I've been making my own custom Magic the Gathering cards for a while now, but I started really getting into it this week and thought I'd post some!
Sorry for the blurry pictures, I really tried to get nice ones, but I have very shaky hands :_:
These are in chronological order, and the first three are ones I made earlier in the year, all the ones after are the ones I made this week
Hope you guys like them! I'll post more as I make them, but this is all I have as of now

Alright, trying again without a typo. Had this idea for a proxy and I didn't remember seeing one of them around, so rendered it quickly. A while since my last proxy

I have a new banner image!
In honor of me opening up commissions again, I decided to make a piece of my phyrexian-sona running a shop on Thunder Junction offering whatever bodily modifications other wanderers might desire. At first glance, the helms on the wall might seem like trophies, but they’re actually just examples of my craft.
I never do stuff with this much of a background, so I’m really happy with how this came out. It was pretty time consuming though, so idk when I’ll do another piece like this. Let me know what y’all think!
A friend of mine made a custom card for me too! Feat. an obligatory reference, because I couldn’t pass it up (or think of anything funnier)

More custom cards! After someone pointed out to me that the solid color mana was hard for colorblind people, I've started trying to add the little symbols into the color costs. They're hard to make look right, since it's very small, but I'm doing my best

I'd been meaning to do more Wizard Tumblr Magic cards, but hadn't gotten around to it, but I… finally did, I guess. Anyway, here's a card featuring @wizard-eater.
I realized I'd forgotten to include the holostamp in the earlier cards, so I added that this time, and I figured I probably ought to include the URL of the Tumblr user the card is inspired by, so I did that too… although I'm not really happy with the placement; I'm going to try to figure out a better place for it.
(I do still intend to set up a Neocities page and put these cards, among other things, there, but I, uh, haven't gotten around to that yet either.)
As usual, this card has not been playtested, and I have no idea whether it's anywhere near balanced.
[OOC I haven't been on Tumblr in a while because I'm currently at Gen Con, and it's keeping me very busy. (For those who don't know what Gen Con is, it's a big game convention in Indianapolis.) I figured it would be thematically appropriate to post another Magic card while I'm here and managed to make time to do so, but I probably won't make another post until Monday when I'm back home.]

All That Remains
Unfortunately, fear is real. Bad news for anyone who's managed to wrangle a consciousness in their heads anytime in the last few lifetimes, innit?
Let's say that I've been feeling a stroke or five of fortune's weirdnesses here and there recently. Sometimes it's minor, and sometimes it's debilitating. Weirdly enough, I'm a human being, and that being said: "this kinda sucks." When you're down in a game of Magic, though, you've got some ways to turn it around. Board states get clogged and you can threaten back. You can reset your opponent with cards they don't expect. You can rally the troops and go wide, go tall, go crazy.
What's that mean for you, then?
Design a card that, flavorfully and/or mechanically, utilizes the concept of HOPE.
And I want to leave this contest open-ended. Perhaps you think of a time in your life where you needed hope that can translate to a card. Maybe you can call to mind a board state that feels hopeless that you can reverse. Or, maybe there's this story beat where you want to depict a character's grappling with hope, or ways where hope is uniquely represented. I just want to feel it.
I want you to use this contest and really show off your authenticity and emotional connection to your players. Anyone who sees this card should understand that, whatever it's doing, it's meant to evoke that belief in the future.
Something new, perhaps. Hope you enjoy.
