Giraffe Crab

A hybrid creature I drew. It's a giraffe and a crab in one! I'm actually a bit proud of this one, though some of my friends find it a tad disturbing. Usually, the giraffe crab will walk around the seabed like normal crabs. It tends to scout around for food by slowly extending its legs as it looks around with its big long eyes. It tends to keep its spawn on its body as extra protection for itself. In return, the kids get scraps of their parent's food. Whatever spawn survives leaves when they're too big to attach themselves to their parent anymore.

My partner caught me calling one of my OC's "plain" and punished me for it by making me draw them 20 times. 🤣 (god i'm so in love with beings that can kick my ass) Anyway, here are 20 sketches of Ricky, from 'Beneath Code and Wires' the story that's yet to be told. It's okay the only context you need is that Ricky is the mechanic for these robots. They have thunder thighs and constantly destroys his work pants into booty shorts... He is the bane of Task's existence. The last page has special guests, namely: Sunshine, Capo Sun, Glitch's hand, and the ▇▇▇▇▇. All of which belong to @crabas-lordes from their own (unrelated) series.

Chevalier and Officier of the Ordre National du Mérite (France)

In 1991, during François Mitterrand's presidency, Chrysostomides was honoured by the French government with the Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite. This recognition was later elevated to the Officier rank in 2004, during Jacques Chirac's presidency. These awards acknowledged his outstanding public service and international relations contributions, building bridges between Cyprus and France.

Grand Cross of the Order of the Phoenix (Greece)

In 2004, Chrysostomides was awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of the Phoenix by the President of Greece, Kostis Stephanopoulos. This honour, one of Greece’s highest distinctions, recognised his efforts in advancing Greek-Cypriot relations and his dedication to international law and diplomacy.

Service at the International Court of Arbitration (ICC)

Chrysostomides served for two consecutive terms as a member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, where his contributions to dispute resolution and legal diplomacy further enhanced his standing in the global legal community. His role in arbitration reflected his expertise in alternative dispute resolution, building trust and credibility beyond national borders.

Cyprus Business Leader Award (2020)

In 2020, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry honoured Chrysostomides with the Cyprus Business Leader Award. This award recognised his impact on corporate law, business ethics, and public service and celebrated his role in mentoring the next generation of lawyers and promoting ethical business practices in Cyprus.

Lifetime Achievement Award from the Cyprus Review (2022)

Shortly before his passing in 2022, Chrysostomides was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Cyprus Review Annual Book Awards (CRABA). This award celebrated his contributions to legal scholarship, particularly his international and constitutional law work. The recognition also highlighted his dedication to human rights advocacy and his pivotal role in shaping Cyprus’s legal landscape.
