So today was kind of freeing for multiple smaller reason. The first one is I picked back a hobby of mine i had back when i was a kid, crocheting, i also enjoy knitting but at a lesser degree.

I'm currently making a sensory blanket for myself and decided to bring it with me while on the train. Normally being in public in general is SUPER stressful, i have to constantly fight off panick attacks and meltdowns but this time it wasn't as bad, even tho the train was PACKED.

Turns out crocheting is for me a great way to stim without making it too obvious, i haven't felt this calm in public before. I still was stressed, but it was bearable.

The second was i used/ asked to be called it/it's in the queer cafe/meeting house. I was a bit nervous because those where people where i wasn't sure if they react well to it. But turns out they where all okay with it! They had no problem and even said they would use only these since i prefer them even tho i gave them the option to use he/him because most people use it.

It's really cool and it generally gives me more confidence to only use these pronouns in all queer spaces and hopefully in non queer spaces one day :33

whilst he is an outwardly stoic and apathetic individual — cruel, even — this idea tends to be flipped on its head when he’s dealing with his spouse (or, as he would say, mate)

he’s aware of you being neurologically divergent even if the terminology didn’t necessarily exist at the time — he is a demon and they’re more observant by default

and he’s also keenly aware of how other mortals treat and perceive you — and willing to deal with them accordingly

being protective and territorial is in his nature, after all

he will indulge you in your hyperfixations and interests — for example buying you a book on ornithology or fetching you the materials you need to crotchet from the market

he does find it incredibly endearing when you stim, particularly when you flap your hands, but due to his stoic demeanour it’s incredibly hard to tell

he’ll ask you about the birds you see on your daily walks about the trancy estate — questions he already knows the answer to — just to indulge you

and he encourages (threatens) the other demons into following suit

if you crochet anything for him to wear he’ll also indulge you there, but only privately

like if you made him a scarf or a pair of gloves then he’ll wear them in your rooms and let you divulge him about how they were made (techniques, material, time, etc.)

but as he doesn’t want to damage these gifts or his reputation he’ll usually leave them in that private space

a butler needs to look a certain way and as wonderful as your gifts are, they aren’t in keeping with his uniform

he’s trying his best okay he’s just not good with the whole intimate relationship thing

he does make sure that you’re taking care of yourself when you’re fixated on something, though — bringing you food and water and making sure you sleep (or having hannah do so for him if he’s too busy elsewhere)

if anyone mocks you for your passions then they’re as good as dead — either claude will seek them out directly or he’ll send hannah/the triplets out to deal with them whilst he does the human thing and comforts you

Appearance: Young, around average height, stocky build with strong shoulders, and thick thighs. Shoulder length wave, dyed black, faded ends, green eyes. Wears glasses, prefers darker clothing varying from practical and comfortable to standard rock girl fare: boots, jeans, band shirt and jacket.

Occupation: Retail at a Outdoor and Hunting Store. (long story)

Family Members: Dad: Stephen, tragically and very recently deceased. (right in front of her). Mum: Alice. Alive but estranged but currently taking her daughter in. Also has secretive reasons for leaving that are plot/worldbuilding related. Paternal Uncle: Bazza (Benjamin), an absolute rough-nut of a human. Handles pest control on farms and shears sheep, helps manage livestock Kind of a nomad. Maternal Grandmother: Linda. Kat doesn't remember her Grandmother well or fondly. Might have something to do with that boatload of trauma.

Pets: Crocbait, knowns as Croc, Crocca, or "Absolute mongrel". Service dog for panic attacks, anxiety and PTSD and the like. Is a mutt, seems to be some combination of Blue Heeler (aussie cattle dog) and Labrador mix. The result is an energetic, friendly but fiercely protective companion that knows how to be adorable on demand.

Best friend: Back in Aus: Rachel - Roommate and bestie, athletic playing Netball on the weekends, degree in business and working at a call center to make ends meet. Taught Kat crotchet and his a small side business making crochet stuffies. In the US: Alex: Very neurodivergent, transman and just a practical nerd. Shoots for fun/hunting. Introvert, but sees a fellow outsider in Kat and offers the kind of friendship they wished they had. Strong problem solver and a stable rock.

Describe his/her room: More of a guest bedroom with en-suite upgraded. At one point her Mum hope she'd visit and use it so there's still some younger vibes, a few of Kat's favourite toys untouched for years and pale colours. Kat's touch is limited with darker bed spreads, personal photos and a books. It's early days yet and she isn't sure how long she's staying around.

Way of Speaking: Wry sarcasm, and quick wit, casual and slag filed until she's pissed off then it gets precise and impersonal and a little condescending. If it suddenly starts raining hard, she's likely to ask "Think it'll rain?" while getting soaking wet.

Physical characteristics (posture, gestures, attitude): Good posture, stims by rubbing her hands, along a scar from arrow fletching on her right hand. Jiggles her leg, bites her lip when anxious. Facial expressions tend to be subtle when she's not feeling something intense. Exudes physical confidence, holds herself upright, head high and a still developing "dont fuck with me" aura. Stares unintentionally. has the ADHD postural sway, and bumps into things a lot.

Relationships (how he/she is with other people): Shy and cautious at first but friendly. Uses humour as a buffer, and presents herself as easy going and calm. You know you're getting close when you start seeing the dryer sarcasm, the grumpy moods and she drops the "just like everyone else" mask that can and has creeped people out. With her trusted people, she lets her neurodivergence fly and is a weird, somewhat temperamental nerd dealing with a lot of guilt, grief, and suicidal ideation.

Fears: Deep running water, car accidents as the passenger, large "trucks/utes". Flooded roads. Meltdowns in public.

Faults: Reactive and temperamental. Her well read, well learned background lends to arrogance and condescension. She's working on both. Overly independent to the point of self harm, and a little too self deprecating.

Good points: Passionate, compassionate and genuinely kind. Strong believer that everyone has their strengths, that smarts is more than academics, and is generally warm, safe and protective of her people. Likes to uplift over tearing down.

Recently rediscovered little robots here’s some headcannons as usual these are my own thoughts you don’t have to agree and none of it is cannon this is just for fun

Sporty and noisy have adhd

Noisys songs are her way of stimming

Sporty spinning his rackets (ears) is him stimming

Stretchy, stripy, tiny, scary and Rusty have autism.

Noisy is loud because she has apd, auditory processing disorder she doesn’t realise just how loud she’s being the other learnt that telling her wasn’t much use and so go along with it

The sparky twins are the youngest of the little robots, sparky 1 is slightly older than sparky 2 though as mentioned in the show

Stretchy has ocd not only because he has a need to be organised but if he spins round one way he must spin the other to balance it out

Stretchy has a very VERY strict routine breaking it can easily cause meltdowns and things must be a certian way.

Sporty has npd, narcissistic personality disorder. She’s trying her best to combat it and the others are supportive of her

Scary only thinks he needs to be scary because of his name and how he looks but really he’s very jumpy and easily frightened and is rather ashamed of it. Hence the need to seem big and bold

Sporty is completely oblivious to rusty crushing on him rusty is oblivious she’s even often cosying up to him.

Don’t tell anyone but stretchy has a special little stuffie! It’s a little turtle with a looong neck (soft shell turtle) and it’s his biggest comfort item

Messy just.. showed up one day, no one claims him as theirs or anything he’s just everyone’s friend free to do whatever he’d like too

Spotty knits in secret, stripy crotchets openly and knows about spotty knitting so sometimes he goes over and drops off wool secretly to her

Stretchy does raptor hands but if he realises he quickly puts them down and denies he ever did it

Stretchy stims by clapping and stretching his neck and going “waaay!”

Spotty likes to think she’s the big boss but really, it’s tiny

+I personally think that Sora's age range is arouund 5-6 but has dropped to 2 a few times for no apparent reason

+Don't let his little age fool you though, he is still a menace when it comes to video games and I think that his favorite games to play when little are Animal Crossing and Unravel 2 (both of which he plays with Tsumugi, although Natsume's better at Unravel 2)

+Tsumugi isn't very good at video games and finds controllers difficult but he still tries his best to make Sora happy

+I honestly think that Tsumugi is a flip but a heavy cg lean and has only regressed once or twice

+ Tsumugi is the type to always have some form of baby gear on him in case Sora regresses though it's usually a pacifier! Although Sora uses teethers more

+Tsumugi knows how to crotchet and sometimes will make cute charms for Sora! And sometimes Sora likes to watch him knit or crotchet while on his lap because it's very calming to watch and often lulls him to sleep

+Sometimes, if Sora regresses while he's sad he'll go non-verbal but will also start to be really clingy, but Tsumugi is more than happy to hug and cuddle him

+When he's like this then he'll practically be glued to Tsumugi's side like holding onto his sleeve or hand while they walk or cuddling into his side if they're relaxing

+Sora stims alot! Sometimes, Tsumugi will parrot him on purpose occasionallly and the back and forth can go on for a while

+Sometimes Sora will steal Tsumugi's glasses just to goof, but he will put them back on his face after a few moments. Tsumugi pretends to be oblivious :3

+If Sora's ever overwhelmed or overstimulated, then Tsumugi will make sure to be mindful of loud noises or bright colors. He also has a sensory swing!

+Sora sometimes likes to wrap himself in blankets and leave only his head out. Tsumugi calls him a ladybug for it because,, he looks like one!

+Sora does play with the Switch dolls that he has, he talks to them too!

+If Tsumugi seems sad while Sora is little, he'll try and use the dolls as puppets to try and cheer him up and encourage him in his own way

+I think that Sora really likes otters so, Tsumugi got him an otter hoodie and a plush otter with a matching top as a gift!

+Tsumugi can't help but dote on Sora as he loves taking care of him when he has the time and Sora loves Tsumugi's presence and really isn't afraid to say it

Hey fiber artists with sensory issues

Things that make me happy are animal crossing new leaf, my dog Dolly, paint videos, finger spelling in asl, and crocheting 😊 I'm still learning how to crochet, but it's a good stim cuz of the yarn and the repetition of movement. V good I recomend 😄
