After drilling a multi-twist dive through the wall straight into the madman's face, I landed on my feet, reached over, ripped an oak tree out of the ground and used it to hammer the little freak into the lawn like a fence post.
Tumblr media
That cost me some money because the tree had apparently been growing there for over 89 years and was actually owned by the city.

Silent Guardian: A Captivating Batgirl by HeathJett
Batgirl emerges with an alluring gaze, embodying the spirit of Gotham City. She stands tall, donning her iconic Batgirl suit, as her brown hair cascades gracefully in the wind, accentuating her piercing light blue eyes. This captivating portrayal captures her strength, beauty, and determination as she prepares to protect the city she loves. Let her enigmatic presence draw you into the shadows of the night
Batgirl stands atop a Gotham City rooftop, her eyes scanning the cityscape below. The cool night air tousles her flowing brown hair as she adjusts the cowl over her face. With a determined gaze and a sense of purpose, she surveys the darkness that surrounds her.
Batgirl: "Gotham City, a city in desperate need of a guardian. Tonight, I am that guardian."
She listens intently to the sounds of the city, the distant sirens and echoes of crime. Her cape billows behind her, a symbol of her strength and resolve. With a swift and fluid motion, she leaps off the ledge, landing silently on another rooftop.
Batgirl: "Every night, the battle for justice begins anew. Criminals may think they can hide, but they cannot escape the watchful eyes of Batgirl."
She moves with grace and precision, navigating the rooftops with expert agility. Her blue eyes gleam with determination as she hunts down those who would bring harm to the innocent.
Batgirl: "In the shadows, I strike fear into the hearts of those who prey on the weak. They will know that justice has come."
With a swift kick and a precise move, she disarms a group of criminals, sending them sprawling to the ground. Her movements are swift, yet controlled, as she brings down the forces of evil.
Batgirl: "You thought you could take advantage of the night? Think again."
As the defeated criminals lie before her, she pauses for a moment, her gaze filled with compassion and a desire for a safer Gotham.
Batgirl: "Tonight, justice has prevailed. But the fight is never over. I will continue to protect this city, to ensure that hope shines through the darkness."
With a final determined look, Batgirl disappears into the night, her mission far from over.
Batgirl: "Gotham will always have a guardian. And that guardian is Batgirl."

'Vermin Calling' Book Review By Ron Foriter

VERMIN CALLING By Darryle Purcell Offbeat Reads 198 pgs
Young Vernon Jiles was bullied as a child. His worst tormentor, his older brother. To survive these daily beatings, Vernon lost himself in his comics and soon developed a true love of graphic storytelling. Enough so that he began drawing his own comics and grew up to become a professional illustrator.  But there was more to Vernon’s story for he possessed a very unique imagination, one his mind learned to harness in a most spectacular way. Vernon discovered early in his comic-creating career that he, by the power of his mind, could bring his cartoon characters to life.
Soon, his colorful friends, led by the fighting DuckTard, were parading around his studio and adding to the fun and mayhem of his daily life. Ultimately, realizing he had the ability to do good and protect people, Vernon assumed a secret identity, and the Vermin, the scourge of the underworld, was born. Again, all because of his amazing imagination.
When the beautiful Tenacity Mills answered an ad to be his assistant, she was instantly brought into his top-secret crusade. At first, the poor girl thought she was losing her mind, but gradually Vernon’s naïve sincerity won her over. Soon Tenacity was fighting crooks and communist agitators alongside Vermin and his cartoon posse.
Darryle Purcell is a gifted storyteller unafraid of exploring the wild and bizarre and he has no problems making the impossible seem totally believable. Never more so than in this crazy romp with two of his most likable characters ever. In fact, when you consider the plot, this reviewer doesn’t wonder if some of these exploits weren’t based on his own life. Now that would be crazy! And fun!
