Crochet Checkers and Mushroom Tote Bag
Check out this whimsical Crochet Checkers and Mushroom Bag. Pretty unusual and generous to hold a crochet bag. Life is too short to be the same as everyone else. This is done in tapestry crochet techniques that partially hide the colour to form the checkers you see. The mushroom is done as a motif, in the end, to add on. If you don’t enjoy the mushroom, don’t do it. You are the artist to decide…

Mushroom granny square bag with a hand sewn lining and magnetic clip button! 🍄
The pattern for the mushrooms was on YouTube by VetkaKnit and I tweaked it a bit to fit the bag I was making.

Made another foldable bag pattern :^)
[ID: A short TikTok video for a crochet mushroom bag pattern. The video begins with a red and white polka dot mushroom pouch spinning in front of the camera and speeds up as the pouch is opened to reveal a larger mesh bag attached inside. Text on the screen reads “whipped up a pattern for this bad boy” and then “$5 on Etsy, Ravelry, and Ribblr./.End ID]

Made this adorable mushroom bucket bag for my mum! This yarn is absolutely gorgeous so it made for a special project <3
Yarn: BC Garn Hamelton Tweed 2 in Natural, Light Beige and Rust (maroon)
Pattern: 'Mushroom Bucket Bag Crochet Pattern' by BayouSelfCreations - slightly altered - I made the top a little bigger and left off the mushroom house details as they're a little cutesy for my mum's style

Mushroom Dice Bag/Plush
Spicy Boy's (my friend) mom, a history teacher at my school, mentioned wanting a dice bag while I was talking to my Latin teacher about the things I've been knitting/crocheting lately (I was showing her my children, Richard and Ricky). So, as a good son's friend, I went to Pinterest and started looking for something that would be good enough for the amazing woman who has to deal with the atrocity that is my friend. Not finding any pattern that I was going to follow specifically, I found a couple pictures and base this loosely off of them. On to the pattern!
Materials:
5.00 mm crochet hook Two colours of yarn, one for Mushroom Stalk (and Separator) (Colour A) and one for Mushroom Cap (Colour B) Tapestry needle Polyfil/Yarn scraps/Filling of choice Scissors
Stalk - Colour A (I used an off-white)
MR

inc all (12 sts)
*sc, inc *to end (18 sts)
*2sc, inc *to end (24 sts)

sc all (12 sts)
sc all (12 sts)
sc all (12 sts)
inc all (24 sts)
*sc, inc *to end (33 sts)
FO and either stuff now or while connecting the Separator
Separator - any colour (I used my Colour A)
Skip this and the connecting parts is you are making the plush version
MR
6sc (6 sts)
inc all (12 sts)
sc all (12 sts)

FO
Connecting Stalk and Separator - Colour B (I used shade of green)
sc 1st of Stalk and 1st of Separator together (x2)
sc 1st of Stalk and, skipping 1st of Separator, 1st of Separator together

For Plush:
*9sc, dec *to end (30 sts)
*sc, dec *to end (20 sts)
sc all (20 sts)
sc all (20 sts)
sc all (20 sts)
*8sc, dec *to end (18 sts)
sc all (18 sts)
*sc, dec *to end (12 sts)
sc all (12 sts)
dec all (6 sts)
Finish stuffing and sew shut
Drawstring (Dice Bag Only):
After weaving in the end, take a length of Colour A and a tapestry needle, alternating above and below the stitches of row 9, ending on the stitch you started on. Tie the ends together and trim.
Alternatively: You might know more about drawstrings than me and, if so, use your better method (and please tell me what it is)!
Feel free to use this for your personal use/as a gift! I'd love to see a picture of what yours looks like (I'll post mine soon)

So I tried something new tonight, a crochet mushroom air pod pouch. I added a zipper to make sure it wasn’t easy for it to fall out or for someone to steal it.
