Hey, I shouldn't have to say this, but don't. Fucking "start a cult". Cults are inherently harmful, life ruining and traumatic things. They destroy everything they touch and are inherently manipulative and harmful. People die every day because of the actions of cults. I've known people who are cult survivors, I would say I am one too.

If you want a close knit group of like minded individuals in a structured format, you're thinking of a pack. If you're free to be yourself, leave, do your own thing, you're thinking of a pack. Don't co-opt language survivors use to discuss their experiences or cloak yourself in the trappings of something that does nothing but destroy and ruin. It's not cute, it's not funny, it's not rad. It's cruel, callous, and fucking disgusting.

excessive horny posts in the radqueer main tag. i get it, you (hypothetical hornyposter 'you' not reader 'you') "want to be abused sooo bad", but i really don't care? there are so many posts like that. just so many. and a lot of them arguably don't really have much relation to being radqueer

pro contact stuff

people who think pro contact stuff doesn't matter, or are like 'im complex contact cause i think you can act on kinks!!'

pro abuse (as in, people literally identifying as being "pro abuse" and such). i feel like this wasn't such a thing before.

phrases like "consensual abuse" and "consensual rape" and "nccnc / non consensual consensual non consent" becoming common-ish terms that people use even though we already have words like bdsm and rapeplay and cnc. it's needlessly oxymoronic and i find it annoying. personally "consensual rape" is the one i find the most annoying, "nccnc" is second, and "conabuse" is only slightly annoying (subjective opinion, just my immediate gut reaction).

mixed feelings:

hyperspecific mini-labels. on one hand i am not really interested in a lot of them... but when i see one i like, i am very happy. this one is more positive.

i feel like some radqueers see 'programming' (in a cult/RAMCOA context) to primarily be a kink thing when it was directly taken from cult survivors. i am not really sure how to feel about this. on one hand i think it's ok to be kinky about (and to have transIDs related to) dark topics, but it's also.. weird to see a bunch of posts like "uwu i want a sexy hot transharmful MAP to program me uwu im so abusable"

adding onto that, i think some people read "i'm a MAP" and think "they're looking to date an AAM! (like me!)" or see "I'm transharmful" and think "they're looking to harm a transharmed! (like me!)" when they might not be interested in that! i am not interested in e-dating, so a lot of peoples focus on it is weird to me. (this might also be a personal thing because i am a fictive and am generally uncomfortable with the idea of people sexualizing me because of my source, who was an evil stalker guy. like, i may be transstalker / transharmful / transcultprogrammer but that isn't an invitation for transstalked / transharmed / transcultvictim people to flirt with me.)

seen someone (who is an ex z*onist Jewish psn) talk about how z*onism is functionally a cult and like. Shit dude. Yeah. There are a lot of Chr*stian cults that form under the pretense that their religion is under threat (this is of course not to say that J*daism isn't under threat or imply that in any way, Becuase antisemitism is very much real) + the way z*onism functions is at the very a scholar. It's just something worth thinking about, I think. As like a possible part of an explanation of why z*onists are Like that. You are not immune to propaganda and definitely not to cult techniques of playing on your most profound desire for safety for your community to turn you into an instrument of violence against other people.

knowing that pebbleshines spirit was watching over her kits the whole time throughout avos (until her spirit is put to rest ofc) just makes what happened to violetshine even more heartbreaking like. its one thing seeing her experience all this trauma, but then imagine it from pebbles perspective: shes watching her daughter go through all this, getting separated from her family, being emotionally neglected, being manipulated by a cult leader, being forced to watch her loved ones die. and the whole time pebbleshine is there to see all of it and cant do anything about it. it breaks her heart to see her daughter this way and she cant even comfort her, cant even defend her from all the awful things happening to her.

in thunder and shadow, twigpaw is so determined to find her mother, and when she finds out shes dead, violetpaw shows no emotional reaction. she treats the fact that their mother is dead as if it was obvious, as if she doesnt care. and this hurts pebbleshine, obviously, but she accepts it. her daughters never really knew her. but she knows her daughters, knows them better than any cat, because shes been watching over them for so long. and they dont even know her name. and violet, who desperately just wants to be loved, has no idea that the cat who loves her and knows her so well is someone shes never even seen before. pebbleshine wants to give her daughter the love she deserves, but she cant. and that.....makes me feel even more Pain
