All right, @the-defiant-pupil, I’ll see what sort of research paper I can throw together here concerning Corona-chan.
Right now, we’re going on fatality rate based on known/confirmed cases. This global fatality rate is currently at 7.1%, with 3,253,181 confirmed cases and 233,014 deaths. We’re still lacking a lot of data, such as China withholding so much, and with other countries only testing those with symptoms while ignoring the high percentage who are asymptomatic.
https://gisanddata.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/bda7594740fd40299423467b48e9ecf6
Antibody tests are now being used to tell who has had the virus, and to see if they’re actually immune to it, which would allow them to go back to work. This also allows us to see exactly how far Corona-chan has spread, and this data is being used to show a slightly different picture for a mortality rate, since it helps identify those who were asymptomatic. Countries that don’t count asymptomatic people show a might higher fatality rate because they only count the people who seek medical help.
https://www.livescience.com/coronavirus-antibody-tests.html
In the US, there are still places that are barely testing, and only testing those who show symptoms, such as the largest county in the country, the San Bernardino County. Currently, we’re listed at 2058 cases, with only 93 deaths, putting us at a 4.5% fatality rate. We cannot take that at face value, however, because even those with mild symptoms are being turned away, and those with no symptoms are being ignored. Out of a population of 2.18 million, only 20,000 have been tested. That’s 0.09% of our entire population. We’ve known about this virus since at least December last year, it has been in the US for months, yet we lack so much information.

Some sources say the true mortality rate is:
“In the new analysis, the death rate in confirmed COVID-19 cases is estimated to be 1.38%, while the overall rate, which includes estimated unconfirmed cases, is calculated at .66%.”
https://www.webmd.com/lung/news/20200331/covid-19-death-rate-drops-still-deadly-to-seniors
https://time.com/5798168/coronavirus-mortality-rate/
In this post by Berkeley, they say:
“A comparison of daily deaths in Italy since January 2020 with those over the previous five years there indicates that the fatality rate in that country for those infected with the new coronavirus is at least 0.8%, far higher than that of the seasonal flu and higher than some recent estimates.Extrapolating from the Italian data, University of California, Berkeley, and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory data scientists estimate that the fatality rate in New York City and Santa Clara County in California can be no less than 0.5%, or one of every 200 people infected.”
“The difference, the researchers say, is likely due to many deaths among older people that have not been counted in the official Italian statistics. The team found a much higher fatality rate for those over 70 years of age: In Lombardy, a region hit hard by the pandemic, those between 70 and 79 had a 2.3% infection fatality rate, while those 80 to 89 had an almost 6% fatality rate. Nearly 13% of those over 90 died.In comparison, those 40 to 49 had a 0.04% fatality rate.
In comparison, those 40 to 49 had a 0.04% fatality rate. These differing fatality rates can explain the observed higher number of deaths among younger people in New York City. Because the population there is younger than in Italy, more deaths among young people are expected, despite their lower fatality rate. The researchers predict that about 26% of all deaths from COVID-19 in New York City will be among those younger than 65.
The population of Italy, on the other hand, is older, yielding a higher overall fatality rate for the country’s population: 0.8%, versus 0.5% for New York. Only 10% of Italian deaths will be younger than 65.The team also estimated, based on the predicted fatality rate for those infected with the new coronavirus and the positivity rate for those tested for COVID-19 in New York City, that about one-quarter of that city’s population has been infected with the virus. This agrees with the recent announcement by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo of 21% infection. The team’s predicted infection rate for Santa Clara is around 1%, while that for Los Angeles is around 2%, based on current mortality rates.”
https://news.berkeley.edu/2020/04/24/study-challenges-reports-of-low-fatality-rate-for-covid-19/
So if an area has a higher rate of elderly, they will have a higher fatality rate than an area where the population is young. If a rest home gets hit, it will be devastating, whereas if a nursery gets hit, it’ll probably not even be noticeable, though that doesn’t mean they’re immune, there will be a couple of kids who may need hospital care, and the potential for other side effects that’ll become more apparent later on (still waiting for more studies to be done to confirm this).
There is a lot of fear mongering being pushed on people with all the misinformation out there, and people are actively allowing their governments to become controlling dictatorships out of fear. It is possible to maintain safety measures while opening up businesses so that the economies don’t collapse. We don’t have to go so extreme as to destroy ourselves out of fear. People are going to die one way or another, whether it be from Corona-chan or from a man made famine.
Take the US for instance. Farmers are being made to dump tons of food, perfectly good food, because they’re being told there isn’t a market for it just because certain businesses are closed, like schools. There are plenty of other places that need the food.

https://www.chron.com/news/article/Farmers-seek-help-selling-crops-while-volunteers-15238489.php
My milk.... all of that precious milk...
We do not have to go this far, people. We do not have to go to the extreme! This is fucking ridiculous.
I’ve seen this screenshot going around as well, not sure how accurate it is but if they cut off the supply chain, which is possible, it can be a reality. I’ve talked to more than a few people who have no idea how to keep a store of food to last a few months, and apparently it’s common for people to just have food for a week in the fridge/freezer/pantry. I don’t understand how that’s possible...
On top of all that, the government is overreaching on their control issues, going so far as to turn off electric and water to businesses that refuse to close
https://calepa.ca.gov/2020/04/02/news-release-governor-issues-water-shutoff-order-and-takes-steps-to-maintain-delivery-of-critical-water-services-during-covid-19-crisis/
https://abcnews.go.com/US/small-business-owners-file-suit-gov-newsom-ca/story?id=70365949
Not to mention all of these headlines, like what timeline are we living in that they feel these levels of invasion are necessary? You can fight a virus without going to this length of control!
Not to mention New York itself, like really?
And while I can kinda understand wanting to prevent large parties from happening, they’re going after single people having a walk in the wilderness and arresting them for it, or going after a couple of dudes on a rooftop having a cold one, even boaters are getting arrested, despite practicing social distancing, yet we’re allowed to still go to the store? However, in some places like Michigan, they even have police checking bags for essential items...
Which, btw, is also a point of interest, as being allowed to buy seeds has been banned in many areas, but lotto tickets are still available for purchase. There aren’t near enough articles detailing all the things that people are slowly finding out are being restricted/outlawed, and honestly, the more I see people calling on some random person taking a lone walk around a neighborhood, the more I think of this meme:
In many ways, I’m more concerned with the government destroying us than the virus. Many governments around the world are taking advantage of this to tighten the leash. This is completely unnecessary. The main reason for the lockdown isn’t to prevent people from getting the disease - it’s pretty much just accepted that we will eventually get it - but to lighten the load on hospitals so we don’t end up overloaded like Italy, where they have to decide who to let die. The Netherlands is reportedly doing similar.
“...in the Netherlands as in Belgium, euthanasia has been applied for years, according to the authorities, “voluntary”. However, in Germany, and in France, Spain and Italy, they have received elderly patients from these countries to be cured, not of coronaviruses, but of anything, because they do not trust the hospitals of their country: euthanasia is not Voluntary, they say, nor is it respected - not infrequently - the will of the person to whom euthanasia is applied.”
https://es.aleteia.org/2020/03/28/coronavirus-dejar-a-los-viejos-que-mueran/
I can understand wanting to ease the load on hospitals, but again, house arrest is not necessary. These measures being taken are too extreme. Some governors in the US have eased up on their restrictions, and the number of cases has not risen dramatically like some people spreading fear claimed. Our hospitals are not being overrun with cases.
In fact, the number is going down. Plus, look at the number of beds. It doesn’t mean I want more people to get sick, but we have to be logical about this and think about more than just the illness. We cannot keep letting the government say “money printer go brrrr” (not to mention the insider trading they were doing, like this shit is blatant, the corruption can be cut with a knife)
If we head into another depression, there will be many more millions of people who will die. People in poverty are at most risk for illness in general, and greater health problems, and malnutrition, and they will be the most hit in a depression, obviously. The elderly who get made homeless will basically be guaranteed to suffer badly. We can balance this out so that we can save the economy (as long as it’s not too late) and protect people from the illness as well as keep hospitals from being overloaded. Balance is the best way to protect everyone. I know people seem to have an aversion to moderation for some reason these days, but it really is a good thing here. Balance the needs of everyone.

COVID-19 cases falling (nearly) everywhere (Foreign Policy) New COVID-19 cases and deaths have dropped worldwide for the sixth consecutive week, according to figures compiled by the World Health Organization. The WHO recorded 2.4 million new cases last week, a drop of 11 percent compared to the previous week. The 66,000 deaths last week represented a 20 percent decline. Five out of the six WHO regions now show a consistent downward trend in new cases, although the trendline in the Eastern Mediterranean region remains flat due to continued case increases in Iran and Iraq.
Not to be sniffed at: Agony of post-COVID-19 loss of smell (AP) The doctor slid a miniature camera into the patient’s right nostril, making her whole nose glow red with its bright miniature light. “Tickles a bit, eh?” he asked as he rummaged around her nasal passages, the discomfort causing tears to well in her eyes and roll down her cheeks. The patient, Gabriella Forgione, wasn’t complaining. The 25-year-old pharmacy worker was happy to be prodded and poked at the hospital in Nice, in southern France, to advance her increasingly pressing quest to recover her sense of smell. Along with her sense of taste, it suddenly vanished when she fell ill with COVID-19 in November, and neither has returned. Being deprived of the pleasures of food and the scents of things that she loves are proving tough on her body and mind. Shorn of odors both good and bad, Forgione is losing weight and self-confidence. “Sometimes I ask myself, ‘Do I stink?’” she confessed. “Normally, I wear perfume and like for things to smell nice. Not being able to smell bothers me greatly.” A year into the coronavirus pandemic, doctors and researchers are still striving to better understand and treat the accompanying epidemic of COVID-19-related anosmia—loss of smell—draining much of the joy of life from an increasing number of sensorially frustrated longer-term sufferers like Forgione.
Biden to order sweeping review of U.S. supply chain weak spots (Washington Post) President Biden on Wednesday will formally order a 100-day government review of potential vulnerabilities in U.S. supply chains for critical items, including computer chips, medical gear, electric-vehicle batteries and specialized minerals. The directive comes as U.S. automakers are grappling with a severe shortage of semiconductors, essential ingredients in the high-tech entertainment and navigation systems that fill modern passenger vehicles. Biden’s executive order, which he is scheduled to sign this afternoon, also is aimed at avoiding a repeat of the shortages of personal protective gear such as masks and gloves experienced last year during the early months of the coronavirus pandemic. The president’s order, which had been anticipated, represents the partial fulfillment of a campaign pledge. But mandating a government study will be the easy part. Extensively modifying U.S. supply lines and reducing the country’s dependence upon foreign suppliers—after decades of globalization—could prove difficult and costly.
U.S. seeks to return to U.N. human rights body (Reuters) The United States will seek election to the U.N. Human Rights Council later this year, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Wednesday, marking the Biden administration’s latest international re-engagement. Blinken, addressing the council by recorded video, said that President Joseph Biden’s administration would work to eliminate what he called the Geneva forum’s “disproportionate focus” on U.S. ally Israel. The council, set up in 2006, has a stand-alone item on the Palestinian territories on its agenda every session, the only issue with such treatment, which both Democratic and Republican administrations have opposed.
Freedom of speech the real issue in Spain (Washington Post) Thousands of protesters have taken to the streets in some of Spain’s largest cities every night for a week, often clashing with police. In Barcelona on Saturday, authorities said they detained 38 people and recorded injuries among 13. The anger of the young protesters is centered on the arrest of a man who until recently was an obscure figure: Pablo Rivadulla, a rapper better known by his stage name, Pablo Hasél. But the demonstrations are about far more than one man’s arrest, speaking to growing concern inside and out of Spain about the effect of the country’s anti-terrorism laws and lèse-majesté statutes circumscribing the freedom of expression.
Covid inspires 1,200 new German words (The Guardian) From coronamüde (tired of Covid-19) to Coronafrisur (corona hairstyle), a German project is documenting the huge number of new words coined in the last year as the language races to keep up with lives radically changed by the pandemic. The list, compiled by the Leibniz Institute for the German Language, an organisation that documents German language in the past and present, already comprises more than 1,200 new German words—many more than the 200 seen in an average year. It includes feelings many can relate to, such as overzoomed (stressed by too many video calls), Coronaangst (when you have anxiety about the virus) and Impfneid (envy of those who have been vaccinated). Other new words reveal the often strange reality of life under restrictions: Kuschelkontakt (cuddle contact) for the specific person you meet for cuddles and Abstandsbier (distance beer) for when you drink with friends at a safe distance. The words also capture specific moments during the pandemic. For example, Balkonsänger (balcony singer) is someone who sings to people from their balcony, which was popular during the spring lockdown. Hamsteritis, referring to the urge to stockpile food, was also commonly used at the start of the crisis.
China uses patriotism test to sweep aside last outlet for Hong Kong democracy (Washington Post) Serving as a district councilor in Hong Kong means addressing everyday concerns such as pest control, traffic issues and helping elderly residents pay bills. One of the few perks of the modest office is having a say, alongside tycoons and Beijing loyalists, in choosing Hong Kong’s leader. On Tuesday, Hong Kong’s government announced that anyone running for these local positions will need to be a “patriot”—meaning they must swear loyalty not to their constituents but to Beijing and the Communist Party—as China moves to quash the territory’s last avenue of democracy. The changes, which are expected to be introduced to the legislature—where there is no viable opposition—next month and become law soon thereafter, will trigger the expulsion of several young pro-democracy councilors, even if they read the oath as instructed. Disqualified candidates will be barred from running in any elections for five years. With Tuesday’s announcement, the councils, the only fully democratic body in Hong Kong, fall in line with China’s broader reshaping of a city once known for its boisterous political culture as democratically chosen representatives are replaced with Beijing loyalists.
The Mekong River (Nikkei Asia) There are 60 million people who live along the lower Mekong River, and they were in for a rough surprise in early January when China drastically cut the discharge from the Jinghong Dam in Yunnan Province. The “tests”—which were slated to end January 24—entailed cutting the flow of the river from 1,900 cubic meters per second to just 1,000 cubic meters per second, but the final day of tests came and went and the volume is still down. That this occurred in the middle of the dry season was particularly rough for Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam, countries that depend on the river. China has begun to draw international ire over their management of the river, which it has built 11 large dams on.
A Digital Firewall in Myanmar (NYT) The Myanmar soldiers descended before dawn on Feb. 1, bearing rifles and wire cutters. At gunpoint, they ordered technicians at telecom operators to switch off the internet. For good measure, the soldiers snipped wires without knowing what they were severing, according to an eyewitness and a person briefed on the events. The data center raids in Yangon and other cities in Myanmar were part of a coordinated strike in which the military seized power, locked up the country’s elected leaders and took most of its internet users offline. Since the coup, the military has repeatedly shut off the internet and cut access to major social media sites, isolating a country that had only in the past few years linked to the outside world. The military regime has also floated legislation that could criminalize the mildest opinions expressed online. So far, the Tatmadaw, as the Myanmar military is known, has depended on cruder forms of control to restrict the flow of information. But the army seems serious about setting up a digital fence to more aggressively filter what people see and do online. Such a comprehensive firewall may also exact a heavy price: The internet outages since the coup have paralyzed a struggling economy. Longer disruptions will damage local business interests and foreign investor confidence as well as the military’s own vast business interests.
Iraq’s struggling Christians hope for boost from pope visit (AP) Nasser Banyameen speaks about his hometown of Qaraqosh in the historical heartland of Iraqi Christianity with nostalgia. Before Islamic State group fighters swept through the Nineveh Plains in northern Iraq. Before the militants shattered his sense of peace. Before panicked relatives and neighbors fled, some never to return. Iraq’s Christian communities in the area were dealt a severe blow when they were scattered by the IS onslaught in 2014, further shrinking the country’s already dwindling Christian population. Many hope their struggle to endure will get a boost from a historic visit by Pope Francis planned in March. Among the places on his itinerary is Qaraqosh, where this week Vatican and Iraqi flags fluttered from light poles, some adorned with the pope’s image. Francis’ visit, his first foreign trip since the coronavirus pandemic and the first ever by a pope to Iraq, is a sign that “You’re not alone,” said Monsignor Segundo Tejado Muñoz, the undersecretary of the Vatican’s development office. “There’s someone who is thinking of you, who is with you. And these signs are so important. So important.”
Syria’s economic woes (NYT) In a private meeting with pro-government journalists, President Bashar al-Assad was asked about Syria’s economic meltdown: the currency collapse that has gutted salaries, the skyrocketing prices for basic goods and the chronic shortages of fuel and bread. “I know,” he said, according to two people with knowledge of the discussion. “I know.” But he offered no concrete steps to stem the crisis beyond floating this idea: Television channels should cancel cooking shows so as not to taunt Syrians with images of unattainable food. As the 10-year anniversary of Syria’s civil war looms, Mr. al-Assad’s most immediate threats are not the rebel factions and foreign powers that still control large swaths of the country. Instead, it is the crushing economic crisis that has hobbled the reconstruction of destroyed cities, impoverished the population and left a growing number of Syrians struggling to get enough food. Food prices have more than doubled in the last year. The World Food Program warned this month that 60 percent of Syrians, or 12.4 million people, were at risk of going hungry, the highest number ever recorded.
The Deadliest Middle East Construction Project Since The Pyramids (The Guardian) On December 2, 2010, FIFA announced that Qatar would host the 2022 World Cup —- a first for a Middle East nation. Over the next ten years, thousands of migrant laborers from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka came to Qatar to work on the elaborate preparations for the world’s biggest football tournament. Sadly, during that period at least 6,500 of those workers died, according to an analysis by the Guardian. The findings were compiled from government sources, and mean that an average of 12 migrant workers from the five South Asian nations have died each week since the announcement was made. The total death toll is significantly higher because the figures don’t include deaths from other countries like the Philippines and Kenya that send large numbers of workers to Qatar. Also not included are deaths occurring in the final months of 2020. More deaths have undoubtedly occurred since preparations for the 2022 tournament continue.
The value of housework (Foreign Policy) In a landmark ruling, a Beijing divorce court has ordered a man to pay his wife for five years of unpaid housework during their marriage. The award does not amount to much, roughly $1,100 dollars per year, but marks a new era in Chinese divorce law after the government introduced a new civil code. Under the new code, an aggrieved spouse is entitled to seek compensation if they shouldered more domestic responsibilities—with no prenuptial agreement necessary. The case follows a similar one in Argentina in 2019, when a divorce court ordered a husband to pay his wife of 27 years $179,000 in recognition of her unpaid domestic work. According to Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) figures, Chinese women spend roughly four hours per day on unpaid work—with their U.S. counterparts clocking in nearly the same amount. American men are closer to closing the gap than Chinese men, however. American men spending about 2.5 hours per day on unpaid labor, while Chinese men spend just 1.6 hours.

About: Shishir Bhattarai
Hi
👪👦👦👦👧👦😵😴😴😴😴😾😵👯👰
About Myself
My first blogs was quite interesting and it goes like this
Student's Life During Lockdown
I am a student. My life is very difficult. If you want to know about me and my life then read my blog daily. Today May 9 2003 My name is shishir bhattarai. I am from Nepal. Due to Corona Virus, Schools and colleges are closed and my exam have been postponed which make me fell cry😣😔😔😣📷 I wake up at 7:00 Am. After I wake up i took tea and help my mother to make food. After we had meal we brush our teeth. I started to read book for 1-2 hours because my exam hasn't finished yet. So I should read books 😅😂. At 12:00 clock I started to upload my videos on YouTube as I have just 7 subscribers with 1000 videos but I didn't get any views but also I try.📷 📷 Then in evening I eat rice after having rice. I started to work by writing Read my daily work Am I saw a ghost ? It was just 2:00 clock in the morning when I wake up. I went to bathroom . After coming from bathroom I saw something outside. I looked deeply and I saw man without his head.📷 I shocked and felt much more scared 😬😬 because it was night time and the weather condition was also so bad so I became faint.📷 My mother wake up me. She told me that I was sleeping in the floor. My head was also paining so much. I wanted to knew what I saw yesterday.when I looked there I just saw a tree 🌲🌳🌳🌳 I get pranked In a good languages It was just 2:00 Am When I wake up . I wanted to drink water 😩.I went to kitchen and brought bottle . Suddenly I Saw something. That was like ghost or ghost 💀💀📷mo At that time I felt more scared because It was just 2:00 clock and the weather was also so bad so I thought that this ghost will killed me 😣😔.📷 Then by 🏃 I entered the room. I felt so much scared . Fastly I covered myself with blanket thinking ghost won't catch me.At morning I get shocked. The thing which I thought ghost was just a tree It teaches us that what we look think and look to others, it is not sure that he/she is like that? So we should be good towards others positive toward other so that we can get good response from others in our life. So in my point of view student life are much more difficult and looking and making their life felling lazy In the context of Nepal Class 10 ,Class 11, class 12 exam hasn't started yet. So student are feeling somehow bad because their exam hasn't started and they should read for whole time which makes feeling very much bored and very bad in their life. Just take example of me , I had thought that after completing my see exam I will got there I will go there I thought but that hasn't be success,so what to do due to novel Corona virus it had not been successful. So planning is good but over building of planning is not good. I have make one story Please read this: I was coming from school.itis just 6:30 Pm. I am coming after I arrived home I saw that light had gone Only in my house . I feel something wrong on that. I saw two bikes outsides of my house. Then I entered to my house . Somehow I was feeling terrified. Suddenly crying 😭😭 sound was coming.now I was sure that something was wrong . At that time two people who had gun in their hands. When I saw that I became terrified . I called to police and police came and arrest them
Please comment down how do you feel after reading this story
Please follow our blogs so that when I will write something you will read easily and fastly.

➝ Transcript The Covid-Plan / Rockefeller Lockstep 2010 — Full Text of Permanent World Lockdown Plot
And that is yourNew World Order: technology on steroids where you have no option but to comply. And if anyone thinks that this isn’t true, then go and check out some parts of Chinabecause they’ve already started some of the cryptocurrencies system in place in certain areas. So,this is the outline of their plan. And what we have to stop by outing itin as many places as possible. And also calling out Q and Trump and asking them: Are you going to stop this?Mass arrests are irrelevant. This is essential and this has to be blocked. They hypothesizea simulated global outbreakrequiredsteps, variousphases, overalltimelines, and expected outcomes. This was posited in the Rockefeller Lockstep 2010: ➝ Create a very contagious but super low mortality rate virus to fit theneededplan. Using SARS, HIV, Hybrid Research Strain created at Fort DietrichClass 4 lab from 2008 to 2013 as part of a research project to find out why corona viruses spread like wildfire inbatsbut have an extremely hard time infecting humans. To counteract that, they added 4 HIVinserts into the virus. Themissing key to infect the human is the Ace-2-Receptor. ➝ Create a weaponized version of the virus with a much higher mortality rate as a backup plan. Ready to be released in Phase 3,but only if needed. SARS, HIV, MERS, Weaponized Tribit Strain created at Fort Dietrich Class 4lab in 2015. ➝ Transport the Research Strain to different Class 4 lab,the National Microbiology Lab in Winnipeg Canada, and have it “stolen and smuggled out by China”,Xi Jang Lee,on purpose and taken to China’s only Class 4 lab which is Wuhan Institute of Virology in Wuhan China. For added plausible deniabilityand to help cement thewanted backup public script as something to fall back on if needed. The primary script being its natural.Backup script being that China created it and released it by accident. ➝ Fund all the talking heads:Fauci, Birx, Tedrosand agencies, World Health Organization, NIAID, the CDC and also the UN,that would be involved with pandemic response prior to the planned release of the Research Strain to control the wanted script throughout the operation. ➝ Create and fund the vaccination development and roll out plan so it’s capable of being rolled out on a global scale.Gates: ADecade of Vaccines and the Global Action Vaccine action plan, 2010to 2020. ➝ Create and fund the vaccination, verification and certificationprotocols, Digital ID,to enforce/confirm the vaccination program after the mandatory roll out is enacted.Gates:ID2020. ➝ Simulate the lockstephypothesisjust prior to the planned Research Strain release using a real-world exercise as a final war game to determine expected response, timelines, and outcomes, Event 201in Oct 2019. ➝ Release the Research Strain at the Wuhan Instituteof Virology itselfand then blame its release on a natural scapegoatas thewanted primary script.Wuhan wet market, Nov 2019. Exactly the same as the simulation. ➝ Downplay the human-to-human transmission for as long as possible to allow the Research Strain to spread on a global scale before any country can lock downrespondto avoid initial infection. ➝ Once a countryhas seen infection in place, lock downincoming/outgoing travel. Keep the transmission within the country spreading for as long as possible. ➝ Once enough peoplein a country/ regionare infected, enact forced quarantines/isolation for that area and expandthe lockdown regions slowly over time•Overhype the mortality rate by tying the Research Strain todeaths that have little to nothing to do with the actual virus to keep the fear and compliance at a maximum. ➝ If anyone dies for any reason and is foundto have Covid, consider it a Covid death. And if anyone is thought to of maybe had symptoms of Covid, assume they have Covid, and consider it as a Covid death. ➝ Keep the public quarantines for as long as possible to destroy the region’s economy, create civil unrest, break down the supply chain, and cause the start of mass food shortages. As well as cause people’s immune system to weaken due to a lack of interaction with other people’s bacteria, the outside world, akathe things that keep our immune systems alert and active. ➝ Downplay and attack any potential treatments and continue to echothat the only cure that is viable to fight this virus is the vaccine. ➝ Continue to drag out the quarantine over and over again in “two-week intervals”[There is that two weeksspellcastingagain. It is a CIA program.] causingmore and more people toeventuallystand up and protest. Defy them. ➝ [And here is the key part to now:] Eventually end Phase 1quarantine once they get enough public push back, expected June 2020, and publicly state that they think it’s “too early to end the isolation, but I’m going to do it anyways.” ➝ Once the public go back to normal, wait a few weeks and continue to overhype the Research Strain mortality rate, Aug to Sept 2020, and combine it with the increase in deaths due to people dying fromstandard illnessesat a higher rate than normal due to having highly weakened immune systems from months of being in isolation [Which backs up what I said:you should social-distance peoplewho wear masks regular. That’s what they’vejust told you.Theyhave highly weakened immune systems.] to help further pad the mortality rate and also hype theup and coming Phase 2 lockdown. ➝ Eventually, enact Phase 2quarantines,Oct throughNov 2020, on an even more extreme level and blame the protesters, mostly people who don’t trust their governments already,as the cause of the largest second wave whereby themedia will say‘we told you so.It was too early. It’s all your own fault because you neededa haircut. Your freedoms have consequences.’ [Should this all unfold in this manner, the US election will be cancelleddelayed or suspended. My opinion. How can you vote with Phase 2 quarantines? You can’t.] ➝ Enforce the Phase 2 quarantines at a much more extremelevelincreasing the penalty for defiance. Replace fines with jail time. Deem all travel as non-essential.Increase checkpoints, including military assistance. Increase tracking/tracing after populationvia mandatory app. Take over control offood, gas, and create large scale shortages so that people can only get access to essential products or services if they are first given permission. ➝ Keep the Phase 2 lockdown in place for amuch longer period of time than the Phase 1 lockdown, continuingto destroy the global economy.Further degrade the supply chain and further amplify the food shortages and the like.Quell any public outrage using extreme actions or forceand make anyone who defies them appear as public enemy #1 to those who are willing to submit. ➝ After a rather long Phase 2 lockdown of 6 months plus, roll out the vaccination program and the vaccine certification and make it mandatory for everyone, giving priority access to those that submitted from the startand have those that are for itattack those that are against it, saying they are a threat and the cause of all the problems’by using words like “We can’t go back to normal until everyone takes the vaccine.” And people defying them are “hurting our way of lifeand therefore are the enemy.”[In other words they are going to turn the people against each other.] ➝ If the majority of people go along with the agenda, then let those people enter the new system, the new normal, while limiting the minority that defied the agenda’s ability to work, travel and live. ➝ If the majority of people go against the agenda, then release the Weaponized SARS/HIV/MERS Tribit Strainas a Phase 3 operation. A virus with a 30+% mortality rateas a final scare to punish the minority to quickly become the majority and give a final “We told you so” to those that didn’t listen. ➝ Enact the new economy model. protests
In my city, there have not been any protests that I can attend. This is basically the list of dos and don’ts I would have wanted to have seen if I was protesting. A lot of the information that is being circulated around social media that, though well intentioned, is incorrect or harmful. Keep yourself safe while protesting.
WHEN ATTENDING THE PROTEST
*Please don't assume that just because you're protesting, the Corona Virus has taken a break. You never know who might be positive or a carrier, so make sure you have a mask on at all times (bring multiple, in case one is contaminated), bring sanitizers and use it after you touch anything.
*Always keep your mask on, especially if you're chanting, yelling or speaking loudly, because it releases more droplets and increases the risk of spreading COVID-19. Do your best to keep a distance.
*Use plywood, or any other hard object, to make your signs on, this way, if the police start shooting rubber bullets, your signs can act as shields.
PROTECTION AGAINST TEAR GAS
*If you come into contact with mace or tear gas, DO NOT rub or touch your face and eyes, it will only rub the chemicals in and burn more.
*To diffuse the tear gas faster, put a traffic cone on top of it and then pour water through the top.
*You could use heat resistant gloves to throw the tear gas cannister away (or towards the police).
*Take multiple bottles of water to pour on your eyes, if you do get affected by the tear gas, and to hydrate.
*Carry water in a bottle with a squirt top.
*Chilled milk will help wash away the tear gas from the skin. Do not pour milk directly into your eyes, if you are tear gassed, all milk is contaminated and can lead to eye diseases.
*Wear swimming goggles to protect your eyes form the tear gas.
*DO NOT wear contact lenses.
*Leaf blowers can help blow away the tear gas.
*Do not wear makeup, because the oils present in the make-up can help the tear gas cling to the skin.
PROTECTING YOUR PHONE
*Use encrypted messages to assemble and keep in touch with your friends, the 'Signal' app encrypts your messages. DON'T ASSEMBLE USING SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS.
*There will be signal jammers present, but they can't jam your signal if it is 5G. Keep your hotspot on if you do have a 5G signal. If you don't, go to your settings and manually choose a signal, any that is different from your usual one.
*Do not post your location on social media.
*Do not click 'attending' on the protest events on Facebook. The police can use this to make arrests.
*Disable location services on all your apps because they will track you in the background.
*Don't put your phone on airplane mode so you can still be reached by your friends.
*Disable facial ID or fingerprint unlock on your phone, use a passcode only. The police have been known to force people to unlock their phone using these.
*Leave your phone locked when you're filming or taking pictures and wipe the metadata from your phone by taking a screenshot of the photos and posting the screenshots.
*Wear multiple layers, stay covered. Make sure you wear closed toe shoes.
*Keep all tattoos, identifiable marks and distinguishing features covered so that face trackers cannot identify you.
IF YOU ARE ARRESTED
*Carry the exact amount of cash you will need for bail money.
*If you need any medication, carry it in a clearly labelled bottle.
*Do not wear any jewellery. Make sure that there is no metal in the hair accessories you use.
*Do not resist arrest, know your rights and contact your lawyer.
*Write down an emergency contact's phone number on your skin. DO NOT write the numbers of the people who were at the protest with you, it may help the police identify them. You could also write the number of the local lawyers who are known to support the movement.
IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND
*Keep food prepared for the people who have attended because they will be physically drained.
*Keep a first aid kit ready in case they are injured.
*Be an emergency contact to your friend and family who have attended.
*Keep a substantial amount of chilled milk ready, so people can wash off the tear gas off the skin, but avoid getting the milk in your eyes.
*You will need to wash the clothes that the protester wore at least twice, to get off any residual tear gas or germs and viruses.

The contrasting figures emerged even as the country's apex medical body ICMR announced its plan to launch the world's first COVID-19 vaccine, the indigenously developed COVAXIN, by 15 August. Experts, however, said such a timeline may not be realistic. In the meantime, Union HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal aannounced that the JEE and NEET exams have been postponed to September in view of the coronavirus pandemic, while the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) decided to suspend all the international flight operations in the country till 31 July. Friday also saw Goa re-opening its doors for domestic tourists and Himachal Pradesh said that it would allow entry of tourists with conditions such as a test report showing negative for COVID-19 and a prior hotel booking of at least five days. AP COVID-19 vaccine by 15 August, says ICMR India's apex medical body ICMR said Friday that it has identified 12 clinical trial sites, including medical institutions and hospitals, and has asked their principal investigators to ensure that the subject enrolment is initiated no later than 7 July. The trial sites included AIIMS, New Delhi, AIIMS, Patna and SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre in Tamil Nadu. In its letter to principal investigators of the 12 sites, ICMR Director General Dr Balram Bhargava noted that the clinical trial of Covaxin is one of the "top priority projects which is being monitored at the top-most level of the government". However, it is not clear how the clinical trials can be completed and the vaccine released on 15 August when the normal period for a vaccine to be approved is 12 to 18 months. Several experts have questioned the ICMR's timeline, asking if the efficacy of the vaccine is "pre-decided" and cautioned it from applying "excess pressure". Over seven vaccines are being researched in India and only Bharat Biotech's COVAXIN and Zydus' ZyCoV-D have got the go-ahead to start human clinical trials, just this week. Globally, over 100 candidates are being tested on humans but no vaccine has yet been approved. Speaking to Firstpost, Bharat Biotech chairman Dr Krishna Ella, said said that COVAXIN was reported to be safe and immunogenic in all animals. "We have now moved forward towards the clinical development of this vaccine," he added. Phase 1 and 2 clinical trials of Covaxin in COVID-19 patients will begin this month. According to PTI, Zydus said that is planning to initiate the clinical trials in July 2020 across multiple sites in India in over 1,000 subjects, however, the company did not say when the vaccine will be ready for commercial use, unlike Covaxin, which is targeting for release on 15 August. The vaccine candidate, ZyCoV-D, showed a "strong immune response" in animal studies, and the antibodies produced were able to completely neutralise the wild type virus, Zydus said. RIP hero Dr. Simon Hercules, a 55-year-old neurosurgeon. I condemn attacks against the burial of a doctor who died of Covid19. My deepest condolences to all of Dr. Simon's family and friends. . While the nation repeatedly saluted Frontline healthcare workers for their service during the carnivorous pandemic, one doctor in Tamil Nadu was robbed of dignity even in death. . On 19 April, 55-year-old neurosurgeon, Dr Simon Hercules, also the MD of New Hope Hospital in Chennai, passed away on Sunday after having tested positive for COVID-19 earlier. At around 9 pm, his family & fellow doctors, officials from Chennai's municipal corporation, were on their way to a burial ground when they were diverted to a second place. When they approached the burial ground at TP Chathram, people surrounded them. Sticks and stones were thrown at those already grieving the death of their father, their colleague, their friend and they left healthcare workers bleeding. . Police said the people feared the burial would spread the virus. Dr. Simon Hercules was later buried in the presence of police security, but without his family members being around. Police have arrested 20 persons for rioting and attempt to murder while opposing the burial of a doctor who died of Covid-19. . Meantime, Vijayakanth sir who has offered a portion of land near a college owned by his family to bury the coronavirus victims.

Battling with Invisible Enemies (1) Could It Be World War 3?
When I first heard about the novel coronavirus at the end of January, I felt it would be the most terrible disease in my life. Patients in China suddenly lost consciousness and passed within a few days, which happened to quite healthy people. At that time, I was going to book a cabin hotel in Shinjuku to take my accounting test on February 1.
Ominous Instinct
I usually stay at a cabin hotel since it’s cheaper than an ordinary non-smoking single room, but this time, I thought it dangerous to stay in Shinjuku, where I heard rich Chinese tourists visited to get face masks and anti-virus necklaces in bulk as souvenirs for their family or neighbors. Unfortunately, some of them were not very well but managed to complete their itineraries with their precious souvenirs. This was the very first news I heard about the dreadful COVID-19, which completely changed my commuting style to Tokyo ever since. I thought by my hunch that riding trains or busses is fatal, because I might encounter coronavirus carriers with no symptoms there. I drove all the way to my correspondence university campus, stayed at a non-smoking single room in Itabashi Ward (a northwest suburb from the metroplitan area) on the way, which cost me 3500 yen for speedway and 5500 for accomodation and light meals. Of course, I wore a (disposable) mask and an anti-virus necklace during the test time. Wearing a mask in early February is common in Japan before COVID-19 was introduced; Japanese often suffer from the flu or hay fever, so they tend to stockpile masks for health reasons. After finishing my accounting test, I felt my sink-or-swin battle with coronavirus has started. Teachers mustn’t catch it not only for themselves but also for public safety. I decided not to take trains, busses or any public transportation until the coronavirus pandmic ends.
My favorite drugstore has weekly sale on Mondays, so I usually buy tissues, toiletries in bulk. From January to April, I also get some boxes of masks there, but this year the situation was completely different. I scarcely bought the last boxed mask on February 3 if I remember correctly; I’ve almost never seen masks there ever since, except small packages of ones (5 on average in a plastic bag) are alloted to 15 customers on average just occasionally. My family members even say getting surgical masks is like winning the lottery.
Too Contagious to Call a Virus
Two days after assessment tests at my correspondence university, more and more coronavirus patients in Japan were reported. At first, they were mainly Chinese tourists traveling by chartered buses, but about a week later, the local bus driver and the tour guide got sick and were tested positive for coronavirus. Since they lived far from my residence, I thought I was safe unless I traveled by a train or a long-distance bus, but the situation was worsened much more rapidly than I expected: the endemic on a cruise ship named “Diamond Princess”. A few passengers got sick with pneumonia symptoms on the ship, which stuck in Yokohama to quarantine all passengers for the maximum of two weeks until hospitals and embassys got ready.
In the middle of February, new victims who got the virus by community transmission have been frequently reported. This means Covid-19 has spread as widely as common cold, in other words, a person with just one minor symptom such as sore throat, cough, headache, or exhaustion might be affected by coronavirus. It’s become tremendously difficult for experienced doctors to distinguish Covid-19 cases from other minor diseases like common cold and hay fever.
Some coronavirus carriers with no symptom tend to transmit their virus to other people and also to their pet dogs or cats, which makes the situation severer than other virus’ cases. On the other hand, there are quite a few patients who were tested negative but have been suffering from high fever, exhaution, and difficulty in breathing. It’s natural even for doctors and researchers to overlook how many victims there are precisely and fail to pinpoint hot spots. To make things worse, no effective medication for the virus hasn’t found yet.
Since then, I’ve started watching YouTube video clips about coronavirus warning because I feel it’s too late to wait for official announcements from the government. I was terribly shocked when I watched a couple of video messages from Japanese freelancers working in China and Italian professor teaching at a university in Osaka; both said “we’re in the warfare against coronavirus.” Their words really impressed me, and I decided to do my current best to back up medical staff in Japan; I’ve not gotten upset when I see “Masks sold out. TBO” signs at supermarkets and drugstores ever since. Using disposable masks less for citizens will lead to bring more masks to medical staff and hospitalized patients.
Evacuate Your Home
The more patients are reported, the more details of coronavirus have been revealed, which often threaten all people. These are said main traits of COVID-19:
Majority of the virus carriers show just light symptoms or no symptoms
No medication so far
Extreme longevity in the air or on the surface of products
Being transmitted by casual contacts such as hugging or handshaking
Other Asian countries’ police can arrest citizens who go out without masks, whereas the leaders of European countries strongly encourage citizens to stay at home. Compared to the higene policies of other countries, Japan PM seems to juggle “lowering the curve” and economic vitality, which lowers his reputation.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2020/world/corona-simulator/
The above is the most trustworthy article about how to address COVID-19 until effective medication and vaccination establish. Strictly limiting the number of people who work or study out of home logically works very well to prevent potential victims, which seems a bit unrealistic. The reason is keeping people healthy in the pandemic and giving up outdoor activities are trade-offs.
Daily lives during lockdown look like an endurance competition, which no one can tell how long will last.
“Severe restriction of our freedom by a centralized government is neccesary for the sake of people’s lives”
would be the new world’s commonsense after this pandemic ends.

Tax cuts for the wealthy aren’t trickling down (CBS News) Do tax cuts for the wealthy really help the overall economy and “trickle down” to everyone else? It’s not a trickle question. David Hope of the London School of Economics and Julian Limberg of King’s College London examined 18 developed countries and did the math. “Per capita gross domestic product and unemployment rates were nearly identical after five years in countries that slashed taxes on the rich and in those that didn’t, the study found. But the analysis discovered one major change: The incomes of the rich grew much faster in countries where tax rates were lowered. Instead of trickling down to the middle class, tax cuts for the rich may not accomplish much more than help the rich keep more of their riches and exacerbate income inequality.” 50 years of tax cuts for the rich failed to trickle down.
Suspected Russian Cyberattack Strikes at Heart of U.S. Government (Foreign Policy) As more details are revealed about Russia’s alleged hack of the U.S. government, it’s becoming clear that the breach is much worse than previously thought. On Thursday, the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency warned that is “poses a grave risk” to federal, state, and local governments as well as private companies and organizations. There is a growing list of reported victims: the Centers for Disease Control, the Defense Department, State Department, Commerce Department, Department of Homeland Security, Treasury Department, the U.S. Postal Service, the National Institutes of Health, and the Department of Energy were all affected. “This is, I think, appears to be at this point the most serious cyberattack this country has ever endured,” Sen. Angus King, I-Maine said on NPR. Microsoft, which is helping to respond to the hack, noted that “the attack unfortunately represents a broad and successful espionage-based assault on both the confidential information of the U.S. Government and the tech tools used by firms to protect them … ongoing investigations reveal an attack that is remarkable for its scope, sophistication and impact.”
California hospitals buckle as virus cases surge (AP) Hospitals across California have all but run out of intensive care beds for COVID-19 patients, ambulances are backing up outside emergency rooms, and tents for triaging the sick are going up as the nation’s most populous state emerges as the latest epicenter of the U.S. outbreak. On Thursday, California reported a staggering 52,000 new cases in a single day—equal to what the entire U.S. was averaging in mid-October—and a one-day record of 379 deaths. More than 16,000 people are in the hospital with the coronavirus across the state, more than triple the number a month ago. Patients are being cared for at several overflow locations, including a former NBA arena in Sacramento, a former prison and a college gymnasium.
‘Unbelievable’ snowfall blankets parts of the Northeast (AP) The Northeast’s first whopper snowstorm of the season buried parts of upstate New York under more than 3 feet (1 meter) of snow, broke records in cities and towns across the region, and left plow drivers struggling to clear the roads as snow piled up at more than 4 inches (10 centimeters) per hour. “It was a very difficult, fast storm and it dropped an unbelievable amount of snow,” Tom Coppola, highway superintendent in charge of maintaining 100 miles (160 kilometers) of roads in the Albany suburb of Glenville, said Thursday. “It’s to the point where we’re having trouble pushing it with our plows.” The storm dropped 30 inches (76 centimeters) on Glenville between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. Thursday, leaving a silent scene of snow-clad trees, buried cars and laden roofs when the sun finally peeked through at noon. Much of Pennsylvania saw accumulations in the double digits. Boston had more than 9 inches (23 centimeters) of snow early Thursday morning.
1 in 5 prisoners in the US has had COVID-19, 1,700 have died (AP) One in every five state and federal prisoners in the United States has tested positive for the coronavirus, a rate more than four times as high as the general population. In some states, more than half of prisoners have been infected, according to data collected by The Associated Press and The Marshall Project. As the pandemic enters its 10th month—and as the first Americans begin to receive a long-awaited COVID-19 vaccine—at least 275,000 prisoners have been infected, more than 1,700 have died and the spread of the virus behind bars shows no sign of slowing. New cases in prisons this week reached their highest level since testing began in the spring, far outstripping previous peaks in April and August. As the virus spreads largely unchecked behind bars, prisoners can’t social distance and are dependent on the state for their safety and well-being.
Shut down by corona, Berlin restaurant opens for homeless (AP) The coronavirus pandemic hasn’t made life on the streets of Berlin any easier for Kaspars Breidaks. For three months, the 43-year-old Latvian has faced homeless shelters operating at reduced capacity so that people can be kept at a safe distance from one another. And with fewer Berliners going outdoors, it’s much harder to raise money by panhandling or collecting bottles to sell for recycling. But on a chilly winter morning this week Breidaks found himself with a free hot meal and a place to warm up, after the German capital’s biggest restaurant, the Hofbraeu Berlin—itself closed down due to coronavirus lockdown restrictions—shifted gears to help the homeless. It was a clear win-win proposition, said Hofbraeu manager Bjoern Schwarz. As well as helping out the homeless during tough times the city-funded project also gives needed work to employees—and provides the restaurant with welcome income. In cooperation with the city and two welfare organizations, the restaurant quickly developed a concept to take in up to 150 homeless people in two shifts every day until the end of the winter, and started serving meals on Tuesday.
Japan: Snow traps 1,000 drivers in frozen traffic jam (BBC) Rescuers are trying to free more than 1,000 vehicles which have been stranded on a highway for two days after a heavy snow storm struck Japan. Authorities have distributed food, fuel and blankets to the drivers on the Kanetsu expressway, which connects the capital Tokyo to Niigata, in the north. The snow, which began on Wednesday evening, has caused multiple traffic jams along the road. Officials have been using a combination of heavy machinery and physical labour to dig out the vehicles one by one, but around 1,000 cars were still stranded on the road as of Friday noon.
‘Nightmare’ Australia Housing Lockdown Called Breach of Human Rights (NYT) The sudden lockdown this summer of nine public housing towers in Melbourne that left 3,000 people without adequate food and medication and access to fresh air during the city’s second coronavirus wave breached human rights laws, an investigation found. The report, released on Thursday by the ombudsman in the state of Victoria, of which Melbourne is the capital, said that the residents had been effectively placed under house arrest for 14 days in July without warning. It deprived them of essential supports, as well as access to activities like outdoor exercise, the report said. The lockdown was not “compatible with residents’ human rights, including their right to humane treatment when deprived of liberty,” Deborah Glass, the Victorian ombudsman, wrote. The report recommended the state government apologize publicly to tower residents, as well as improve relationships and procedures at similarly high-risk accommodations in the city so that they might be better prepared for future outbreaks. Though Australia has won global praise for successfully slowing the spread of the coronavirus in the country, the report was a scathing rebuke of state officials’ decision to apply stringent measures to the public housing residents, who said they felt trapped and traumatized and suspected discrimination. Several described it as a “nightmare.”
Fiji says two dead as powerful cyclone tears across Pacific nation (Reuters) A powerful cyclone pounded Fiji, killing two people and leaving a trail of destruction across the Pacific Island nation, authorities said on Friday. Cyclone Yasa, a top category five storm, made landfall over Bua province on the northern island of Vanua Levu on Thursday evening, bringing torrential rain, widespread flooding and winds of up to 285 km per hour (177 miles) across the archipelago. Scores of houses were destroyed, while power was cut to some areas and roads blocked by fallen trees and flash flooding, authorities said. Officials with the Red Cross said authorities were scrambling to help affected communities. Adverse weather has hampered efforts by aid groups to dispatch assistance, with waves of more than 3 metres (10 ft) preventing ships leaving Suva.
Radio stations may be the real “e-learning” revolution (Rest of World) The impact of a student’s socioeconomic status on their access to education during the pandemic is playing out globally, exposing just how closely tied internet access is to educational opportunity. In Sub-Saharan Africa, over 85% of households lack access to the internet at home and 89% of students do not have access to a computer outside of school. On the African continent, expensive and unreliable internet reaches only 40% of the population. Many governments, companies, and NGOs think that throwing millions of dollars behind providing tablets is the best way to improve the quality of education, but this impulse overlooks infrastructural issues like access to the internet, teacher training, and the cost of upkeep that students need to use the tablets in the first place. “Even if we did have a device for every student, they would have nowhere to charge them,” Reshma Patel, the executive director of Impact Network, a nonprofit that provides education for over 6,000 kids in rural Zambia through community schools, told Rest of World. Impact-run schools adapted radio lessons, since a majority of their students live in homes without electricity. Faced with the shutdown of the 43 schools she supervises, Patel relied on the “forgotten stepchild of tech interventions” to reach students: radio. On the continent, radio has long been a window to the external world. Shoeshoe Qhu works as the station manager at Voice of Wits 88.1 FM, a university radio station in Johannesburg, South Africa. She grew up in a mountainous village of 100 homesteads without electricity or running water. While there wasn’t television, there was radio. As long as her family had access to batteries and a receiver, it was free. “If you wanted to hear what was happening everywhere else, you could only get it through the radio,” Qhu said. “I grew up with radio, and it gave me access to the world,” she added. “It meant everything.”
Watch those passwords (NYT) Dutch hacker Victor Gevers claims to have logged in to President Trump’s Twitter account six years ago by guessing the password: “yourefired.” Then he did it again. On Oct. 16, Gevers, 44, made an accurate guess, “maga2020!,” on his fifth try, according to Dutch prosecutors. Hacking is a crime in the Netherlands. But on Wednesday, Dutch officials said they would not press charges because Gevers had met the bar for “responsible disclosure,” demonstrating how easy it could be to gain access to the U.S. president’s handle: @realdonaldtrump.

The Unessay
If we look into the concept of Gender Essentialism, another terminology of biological determinism, we can simply distinguish differences between men and women since the Essentialism embodies the belief that human behaviors are “naturally” predetermined by genetic, biological or physiological mechanisms and thus not subject to change (Module 3 class lecture video). This concept explains the various roles that different genders play at first in society, but with the rapid development, more social resources are prone to be achievable to women, and meanwhile women were not satisfied to be tagged with what men or society want to impose on them. Seemly, the gender barriers that Essentialism once created become unclear, then we witness the history of three waves of feminism, all of them were trying to pursue gender equality.
Gender equality has always been considered a necessary human right. We need to know that such revolutionary success today was achieved by countless women's rights activists who fought against social doubt and continued to work hard year after year. For instance, in the history of China's feudal dynasties, the role of women and value of their existence was to please the Kings at that time. Most of them could not control their own fate and were even bought and sold like commodities. By the Time of the Republic of China, the society favored "Foot binding", a Chinese custom of breaking and tightly binding the feet of young girls in order to change their shape and size, and women suffer physically and mentally from this abuse. When the wave of feminist movement spread in new China, many feminists were accused of endangering social security and arrested as "spies subverting state power"(Fincher, China’s Feminist Five), which shows that the movement of gender equality has never been smooth. The right of gender equality is the cornerstone of any prosperous and sustainable world. Over the last decades, there have been steady steps to achieve gender parity. Fewer cases of girls being forced into early marriages are reported even as more girls join schools. Today, more women are elected in the leadership positions and better laws championing gender parity continue to be formulated. In the coming years, continuing this trend will herald even more significant steps toward this critical initiative.
Sadly, despite all these tremendous steps, so many challenges still abound: oppressive social norms and discriminatory legislation continue to afflict so many women. For instance, women continue to face a lot of under-representation in leadership positions in many parts of the world. More worrying are the statistics that 1 in five women and girls aged between 15 and 49 are subjected to physical and sexual violence by their male partners every year. These factors continue to hamper efforts toward realizing gender equality and call upon societies to continue putting in place measures to improve women's representation in leadership positions and contain gender-based violence targeted at women and girls.
The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and its resultant impacts has, however, slowed the quest for gender equality and women's rights extensively. Instead, this global pandemic has aggravated the existing inequalities for women and girls in every aspect of life, such as security, economy, social protection, and health. For societies that still observe retrogressive social practices and norms, the disease has dealt a triple blow in the quest for meaningful engagement on gender parity issues.
Women play a critical role in responding to the Corona-virus and are the most recognizable faces in the fight against the scourge, especially at home. Their efforts have intensified due to school closures, lock-down measures, and older adults' rising needs. Women have also borne the brunt of the economic consequences of the scourge, considering that most of them are employed in very unpredictable labor markets (Landivar, 2020). Most government directives aimed at curbing the spread of the disease have targeted the closure of such labor markets. An estimated 60 per cent of women are employed in the informal sector, and such directives could efficiently dispatch them into poverty.
The scourge has also exacerbated violence against girls and women. This has resulted mainly from government lock-down measures that have seen more women and girls entrapped at home with their abusers. They have also been cut off from getting essential services dear to their health and wellbeing. Sexual violence and exploitation have also risen steadily as sexual predators take advantage of the ravaging poverty resulting from these measures and the availability of schoolgirls in places where governments have shut down schools. Latest data indicate that since the outbreak of the scourge, there has been a steady rise in domestic violence against women and girls.
But government agencies also continue to be criticized for allegedly abetting this vice, particularly in parts of Asia and Africa. In the Asian context, for instance, women are expected to play a peripheral role in running the family affairs, with the men holding the final say in critical decision making. Ordinarily, this is likely to result in disagreements, especially if the woman feels that the man is not making the right decision. This is where violence sets in. Once the woman has been attacked, she is expected to nurse her pain inwardly because reporting the same to the police comes with very little help. In most instances, the police will comfort her and tell her to go back to her abuser without trying to arrest him.
Azra Haniya is one victim who her husband battered for questioning his spending priorities at the height of Covid-19 in 2020 in Pakistan.
"I asked him why he was wasting so much money on gambling when there weren't enough foodstuffs in the house and a looming lockdown. He felt offended that I was challenging his authority and whipped me endlessly with a gas pipe. It was not the first time he was doing this to me. I sought help from the local police station, but the male police in charge told me I was in the wrong. And so I just went back home and forgot about the incidence altogether," she told the Voice of Asia radio station.
The situation is no different in Africa, where domestic violence has been the order of the day since the pandemic broke out. Just like in Asia, the African societal set-up is mainly patriarchal, with men being the critical decision-makers on family affairs. Tough economic times coupled with a lack of jobs in most African countries have, however, seen more women take up the role of fending for their families. But even in such conditions, they are not expected to initiate any idea without consulting their husbands.
Her husband attacked Nancy Kacuringa for selling the family goat when she lost her job after the Ugandan government shut down the hotel industry in 2021 to contain the spread of the Coronavirus.
"I was running a small kiosk on the outskirts of Jinja town. When the Covid-19 pandemic struck, the government of Uganda ordered the closure of hotels and eateries. I had no choice but to close down and go back to the village. I had purchased some goats from my little savings, so I decided to sell one of them because of the tough economic situation. But my husband attacked me when he learnt that I had sold the goat. When I told him that I intended to use the proceeds to start an egg business to supplement his income, he whipped me even more," she narrated to "Stop the Slap ", a non-governmental organization committed to gender-based violence in East Africa.
Like Azra, Nancy reported her husband to the Ugandan authorities, but very little was done. The husband was summoned and asked a few questions and was later released. Nancy says she continues to live in fear, especially now that they are trapped inside their single-room house in the village.
The United Nations continues to express fears that the gains that have been made towards achieving gender parity over the years could easily be rolled back by the ravages of the Covid-19 pandemic. In light of all these, the body asks member states to put girls and women at the heart of their recovery efforts. This they can do by ensuring that every recovery initiative takes cognizance of the gender impacts of the scourge and outlines immediate and responsive mitigation steps.

Perks of a Digital Citizen
I am Rhea Lou Fabella, a 2nd yr student taking Bachelor of Secondary Education: Major in English and I am studying at College of Sciences, Technology and Communications, Inc. Being a student was never easy. You need to be responsible enough to submit your requirements before or on time and you need to make sure you need to get good grades and if possible high grades. That just not stop there, in today’s current situation, we had a major hindrance towards claiming our achievements and freedom. Around year 2019 when Corona Virus (COVID 19) had began and caused a lot of deaths to people world wide. With this pandemic slowly coming to our country which is the Philippines, we had to stop our education for at least a year to prevent getting a virus. After several months, the DepEd and CHED had both agreed that we students should continue our studies despite pandemic with the new educational system. They gave us an option whether to study on a modular form of through online and I chose online education.
I know being a college student is hard specially if you do not have the guidance of the teacher as you study. The subjects we are encountering at our college years is not like the subjects we had encountered at our high school and senior high life. Plus, because of this pandemic that we are facing right now, we must be globally competitive especially with using technology and these media’s that we have never used before. Since almost every person in the world now is using technology as tool for studying, working, etc., many people takes advantage of it and uses it for unforgivable sins that may deteriorate one’s identity and privacy. Even the hacking of banks accounts, social media accounts, cyberbullying, child pornography and many more. We are all a digital citizen, who isn’t right? All of these people must know how to use technology and is already a digital citizen. Being a digital citizen means that we are respecting the privacy of others' social media since it has nothing to do with our lives and it will not affect nor harm anyone. We also must appropriately use these technologies and never take it for granted, therefore we must limit ourselves because we also have a life in the outside world were we bond with other people and communicate with each other personally. We must always be positive and be careful of sites or people who has bad intentions with us and our accounts. We must not trust them so easily because it might lead to all kinds of danger and we might not know how to get out of it. Whenever we use websites and links for our assignments, projects, presentation and work related stuffs, we must, at all cost look for the most reliable and a website full of facts and is secured enough to use it as our references so that we cannot be arrested for plagiarism.
A digital citizen must know his/her responsibilities and be an image to these people for them to stop this malicious acts. We must take precautions in using and and never ever taken anything and anyone for granted just because you are inferior to them either in the real world or in the digital world. Valuing what you know, how can you go far in the digital world will give you peace of mind. You have all the time in the world to learn more about technology and on how to use it ethically. Protect yourself at all cost! Learn how to use and and on how to prevent anything that will lead you your downfall, speak up and help others out there to also be protected from the sins of those taking technology and social media for granted. Again this is your future teacher awaiting for you to open your eyes and be a wise digital citizen signing out! Peace out everyone!

What Impacted COVID-19 on Aircraft Seat Actuation System Market ?
Impact of COVID-19 on Aircraft Seat Actuation System Market in Automotive Industry
The COVID-19 pandemic has influenced the whole planet with its major impacts on the economy and businesses across the globe. The COVID-19 spread worldwide in unprecedented ways due to its high infectious and contagious nature and lack of availability of its vaccine. As a result, the greatest medical challenge in the 21st century is yet to be faced by physicians worldwide. Though the emergence of the virus can be traced back to Asia, many European countries along with the U.S. have been struck massively by the pandemic. The virus has spread across all regions ranging from North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa up to South America. The COVID-19 has been declared as a pandemic by World Health Organization (WHO) due to its increased spread across the globe. After the declaration of the pandemic, various countries announced the complete lockdown such as India, China, and other Asian countries to decrease its spread. According to the situation report of 7th June, 2021 by WHO stated 174 million cases of the corona have been reported globally and 3.7 million patients are dead due to the coronavirus. On a slightly positive note, a total of 157 million people have recovered and total of 1.9 million vaccine doses have been administered as well.
Actuators convert electrical signals to mechanical movements. Seat actuation system in aircrafts enables passengers to adjust their seating position as per their comfort level. Seats are powered and adjustable between various seating positions depending upon passenger’s requirement. Aircraft seat actuation systems also allow passengers to adjust environmental conditions around their seat such as lighting and temperature, watch movies and adjust their head and foot rest.
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the aircraft seat actuation system market significantly. The persistence of COVID-19 has affected the aviation sector and hence disrupted the travelling and movement facilities which were previously available for citizens of any economy.
STRATEGIC DECISIONS BY MANUFACTURERS OF AIRCRACT SEAT ACTUATION SYSTEM
The financial condition and results of operations have been adversely affected by seat actuator manufacturing companies. This pandemic had forced the governments around the world to implement stringent measures to help control the spread of the virus. As a result, global demand for travel had declined in the year 2020 at a rapid pace and has remained depressed since then. This impact of COVID-19 had continued to evolve and the shape and speed of recovery for the commercial aerospace still many industry’s growth remains uncertain. Few challenges have been faced by manufacturers of aviation companies. Such as,
· Partial or full closure of offices or manufacturing facilities, either voluntarily or in response to government had affected the production line.
· Lower production capacity and labor productivity due to employee illness, loss of key personnel, inability to travel, or the implementation of government mandated or voluntary preventative measures such as reductions in operating hours.
· Liquidity challenges including an inability to pay suppliers and vendors.
All these unfavorable situations had affected the global economic and capital market conditions of seat actuator manufacturing companies, which further forced the manufacturers to take few measures in order to reduce the impact of this volatility through diversification of markets and expansion. With this, few seat actuator manufactures had pursued business opportunities from other markets, taking advantage of its technical design expertise and manufacturing capabilities.
For instance,
Astronics Corporation had reported significant concentration of business with their two major customers; Panasonic Avionics Corporation (“Panasonic”) and The Boeing Company (“Boeing”). Sales to Panasonic accounted for 11.1% of sales in 2020, 13.0% of sales in 2019, and 14.4% of sales in 2018. Also the company reported that the loss of Boeing or Panasonic as major customers may have significant reduction in business with either of those customers would reduce our sales and earnings. In 2020, they had a concentration of sales to Boeing and Panasonic representing approximately 9.5% and 11.1% of our sales, respectively. The loss of either of these customers or a significant reduction in business would significantly reduce the sales and overall earnings of the company.
In addition, the commercial airline industry is highly cyclical and sensitive to such things as fuel price increases, labor disputes, global economic conditions, availability of capital to fund new aircraft purchases and upgrades of existing aircraft and passenger demand, all of which have been significantly impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. A change in any of these factors could result in a further reduction in the amount of air travel and the ability of airlines to invest in new seat actuating system in aircraft or to upgrade existing aircraft. These factors would reduce orders for new aircraft and hence, spending for cabin upgrades for which the manufacturing companies’ supplies their products, thereby reducing the overall sales of the companies.
IMPACT ON THE DEMAND AND SUPPLY OF AIRCRAFT SEAT ACTUATION SYSTEM
When the pandemic emerged, all the sectors including the aviation sector have been adversely affected due to government restrictions for travelling and movement.
The commercial aerospace industry, in particular, has been significantly disrupted, both domestically and internationally. The aviation industry has the huge growth potential to help the country’s economic growth but due to lockdown imposition, the companies’ manufacturing of aircraft parts had been adversely affected owing to less number of order received and severe financial crisis. These factors are responsible for slowing down of the production facilities permanently. During this unprecedented time, various companies are experiencing disruption in production capacities due to movement of labor to their native villages, non-travelling of passengers, and customers defer delivery of new aircraft. This has overall, reduced the demand of aircraft seat actuation system significantly. The impact of the COVID-19 crisis distanced more than 1 billion passengers in the year, 2020 as compared to the projected baseline representing a decline of around 64.6% of total global passenger traffic.
As Alexandre de Juniac, IATA’s Director General and CEO said, ‘’Last year was a catastrophe. There is no other way to describe it. What recovery there was over the Northern hemisphere summer season stalled in autumn and the situation turned dramatically worse over the year-end holiday season, as more severe travel restrictions were imposed in the face of new outbreaks and new strains of COVID-19”
Aircraft seat actuation systems provide comfortable seating for the passengers in commercial as well as private aircraft. But as the COVID-19 pandemic continues, demand for spare parts is also down because of low maintenance requirement level. While production may slow for the same reasons as in aircraft manufacturing, demand over the next two years is unlikely to be affected since few manufactures are facing severe financial crisis. Additionally, supply of aircraft pneumatic seat actuation system parts such as electronic components, position sensors, and arresting brakes have been depressed due to the ongoing pandemic.
For instance,
According to the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, commercial aircraft with 9G seats will no longer be permitted to operate in the next few years. The board had framed these regulations on the requirement for aircraft to have stronger seats, which must be designed to increase the survivability of passengers and flight attendants during accidents. These had also posed a challenge for airlines in terms of cost and time as many of them do not have the budget to replace seats of all older aircraft with new ones.
CONCLUSION
Pandemic has taken a toll on every aspect of life, including the global economy. With the significant downfalls in many sectors, a collaborative effort of government, industry players, and consumers can win the fight against COVID-19.
While most of the companies have shown resilience by innovating technologies in real time, and demonstrating the tremendous value of the manufacturing network to customers and partners around the world, by partnering & collaborating together, seat actuator manufacturers are developing technologies and capabilities either internally or through acquisition to provide innovative solutions to the aerospace, defense and other markets where their technology can be beneficial even in this unprecedented time. This would create opportunities for the companies to deploy capital growth in the business and thereby surviving & wining in the market place in these uncertain times.
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the entire business scenario of aviation sector. The commercial airline industry has been severely affected by factors such as travelling restrictions, fuel price increases, labor disputes, global economic conditions, availability of capital to fund new aircraft purchases and upgrades of existing aircraft and passenger demand.

CONCLUSION
Pandemic has taken a toll on every aspect of life, including the global economy. With the significant downfalls in many sectors, a collaborative effort of government, industry players, and consumers can win the fight against COVID-19.
