Here's a funny story I want to tell ya

While I was editing anniversary artbook I thought about purchasing The Wind artbook. I know that this book is super popular and it has billions of scan archives but there's something about it that makes me to want to scan it the way I do (Jet and Spike laughing artwork). The problem is my new buyer got a job in Japan, it takes time to get used to it, so she paused receiving new orders until she ships everything piled up. I thought, maaaybe there's someone here in my country selling this book. I was right. But the price, oh god.

There's a non-official anime merch shop that sells custom pins, snacks and other small stuff, they also have a few cool artbooks, about 5000 rub (60$) each. But The Wind costs 17800 rub. To make it clear, it's like getting 2 anniversary artbooks+shipping for the same price. Yeah, this book is becoming more and more rare but wtf. I asked to lower the price but got no reply 🥲

Maybe it's corgo magic that did the trick - tonight I found other offerings. One for 65$ with stains and some pages falling out. And another one for 14$ in nearly perfect condition 🤣🤣🤣

The seller even recorded a video for me to show every nook and cranny😭. No obi but holy cow, 14$, I wish that woman all the best.

Falkland Islands 40th Anniversary Port, Niepoort Vinhos

Falkland Islands 40th Anniversary Port bottled by Niepoort Vinhos. This limited edition bottling of Dirk Niepoort’s fantastic Ruby Port features a special label to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Falklands War. The label design is stone-fired on to the bottle.

Niepoort Vinhos is a family-owned company now in its fifth generation and presently managed by Dirk Niepoort. Despite being the second smallest shippers in the trade they are second to none in quality. Already famous for their classic tawny ports, they have now joined the ranks of the great producers of Vintage Port. “Niepoort is to Vintage Port what Krug is to Champagne. They are both small houses in a world dominated by large competitors but they are producing outstanding wines which very few can match.” (James Suckling, Vintage Port). Niepoort Ruby Port is the entry point into Dirk Niepoort’s range of Port wines. Niepoort believes that the colour of the port should be inspired by the “rubi stone” (instead of black dark colour Ruby). 

The grapes for the Falkland Islands 40th Anniversary Port come from low yielding old vineyards in the Cima Corgo region of Douro Valley. The grapes are predominantly trodden in old, granite lagares, prior to ageing in large wooden vats at Niepoort’s lodges in Gaia where the Port is bottled with an average age of 3 years. The wine is a typical Douro Field Blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinto Cão, Tinta Francisca, Tinta Amarela, Sousão, Tinta Roriz and other grape varieties.

Niepoort and Fareham Wine Cellar (Peake Wine Associates S&W) have had a long association and have provided special Port labels for various Royal Naval ships and shore bases including HMS Sultan, HMS Collingwood, Northwood Headquarters and many others over the years. It was only natural that we collaborate on a commemorative label for the 40th Anniversary of the Falkland Islands War and for the many events taking place in 2022.

We are able to supply personalised labels for Niepoort Ruby Port, either stone-fired or with a smart wrap around label.
