I want to write this weekend. I have time to write this weekend. So I can only assume my motivation will be zero.

I like bloodweave. Okay. But I DON'T like the version of them in fanfic where Astarion is a dick and Gale is like. Whining and pleading for him to be emotionally vulnerable (or just. Nice to him) prior to the relationship being established. Because that is just not accurate. Gale needs the player to express interest in him during his weave-teaching scene before he even considers hitting on them properly. Gale is entirely resigned to his fate and needs someone else to pull him away from it. Gale only starts being sweet and romantic and devoted after you accept his love confession and give him hope for the future. Gale says fuck all and then slinks away to cry privately if you break up with him.

Like he isn't chasing after people lmao. He isn't dropping to his knees and crying about anything much less this dickhead he met a week ago. He is overwhelmingly passive about literally everything personal to him up to and including his own death (provided there are no casualties/there is a good reason) until after the player expresses that they care about him. Astarion is not doing that in any of these fics.

Like Gale is friendly and a dork and doesn't wanna get murdered but he fully has a suicide plan. He thought the artefacts would help him survive but he didn't believe he'd ever truly live again. If Gale confessed and Astarion said/did like one (1) mean thing afterward Gale's romance is closed off forever. He's wandering into the forest to cry. He's killing himself immediately. His fragile ego and self worth can't take it. You have to understand that when we joke about him being pathetic it's not bc he's like. Sopping wet and chasing people down and begging for a scrap of attention. It's because he craves affection but would literally rather die than ask or even hope for it until someone else forces that hope back into his serotonin-deficient tadpole brain.

Re-watching Star Trek is definitely a more conscious experience for me. Like the power of that scene… The dialogue is superb, with a brutal and moving message. And the way John de Lancie plays his role is amazing.

Short comic Ive been working on, felt silly and is slightly inspired by the amount of times I’ve logged onto genshin just to chill with the hilichurls, I love the hilichurls ngl (which is why the we will be reunited quests break me-)

Yuuji is the bestest boy ever and no one can convince me otherwise

Don't even argue with me but Yuuji is the kind of guy who'd instantly know you're struggling with something from the way you seemingly type less when you reply to him

He's the kind of guy who wouldn't even think twicec let alone once about just ditching everything he had to do that day and just straight up dash to the next convenient store to pick up your favourite snacks and some microwave food, paired with some unhealthy sugary drinks that he knows you secretely love to the moon

Yuuji is the kind of guy who would run to your place in the middle of the night during a thunderstorm just because he worries about you

He's also the kind of guy who doesn't judge when he sees the mess at your place when you let him in

You're in tears and red in the face from embarrassment and shame about how messy your place looks and how you haven't showered in a week, let alone brushed your teeth. Your hair is an unwashed mess but he doesn't care

You can not convince me otherwise, Yuuji is the kind of guy who'd clean your entire apartment for you while you take a depression nap

He's such a caring guy, he'd even cook you some real food, because despite the snacks and junk food he brought he wants you to eat something proper too when you mention you've been surviving on frozen pizza and nuggets for three weeks

Yuuji doesn't judge, he doesn't humiliate, he doesn't even comment, he's just there and helps you how much he can because he loves you

But Yuuji's also the type to not confess to you because you're amidst your worst mental time and he cannot put any burden like that on your shoulders when you deal with so much in your head already

Unbeknownst to him, it's long not platonic anymore how he cares about you, how he cooks for you, how he helps you wash your hair, how he holds you when you cry, how he embraces you when you feel week

No, the way he protectively keeps you close to his chest when you cry yourself to sleep is far beyond platonic

William went on his first date in his life and of course Albert was there to look after him and help if anything happened (I will not stop loving them, no no ✋)

If you want, I will develop this theme all the way to an animatic (because I like to think that on the first date William was terribly nervous and embarrassed by Annette.. Although of course she wouldn’t suggest that he watch “The Human Centipede”)).

So I finished the Farewell Rayashki event:

Wow, what an amazing event. Probably one of my favorites in Reverse 1999. I loved watching the story of the townspeople of Rayashki fighting back against Zeno to protect their home with the help of a down- on- her- luck researcher unfold. This was probably the first event story in this game that got me feeling emotional. I think what contributed so heavily to my enjoyment and investment in the story was how we got to familiarize with the town itself, from it’s backstory, to the lives the residents that live there.

Back before 1.8 released on global, I never had much of an opinion on Vila. All I really knew about her was that she was a top tier healer mermaid who liked talking about freedom and stuff. But man, this event story really warmed me up to her as a character. She’s such a lovely teacher for the children of Rayashki, always encouraging them to be open minded and learn new things (kinda reminds me of teachers I used to have). Vila’s also such a brave leader for the people, not afraid to speak her mind on the unfair treatment Rayashki was facing at the hands of Zeno and rousing the townsfolk to band together to find new ore to support the town. I also really liked her relationship with Windsong and how she encouraged Windsong to not give up on her dreams. And that’s not to mention her backstory of being shunned and scorned by humans and rusalka alike, yet being able to find a place where everyone could live in harmony in Rayashki. Such a great character :)

Avgust was such a cinnamon roll. Just about every appearance he made on screen was a delight to watch. He’s got such an odd yet endearing way of interpreting the world around him and that made for some excellent chemistry for him and the other characters. He’s so strange yet so cute at the same time, it’s no wonder my sibling went for him on Vila’s banner (they got Vila but not Avgust btw).

Windsong was definitely the MVP. At first I assumed she’d be like Yelan from Genshin: cool, alluring, mysterious, all the typical tropes you’d expect from a woman like her in a gacha game. Turns out she’s almost nothing like I’d expect. Windsong at first was awkward, anxious, not confident in her talents as a ley hunter at all do to her past failures in the field of ley line research. She was on the verge of giving up, yet throughout the story she’s able to finally prove the study of ley lines can be a valid and useful field with the help and encouragement of the townspeople. Watching her become a teacher for the kids at the school was also heartwarming to watch. Also watching Windsong tell that Zeno guy where to shove it was also pretty satisfying, seeing her developing friendship with Vila and the rest of the town was sweet, watching her slowly helping the town achieve their goals and subsequently reach her own and finally coming to her own as a researcher was so cathartic aaaAAA-

Overall, this event was incredible, thanks in no small part to the excellent writing. I absolutely love this story, and I can’t wait for it to rerun :)
