They are very loud.

Ebony and Ivory figures, clawing, scratching at each other. They will bite and kick until only one remains- and the other will destroy itself. But that is far away.

The Father does not mourn the three. He does not feel much of anything towards them. He couldn’t recall their faces if he tried. Such a pity.

The father is yet another cog in the machine, fine turned but yet rusty- spinning perfectly among others. The machine is oiled by the mechanic. The mechanic is not to be trusted.

Took a nap this afternoon and I had a weird dream involving strange humanoid monsters and just before I woke up one looked at me and said

“Sparkle sparkle in the black

The song of swarms will take you back”

And then I woke up. What the actual hell was that?

one thing that really bugged me reading tigerheart's shadow was the erin's inability to explore motivations without prophecies, there was really no reason to give dovewing cryptic dreams when she's already being iced out by her sister and attempting to go to jayfeather and lionblaze would just result in them going back to keeping her on a tight leash. i think her just not feeling like she has a place in thunderclan anymore and worries about her children's future is strong enough to understand why she'd want to leave.

So I have been cooking lately! Unfortunately though I'm still prepping the ingredients 😭 I've been working on a new au lately, because I am chronically unable to stick to one thing at a time, and life has all of a sudden gotten very busy, to my chagrin. So, the au is very much still on the chopping board as a rework multiple things to do with it.

However, I do have a couple things of note;

I am slowly chipping my way through the next chapter of 101-1, and its a good chunk of teh way through. Its gonna be, uh, very spicy, to say the least. I'd say about half of the second chapter 'By a Marigold I Swear' is finished already. The close same for chapter five of 'What to do when you fall in love with your god (A Guide)'- on top of that, there were various edits to the previous four chapters that have been completed and will be added to the next chapter update.

As for the latest au I've been working on- in case any of you somehow didn't notice, I am obsessed with Flippy's 'Puss in Boots and the Immortal City'. It consumes many of my thoughts, waking and not. So this next au getting broiled up in another one based on the same premise, though of course with my own twists because its no fun to just copy plot for plot. Its also inspired by the Skyrim DLC 'Dawnguard', to give a little clue on things to expect.

I did have a beginning sequence written (originally for a different au, but I do cannibalise things from aus I don't think I'll ever finish). Unfortunately, that sequence went missing, and I cannot find it anywhere, so I'll need to rewrite it from memory. Its not too bad, but the whole experience of searching for it and tearing my hair out was not fun, so I've been a bit turned off from actually writing lately.

You guys ever have a confusing ass dream and feel like you were just crushed by an 8th dimensional being? Fear and sadness and upset were not things in the dream but it was all SO overwhelming. There was a lot of other emotions too but joy was a major one. Just loud voices, laughter, dancing. So many faces and things happening all at once. It felt charged up like with electricity. Firey and horrible /pos and burning in my entire body.
