I’m a lowkey JB51 fan. Like imagine Barcia stays a podium guy all year would be so sweet. Getting up to go battle with Tomac and Webb? Ehhhh probably not likely but it would be pretty sweet if he could lol. There’s been some bad passes by him over the years for sure but I don’t think the Sexton pass last weekend was dirty at all. Got him a podium and a nice pay day I say if you have to take somebody’s front wheel out to make that happen you do it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ then holding off a charging Roczen for a whole 15 minutes that’s a sweet ride right there no doubt.

This upcoming weekend A2 Triple Crown race, hopefully Jettson and Eli don’t sweep the whole entire thing, but it’s seeming like Jett is untouchable and the only person that’s staying consistent with Eli in 450’s is Webb. Frankly I’m rooting for too many guys in the 450’s haha I’d love to see any of the other factory guys get in there and mix it up with ET3.

I have little doubt there is one or two other versions of this premise in the sea of one page gags-- a premise, I should point out, that is more than a little creepy and not a good model of behaviour for boys to copy.

I am a little curious about this one, following as it does by one year the previous Betty shadows cover, and drawn by the hardly much given drawing jobs Kathleen Webb. I picture her wanting to fulfill a long time desire to draw some swimsuit scene, and taking any assignment that lets her do so -- so see if Glaidir can rehash some thing that fits the bill.

I've spoken a lot about the negative impact of WAG culture in modern day F1, so I want to take a moment to draw attention to something awesome that was set up by motorsport wives in the 1960s and is still in existence today.

The Women's Motor Racing Associates Club (WMRAC) otherwise known as The Doghouse Owners Club was set up back in the 1960s, by the British Grand Prix Drivers wives, as a charity to offer support to families in the racing community who were stricken by accident, misfortune or grief.

The founding members were Hazel Chapman, Pauline Cooper, Bette Hill, Angela Webb and Gregor Grant's wife (but he had 2 and I can't find which one it was!). Sheila van Damm, a British female motorcross driver served as their first chairperson.

You can read all about their history on their website and they STILL raise money and support various charities and motorsports causes as well. Peter Proctor's widow Shirley is the current president.

Their story about how they got their name is brilliant

Daytona supercross bitches let’s go!

Can anyone beat Eli Tomac at a venue he’s won at 6 times? Can Webb be the 2nd guy to win two races in a row this year? We know that Sexton can beat Tomac straight up in outdoor motocross, could Daytona’s “hybrid” track be the place he finally puts together a full 20 min main event?

Something to look out for - IF, Sexton wins, Webb comes in second, and Tomac comes in third, the series will leave Daytona with a 3 way tie for first place 😱

Hubble captures stellar nurseries in majestic spiral galaxy IC 1954

This image from the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope features the spiral galaxy IC 1954, located 45 million light-years from Earth in the constellation Horologium. It sports a glowing bar in its core, majestically winding spiral arms, and clouds of dark dust across it. Numerous glowing, pink spots across the disc of the galaxy are H-alpha regions that offer astronomers a view of star-forming nebulae, which are prominent emitters of red, H-alpha light.

Some astronomers theorize that the galaxy's "bar" is actually an energetic star-forming region that just happens to lie over the galactic center.

The data featured in this image come from a program that extends the cooperation among multiple observatories: Hubble, the infrared James Webb Space Telescope, and the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array, a ground-based radio telescope. By surveying IC 1954 and over 50 other nearby galaxies in radio, infrared, optical, and ultraviolet light, astronomers aim to fully trace and reconstruct the path matter takes through stars, mapping the interstellar gas and dust in each galaxy.

Hubble's observing capabilities form an important part of this survey: It can capture younger stars and star clusters when they are brightest at ultraviolet and optical wavelengths, and its H-alpha filter effectively tracks emission from nebulae. The resulting dataset will form a treasure trove of research on the evolution of stars in galaxies, upon which Webb can build as it continues its science operations into the future.
