Danny has been captured by parents who thought that they could 'fix' him. They thought he was possessed.
Their fix? Capping all emotions. It wasn't a lobotomy per se, but it was quite close to it. The Fenton's know this isn't a long-term fix, they are looking for something more permanent. Which is what led them to a Wayne Charity Gala in the first place. The Drs. Fenton are seeking funds to make a mirical cure for their obviously sick son. No, they can't tell you more about it (not here at least). If you want to find out more you can donate and come to their next seminar.
Danny is sickly and devoid of all emotions, this sets off some red flags for the bats, regardless of what the boys parents are saying.

I've only recently picked up the H-3 Nozzlenose (because for the longest time I thought I'd be awful at it) but it's honestly crazy just how fun it is
I haven't had so much fun with a weapon in a while. It is so satisfying I swear
The sound for the direct shots... both their kits... the way you can continuous fire by timing inputs right... fucking around
Wish I could put my Splatoon thoughts into words. I love this weapon

AH I REMEMBERED WHAT I WAS GONNA SAY EARLIER but it's kind of stupid, lmao.
So my partner is getting into brewing beer and I got them a Tilt, which is a Bluetooth hydrometer. It measures specific gravity and temperature, which are things you want to know so that you don't kill your yeast or whatever. Except the sensor's Bluetooth range is super short, and it basically runs via a phone app, and the temperature we're logging currently is the crawlspace, accessible via the staircase closet. So they were like, wait, what do we do about this, because I can't leave my phone in the closet, that's my alarm clock.
In a kind of ridiculous turn of life imitating art, I was like, hold up, I got just the thing right at my desk. Bam. Old phone. We just needed to scrounge up a charger because the battery is so dead that after charging just enough to power on it claimed it was at 53% (to be fair to it, there is a very real chance that it's correct, and it just holds no charge at this point so the capacity is just THAT low) and now it lives in the closet logging sensor data.
And I was like, you know...didn't I just solve a major story detail with a much larger version of this...yeah, no, this is all vaguely familiar somehow, power supply issues and all. Kind of cool that the concept works though. Kind of weird that it came up at all?
We are not gonna talk about the fact that I still have at least two more ancient-ass phones in a drawer where that came from because look, man, sometimes you just need a camera/mic/mini computer with Bluetooth and wifi that fits in a pocket, and people just get rid of these things, but not me. I actually could build a shitty security system out of them if I was reaaaally inclined. I mean. I'm not. But it's technically possible.
For real though, If I pick up any stupid maker projects I still high-key am thinking about slapping Bluetooth into a necomimi headset and running that through an Arduino and learning to code just enough to let me skip songs/change the volume on Spotify with my brain, because it's entirely doable, and I mean yeah I could do that on my phone remotely too, but that's not funny, now, is it. I'm just not sure it's $350+ of parts funny. Kind of a big investment just to prove the point that haha look I am the extremely ADHD type of lazy where I would rather solve a problem via the most convoluted and complicated Rube-Goldberg type ass machine way possible rather than just perform a single simple action.

I want the magnet senses. smartphone options these days are absolutely fucking absurd.
i truly don’t care about much of the specs and newest shiny camera options or whatever, i just want to upgrade from my ~5 year old phone to get something
with decent storage (or at least the capacity to add a micro SD card)
compatible with the phone plan i want
not some cheaper/knock off brand that it will be near-impossible to find good case/accessories for
isn’t the size of a small fucking tablet and is comfortable to fit in my hand/pockets
has a FUCKING audio jack instead of requiring a godforsaken adapter piece hogging the charging port
#apparently the next model series up from my current phone is the last samsung style to still have an audio jack?#which would still leave me with a 4 year old phone and like. that's fine i guess if i NEEDED a new phone#but there's not much sense in upgrading if it's just to the next series#also the storage and RAM on the galaxy s10 isn't THAT great#but literally anything after that is obnoxiously large. doesn't have the storage i want. or has done away with the audio jack altogether#and like. the fingerprint sensor on my phone is so fucked anymore and it's started having a lot of small glitches#and i just wanted to upgrade since i want to switch phone plans anyway#except my only options require me to make SOME kind of sacrifice on features i want :/#fuck the smartphone industry and give me back my goddamn audio jack#it's not like i don't have bluetooth headphones i just hate being forced into that choice#misc

took solea for a quick potty break and the light was so pretty. i tried taking a photo on my phone but the stupid iphone hdr clarity crispifier 3000 thing that you can't turn off ruins all the photos and gives every photo a certain feel to it that i don't want a lot of the time. anyways. when i saw it i was struck by how the light glowed so warmly on the weatherproofing paper on the new construction building and the cool blue shadows on the other side, witht he bright green new leaves of the tree in front of it. and i immediately knew it would only translate on film. and i was like alas... i got back inside, and i was thinking. and i was like yknow what i will only take a moment, i can just grab my camera and take photo on film. so i did! i hope it turns out.

I just saw a post bemoaning everything being made wireless but on what planet can you not get a “good refrigerator or washing machine” without it “requiring internet connection” or a furnace/boiler that doesn’t have an app or a thermostat that isnt programmable? It becomes increasingly clear that no one on tumblr has been to a hardware or big box store in their life.
#I’ve never seen a network connected washing machine#the only refrigerators I’ve seen have been smart refrigerators that keep inventory and send it to an app and they’re luxury models.#you can get a white regular one or a French door without any bells and whistles easily#if your hvac tech is installing something THEN telling you there’s an app you have to have for it to work#then you didn’t ask enough questions and they’re upselling you because again. that’s a luxury feature.#there is no way in hell a boiler doesn’t have a thermostat anywhere because it needs a sensor to detect the current temperature#and thermostats are like 3-6 wires. they’re all wired. they need power.
