DC X DP PROMPT #20
Danny has been captured by parents who thought that they could 'fix' him. They thought he was possessed.
Their fix? Capping all emotions. It wasn't a lobotomy per se, but it was quite close to it. The Fenton's know this isn't a long-term fix, they are looking for something more permanent. Which is what led them to a Wayne Charity Gala in the first place. The Drs. Fenton are seeking funds to make a mirical cure for their obviously sick son. No, they can't tell you more about it (not here at least). If you want to find out more you can donate and come to their next seminar.
Danny is sickly and devoid of all emotions, this sets off some red flags for the bats, regardless of what the boys parents are saying.
#dc x dp#dpxdc#reveal gone... medium???#its not good but hes not dead!! or cut open!!!#dannys parents love him so much but they are so biased against ghosts#they are looking for ways to unghost their child#their current solution is to make danny wear a spector deflector and inhibit his emotions#since ghosts are made of those#and now he no longer shows up on their sensors#so problem temporarily solved!!!#right?#:)

aaaahhh i forgot about my project here!! well since im here, here's...
Internet PSA #2, Scams!
Whether it be via email, social media, or tumblr asks you should be suspect of offers of money, or requests to donate to causes.
Unfortunately people who would like to exploit you are out there! And this isn't something new either! Scams over the internet have been going around ever since the public first had access back in the 90's.
How can you protect yourself? Well, for example, if you get a ask on tumblr, (or dm on other media platforms) requesting to donate to an urgent cause, perhaps someone claiming they need help buying their insulin, do some investigating into their account.
Look out for inconsistencies with their name/family member names.
Look at date stamps on posts. Does it look like they posted 50+ things in one day? Are reblogs/reposts coming from seemingly random points in time?
Is there a lack of other posts? or do they perhaps reuse the same post over and over?
Look into the site they use for donations, does the location match with where they say they are? (eg: "I'm close to g@za" but the donation site says texas.)
And same goes for offers of money
Do. Some. Digging!
And remember, NEVER give someone your debit/credit card numbers, and never give someone the password to your paypal/cashapp/chime/etc.
And definitely don't donate to someone without verifying first that they're not posing as someone else/a made up person.
As much as many of us would like to have faith that people are genuine, do look out for people with not-so-honest intentions.
That's it for today! See you next time and remember,
Be safe while you browse!
#internet safety#internetsafetyweekly#internet#safety#internet psa#net safety#important psa#psa#be safe#keep yourself safe#advice#life advice#internet advice#the weekly psa#(off schedule but it is what it is)#don't worry about the sensoring on the current world event#i literally got a scam bot because of this post containing it 🫠

I've only recently picked up the H-3 Nozzlenose (because for the longest time I thought I'd be awful at it) but it's honestly crazy just how fun it is
I haven't had so much fun with a weapon in a while. It is so satisfying I swear
The sound for the direct shots... both their kits... the way you can continuous fire by timing inputs right... fucking around
Wish I could put my Splatoon thoughts into words. I love this weapon
#i cant decide if i like vH-3 or H-3D better#im honestly finding H-3D a little more fun because of how defensive it is#but i have a mild point sensor bias. and cooler is like. THE special currently#but H-3D is such fun to play#for a very long time from the start of the game til only like 2 months ago i fully believed I'd suck at this weapon#hell even noob me back at the beginning held such harsh opinions such as “why would ANYONE play this”#ohhh you fool. you silly motherfucker. this is the most fun youve had in a while#its funny. every weapon i thought I'd hate at the beginning is like. my main now#splatoon#Gameplay//#<- guess it goes there

thinking about what a kensa squiffer would've been like...
#splatoon#splatoon 3#toni kensa#splatoon oc#minatoast#lizzy does art#hi everyone. i can already hear the comparisons to what game this looks like. LMAO. u can tag it as that if u want.#wanted to do limited color kind of thing. i think i did a little bit of cheating though (tone scrapers + some slight airbrushing)#if it's not already apparent... toni kensa is my favorite brand in splatoon LMAO im just!! obsessed with them#and i think it explains a lot about the visual aesthetics that im drawn to#it was fun to draw like this!!! i think i want to try like actual greyscale and not just b/w + accent only at some point#also when will they give squiffer a second kit!! i would humbly like an inkjet or trizooka as it's special#i think that it'd be really nice for squiffer to be able to poke longer range weapons and whatnot#i like the current kit it's a classic but i'd really like to have better entry tools what am i supposed 2 do with point sensor#ANYWAY!! im having fun with art :) im going to try and experiment with color and shapes!! hpoefully. u all stay swag!

i am In Love with this goofy chuckle dannie lets out sometimes when i tickle them....but none of my other furbies have it!!
is there a tickle voiceline available only in earliest releases? or does it have to do with her still speaking lots of furbish? i'm assuming it's the former since charlotte has the Forever Speaking Furbish Only curse and she never laughs like that
#there's some other details i noticed about them that my other furbies don't have#honestly she's currently my favorite to play with#my only problems with dannie are her sensitive light sensor and one of their ears not moving#also she gets hungry a lot#furby#furby fandom#safe furby#furblr#furby 1998#dandelion fluff the flower child

AH I REMEMBERED WHAT I WAS GONNA SAY EARLIER but it's kind of stupid, lmao.
So my partner is getting into brewing beer and I got them a Tilt, which is a Bluetooth hydrometer. It measures specific gravity and temperature, which are things you want to know so that you don't kill your yeast or whatever. Except the sensor's Bluetooth range is super short, and it basically runs via a phone app, and the temperature we're logging currently is the crawlspace, accessible via the staircase closet. So they were like, wait, what do we do about this, because I can't leave my phone in the closet, that's my alarm clock.
In a kind of ridiculous turn of life imitating art, I was like, hold up, I got just the thing right at my desk. Bam. Old phone. We just needed to scrounge up a charger because the battery is so dead that after charging just enough to power on it claimed it was at 53% (to be fair to it, there is a very real chance that it's correct, and it just holds no charge at this point so the capacity is just THAT low) and now it lives in the closet logging sensor data.
And I was like, you know...didn't I just solve a major story detail with a much larger version of this...yeah, no, this is all vaguely familiar somehow, power supply issues and all. Kind of cool that the concept works though. Kind of weird that it came up at all?
We are not gonna talk about the fact that I still have at least two more ancient-ass phones in a drawer where that came from because look, man, sometimes you just need a camera/mic/mini computer with Bluetooth and wifi that fits in a pocket, and people just get rid of these things, but not me. I actually could build a shitty security system out of them if I was reaaaally inclined. I mean. I'm not. But it's technically possible.
For real though, If I pick up any stupid maker projects I still high-key am thinking about slapping Bluetooth into a necomimi headset and running that through an Arduino and learning to code just enough to let me skip songs/change the volume on Spotify with my brain, because it's entirely doable, and I mean yeah I could do that on my phone remotely too, but that's not funny, now, is it. I'm just not sure it's $350+ of parts funny. Kind of a big investment just to prove the point that haha look I am the extremely ADHD type of lazy where I would rather solve a problem via the most convoluted and complicated Rube-Goldberg type ass machine way possible rather than just perform a single simple action.
YEAH I'VE BEEN THIS SCATTERED ALL DAY AND I REALLY SHOULD GO TO BED SHOULDN'T I. I started playing Satisfactory. Mistakes were made. I'm going to dream about conveyor belts again and I did it to myself...
#you know I used to mostly blog about witchcraft and paganism#and now I'm like. you know what I want to do? chain an EEG sensor to the Spotify API and skip songs with my brain.#it's kind of like magic when you put it like that. maybe things haven't actually changed that much after all#the headset idea actually came about bc I'd gotten so far into the writing zone that I literally just. tried to skip a song with my brain.#because I had so much reploid characters on my mind that it just sounded like a normal course of action I should be able to take#obviously it didn't work and cue me sitting there for a full 3 seconds going 'why didn't it. wait. why did I think it would?'#followed immediately after by 'YEAH BUT I PROBABLY COULD DO THAT ACTUALLY'#because you just Cannot write a character like Glitch without it rubbing off on you a little bit and WWGD kicked in real hard lmao#well obviously he'd [ridiculous chain of ideas ending in 'anyway I installed some shit and now I can control Spotify with my mind']#and I gotta say I do not like the idea of sticking a sensor on the *inside* of my skull. sounds very bad.#but it doesn't have to be on the inside to work soooo there's that!#I have a friend who for quite a long time had a rare earth magnet in one finger so he could find live wires by touch#he ended up removing it for work eventually but when I say I was jelly. man. but also kinda squeamish about it.#I do not like sharp things and I am Very funny about my fingers as an artist/writer/used to be musician.#but man that sounds cool. I want the magnet senses. I don't think I want them enough to have a magnet under my skin though#I think I wouldn't use them enough for that to be helpful actually lmao#anyway do I even need more senses? probably not. mine are already unfiltered and loud as shit.#'boy I wish I could sense magnetic fields' says idiot guy who can hear the mains hum even with no electronics currently turned on#like when the power goes out I can FEEL the fucking difference in the air and it's unnaturally quiet and kinda spooky#I do not think I need help on this front actually. I think I got it handled pretty okay lol

I just saw a post bemoaning everything being made wireless but on what planet can you not get a “good refrigerator or washing machine” without it “requiring internet connection” or a furnace/boiler that doesn’t have an app or a thermostat that isnt programmable? It becomes increasingly clear that no one on tumblr has been to a hardware or big box store in their life.
#I’ve never seen a network connected washing machine#the only refrigerators I’ve seen have been smart refrigerators that keep inventory and send it to an app and they’re luxury models.#you can get a white regular one or a French door without any bells and whistles easily#if your hvac tech is installing something THEN telling you there’s an app you have to have for it to work#then you didn’t ask enough questions and they’re upselling you because again. that’s a luxury feature.#there is no way in hell a boiler doesn’t have a thermostat anywhere because it needs a sensor to detect the current temperature#and thermostats are like 3-6 wires. they’re all wired. they need power.

thinking long and hard about the ballpoint nouveau kit has been making me go through every emotion humanly possible i want to know what it is so badly...
#splatoon#splatoon 3#splatoon oc#minatoast#lizzy does art#comic#IM THINKING SO LONG AND HARD IM SO#i was not expecting the octobrush to get beakon WITH ink storm which is literally ballpoint nouveau's kit in s2#it's hard for me to think that they'll do completely identical kits within the same season (emphasis on season because the new goo tuber-#shares a kit with the luna blaster neo). there are overlaps in special with both dynamo and stringer getting chumps-#so it makes me think that maybe bp can still get beakons? i think beakon's among one of the best subs that it could get#not that bp needs like. a god kit when the current kit it has is already so good but i digress#if for whatever reason they decide to make the new ballpoint have point sensor and reefslider/zipcaster im going to eat dirt and draw-#my guy doing the shinji chair meme. i hope they dont do that to bp </3#anyway thats all!! ive been working on stickers and i think i'll be halfway done with my first set of them by the end of the week#i hope you are all having a very swag week!! love you all!!
