Found out a guy in our class was a zorua. Apparently it was a cheery always chatting leader of the football team. We kind of had to pretend nothing happened bc at this point they might as well just stay around and our school has no better football players.

Wait, I remember also a rumor goin' 'round a few years ago about one of Team Plasma's leader being a Zoroark on disguise. Is that a thing they can do?? Can they actually imitate human speech or is it an urban legend?

My troupe is gonna do our Mardi Gras parade session this upcoming Tuesday!! This is my blorbo, Caius Lennox/local drag queen, Clover Clarke, prepping his performance, ready to be the Queen of Carnival. I've got a few surprises in store for everyone (even our Storyteller) so I'm super excited to get this rolling when it's showtime. I can't believe I've been playing him for almost 3 years now.

I had like 4 different ideas for his horrid t-shirt, but this was my favorite. (Others I didn't go with were: "Sluttiest Boy in the Morgue", "Fangboy Hooters", "C*nty Dracula" and "Toreador by blood, Bitch by choice." (Feel free to steal, but I take no responsibility for any Serious Talks with the Sheriff one may have about Masquerade breaches; wear at your own peril))

I'll post Clover's dress for the show soon too, there's a big outfit and several layers/reveals mapped out.

(I even have a narrated walkthrough of his lip synchs/choreo; am I too extra? Can you be too extra with a Toreador? Not this one, at least.)

I've been asked to join the social media team at work. And I thought, okay, why not.

Had the first meeting today, with a visiting social media expert who talked about what the social media landscape looks like right now, predictions for the future, and how to stay relevant.

..why do I like Ikrie. The question might as well be - what don't I like about Ikrie, or.. why do plants like sunlight. She's warm, her existence nourishes me, she comforts me.

I like her because she's Ikrie.

She takes her fears and doubts and shoves them deep into a glacier crack, together with her grief. She forsakes the ways of her people if they do more harm than good, she's not afraid to ask for help or offer it. She knows the value of shared burdens and past grievances laid to rest.

I don't know. I guess Ikrie (like Aloy and Beta, each in their own ways) represents parts of myself that I've done my best to nourish and grow, and some that I still struggle to come to terms with.

I like that she's her own person, that she knows what she wants and when to take some time to process before she proceeds. I want the best for her because she's been through a lot and she deserves love and rest and calm (and all the excitement and thrill she might want).

I don't know who you are, anony-mouse, but I think it would be easier to understand if you come hang out and ask more specific questions. I promise I don't bite and I'm always happy to chat about my fandom faves. I'd have done more of that lately but a big work project kinda ate up all of my time and energy, and I'm still recovering from that.

thoughts on horror movies?

It largely depends on the type of horror. Pointless jump scares are dull, and unneeded. Gore-fests do not bother me particularly, but I can not watch them with Cykes-Dono, as it is upsetting to her. though Fool-bright and I do enjoy picking apart inaccurate scenes in them, it's amazing how many ignore how blood actually works.

Phycological horror is, at times, a fascinating exploration of the human mind. To plunge into the abyss and see what lurks underneath. Unfortunately, it is not always as easy to climb back out. For this reason, I tend to steer clear except for occasional films, lest my paranoia become crippling. Of course, that is only if it is done well, not poorly. A poorly written film is easily cast aside.

That said, anything with faces disappearing or being removed is not welcome in our home.

I would be interested in hearing your thoughts, and if you have any you particularly like. Are you a great watcher of these films?
