हमाम के बाद अब मुबारक मंज़िल पर संकट: आगरा की विरासत खतरे में
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Read the full article

3D Scanner System Solution Based on FET3576-C Embedded Board
3D scanning, an integrated technology of optics, mechanics, electronics, and computing, captures 3D coordinates and color information of object surfaces through non-contact measurement, generating high-precision 3D models. In game development, 3D scanners have significantly enhanced the realism and detail richness of game scenes, characters, and objects.
The production team of the popular game "Black Myth: Wukong" spent a year using 3D scanning to create precise 3D models of real Buddhist statues, temples, and rocks across China. These models not only provide rich materials and inspiration for game designers but also ensure the authenticity and detail richness of game scenes. By capturing real-world 3D data, every detail in the game accurately reproduces historical features, enhancing the game's cultural depth and artistic value.
Not only in the gaming field, but 3D scanning systems, with their high precision, non-contact measurement, and digitization characteristics, can also contribute to the preservation and restoration of cultural relics. The fire at Notre-Dame Cathedral in 2019 attracted global attention. Prior to this, Notre-Dame Cathedral had already undergone comprehensive data recording using 3D scanning technology. This allows experts to use this data to carry out precise repair work after the fire. In addition, it can also be widely used in surveying and mapping engineering, industrial manufacturing, architectural design, education and scientific research and many other industries.
Tumblr media
The 3D scanner, as the core component, is responsible for data acquisition and conversion. It consists of a probe, lens, and camera. The probe collects surface patterns without contact, the lens adjusts the probe position and viewing angle, and the camera converts captured images into digital signals for further processing like denoising, stitching, and optimization.
Hardware implementation faces several challenges:
Complex data processing: Limited by onsite conditions during data collection, processing can be complex, requiring extended post-processing like noise removal and mesh reconstruction, demanding high-performance hardware.
Compatibility issues: Incompatible hardware and software designs for point cloud data processing across different manufacturers hinder resource sharing and conversion, increasing learning and technical difficulties for users.
Environmental sensitivity: Lasers and optical systems are sensitive to temperature changes, requiring frequent calibration and affecting efficiency. External factors like temperature, humidity, and vibration can also impact measurement accuracy, necessitating strict environmental control.
High cost: The hardware cost of 3D scanners is often high, potentially leading to increased product prices and affecting market competitiveness.
Forlinx Embedded recommends using the FET3576-C embedded board as the main controller for 3D scanners. Based on the RK3576 processor, the FET3576-C is a high-performance, low-power, feature-rich, cost-effective solution tailored for AIoT and industrial markets. It integrates four ARM Cortex-A72 and four ARM Cortex-A53 high-performance cores, with a 6TOPS powerful NPU supporting various operations and deep learning frameworks.

Faith and Sovereignty First
The world is changing at a rapid pace, but that doesn’t mean we should sacrifice timeless values in the name of progress. As a Christian Conservative, it’s important to reaffirm what is sacred: the natural family, rooted in tradition, biology, and faith. At the same time, it’s vital to recognise the growing tide of ideologies that challenge this foundation, especially those that come from the LGBT lobby and proponents of gender ideology.
Let me be clear: there is a distinction between affirming the dignity of individuals and opposing powerful lobbies that seek to redefine core institutions of society. Respect for sexual identity whether people agree or disagree on matters of orientation is one thing. However, pushing an agenda that distorts the natural order through gender ideology is another entirely. We must stand firm in rejecting the idea that biological facts can be erased in favour of fluidity that brings chaos to family, education, and society at large.
No to Islamist Violence, Yes to Secure Borders
The rise of Islamist violence across the world presents an undeniable threat to Western civilisation. Europe, in particular, has witnessed terror attacks in major cities, often by individuals who exploit open borders and lenient migration policies. This brings us to the second part of our discussion: the need for secure borders.
National sovereignty should be paramount. A country has the right and duty to decide who enters and under what conditions. Mass migration has not only threatened Europe’s cultural and religious identity but has also strained economies, worsened crime rates, and created ghettos where integration seems nearly impossible. In saying "No" to Islamist violence, we must also be bold enough to say "No" to unregulated, mass migration. This is not an issue of race or prejudice, but of practicality and the preservation of order.
We have to acknowledge the security risks that come from unchecked migration. It's not about denying people a better life; it's about ensuring that those who come in share the values of the country and are properly integrated. I wholeheartedly agree with the Italian PM Giorgia Meloni where she said she is in favour of a  naval blockade to halt immigration.
No New World Order
Another concern that remains front and centre for Christian Conservatives is the dominance of big international finance. While globalisation has promised economic benefits, in reality, it has allowed giant corporations and financial institutions to concentrate power. We must stop the World Health Organisation dictating to us what is good and bad for us. I mean look around you what happened under the lockdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic.  I shall always stand against this crazy notion of a one world government or should I say one world socialist government like in the book 1984 by George Orwell. If you haven’t read it. I strongly encourage you to do so. It’s an eye opening. Even better read the Book of Revelations in the Holy Bible from the King James Version.
Defend What Matters
In a world increasingly gripped by confusion, where long standing values are challenged by new ideologies, we must defend what matters most: the natural family, secure borders, and national sovereignty. We must push back against movements and institutions that erode the integrity of our societies whether they come in the form of the LGBT lobby, mass migration, Islamist violence, or big pharma etc. Do not be afraid to stand alone in this fight.
At the end of the day, this isn’t about hate or division. It's about preserving the identity and security of nations, families, and individuals. If we don’t stand firm on these principles, who will?
The time has come to say "Yes" to what is right and "No" to what threatens our values, freedom, and future. Let's not be afraid to fight for a world that honours the natural order, secures its borders, and protects its people from the forces of chaos and control.   It does not matter how small you are as long as you have faith and a plan of action.

The Story Behind Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Trust
India's rich cultural and spiritual heritage is deeply intertwined with the reverence of cows, which have held a sacred position in Hinduism for millennia. Protecting and nurturing these divine creatures is seen not only as a religious duty but also as a way to promote harmony with nature and support sustainable living. The Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Trust was established with this very mission in mind—to safeguard and preserve India’s indigenous cow breeds while promoting ethical and sustainable practices that benefit the environment, agriculture, and rural livelihoods.
The Genesis of the Trust
The Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Trust was founded in the temple town of Tirupati, a place revered for its spiritual significance and home to the famous Tirumala Venkateswara Temple. This sacred connection has shaped the core philosophy of the trust, which views cow protection as an act of devotion to Lord Venkateswara.
The trust’s journey began as a response to the alarming decline in the population of India’s native cow breeds, driven by the rise of industrial farming and exotic, high-yielding cattle. Recognizing the ecological and cultural importance of indigenous cows, a group of passionate devotees, environmentalists, and community leaders came together to form the trust. Their aim was clear: to protect the native breeds, promote sustainable agricultural practices, and uplift rural communities dependent on cattle for their livelihoods.
The Mission and Vision
At its core, the mission of the Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Trust is “Gau Seva”—service to cows. This encompasses not only the physical care of cows but also the spiritual and cultural preservation of India’s relationship with these gentle animals. The trust strives to protect and nurture indigenous breeds that have been historically adapted to Indian climates, ensuring that they continue to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
The trust's vision extends beyond just the protection of cows. It aims to foster a symbiotic relationship between cows, humans, and the environment. Through this, the trust envisions a future where traditional farming practices are rejuvenated, rural communities are empowered, and ecological balance is restored.
Key Initiatives of Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Trust
1. Goshalas for Indigenous Breeds
One of the primary functions of the trust is to maintain Goshalas (cow shelters) where native cow breeds are housed, cared for, and nurtured. These shelters are more than just places of refuge; they serve as centers for education and research on how to improve the breeding, health, and management of these cows. The trust currently shelters thousands of cows across several facilities, ensuring that even unproductive or aging cows receive lifelong care.
2. Conservation of Native Cow Breeds
India is home to more than 40 recognized native cow breeds, each uniquely adapted to local conditions. Unfortunately, many of these breeds are on the brink of extinction. The trust is committed to the conservation and revival of these endangered breeds, focusing on selective breeding programs that aim to preserve their genetic purity. Through partnerships with research institutions and veterinary experts, the trust has developed effective breeding practices that ensure the survival of these valuable breeds.
3. Organic Farming and Panchagavya Promotion
The trust actively promotes the use of cow-derived products in organic farming. Indigenous cow dung and urine are essential ingredients in Panchagavya, a traditional natural fertilizer used in organic farming. This holistic approach to farming is not only sustainable but also helps improve soil fertility, reduce dependency on chemical fertilizers, and restore ecological balance. The trust encourages farmers to adopt these practices, providing them with training and resources to switch to organic methods.
4. Empowering Rural Communities
A critical aspect of the trust’s work is its focus on rural development. By providing indigenous cows to farmers and training them in sustainable agriculture, the trust helps create livelihoods that are both ecologically and economically sustainable. Farmers are encouraged to engage in dairy farming, organic fertilizer production, and natural pest control methods, all of which are rooted in traditional practices. This empowerment creates a self-sustaining cycle of growth and support within rural communities, reducing poverty and promoting economic resilience.
5. Education and Awareness
Education is at the heart of the trust’s efforts. Through workshops, seminars, and outreach programs, the Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Trust spreads awareness about the importance of cow protection, organic farming, and environmental conservation. The trust works closely with schools, universities, and agricultural organizations to instill a sense of responsibility toward indigenous cows and their role in a sustainable future.
The Spiritual Significance of Cow Protection
For the Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Trust, cow protection is not just about environmental sustainability or agricultural productivity—it is a spiritual practice. Cows are revered as sacred beings in Hinduism, symbolizing non-violence, selflessness, and the nurturing aspect of nature. By protecting cows, devotees believe they are directly serving Lord Venkateswara and ensuring the prosperity of future generations.
The trust integrates this spiritual philosophy into its daily operations. Many of the goshalas have temples where regular prayers are offered to the cows, and festivals like Gopashtami are celebrated with devotion. The spiritual dimension of the trust’s work serves as a powerful motivator for both its members and the broader community to engage in cow protection.
Looking Toward the Future
As the Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Trust continues its work, it faces both opportunities and challenges. With growing awareness about the environmental and ethical issues surrounding industrial farming, there is renewed interest in the revival of indigenous breeds and traditional agricultural practices. However, the trust must also navigate the practical challenges of scaling up its initiatives, securing funding, and ensuring that its message reaches a wider audience.
The trust’s leadership is optimistic about the future. With a dedicated team of volunteers, supporters, and farmers, they are confident that their mission will not only preserve India’s native cow breeds but also foster a more sustainable, ethical, and harmonious relationship between humans and nature.
Conclusion
The story of the Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Trust is a testament to the power of faith, tradition, and community in driving meaningful change. By championing the cause of cow protection and sustainable agriculture, the trust is playing a crucial role in preserving India’s cultural heritage while addressing modern challenges like environmental degradation and rural poverty.
In a world that is increasingly disconnected from nature, the trust’s work serves as a reminder that sometimes, the answers to our most pressing problems lie in the wisdom of the past. Through its unwavering commitment to cow protection, the Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Trust is leading the way toward a more sustainable, compassionate, and balanced future.

The Unlikely Origin of Surfing: Peru's Ancient Reed Boats
For over 3,500 years, fishermen along the Peruvian coast have been riding the waves using a unique form of surfcraft: the caballito de totora. In the northern Peruvian village of Huanchaco, these reed-bound boats, known as caballitos or “little horses,” have been a vital part of the local fishing culture.
Tumblr media
The caballitos, crafted from tightly bound totora reeds that grow in freshwater ponds, have been a staple for Huanchaco’s fishermen. Their distinctive upturned bow allows them to navigate the often turbulent Pacific waves, helping fishermen reach their fishing grounds and then surf back to shore. While modern surfers are drawn to the area for its challenging waves, the caballitos represent a traditional surfing method that predates contemporary surfing.
Despite the global belief that surfing originated in Hawaii, evidence from the Chan Chan Museum near Huanchaco and the Larco Museum in Lima suggests that Peruvians used caballitos for surfing as early as the 7th Century CE. Some ceramics on display even depict people using these boats to surf, fish, and transport prisoners.
Carlos Ucañan Arzola, one of Huanchaco’s last remaining caballito makers, emphasizes the importance of totora as a traditional material. "Totora is traditional and ancestral," he says, noting that the reeds have been integral to local fishing and surfing for centuries.
Caballitos measure about 4 meters long and can carry up to 100 kilograms. While they are lightweight when dry, their weight doubles after a day of fishing. These ancient crafts, however, are becoming scarce due to the encroachment of commercial fishing, coastal erosion, and pollution, leading many Huanchaceños to shift towards tourism or migrate elsewhere.
Despite the challenges, local pride in the caballito tradition remains strong. The boats are not only used for fishing but also as a symbol of Huanchaco’s heritage. Some locals have started offering rides to tourists, sharing their ancient surfing practice with visitors. These rides, which cost around 50 Peruvian soles (£10), provide tourists with a glimpse of the traditional craft while helping to sustain the local fishing culture.
As modern surfboards become more popular, the future of the caballito de totora remains uncertain. However, the tradition is preserved through ongoing efforts by Huanchaco’s fishermen to honor their heritage and introduce new generations to this ancient art.
Marina Quiñe, a marine biology professor, notes that the caballito de totora is both a historical and living tradition. “In Huanchaco, there is a community that’s remarkably proud and conscious of their past,” she says. The preservation of the caballito, both as a fishing tool and a surfing craft, continues to depend on the dedication of its practitioners and the support of the local community.
For now, the caballito de totora stands as a testament to Peru’s rich maritime history, bridging the gap between ancient traditions and modern surfing culture.

Empowering Local Communities: The Key to Economic Resilience
The Role of Local Communities in Economic Resilience Hello, dear followers! Today, I want to highlight the essential role that local communities play in fostering economic resilience, particularly in a world that is constantly changing. As we face various challenges—be it economic downturns, environmental shifts, or societal upheavals—it is the strength of our local networks that often determines how well we can adapt and thrive. Local communities are uniquely positioned to understand and address the specific needs of their members. They create a supportive environment where individuals can collaborate, share resources, and develop solutions tailored to their unique circumstances. This grassroots approach not only nurtures social bonds but also cultivates local innovation, allowing communities to bounce back more effectively from adversity. In Scotland, many community initiatives exemplify this resilience. From local food projects to co-operative businesses, citizens are taking charge and redefining what economic success looks like in their areas. These initiatives often prioritise sustainability and inclusivity, ensuring that everyone has a stake in the economy. Such endeavours can also mitigate the impacts of external economic forces by keeping resources and wealth within the community. Furthermore, local businesses contribute significantly to economic resilience as they often create jobs and foster local supply chains. They are more adaptable to changing market conditions and can pivot more quickly than larger corporations. By supporting local enterprises, communities not only strengthen their economy but also preserve their unique character and culture. However, for local communities to fully realise their potential, higher-level support from government and policy frameworks is essential. Policymakers should create environments that empower communities by reducing administrative burdens and providing access to funding and training. When communities have the tools they need to succeed, they can drive their own economic futures. As we reflect on these themes, I invite you to share your thoughts. How have local initiatives impacted your community’s economic resilience? What steps can be taken to support local businesses and organisations further? Your insights are invaluable as we explore the transformative power of community in economic resilience. Please share your thoughts in the comments below! Stay engaged and continue to champion the role of local communities in building a robust economy! Warm regards, Alastair Majury *Perspectives Unbound* --- *Follow Alastair Majury for further discussions on local economies, community resilience, and the principles that foster sustainable growth.*

Sustainable Tourism and Canggu's Vibrant Tattoo Scene
Tumblr media
Local leaders from Badung Regency in Bali recently gathered to discuss the potential establishment of tourism villages in Canggu district, responding to the area's rapid tourism growth over the past seven years. This surge in visitors has prompted concerns about preserving Canggu's cultural and heritage values.
Former Bali Governor, Made Mangku Pastika, advocated for recognizing Canggu's Traditional Village as an official tourism destination to manage it effectively and secure funding for cultural and environmental preservation. Pastika, joined by Canggu Traditional Village Head, I Wayan Suarsana, and Director of Baga Utsaha Padruwen Traditional Village, Ni Kadek Dwi Indah Paramita, highlighted the benefits of tourism while stressing the need for sustainability and improved living conditions for locals.
Paramita mentioned significant revenue generated by Baga Utsaha Padruwen Traditional Village since its establishment in 2022, contributing to village taxes. Waste management, a pressing issue, was also addressed by Suarsana, who outlined plans for waste processing and collaboration with entrepreneurs to make Canggu a model for waste management pending land acquisition.
Suarsana also outlined financial goals to increase the village's income for asset acquisition and economic improvement. Canggu's transformation into a tourism hub presents both challenges and opportunities for sustainable development, especially as Bali aims for culturally sensitive tourism practices.
The tattoo scene in Canggu is another aspect contributing to its unique culture and economy. Tattoo studios, known for their artistry and hygiene standards, attract tourists and support local artists. By promoting sustainable practices and Balinese motifs, these studios contribute to cultural preservation while providing employment opportunities. Integrating culture and sustainability ensures balanced tourism development in Canggu.
As Canggu evolves, its tattoo studios serve as examples of how creative industries can align with sustainable tourism, enhancing its appeal while respecting cultural and environmental values.

Religious heritage stands at a crossroads in contemporary society, struggling with shifting social dynamics and evolving urban landscapes. The masterclass on Religious Heritage (7th-8th March 2024) explored these challenges and opportunities in transforming religious buildings during secular shifts within our societies. Experts discussed the dominant role of religious heritage in urban contexts and its modern relevance in towering above the main cityfabric.
Central themes included changes in religious buildings' societal role as our identities become more liquid with an importance of vulnerability. Churches are urged to create spaces for human connection beyond rituals, aligning with core faith principles and take up their function of care for humanity once more. Discussion becomes central instead of authority.
The role of religious buildings in shaping urban social environments nowadays should put the focus on community engagement and inclusive spaces over dominating a neighbourhood and working with exclusion. Projects like the multireligious house in Bern showcase religious heritage's continued relevance. The speakers emphasized adaptive strategies to ensure religious heritage's vitality and relevance in diverse urban landscapes. By embracing secularization and fostering inclusivity, religious institutions can contribute to community well-being and social cohesion, preserving invaluable cultural assets for the future whilst fulfilling their spatial anchorrole.
~ The masterclass was organized by the Future of Religious Heritage initiative and the University of Bologna with sponsorship from the European Union.
