aelius always pushed the importance of a good diet onto everyone around him, but when it came to his own he would only eat very specific things. Apples, red meat, berries, and melons is what his diet mostly consisted of. His vegetable of choice when forced to have some was corn, and he ate a few potato products as well. He would rarely drink anything but white milk or fruit juice, and the few times he drank water he gagged as if he were allergic. A very specific pallete.

Now he looked completely healthy, one might even say too healthy. His hair looked like strands of gold and his eyes were cyrstal clear, a bright blue that looked like diamonds when the light reflected off of them. His skin had darkened into a bronze and his hair, which he normally straightened, had reshaped to it's natural loose curls.

Claudia had left the room, dragged away by Chris to have a very private conversation. It was probably going to be a very angry one too. Aelius and Claudia had dissappeared five years previously, leaving behind their mother and Claudia's boyfriend to desperately look for them. The sanctuary they had been staying at assisted in the search, but had then been preoccupied by multiple attacks by mysterious entities.

Frustrated, Naomi sat her glass on the table a little too hard, and the noise it made echoed around the uncomfortably quiet room. "Where have you been?" she asked.

"It's a long story, one you wouldn't understand."

"Try me," she said as she crossed her arms.

"What even happened?" Chris said, "You can't dissappear for five years and then show up and act like everything is normal!"

"I- I just couldn't okay. I didn't have the courage to tell you, to explain things," Claudia replied.

"Explain what? You left. On purpose. At least that's what it looks like to me. Am I wrong? Tell me if something happened."

Claudia looked down, frowning to herself. She left specifically because she wanted to avoid this conversation, the one that would shatter how their lives were completely. "I hoped I wouldn't have to see you ever again," she said quietly.

"What?" he breathed, eyes glistening as tears formed. Such harsh words. She had never spoken to him like that before. Everyone else, yes, but not him. Never him, she had said. "Did you leave because of me?"

"No, but-"

"You should have told me, you could have told me anything. I would have understood."

"You wouldn't have."

"Every day, for five years, I have looked for you. My life ended when you left, I dropped out of college. I lost contact with all my friends. Naomi and I only had each other. I layed in bed in the rare moments when we slept in motels, and just wished to see you again. I dreamt only of you. I became something completely different than I was before, for you!" His voice shook with each word, and tears began to fall as he failed to hold them back.

On instict Claudia reached out, cupping his face with her hand, and wiped the tears away. Chris looked at her fully for the first time since finding her. Her hair was shorter, now only slightly below her chin, and it had grown out to her natural brown instead of the dyed blonde it was before. It was more lustrous too, she appeared to have gotten healthier in the time she was gone.

Her eyes were brighter, sharper than before. Her blue eye was crystal-like and the one that used to appear light brown was now a shining gold. Her skin was smoother, with the freckles that were scattered over it more pronounced.

But her touch was colder, her fingers were hard and felt akin to touching a ceramic pot. There was something off with her, but he was lost in her eyes before he could realize what it was.

All witches are born with one natural power. Witches can use their birth power without any outside help. The power can be drawn without using any of their energy. However, it still depletes their mana. Witches have a certain level of mana that grows as they grow. This makes older witches respected and seen as all-powerful. Witches can use other powers by using potions and spellbooks. When mana starts to deplete, the person will feel exhausted, or in certain spells, the person's life force will be consumed. Witches have a lower power level compared to most other species. Sorcery is when you can use a range of spells using magic right off the bat. Sorcery doesn't need any outside help to learn magic and such. Enchanters and wizardry need external things to use magic. Enchanters use runes and spellbooks, while wizards use objects.
