I'm trying to find a fanfic that I read a while back where Blaine was a famous toy maker that was working undercover at Vogue, and Kurt was a single dad that he met there. I tried searching your blog for "toy maker" and "single dad" but couldn't find anything that sounded like what I’m looking for. Does this story sound familiar to anyone?
Precocious Princesses by CoffeeAddict80/ @caramelcoffeeaddict
Based off a prompt found on tumblr – We’re coworkers and I overheard you complaining about how your ex was supposed to get a specific toy for your child’s birthday tomorrow but they completely forgot and you’ve been going crazy trying to find one - don’t ask why but I happen to have one I can give you

Jeremiah/Matt lore???
OKAY i should get into their backstory first so around nov 2022 i had this obsession with jeremiah (the backstory for my obsession would take even longer to explain so i’m not going to) and i was desperate for content and i found this klaine fanfiction where it was klaine from different characters perspectives?? idk it’s been a while, i’m sure it’s a good fanfiction but i couldn’t tell you because i just skipped to the jeremiah chapter.. the chapter was like blaine and jeremiah getting coffee and blaine kept talking about kurt or some other gay shit. after reading, i got curious, so i went to the next chapter where it was MATT’s perspective and matt saw kurt and blaine at/outside a gap store. i didn’t read past that but in my head i was like “what if jeremiah and matt crossed paths……..” then i forgot about it for like 5 months UNTIL i suddenly had an obsession with matt (who KNOWS why?? i cant even explain this one) so i remembered my little idea of them crossing paths so now they’re dating 🫶🫶
OKAY MY LORE FOR THEM (my headcanon is matt was a senior in s1 and graduated) matt and jeremiah and coworkers at the gap. jeremiah has dreams of becoming a fashion designer but is stuck at his minimum wage job and feels that he’s obligated to work there for money/stability. matt is studying to become an opera singer (my other matt headcanon is he has an operatic voice which isn’t true at all for the actor but let me cook) and is working at the gap to make some money. matt has HUGE crush on jeremiah, but jeremiah is oblivious (and demiromantic wow the headcanons just keep coming). matt finally gets the motivation on VALENTINE’S DAY to confess his love to jeremiah. he gets to his shift with a bouquet of flowers except JEREMIAH ISN’T THERE!! OMG!!!! matt asks his boss “uh is jeremiah sick or something?? he always comes to work” and his boss is like “i just fired him he just left a few minutes ago” and then matt’s like “I QUIT THEN!!!” cuz he was only motivated to stay at that job to see jeremiah. he cHASES after jeremiah but before matt can say anything, jeremiah is like “jESUS CHRIST YOU’LL NEVER BELIEVE WHAT JUST HAPPENED SOME KID SERENADED ME AND GOT ME FIRED-“ and he rants about his job, how he just wants to get out of ohio, how he doesn’t know what to do and rants and rants and rants until he finally calms down and then he’s like “aren’t you supposed to be at work? who are the flowers from??” and matt’s like “i quit….. and these are for you….” and then matt dramatically confesses his love to jeremiah except i’m too stupid to write a confession so you’re just gonna have to make that up in your head and then matt’s like “i understand if you don’t want to date me after all the stuff that happened today-“ AND THEN HE’S CUT OFF BY JEREMIAH KISSING HIM AND ITS BEAUTIFUL AND THERES FIREWORKS AND MATT PULLS BACK AND ASSURES HIM “we’ll get out of ohio. i’ll help you start you’re own clothing line. i’ll help you follow your dream you’ve been pushing aside. we’ll get through this. together.”
and then like however many years later, jeremiah becomes the ceo of gap the end

@yadivagirl - do you mind if I elaborate on your tags? Because I feel like I'm going to get an ask about it anyway, and it's on my mind. Please don't take this as me arguing with your or anything, I just kind of wanted a platform to say what's in my head.
I think Chris and Darren like each other just fine. They've never been bff nor do I think they're close. But I don't think they dislike each other either.
I have a theory about all of this... (and should be taken as the theory that it is) I think they started by decent friendly coworkers. I think when Klaine began to get big - Chris put his foot down and said to Darren (who did not seem to care all that much about it) that they were no longer going to appear together. Because every time they did - the crazies came out and made their lives miserable.
Darren joked about it in an interview once - that even though Mia went through shit (and she, god, went through shit) he was never that bothered by the tinhatting. But Chris /hated/ it. Like, really, really hated it. Which is fine - whatever.
But I think as the show was winding down, and after Cory's death, and after everyone was burnt out and tired of it, Chris got to be more irritating about the whole thing.
Fun fact - the last few years of the show, Darren's wife Mia did all the promotional stuff for Glee -- all of those YouTube Fox Lounge things? Those were Mia. And she purposely put Darren and Chris together cause she's not a stupid woman and knows what sells. I mean, she was getting death threats and human hair sent to her at that point, and she still did this promotional stuff.
Now through my travels I found out through an underground source-- and this is, like, take with a grain of salt stuff even if I have reason to believe it -- Chris was being a pain about it, because he had already determined that he and Darren wouldn't be doing anything together again. And when he was being not great about it - Mia went above him and he was forced to do it. So those kinda weird Fox Lounge interviews where Chris is being somewhat of a distant shithead about it? Was less about Darren, and more about having to do it in the first place. But that's my theory on it.
All of the post-Glee stuff is just them having different personalities. I mean, Chris is very much an introvert and Darren is very much an extrovert and they just have different interests and different friend groups. I've never seen anything -- in any of my travels over the past ten+ years -- that would indicate actual dislike from either of them.
No, I don't think they see each other all that often, and no, I don't think Chris will ever want to do a project with Darren again because of all the insane Klaine stuff - but they both speak nicely of each other -- and even a couple of years ago when they did a reunion thing during Covid, they seemed pretty cool with each other. And Chris did reach out after Darren's brother died.
That's just my two cents -- thank you for indulging me, because it was rolling around in my head. Clearly - I don't know either of them personally, so I can't say anything but theories. But I just needed to get it out...
Is it true that Chris Colfer really hates klaine?
Well, since I am not Chris Colfer, or someone who worked closely with him on set, or one of his good friends - I cannot really answer that question.
I can tell you my opinion as someone very distantly removed though. I think that Chris had a very complicated relationship with the fact that he was one half of a TV power couple.
I think between his natural inclination to be a very independent person, the fact that as an actor he sometimes wanted more drama to play with, and the fact that there were certain members of a certain fandom who so strongly believed he was dating his costar that his life, his costars life, and the both of their significant others' lives were not only disrupted but sometimes threatened - it sometimes felt like a difficult beast to deal with.
But I also think that removed from it - as a concept - it wasn't a thing he had a problem with, and he was well aware of how much the relationship and story meant to people.
I don't think that he hated Klaine in the way that people weaponize it as an excuse to shit on the ship. I don't think it was about the story lines (even if he did have his opinions) or that he hated Darren or anything. (He and Darren are on good terms, were friends on set, and are cordial now.)
I do think that he greatly disliked the fandom monster that it created. The one that demanded every action and every answer had to be related to Klaine. The one that demanded he sacrifice his individuality at the alter of the cult created by the loudest of the loud shippers. He disliked that his privacy was constantly being invaded. And he disliked that people he loved were being harassed by strangers. All of /that/ is what he hated.
Have you read Stranger Than Fanfiction, Nonny? Because I think how Chris feels about shipping and fandom, in general, is pretty close to how he feels about it. I think that was his book to be therapeutic about his experiences. And... he was pretty kind in it. One thing I really got from it is, while he hilariously has no idea what fandoming really is, he understands enough to separate the crazies from the non-crazies. I recommend you read it - it might clarify things for you.
I'll say this though...
Regardless of how Chris felt about it -- his opinion shouldn't reflect on how /you/ feel about it. Kurt's story and Klaine's story was really good television. And Chris's opinion is so biased from living through it -- that it will always color how he feels. And that should not have any bearing on how /you/ feel about it.
People do weaponize Chris's opinions as a way to prove that enjoying the story is wrong. These people are shitheads - and are trying to use anything to justify their own annoying opinions. Just ignore them.
Chris isn't always right. Look - I love the guy, but there were times when he had opinions or thoughts that I was like -- ooff, bb, no. He'd often refer to all Klaine fans as twelve-year-old girls. And maybe from his vantage point, they were. But eventually (hopefully) a publicist must have jumped in because he did stop saying that. But it took a while, and it was always cringy listening to him talk about the fans. He also would have preferred more drama between Burt and Kurt -- to which I say, no, that's dumb, and I'm glad you didn't write it... Just because he played Kurt doesn't mean that he's /right/.
So, Idk, Nonny - I can't give you a definitive answer. I don't think it's a simple yes or no answer. But I also think you should come to your own conclusions and judge how you want to feel about a thing without needing validation from me, or other loud internet people, or Chris himself.
But that's my two cents. *shrugs*

Cardinal Sins
Pairing: Blaine Anderson/Kurt Hummel Rating: Mature Words: 3533 Summary: Kurt Hummel, the seven deadly sins, rules, and breaking them.
Read on AO3
Envy. a feeling of discontented or resentful longing aroused by someone else’s possessions, qualities, or luck.
Blaine can’t stand the feeling that keeps settling in his stomach, refusing to be ignored. And the feeling is an attachment, and he’s still sifting through it, figuring it out, but it’s there nonetheless.
And he knows it’s all useless, anyway. They work for the same company. That would make it messy and complicated and – well, against the rules. Interpersonal relationships in the office have to remain professional, above board, respectable. It was written out and emphasized in the staff booklet that Gloria had given him during his orientation. And he had willingly signed it.
But then he had met Kurt.
Kurt. Kurt, who always smiles at him from his desk whenever Blaine passes it. Kurt, who saw him eating alone in the break room during his first week and took the time to see how he was settling in. Kurt, who always wears clothes in a way that makes it so Blaine can’t figure out if he wants to marvel at them or tear them off. Just – Kurt.
It’s not quite taking over his life yet – the attachment. It is always there; in his chest and the casual conversations they have that feel so easy and could be so much more if only one of them would take a step. And so: there is a distance in his crush.
Until there isn’t.
Maybe Blaine should have anticipated this. It’s Halloween, after all. And even though it’s a staff party, of course Kurt went all out. He lets his eyes fall onto his frame, again, and looks him up and down, again. He’s dressed as a vampire but it’s Kurt, so it’s not just a cheap cape and some plastic teeth. It’s leather boots that go up to his knee and lace up at the front. It’s a cape that is heavy and sweeping and looks handmade, red and gold detailing on the collar. And the fangs – they're veneers, so realistic and taunting and honestly? Blaine would gladly let him bite-
And that is why the distance is falling away. Because up until this point, Kurt has been nothing more than his hot and kind coworker that he pines after but cannot date, cannot have. Now, very explicitly, it has become almost unbearable how much Kurt is someone Blaine wants, feels desperate about. Like something inside of him is being hollowed out and replaced with a pinprick and narrow need for him; like he’ll forget how to breathe if Kurt doesn’t put his hands on him.

Fic Name: The Hating Game
Fic Author(s): coffeeorder
Fic Summary: Blaine can count on one hand the amount of people he has hated in his life. But Kurt Hummel is definitely The Worst.
Or: That co-workers AU where they hate each other (until they don't)
Fic Trope(s): Co-workers Klaine, Enemies to Lovers
Fic Length (Word Count): 48,787 words
Fic Rating: Explicit
Fic Warnings or Triggers: None
Fic Status: Complete
My Review: Alright, so I said earlier that another fic was my favorite in this category, but then I remembered this one, and I have to say this one is equally as brilliant. And with me saying that it would not be fair of me to gush over that fic and not do the same for this one. And so I shall.
I'll start by saying I love the premise of them working for the same job, because of course they would. They are both go-getters who work hard to achieve their dreams. The whole story is well-thought-out and fun, and I love how it unfolds.
I've said it many times. Do you want to capture attention? Dialogue. I love the witty banter here, especially Kurt's nickname for Blaine. It's just well-written and fun. I've read this story multiple times, and honestly, it never gets old. They say it's a thin line between love and hate, and here you can tell that their frustration is really admiration. I love the tension.
I love a well-planned ending, and I have to say I love how the author wrapped this up. It really kept me guessing how things would be resolved throughout. I also love the explanation for the reason Kurt calls Blaine cheddar. It's adorable.

27 with klaine, I’m begging
#27 - Kisses exchanged while one person sits on the other’s lap.
I’ve actually had two anons request this one, so I’m making this a part 2 of my last prompt, with coworkers!klaine - per popular demand ;-)
read the first part here
-
Blaine can’t remember how they got here.
The vague logistics are obvious - he knows they left the bar together, remembers the cab ride from the way Kurt’s palm felt like a searing brand where it rested heavy on Blaine’s upper thigh, but the rest of it has blurred together, entirely unimportant.
It’s all pointless when it’s led him to Kurt’s apartment, on Kurt’s couch, on Kurt’s lap, kissing him.
More than kissing him, actually: fingers of one hand knotted in Kurt’s slightly sweat-dampened hair, other hand rucking up Kurt’s sweater and searching out his skin, soft and smooth and irresistible, alternating sucking Kurt’s bottom lip into his mouth and then his top one, rocking his hips down slowly, infuriatingly slowly, somehow holding himself back enough to allow the heat to build instead of rushing through it.
And he feels Kurt underneath him, too, the way Kurt’s fingers shakily unbuttoned Blaine’s cardigan moments ago and shoved it off his shoulders without so much as breaking their kiss, the way he now has his hands on Blaine’s ass, encouraging him along to ride the undulating waves of the friction they’re creating together, already so much but nowhere near enough.
They’ve barely spoken since they kissed - in fact, it had been an unspoken agreement to leave and to share a cab and for Blaine to come up to Kurt’s apartment, and it’s odd, really, how certain of all of it Blaine had been.
How certain of all of it he still is.
But he’s certain, too, that he needs more, and he’s pretty sure Kurt does, too, from the way he throws his head back against the couch cushions with a shaky breath of a moan when Blaine begins to mouth across Kurt’s jawline and down his neck, taking his time sucking slow, purposeful kisses everywhere he can reach, on every bit of skin that’s exposed.
If he were completely sober, Blaine would be reveling in the fact that he’s even being allowed to do this, that he’s learned the softness of Kurt’s lips and the salty-sweet taste of his skin, that he’s beginning to learn the way Kurt sounds when he moans and the feeling of Kurt’s cock hard and pressed against his own, even through their pants.
But he’s not sober - he’s not entirely wasted, plenty coherent enough to know what he’s doing and that he wants this and that Kurt wants it, too, but he’s drunk enough to be able to put the wonder and amazement and every other thought out of his mind and focus on this, on figuring out how to make Kurt feel good and actually making it happen.
The rest will come later.
So Blaine pulls back enough to look at Kurt, lifting slightly up on his knees on either side of Kurt’s lap and pressing Kurt further into the back of the couch, leaning their foreheads together, their breathing coming hot and ragged between them - and Kurt looks incredible like this, cheeks flushed from booze and heat and desire, eyes dark and lust-blown with only a ring of dark blue left visible around his pupils, mouth kissed red and swollen and god, what Blaine wouldn’t do to see those lips wrapped around-
“Blaine,” Kurt breathes out in a stuttered exhale, his hands sliding up to rest on Blaine’s bare chest, up under his undershirt, and Blaine realizes he’s just been staring, realizes he’s gone still, realizes that Kurt is nearly trembling underneath him, and Blaine needs to-
He needs to do something.
In as fluid of a motion as he can manage, Blaine pushes himself up off of the couch and up off of Kurt, instead sliding down onto the floor in front of him, gently pressing at both of Kurt’s knees to encourage his legs to part - and he can’t help but feel a tiny thrill at the way they fall open so readily, at the way he can hear the hitch of Kurt’s breath and possibly even a soft whimper, too.
There’s no way to describe how it makes Blaine feel other than powerful, like he’s in control of giving this to Kurt, of taking him apart in hopes of putting him back together, and Kurt is letting him do it, trusting him to.
The powerful feeling persists through his uncoordinated efforts to unlace Kurt’s boots and pull them off, then the sloppy awkwardness of their joint maneuver in getting Kurt’s pants off, too, and then-
And then Kurt’s fingers are twisting in Blaine’s curls, pulling him closer as he leans in to ghost his mouth along the outline of Kurt’s cock straining in his underwear, sucking briefly at the head of it, reveling in the taste as well as the moan that it elicits, low from Kurt’s throat.
Again, if Blaine were sober, he’d want to take his time - draw it out, strip Kurt naked and kiss and savor every part of him, and as much as he still wants that, hopes he’ll have another chance to do it, maybe, someday, he’s far too impatient, the anticipation of months of possibly-mutual stolen glances built up for far too long.
There’s no hope of waiting another second.
And so Blaine reaches to hook his thumb under Kurt’s waistband and tug his underwear long enough to free his cock, to wrap his hand around the length of it, then wasting no time taking it into his mouth.
The weight of Kurt on his tongue, the feeling of his lips stretching around him is incredible, turning Blaine on beyond belief as he sinks as far down as he can manage, and he can’t help but moan at the combination of all of it, nearly overwhelming his senses.
It’s been a long time since he’s done this, not just been intimate with someone but ached so desperately to give. He’s a thousand times more focused on Kurt’s release than his own, and though he’s achingly hard and feels himself straining against the fly of his pants, it doesn’t matter - all that matters is the way Kurt reacts when Blaine swirls his tongue around the head of his cock, the way Kurt moans when Blaine takes him in deeper, the way Kurt begins to tremble underneath him, fingers digging more insistently into Blaine’s curls.
But by the time Kurt is shifting restlessly and panting and moaning underneath Blaine’s hands and his mouth, Blaine is becoming more desperate, too - he reaches down to unbutton and unzip his pants, shoving them down past his hips far enough to slip his hand under his briefs and jerk himself off, too, not caring that it’s his own touch because it’s still connected, still in rhythm with what he’s giving Kurt, still on the path to the pleasure and the heat and the release that they’re searching for together.
“Blaine, I’m- Stop, I-”
Kurt sounds completely and utterly undone, and when Blaine pulls off to look up at him, he looks it, too - debauched and lost in the feeling of all of it, and Blaine did that, Blaine made him this way.
And Blaine needs to pull him through it.
He makes the split decision to push up off of the floor and climb back onto Kurt’s lap, one hand pressed into the couch cushion beside Kurt’s head, knees once again straddling his lap, taking another moment to look at him, to breathe him in and look and memorize just in case, before he leans their foreheads together and reaches down to grasp Kurt’s cock in his hand again, intent on bringing him over the edge.
Even untouched, Blaine is too wound up to properly kiss Kurt while he does it, instead staying impossibly close as their breaths mix hot and heady between them, as he pays attention to Kurt’s soft noises and whimpers to know when he has the right grip, the right touch, as he feels Kurt’s hips bucking up underneath him with an intensity that proves he’s right there at it, close, almost.
When he feels Kurt’s hand snake between their bodies to find Blaine’s cock, too, wrapping around it with surprisingly sure, steady fingers, Blaine is done for, too.
It takes only a handful of strokes for him to come, spilling hot over Kurt’s fist as his orgasm sparks through him like a firework, bright and bold and in pure technicolor, leaving him shaking and breathless and collapsing against Kurt’s body, just in time for him to feel Kurt come, too, and Blaine is close enough to feel it ripple through Kurt’s body, only letting go of Kurt’s cock to clutch him nearer, pressing as close as he can possibly get.
“Oh my god,” Kurt laughs shakily once they’ve begun to come down from it, and Blaine hums in agreement, pressing slower, gentler kisses to Kurt’s jaw, as if it can soothe him, help him, ease him back out of it.
“Was that okay?” he asks quietly, feeling like he should, as he musters all of his energy to lift up enough to look at Kurt, feeling weak and boneless but just needing to check, needing to be sure.
“So okay,” Kurt breathes, rocking up enough to capture Blaine’s lips in a kiss, softer and sweeter than any they’d shared before, making Blaine’s toes curl at the tenderness of it and of the weight it holds - a silent affirmation that this isn’t it, that they can be more, that this is just the beginning.
And Blaine allows himself to sink into it, reveling in the feeling instead of being afraid by it, instead of questioning it, only pulling away when it’s turned into a press of their smiles more than anything else.
Of course, there’s one more thing.
“Did you- Did you really already know who I was?” The question comes out sounding tentative, but Blaine is suddenly desperate to know, slightly afraid of the answer, unsure of what it means either way.
Kurt smiles slowly, lazily, shifting to lay down on the couch and tugging Blaine down along with him, pulling him close.
“Blaine Anderson,” he murmurs, and Blaine has never loved his name more, has never heard it quite like this, like the beginnings of the melody of a soft, sweet song that only Kurt knows how to sing. “I did a project with Tina, back a couple months ago. She talks about you a lot.”
He can’t help but laugh at that, a breathless, genuine giggle bubbling up and out of his chest, and he tucks his face into Kurt’s neck just because he can - just because he can.
“I didn’t know yours until I overheard it tonight,” Blaine admits softly, feeling silly and oblivious for it, for not having known, for not having thought to ask Tina long ago. “But I... I’ve been seeing you around the building for months now, and I just... There’s something about you.”
Kurt lets out a soft, happy hum, trailing his fingers up and down Blaine’s back, tracing small, weaving patterns along the path.
“Something good, I hope.”
Lifting his head up, Blaine feels no hesitation in pressing his lips to Kurt’s in a slow, languid kiss, whispering the words into it when he speaks.
“Better than I ever could have expected.”

Klaine fanfiction I've written & posted in 2023
Accidental Audition (7,958 words)
Summary: Blaine Anderson applies for a promotion at his office job, but the application gets intercepted by a vindictive coworker that is also vying for the position. The coworker hatches a scheme to humiliate Blaine by hacking the secretary’s email and sending Blaine to an off-site studio for his “interview”, where he meets up-and-coming playwright, Kurt Hummel, while unknowingly auditioning for the movie adaptation of Kurt’s hit Broadway musical.
I'll Cover You (1,315 words)
Summary: Blaine is a theater professor whose class is currently discussing the musical RENT for an assignment - a musical that his husband, Kurt, just so happened to win a Tony Award for. So, Kurt drops by Blaine's class to discuss the production with them.
Swinging On A Star (30,500 words)
Summary: Loosely based on the 1987 TV series Out Of This World. Kurt is a half-alien raised on Earth as a human by his Earthling father, and on his 17th birthday learns the truth about his mother and himself when he is gifted with the power to freeze time. Note
Is it too late to send in a prompt? If not, I'd like to prompt: We’re coworkers and you have a strict no-interoffice dating policy you set for yourself, but I know you like me so I’ve been sending myself notes & gifts from a “secret admirer” to make you jealous (for Klaine if possible)
Never too late :-) The writing part of the Big Bang hasn’t even started yet.
Thanks for you contribution, Nonnie!
