Kangals seized after Lloyd Park attacks may never be returned
Croydon police are “doing everything they can” to ensure that three large guard dogs that have been roaming, out of control in Lloyd Park, are never returned to their owner, according to local MP Sarah Jones. Out of control: two of the three Kangal guard dogs, as video’d in a neighbour’s garden last month The Turkish Kangals got out of their compound at Coombe Farm last month, breaking into a…

The Uninvited - Clive Harold Review
The Uninvited by Clive Harold purports to be nonfiction book about a series of UFO events that happen in the lives of the Coombs family, primarily on their farm in 1977. It begins fairly innocuously strange lights in the sky, malfunctions in electronics in their house. Then it begins to escalate; their cows show up multiple times in a neighboring farmers field, despite them being unable to find a single hoof print or human print around the cows that would indicate someone would have moved the cows. And it escalates to a direct encounter with extra terrestrials. So The Uninvited is a super interesting book to me. I think it was good. It's a good horror story, regardless of whether or not the events described are true so if that's what you care about, then I highly recommend this book. It's a creepy book. Chilling events happen. What I want to primarily talk about is whether or not the case of the Coombs family *is* true. When I'm writing my reviews, I try to do like at least a smidgen of research about the book to make sure none of the information I'm giving out is not factual. Looking up The Uninvited, any smidgen of information about this case, would lead back to this book. Which is interesting to me, because in the back of the edition of the book I read, there's a section where Clive Harold talks about interviewing the family, so clearly the primary source that Harold relied on is the Coombs family. As a nonfiction book, if The Uninvited is that, I found the book really, really lacking. There is no sourced information. None. Zero. Supposedly policemen in the area investigated these events, there's no interviews by the author with these policemen. The area is said to be a hotbed of UFO activity, with tons of other people around the area supposedly saw similar events and with rare exception, the book seems uninterested in that. I guess what I'm trying to say is there's no corroboration of the Coombs family, we're just supposed to take them at their word. Trying to find information about the case online, leads you back to The Uninvited. Every. Single. Place. I. Looked. Google. Bing. YouTube. Amazon. Goodreads. UFO sites. You name it. I want to take this a step further. Looking into the author, Clive Harold, correct me if I'm wrong, I'm more than willing to be corrected on this. I can't find anything about the author that doesn't directly tie back into this book. He was supposedly a journalist, but there's no articles or anything online written by him, every single shred of information I could find about this Harold led me back to The Uninvited. Which leads me to my conclusion, I think Clive Harold is a pseudonym for someone and that The Uninvited is a fictional story. Maybe based on an article or something that this person read, that's cool, that happens all the time. Authors, myself included, see something, are inspired and write an idea. I'm not even mad thinking this is a fictional story, because as I said, it's a creepy horror story and "based on a true story" was all the rage back in the 1970s (Texas Chain Saw, Amityville). It *just* feels to me like if this story were true, there'd be more interest because the claims in it are so extraordinary. More investigations into what happen that don't lead back to The Uninvited. There's way more detail than other cases like probably the most famous UFO case, the UFO crashing near Roswell. Right down to what individual members of the Coombs family were thinking years previous. I don't know about you, but I can't remember *exactly* what I was thinking two minutes ago while I was writing this. So do I recommend The Uninvited? Yes. With the above in mind. As a fictional UFO horror story, it's one of the better ones that I've read. There's some chilling ideas in here. And hey, if I'm wrong, then I'm wrong and am willing to be proven wrong. If I'm wrong and this *is* a true story, then it's even more terrifying than I previously thought and I think the *possibility* of it being true makes it a worthwhile read.
4/5

Edith's pregnancy has been going along swimmingly, tho she wishes she could look down and see her feet again.
Daniel has taken up a gardening job in town to help pay bills, and while in town he got to meet Lady Mayoress Lavina Chopra.
Daniel was having a pleasant chat with her outside while she judged Henfords Finchwick's fair submissions!
It was going great until she tried to inquire about his reasons for moving to Henford. Daniel kept it short and sweet " Looking for work is all "
Lavina advised him he " might've founds work easier in the city "
It was obvious Daniel did not want to stay on the subject and it would be unladylike to pry so she simply directed him toward possibly getting hired by wealthier families to manage their gardens.
" or," Lavina said " If you don't mind working long hours Henford Factory is always looking for more workers to help build our railways. "
Back at home, Edith was enjoying the time off from the farm grind, it feels like it's been ages since she was able to just sit and relax all day..
It was moments like these when she really started to miss her privileged lifestyle. With no servants, she was going to have to figure out how to take care of the farm, a newborn, and herself all at the same time.
Say Goodbye to spare time!

After dinner, the Boys walked over to the Campeggio 'Fattoria di Lama' (= Camsite 'Old Llama Farm'). The nights at Tartosa are still warm and they look forward to their stay here.
Jack noticed that Sai looked worriedly over to the Castle, where they are supposed to meet Ms Coombes and athena tomorrow afternoon. And where they'll have to discuss the loan for their school fees... Jack: "Hey, let's leave the worries for Tomorrow Afternoon Saiwa, hm? It's been a while since we've been here. Let's not taint it with our problems." Saiwa sighed. Jack is right. He shouldn't dim their mood after such a great day, now that they are all happy together again. Uhhh - maybe he can cuddle with Jeb later in their tent! Sai quickened his pace.
The Boys, the Little Goats and Skully gathered by the fire. Jack started the Tartosa Playlist and Skully sang along. But quietly, to not wake the Little Goats and Kumo, who already fell asleep.
Jack was hungry - again - and started to roast some Veggie Dogs. Vlad never tasted roasted marshmallows before, since he only learned he can eat real food January this year, so Ji Ho shyly showed him how to do it. They are still far from not being awkward around each other. And it doesn't make it easier they can feel through the Bond how the other feels. None of them wants the other to feel pressured and they want to take it slow. Now, they can finally be together, they want the whole package. Getting to know each other, date... They kissed and woohoed already many times before, but it will all be new for Ji Ho, now that he has his feelings back. And new for Vlad, now that Ji Ho is finally able to love him.
After Jack munched his third Veggie Dog, Jack and Kiyoshi stood up. Jeb: "Are you going to sleep already?" Jack: "No, since we only have one bathroom here and it's late, my good mate Kiyoshi and I are going to start with showering and brushing teeth so we all get ready before bedtime. It's quicker when we go together and share the bath." Jeb: "Ah, I see." Sai didn't really listen because he was so excited to spend the night with Jeb <3 And poor Ji Ho burned his mouth, the marshmallow was too hot...
Then it dawned on Sai: "What? You are showering together? I told you we are not going to go down that road again!" Jack: "Tch. What a dirty mind you have. We are mates, Sai, just mates."
Sai calmed down eventually. If Jack and Kiyoshi can take a shower together, Jeb and him can do that all the more!
Meanwhile, in the bathroom. Jack tried to comb through his hair with his fingers and his hand soon became sandy and sticky. He turned and looked in the mirror to catch a view on the back of his head and he saw his tangled strands. Jack: "Gods - how am I supposed to get all that sand and kelp out of my hair?!"
Kiyoshi: "Don't worry, I'm going to give you a hand." And then he pulled Jack into the steaming shower. Jack: "Aouwww, you're a true mate!"
Kiyoshi tried to entangle Jack's strands and remove the sticky kelp. Jack howled: "Ouch! Go easy on me!" Kiyoshi drew back: "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. I'm going to use more produce... I'll be careful."
The open bathroom is right next to the fireplace and the others heard a bottle click open and a squeeze. And then Kiyoshi slicking his hands... Kiyoshi: "Come closer and bend down a bit - then it's easier." Jack: "Like so?" Kiyoshi: "Ah, yes. Exactly like so."
Sai: "Do we really want to allow this - eh... mateship of them? What if Jack goes crazy again? I'll never forget the night he had that nightmare and I will never forget when we had to fear for his life when he fell in that coma when he was about to kill Kiyoshi."
Vlad remembered just too well. Jack is his best friend and he doesn't want him to get hurt again. But he also remembered how Kiyoshi was by his side when he watched over Jack - lying in that pod to keep him alive. And how afraid Kiyoshi was to lose Jack. Jeb pulled them out of their gloomy thoughts: "Kiyoshi won't let Jack get hurt again. He learned his part. And Jack prospered, a lot. They are honest to each other now and care for each other." Our little, naive Ji Ho: "They are mates, just mates."
Jack moaned as Kiyoshi scrubbed his scalp: "Mmmmh - your hands are magic, Kiyoshi..." A little later. Kiyoshi: "Gods, Jack, you have sand everywhere!" Jack squealed and laughed: "That tickles!"
Finally they finished! Jack looked at Kiyoshi in the mirror and he liked what he saw. He couldn't help to admire Kiyoshi. How beautiful he was. You can totally do that as mates. There's nothing wrong with it. Jack: "I'm glad it's you." Kiyoshi: "Are you happy?" Jack: "So happy. You?" Kiyoshi: "Same."
After Jack and Kiyoshi returned to the fireplace, Vlad went alone to the shower and then Ji Ho. No need to rush things. They are going to take their time and slowly approximate to each other. And cherish each and every moment. In their own pace. Sai whereas can't wait to finally lose his virginity! He wiggled on his chair, now it's Jeb and his turn to hit the shower. Jeb: "I let you go first. It's an important day tomorrow." Saiwa blinked: "Eh, thank you..." Sai stood up like in trance and shuffled to the shower. Jeb does not want to shower with him... That reminds him of last year when they were in the same situation right here at the campsite! Argh. Nothing changed!
And when Sai returned, Jeb went to the bathroom. Vlad was still sitting by the fire. They didn't talk and sat quiet for a while. Vlad and Sai share a deep friendship that needs no words and they can sit in silence comfortably. Sai was just planning how he was going to seduce Jeb later in their tent when Vlad called: "Night, Jeb! Take good care of Ji Ho!" Jeb: "Night, you two! Will do!"
What was that? Jeb taking care of Ji Ho? Sai: "Are you not going to share a tent with Ji Ho?" Vlad: "Gods, no. It's too early. When I lie next to him I can't help myself and think about how beautiful he is and how much I want him." Sai: "And?" Vlad: "The Bond, Sai. He can feel what I feel. Not what I think, of course. But he would feel my arousal, for example. I don't want to frighten him off. We're just at the beginning. And we're going home tomorrow. Means, Ji Ho and I are going to need our strength to teleport the TukTuk and it's going to drain us. And he will get travelsick again. I don't want to stress him further." Sure, Sai knows all that about their Bond - but he never thought about how exhausting this must be, and embarrassing ö.Ö' And then it clicked. If Jeb shares a tent with Ji Ho - Jeb is not going to share a tent with him! Argh! It's even worse than last year!
And Skully sang:
'Noi, senza dignità, oltre la montagna scopriamo l'amore. Qui, qui senza falsità, noi ci amiamo come la mente non sa. Noi, senza dignità, oltre la montagna scopriamo l'amore. Qui, qui senza falsità, noi ci amiamo come la.
'Without dignity, we find love beyond the mountains. Here, here without falsehood we love each other in a manner not known by the mind.'
Una Notte Speziale - Alice
Until Sai screamed at him to finally shut up...

On November 7th 1619 Elizabeth Stuart was crowned Queen of Bohemia.
Elizabeth was the eldest daughter of James VI, and Anne of Denmark. She was thus sister to King Charles I and cousin to King Frederick III of Denmark.
Born in at Falkland Palace, Fife,on 19th August 1596, she was named Elizabeth in honour of the then-ageing English Queen, Elizabeth I, who had remained childless. Her older brothel was Prince Henry, of her other siblings, Charles would however go on to inherit the throne.
To all intents and purposes, Elizabeth had a happy upbringing at Linlithgow Palace, one of the grandest of Scotland’s royal residences, and one of my favourite places to wander around.
In 1603 her father James succeeded Elizabeth I to the English throne. Elizabeth was handed over to the care of Lord and Lady Harrington and took up residence at Coombe Abbey, Warwickshire.
Lord Harrington indulged her passion for nature, and in a secluded wilderness at the end of the park arranged the construction of a number of little wooden buildings in all the different orders of architecture which housed paintings and stuffed animals. He also established an aviary and a miniature menagerie (she continued to collect various animals throughout her life) which was later expanded to include meadows stocked with the smallest breeds of cattle from Jersey, Shetland and the Isle of Man. Elizabeth referred to her miniature world as ‘her Territories’ and ‘her Fairy farm’ and she engaged a pauper family as keeper of her birds and beasts.
Elizabeth idolised her older brother - they shared a love of life which eluded the sickly Charles, four years younger than his sister. Her letters to her brother Henry reveal a deep affection and and mutual respect. In 1605 she writes ‘My noble brother, I rouse you from sleep to remind you that I am your most humble servant, and desire above all that I might have the pleasure of remaining in your good graces and your best loved sister.’
Henry’s sickness and death on November 6, 1612, in the midst of Elizabeth's betrothal celebrations devastated her. It is not mentioned in Elizabeth’s letters of 1612 or 1613, a silence that suggest great mourning however her strength of character can be demonstrated by her attempts to gain access to Henry’s isolated sick room. Disguised as a country girl, she tried several times to gain admittance to Henry but was recognised and turned back. Henry’s last words were his sister’s name.
By the age of 12 Elizabeth’s political value was such that a member of the influential Hapsburg family, King Philip III of Spain, put himself forward as a eligible suitor. While Queen Anne relished the opportunity of a glittering Spanish throne, James’ mind was set on a Protestant:Frederick V, Prince Palatine of the Rhine in the Holy Roman Empire, frequently known as the Palsgrave.
Luckily for Elizabeth, Frederick was her own age, handsome, athletic, of a winning personality and generous. In many ways he resembled her brother Henry, with whom he developed a deep friendship. Frederick could not fail to love Elizabeth although she was initially more reserved.
On Valentine’s Day 1613, a spectacular wedding ceremony took place in the Royal Chapel at Whitehall Palace in London. At the time of their marriage, Elizabeth and her young groom Frederick V were destined to achieve international power and influence. However, by 1621, Elizabeth was in exile, destined to be remembered as the ‘The Winter Queen’, a derogatory epitaph that reflects the short duration of her rule in Bohemia, with her union with Frederick deemed a political failure. For almost two months, the young couple were feted and feasted in London before setting out on their journey to their new home in Heidelberg, in south west Germany. Elizabeth and Frederick eventually reached the Palatinate and its capital in Heidelberg situated on the banks of the river Neckar.
Six years later, in late 1619, Frederick and Elizabeth were crowned King and Queen of Bohemia (today part of the Czech Republic) at the invitation of the Bohemia Confederacy to prevent a Catholic incumbent ascending to the throne. Barely a year after receiving the crown, the couple were defeated at the Battle of the White Mountain, and driven from their court in Prague and deprived of all their Palatine lands by the Hapsburg Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand II, events which led to one of the longest and most destructive conflicts in human history:The Thirty Years War.
During their separations whilst Frederick was on campaign, the couple wrote to each other three or four times a week, sometimes even twice in one day. Frederick describes Elizabeth as his ‘only heart’, he ‘kisses her mouth a million times in imagination’.
Frederick died unexpectedly from the plague at Mainz while on perpetual military campaign in 1632. So long as she lived, Elizabeth’s rooms were draped in black, and in memory of Frederick special days were set apart for fasting. She later wrote ‘though I make a good show in company, yet I can never have any more contentment in this world, for God knows I had none but that which I took in his company, and he did the same in mine.’
Elizabeth lived on in the Dutch Republic for a further 30 years, in voluntary exile, returning to England in 1661, a year before her death and a year after the restoration of her nephew, Charles II.
It is through Elizabeth’s daughter, Sophie, the Hanoverians line was established.

So, I made this maple simple syrup out of maple granulated sugar from Coombs Family Farms and I’ve been adding it to my coffees as a sweetener. However, today I added shredded ginger (which contained all its beautiful water) with the usual black coffee and (light) maple simple this time, as I didn’t want it to hide the ginger. Anyways, this long winded explanation is to say: ginger in black coffee is amazing and is now my new go to!

In the months that followed, the Harrington household witnessed an unprecedented flurry of activity. The once-quiet farm was now a hive of industry, with workers toiling tirelessly. Most of these laborers were brought in through the Coombes family's connections, a fact that weighed heavily on Eddy's mind. While he contributed what he could, it became increasingly apparent that the scope of the project exceeded what he initially expected.
From dawn until dusk, workers hammered, sawed, and excavated, transforming Eddy's land. Barns were hoisted, relocated, and reconfigured.
A grand wooden arch was erected at the farm's entrance, rustic and imposing, crowned by the massive horns of a longhorn bull. Yet, even this striking arch seemed insignificant compared to the towering edifice that was taking shape on his property.
Eddy's beloved garden found a new home to the left of the house, near the well, while the outhouse was shifted to the right. Piece by piece, the familiar landmarks of his farm were shuffled aside to make room for the looming mansion.
The newly constructed farmhouse, coated in a vibrant shade of red, featured white-painted woodwork adorned with ornate arches.
Daniel and all his contractors insisted it was indeed a Farmhouse but Eddy has grown skeptical.
By mid-autumn, the towering mansion stood as a testament to the whirlwind of change that had swept over the land. In just a few short months, nearly everything had been altered. This new house was a colossus compared to the one Eddy had lovingly crafted with his own hands and everything he had built has been moved and pushed aside.
The reality of what exactly the term "little" meant in the context of his dealings with Daniel was dawning on him, Eddy knew Daniel loved Josephine despite the mistakes she had made and knew she was bound to get doted on with the new marriage. But this? This was beyond excessive.

When Ji Ho and Vlad crossed the bridge to the farm they heard Juniper, who was riding in front of them, yell: "THE FARM!" So Saiwa was right. The farm is visible again! As they stepped towards the meteorites, where the others waited, Ji Ho froze. There was his dead brother. The last time he appeared to Ji Ho was when he worked at the 'Diner de los Muertos' last year.
No one except Ji Ho can see him anyway so there was no need to upset the others. Like last year, Tae Woon held a little ghost and a sea shell... He took a few steps in Ji Ho's direction and vanished again. Ji Ho had been so busy then that he hadn't thought a lot about this encounter. But now it's time to take actions to send his brother to the other side - and find out what happened to Guidry, whom Ms Coombes had sent out to help Tae Woon - and never was seen again...
Time to finally remove the meteorites. Will they ever find out why they fell from the sky the same moment when Vlad and Ji Ho met? And why they caused an impact that could make a whole farm vanish? Vlad and Ji Ho silently agreed to not tell the others about Morgan and the poison she injected them. Saiwa would kill them. They would leave soon anyway. And if the Council should look for them here, they'd be long gone. If looks could kill...
