welcome to Day 19 of the fic advent calendar – bite-sized fics posting every day during the month of december. enjoy!

Okay, so Steve doesn’t like to say that he hates anyone. 

And he doesn’t! Hate anyone. Just–

The guy who owns the shop across the street. Steve doesn’t hate him, because he doesn’t hate people as a general rule, but he maybe sort of… strongly dislikes him.

It’s just the fact that he’s been trying to move in on Steve’s territory by offering free Christmas cookies with any purchase when Steve literally runs the bakery right across the street, and that feels like it’s maybe a personal attack, or– okay, Dustin thinks he’s reading way too much into it or overreacting or something, but honestly? Steve thinks it’s perfectly reasonable to hate the guy who–

Not hate. He doesn’t hate him. He just– resents him. That’s a better word for it.

He takes a deep breath, squaring his shoulders as he arranges a fresh round of pastries in their glass case, smiling at the woman who’s eyeing the cream puffs at the other end of the counter. It’s not like he’s exactly hurting for customers, it’s just… the big Free Cookies! sign directly across the street feels a little pointed.

“What can I get you?” he asks the woman, who’s now moved on to examine a rainbow array of macarons. “Those also make great holiday gifts.”

The woman glances up and gives him a big smile, toothy and sweet. She’s pretty in a disarming sort of way, big eyes and long blonde hair pulled back from her face. She’s carrying a heavy-looking bag over her shoulder, loaded down with books that peek out the top. 

“Just picking up a few things to take across the street,” she says, heaving the bag higher on her shoulder. “Game night.”

She motions with her head in the direction of The Shop, and Steve resists the urge to make a face. Well, at least he’s getting one paying customer out of the place. Two, if you count Dustin, but he doesn’t ever actually pay.

After a few minutes of selection, he sends her on her way with a little box of macarons, plus a few other things, including an assortment of cookies to show off to his mortal enemy the guy across the street who’s innocently drumming up business for himself by undercutting Steve’s sales.

It doesn’t even matter. 

Whatever.

And then the shop bell chimes next morning, and he looks up from piping cupcakes to find the man himself standing there in front of the counter, as if he’s allowed to. As if he was invited in. As if Steve isn’t going to give him a piece of his mind and tell him what he really thinks of– 

Fuck. 

Of course he had to be hot up close.

“Hi,” Evil Shop Owner Guy says, giving him an awkward little wave and a smile. After a beat, his hand moves to rub over the back of his neck. “Thought I’d come say hi.”

Steve blinks. “Well,” he says. “You said it. Hi.”

The guy laughs, and he takes a step closer, which is decidedly not what Steve was going for. He sets down his pastry bag. 

“I meant– hi, like–” He lets out a breath. “I’m Eddie. I own the game store that just opened across the street?”

Steve gives him a tight smile. “Yeah, my cashier goes to your games on Thursdays,” he says. “Dustin? Curly-headed kid?”

“Oh yeah, he’s–” Eddie lets out a laugh that makes Steve soften slightly against his will. “He’s a good kid.” He squints. “Kind of an oddball, though.”

Steve laughs too, and his smile loosens. “Yeah, he is,” he says. “Kind of thought all you were until I met the rest of his friends, and– nope, mostly just him.”

Eddie’s shoulders have come down from his ears a little, and he rocks up on his toes as he laughs. 

“Listen, um.” He clears his throat. “I think we maybe got off on the wrong foot?”

Steve raises his eyebrows. “We did?”

“The cookie thing,” he says. “Dustin said you’re not exactly a fan.”

And that’s… not untrue, but still. Steve feels his face heat. 

“He shouldn’t have said anything,” he says. “I’m– sorry, it’s not like I’ve been– whatever. It just felt a little–”

“No, no, I totally get it,” Eddie says. “I guess I didn’t really think. And then my friend Chrissy brought over some of your stuff last night, and it was way better than the shit we’ve been giving out, and –” He takes a breath. “Anyway. I just wanted to say sorry, and – if you want, I mean – I kind of have an idea of how to make it better?”

Steve is a little unsure at first, but after a few days of Eddie’s plan to give half off dice to anyone who comes in with a receipt from the bakery, his sales have definitely started to inch back up toward where they were before someone started undercutting him. Steve even begrudgingly admits the dice are cool when Dustin shows off his new set after paying for his breakfast for the first time ever.

“I don’t really get what they do, though,” Steve says, turning them over in his hand to watch the way the light catches on the glitter trapped inside. 

“They don’t do anything,” Dustin says. “They’re dice. You use them to play.”

Steve makes a face. “Okay, I’m not that stupid, thanks.” He drops them back into Dustin’s waiting hand. “I just meant like – the game doesn’t make sense to me. But I’m glad you like them.”

“You could come over net Thursday,” Dustin says, raising his eyebrows. “I bet Eddie wouldn’t mind teaching you.”

“I’m good, thanks,” Steve says. “No nerd games for me. I’ll stick with my cookies.”

But that doesn’t stop him from asking Eddie out for a celebratory drink the next day, and if one thing leads to another, well – he never said he hated him.

May I request something for Julie,Poppy and Sally(separate) with a dragon reader who hid that they were a dragon because they grew up reading the stories about dragons and are worried about being feared or attacked?

Recently I've been trying to write longer and more detailed posts, this being one of those attempts. Hope you enjoy the headcannons! (⁠^⁠-^⁠)

Julie, Poppy and Sally x dragon Reader

Julie

★ Julie met you while visiting her family, she got lost and stumbled upon you. You don't like to live near people so the forest is where you call home. Being under the same umbrella as you (rainbow monster) you warmed up to her quickly.

★ Not realizing you where hiding from people, she immediately introduced you her family. Bringing the joyful family into the dense forest you call home. It went surprisingly well, and now you're a friend to the little family.

★ Imagine all the new games she can play with someone who has wings! During a game of hide and seek you could hide on top of a the post office and win every time. In capture the flag you could hide the flag where nobody can reach! The possibilities are endless...

★ She doesn't understand why you hide yourself. After all, she's a Rainbow Monster and never has she needed to hide her identity. Everyone in home is so friendly, she can't imagine a place where people are mean.

★ You meet the rest of the town through her. It's a classic case of a extrovert adopting a introvert. She goes around Home knocking on people's doors and introducing you to them.

★ If that's too much for you, she does the same thing but over the phone so you don't need to leave your house. Introducing you to Frank first because he is her best friend and she's definitely told him about you beforehand.

Poppy

★ This mother hen is deeply concerned, if you live in the deep forest where do you get your food? What if you get lost in the forest?? Do you even have running water there??? These are the things that come to mind when she learns about you.

★ Do you like pastries? If you do she puts together a basket full of various cookies, puff pastries and cream puffs then gives it to Eddie for delivery. It took Eddie an hour to find your house because he kept getting lost.

★ Like you Poppy has wings. Except hers are used for baking, not flying. Technically she could fly if she really wanted to but she's too scared to try. By proxy, she's scared that you will hurt yourself while flying.

★ She covers her eyes when you take off from a high place because she can't bring herself to watch you jump into the air. What if you fall?!?

★ To quell your fear of being in public places she knits you a cape-like poncho that covers most of your body. Poppy can assure you that nobody in home would ever hurt you, but if this makes you more comfortable then so be it.

Sally

★ Being the towns theater kid, she's well-versed in story's about dragons. Congratulations, you got this star to be enamored with you. Never in her life has she seen a dragon! She asks you so. Many. Questions.

★ Sally likes to cast you in her plays as the hero character, despite the situational irony. Only casting you as the "bad guy" when you audition for the role. She refuses to promote any mean/harmful stereotypes in her plays!

★ When you tell her that the way dragons are portraid in old plays is inaccurate and problematic, she feels really really bad. She gives you some written copies of her performances (specifically the ones with dragons in them) for some constructive criticism.

★ Stories focusing on dragons are now among her favorite genres. Darker stories about dragons being hunted and driven out of towns are a bit too dark for her. More lighthearted stories about dragons collecting gold, jewels and knowledge are what she finds riveting.

★ The change in perspective inspires her to write manuscripts for stories about dragons. With your help, of course. What if she re-wrote old stories but instead of being "evil" the dragon is the hero?

Scenes or Comic Panels I Would Draw If I Could Draw BC Some Of My Chatpost Ideas I See Better As Pictures Not Words, Part Three.

Deidara and Hidan noticing that Zetsu seems really down in the winter months, so they help him by stealing him a heat-lamp and helping him to prune himself by picking off his yellow or dead leaves and giving him little bags of premium fertilizer (and Zetsu eating from the bags with a spoon like ice cream).

After sex, Nagato and Konan laying in bed together. Konan resting on top of Nagato, him with his hands on her hips. Him making a comment that having her on top of him feels like a nice, warm weighted blanket. Konan only hears "weight" and says "So ... you're saying I'm fat?" and before he can think of a non-offensive answer she gets up and storms out of the room. Hidan happened to hear it and tells the others and the next day all of them make pointed jokes about things being heavy when Nagato is around. He eventually Shinra Tensei's all of them. Konan laughs so hard she kisses him and forgives him.

Deidara and Sasori at an art museum. Run into Itachi and Kisame there. Kisame comments how sweet the two of them look holding hands. Sasori tells them that there's nothing romantic about it; if he doesn't keep hold of at least one of Deidara's hands he's going to reach into his pocket and bring out his matches and light the paintings on fire to make them more "artistic".

Hidan and Deidara having a chicken wing eating contest. Hidan pretends to choke on a bone to fake Deidara out but Deidara isn't buying it. Kakuzu comes into the room and comments something like " If you can handle mine, there's no reason you should be choking on THAT tiny bone, Hidan." Deidara starts choking for real.

Kisame telling Konan how to learned to use a gentle touch with Itachi by practicing holding cats first. Cuts back and forth between showing Kisame holding cats that are clawing and scratching him when annoyed, to Itachi kicking and biting at him when he's annoyed. Kisame telling Konan that Itachi is more like a cat than she'd think. Itachi then comes into the room and circles the fridge several times and Kisame tells him that No, he already had his dinner, and Itachi puffs up and hisses at him, and Kisame takes a little spray bottle from his pocket and squirts Itachi's nose with it.

Obito and Deidara’s son at school, say kindergarten, and the teacher calls in the parents for a meeting. She tells the two that their son has been drawing “questionable” things during art class. Shows them the pictures and it’s a whole series of Obito and Deidara “playing leapfrog” with each other. Obito is hella embarrassed and keeps apologizing and saying they’ll have a talk with the kid and get a lock for their bedroom door. But Deidara has tears in his eyes and is going “Look at what TALENT my son has, hm!” and asking if he can take the pictures home to hang on the fridge and the teacher and Obito are just staring at him like 😐

Young adults Kakashi and Obito having a “date night” in Obito’s room. Awkwardly flirting all night. But every time one of them do much as leans in for a kiss, Obito’s “grandpa” Madara comes into the room. First to ask if Obito finished his chores. Then to bring in a tray of milk and cookies. THEN he sends little Sasuke in the room to ask annoying questions, and Sasuke is accompanied by his “special friend” Naruto who’s excited to see his Sensei and each boy is too oblivious to realize that they’re interrupting obkk’s date until Itachi finally comes back from a mission and drags them out. And finally, finally when the two think they’re free, they start making out, but right in the middle of it Madara calls out from down the hallway that it’s time for Obito to give him his bath. Kakashi (not for the first time) asks Obito why he doesn’t just move out of his clan’s home and get one of the Jonin apartments in the city like Kakashi himself has. Obito starts to reply that it’s not so bad when Madara calls out again bring the heavy duty toenail clippers because he’s got some “monsters” growing on his feet. And Obito looks at Kakashi and asks how much the rents are in the Jonin apartments.

My deepest apologies for being unable to write for a while. Due to me being busy with a lot of writing for my 2nd Term of my 1st Year of College I ended up getting a bad case of Writer's Block, due to my mind becoming mentally exhausted from various homework and projects. 😅🎀

Luckily the 2nd Term of my 1st Year recently finished a few days ago, and I'll be returning to my 1st Year's 3rd Term this coming May 8. But in the meantime, I'll try my best to complete Chapter 7 for my Cookie Run Kimura AU!

Cookie Run Kimura AU 🪴 Episode 7 (Preview) - Full Experimental Alchemist 🧪

Grandmaster Hotel, Sparkling's Juice Bar Wednesday, 5:41pm  in the Afternoon

"Hehe!! I supposed that was one dance within the starlights!", Herb politely chuckled while watching the reel that Sparkling posted on his Instagraham Page (Cookie Instagram Page) that ended up getting a lot of views within the first few hours alone.

As promised, Vampire sent the video he recorded on his phone to Sparkling. With the blonde teen himself both posting it and also adding the red-haired teen as a collaborator of the aforementioned reel.

"Wow! And it's crazy that you and Rockstar chose to stop the crowd from betting on either of you!", Cherry Blossom pouted in disappointment, "You won that match yet…"

Sparkling served the usual drinks to the rest of his friends, ending with serving Cherry Blossom her usual Sakura Milkshake. He sighed before replying with, "Even if Rockstar won instead of me, we both had the same idea regardless of the outcome. That being that there shouldn't be any bets, and that in the end we chose to dance for fun and sincere enjoyment."

"That's one reasonable and truly humble answer, Sparkling. It's cruel to see that there's not many cookies who have just as logical of a mindset as you, Herb, Cream Puff, and most of the cookies here...", Cocoa Butter (Dark Choco) calmly joined in the conversation as he drew on his calligraphy sketchbook.

The dark-haired teen gave an oblivious Cherry Blossom one silent side eye, drawing a quick sketch of one cute blue bear jelly plushie. The one that Herb won for him earlier in the arcade, which is also sitting right in front of him on the table.

Mango showed one big warmhearted smile, giggling at the amount of fun his friends are having. At the moment he was writing down the remaining few things on his notes from his phone, listing down everything the Student Council needs to do for the Science Fair.

"That looks like a lot of work that you wrote down.", Cream Puff spoke, taking a small little peek on Mango's list and overall sets of notes, "Working hard as ever, I see! Hehe!"

The young Student Council President himself nodded, double checking if there's anything that he needs to add or remove. Smiling kindly with complete satisfaction and happiness, "Everything is written down, and assigned the required things for each of us to do. Each is given a couple of tasks that's best suited for the five of us, both as individuals and as a team!"

One thing led to more chain reactions within the Blooming Friend Group. Most of them involve Herb and Sparkling offering their help to Mango and Cream Puff. A couple of times would have Cocoa Butter give some ideas as well, and Cherry Blossom followed along every so often.

Vampire would join in at times, recommending what the Student Council can do to promote the event in the Lotte World Tower and even make the event more widespread but reasonably limited to those in Cookie Biscuit City for a less stressful but amazing day.

That's when another idea sparked up in Mango's mind, "Hey Vampire? You're the Leader of the Science Club right?"

"Of course, Mango!", Vampire kindly replied, "If you need more help for the Science Fair, you can come to me or any of the members."

"I actually was about to ask!", the upbeat blonde cheered at the easy-going redhead, "WellyouseeweareveryopentobothofferinghelpandalsoreceivinghelpfromeveryonebothcookiesandcreaturesalikesoifyouarefinewithisitokayifyouandtheScienceClubhelpusoutwiththeScienceFairnextweek?"

"Let's just say everyone has that "Chibi Awe Face", that originated from those iconic Cookie Run Kingdom Korean Videos!", Herb thought to himself (and you) the moment Mango spoke that fast.

It took at least a few or so seconds until everyone was able to process what Mango just said. Ironically he's still easy to understand despite talking in one breath at times due to excitement.

"Mango? Is it okay if you talk a little slower please?", Cream Puff asked, blushing in embarrassment for her fellow Student Council member and silly-sweet love.

Mango blushed in embarrassment as well, chuckling with the same embarrassed look but was reassuring nonetheless, "Heh heh! Sorry about that Cream Puff. I guess it was hard for you guys to understand when I spoke that fast."

Vampire shook his head with reassurance, "Well actually, we understood what you said Mango. But we also don't want you to say it all in one breath, for your safety."

"Ah!", Mango showed a "Chibi Awe Face" of his own, kindly understanding the situation and in full agreement, "I'll try my best to keep that in mind. Thanks for telling me, heh heh!"

Everyone had a nice fun laugh, simply enjoying the times they have with each other and just in general having a great amount of fun times.

Needless to say, the red-haired boy eventually responded to the slightly younger of the two blonde teens in the room, "From what you mentioned Mango, that sounds like a great idea! I'll make sure that-!"

*beep boop*

Vampire briefly jumped out of his seat the moment he felt a sudden buzzing sound in his pocket. Calming down almost in an instant though, before proceeding to pull his phone out. Getting a recent notification of someone sending him a text message.

He sat there for a couple of seconds reading the text he was sent, before giving one deep but calmly chill sigh, "Sorry guys. But my little sister wants me to help her with something urgent at home."

*SWOOSH!!!*

It was ironically followed by Vampire putting down his payment for his drink at the counter, before immediately dashing out of the Juice Bar like his life depended on it.

This raised a bunch of eyebrows for the rest of the Blooming Friend Group. Both confused and worried of what urgent thing Alchemist texted Vampire moments prior to him bolting out of the Juice Bar. Of course, Sparkling and Herb are the most concerned. But Cream Puff was even more concerned and even scared for Vampire, "Is it just me… Or did Vampire look like he was hiding how afraid he's currently feeling about that text message Alchemist sent to him…?"

I have a cookie run AU I want to rant about because it's consuming me. I've posted about this au, which I like to call the TBD au,

warning, there's walpuff in this au

so timekeeper just saw walnut one day and was like "oo child labor" and tried to get her to join the tbd because they saw potential in her, she politely rejected and went to go get a McDonald's happy meal or something, timekeeper just came back when walnut was older, and tried again, and she accepted, basically getting a job. anyways, cream puff isn't too sure about walnut working at the tbd, but walnut is excited because she gets a chance to not be mundane for once, though a bit saddened about not working with the same people she's worked with for years, but figuring she could always go back later. Anyways, it turns out walnut couldn't handle time magic, and now she's a bit silly. (As in, there are swirls in her eyes and a minor inconvenience can make her almost kill people) she's losing her sanity a bit, helping get rid of time anomalies, doing so, she's seen countless timelines of people she cares about getting hurt, which eats away at her sanity more. There's a visual cue when she's about to snap, the spirals in her eyes spinning really fast, or they'll get bigger, taking up more of her eyes, though, because walnut is a huge lesbian, there is a way to prevent it. walnut and cream puff have been friends for a long time so cream puff knows her really well and knows how to calm her down. cream puff is a pretty powerful well-known wizard, but unlike before, she craves to be mundane. croissant is walnut's cousin, so one day she just found her playing uno with timekeeper, timekeeper forgot to tell croissant about walnut working for the tbd, also, walnut is a bit dumber than she used to be, when she'd snap, it used to look like an anxiety attack, and nothing more, but now if it happened in front of you you'd fear for your life anyways my thumbs hurt from typing so I'm gonna stop

Cookie Run Kingdom: A Cheesy Vow Renewal (Based on Tangled Ever After)

This is a gift for @thetropicalfairy/ @interstellarwizard2019 for being such a great moot! Princess Professor Mozzarella Cookie, Prince Professor Macaroni Cookie, Mac N Cheese Cookie, Fusilli Cookie, Ravioli Cookie, and Bakewell Cookie belong to her. King Parmesan Cookie, King Elderberry Cookie, and Queen ChocoPearl Cookie belong to me. Btw, this is based on an RP we did. Also, this will be split into two parts, so enjoy it while you can! Here’s Part 1!

Synopsis: Earthbread is in a festive mood as everyone gathers for the royal vow renewals of Princess Professor Mozzarella Cookie and Prince Professor Macaroni Cookie. However, when the Brave Gang and the happy couple’s son Mac N Cheese Cookie, as flower girl and ring bearers respectively; lose the rings, a frenzied search and recovery mission gets underway. As the desperate heroes try to get back the rings before anyone discovers they’re missing, they leave behind a trail of disastrous chaos that includes sky lanterns, a flock of cream doves, a berry juice barrel barricade and a very sticky finale. Will the friends save the day and make it to the chapel in time? And will they ever get Macaroni’s face right?

It was morning in the city of Parfaedia, and Walnut Cookie and her father Almond Cookie as well as their friends Latte Cookie and Cream Puff Cookie began to film a brand new episode for their vlog, “The Parfaedia Scoop”. As the camera began rolling, Almond began the episode. “This is the story of how Latte and I lost our jobs.” He said, sarcastically. “Dad!” Walnut replied, knowing what he said was untrue. “I’m kidding, I’m kidding! It was one of the biggest days of our lives- our friends’ Princess Professor Mozzarella Cookie and Prince Professor Macaroni Cookie’s vow renewal day.” The detective said, recounting the exciting events of that day.

(A day earlier…)

“It was the biggest celebration to hit the Golden Cheese Kingdom since the former’s return to her throne!” Latte Cookie said as she remembered what happened. The Golden Cheese Kingdom was as festive as it could get, with cookies such as Carrot Cookie and Beet Cookie helping everyone get the reception area spread out, and Roll Cake and Kiwi decorating the getaway car for the happy couple to drive off into the sunset with. “Everyone was dying to get a glimpse of em!” Walnut added, smiling as she recounted the happenings of the event.

At the same time DJ Cookie was fine tuning their turntable for the reception, and a young Cheesebird was selling insect related wedding merchandise, as Princess Professor Mozzarella Cookie loved bugs. “Everything was perfect, just like they always dreamt it would be.” Mused Latte Cookie, swooning over how amazing that day had been. A few Cheesebirds had been tying up the royal tapestry in the town square, which had Macaroni Cookie’s face accidentally messed up. “Yeah, everything was perf- Oh, come on! They still can't get his face right?!” Almond said as he remembered the embarrassing picture. “It was a magical day. And everything went just as planned.” Cream Puff Cookie replied as her eyes glittered, imagining the Dark Cacaoan Watchers on the roof and sides of the chapel, keeping watch over the ceremony. “Well... Almost.” Almond Replied, knowing that wasn’t exactly true.

Inside the royal chapel, Muscle Cookie played the organ as he smiled, with everyone waiting patiently for the ceremony to truly begin. As Gingerbrave and Co. walked down the aisle, Strawberry Cookie, Walnut Cookie, and Cream Puff Cookie tossed desert rose petals from their woven baskets while everyone took care of the rings- especially Mac N Cheese Cookie, the couple’s son. “This is so exciting!” Strawberry Cookie said as she flung petals all around her. “You bet, Strawberry.” Chili Pepper Cookie said as she brushed a petal away. Suddenly, everyone gasped and turned to look behind themselves (Most notable examples being Raspberry Cookie, Blueberry Cookie, Bumbleberry Cookie, Cranberry Cookie, Shining Glitter Cookie, Vagabond Cookie, The Ginkgoblin Boss, and Stink Eye Tortuga) as the bride, Princess Professor Mozzarella Cookie, appeared at the end of the chapel; with golden butterflies carrying the train of her dress- with the Ancient Healer Pure Vanilla Cookie, the lucky groom Prince Professor Macaroni Cookie, and Pure Vanilla’s best friend White Lily Cookie beaming in happiness at the sight. Knowing that it was time for the big moment, Muscle Cookie threw an ax at Mint Choco Cookie’s Head. “GAH!” He yelped as ducked, hastily beginning to play “Here Comes The Bride” on his violin.

King Parmesan Cookie, Mozzarella’s father, flew down to her and bowed. “You ready, our darling?” He asked, offering her his arm to walk her down. “You bet I am.” She said, before her mother, Golden Cheese Cookie, offered her hand. “Let’s not keep your hubby waiting!” The golden sovereign said before she and her husband took their daughter’s arm and hand, and walked her to the altar. “Don’t cry. Don’t cry. Don’t cry. Don’t cry…” whispered Dark Cacao Cookie to himself as he wiped away the oncoming tears with his handkerchief. “I know how you feel, friend.” Hollyberry Cookie said as she sipped from her glass. “You’re doing great.” White Lily replied as she herself dabbed away her own tears.

Pure Vanilla, as the leader of the Vanilla Kingdom and the master of Ceremonies, had never seen a bride so lovely as the Golden Princess herself. “Wow.” He replied. Macaroni, the Princess Professor’s Husband, felt his heart skip a beat the moment he saw her. “Wow!” He said, dazzled. Poison Mushroom Cookie, despite not being on the guest list, couldn’t resist the bride’s beauty. WOOOOOOW!!!” They exclaimed, but not before they got shoved away by Eclair Cookie, and they threw a mushroom into the middle of the altar.

Eclair couldn’t contain his happiness. Oh my goodness gracious…!” He sniffled as he blew into a napkin. Tea Knight Cookie was also stunned. “A wonderful sight; isn’t it?” He asked. Mozzarella Cookie reached the altar, and the ceremony began. Pure Vanilla then spoke, “Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to celebrate the renewal of Princess Professor Mozzarella Cookie and Prince Professor Macaroni Cookie’s vows in remarriage.” “Oh, it’s so beautiful!” Strawberry Cookie said as she Started to cry.

Suddenly, the mushroom’s Spores drifted past Chili Pepper Cookie’s face, and it tickled. “It sure is, Strawb-Ahh… Ahh… Ahh… AAAACHOOO!!” She Sneezed. But what she realized until seconds later, was that she sneezed the royal wedding rings away on accident, and they sailed out the door. Cream Puff and Walnut saw as well. “THE WEDDING RINGS!!” They cried out in horror. Madeleine Cookie had witnessed the sneeze as well. “This is terrible!” He exclaimed. “We have to get them back somehow!” Espresso Cookie added. But Princess Cookie and Tiger Lily Cookie had seen the rings fly away as well, and they knew they had to do something about it.

However, Chili Pepper imagined Pure Vanilla Cookie asking for the rings much later in the ceremony. “And together they’ll be rewed as husband and wife in everlasting, crispy peace.” Pure Vanilla would finish. The gang would freeze in place, knowing what was coming up next. “May I have the rings?” Pure Vanilla would ask. Mozzarella Cookie would gasp at the bare pillow; and so would Jungleberry Cookie and Royalberry Cookie, followed by Dark Choco Cookie and Whipped Cream Cookie, and soon the entire chapel would be gasping in shock. “Oh no…!” Strawberry Cookie would say. “Those were my Nonna’s wedding rings!!” Fusilli Cookie, Macaroni Cookie’s mother, would cry out. “This is horrible…” Pure Vanilla Cookie would state. “The wedding can’t go on without them!” White Lily Cookie would add.

Hollyberry Cookie and her husband Elderberry Cookie would do a double spit take, followed by them going, “WHAT?!” Dark Cacao Cookie would simply let out a “No…!” While his wife ChocoPearl Cookie faints. “I’ve waited 20 years for this day and it’s RUINED!!” Golden Cheese Cookie would say as she bursts into tears. “I know…!” King Parmesan would say as he comforts his sobbing wife. Then, a Cheesebird Guard would cry out, “The Kingdom is Lost!!!” Followed by Captain Caviar Cookie, who would be flipping out immediately. “THIS IS A LOST CAUSE!!” He would roar. Oyster Cookie would also be sorely upset by what had just happened. “I was looking forward to a beautiful ceremony, but all my expectations just flew out the window!!” She would say before fainting.

Black Raisin would be screeching. “We’re gonna be on the news for all the wrong reasons!!!” She would say. WildBerry would also start overreacting. “The wedding’s gonna be called off!!!” He would say. Crunchy Chip would pipe up. “We’re all gonna die!!!” He would wail. “Everybody…” Pancake Cookie would begin. “PANIC!!!” Gumball and Cherry Cookie would finish simultaneously. The entire chapel would start screaming, and before the gang knew it, The entire Golden Cheese Kingdom would be exploding in a literal blaze of unceremonious glory.

Luckily, the ceremony was still going on in the present, so the gang knew they had to do something. “And the mutual respect which they bring to their life together…” Pure Vanilla continued. As Pure Vanilla spoke, the ones who had seen the rings fly away made the ever so obvious excuse that they were heading to the bathroom. “The union of two cookies…” Pure Vanilla continued. Then, they bolted out the chapel door and after the rings. The Brave Gang quickly ran outside the chapel, but the rings went two ways and rolled off the patio!

“Ok. We’ve gotta split up. Strawberry, Wizard, Princess, Cream Puff, Espresso, and I will go after Mozz’s ring. The rest of you go after Macaroni’s!” Gingerbrave said. “Ok! Catch you later!” Chili Pepper Cookie said as the two teams jumped down to the courtyard below.

In said courtyard, Cookies and non cookie folks were preparing for the menu for that afternoon’s wedding reception. Mozzarella’s ring had bounced into a pot of pumpkin soup, and Gingerbrave hurried to get it. “Ok, I’ve got everything ready for the reception. I can see those hungry guests any minute-!” Carrot Cookie said, before seeing Gingerbrave grab the ring out of the pot. “GAH!” She replied, and Team A dropped the ring, and away it bounced from table to table. “Don’t let it get away!” Beet Cookie exclaimed. The servants scrambled around, but Wizard managed to pin the ring against an ice sculpture of two butterflies flying together in love, which was made by Snow Sugar Cookie.

At the same time, Team B was chasing after Macaroni’s ring, which was rolling down the street. “Come back, little ring!” Chili Pepper said. “We need you for the ceremony!” Madeleine shouted. But Chili Pepper, Madeleine, and Butter Tiger were so busy chasing after the ring, they didn’t notice the commemorative clothing and makeup carts. They ended up crashing into all of them, and the trio came out wearing a bit of everything, including pink dresses and hats over the tuxedos they were supposed to wear for that day.

“Hello Ladies!” Licorice Cookie said as he made a kissy face. “Not now, Old Rags Cookie!” Chili Pepper said as she punched him away, only to see the ring nestled underneath a cart. Walnut Cookie almost reached it due to her size! But at the same time, as Team A was getting Wizard’s staff off of the ice sculpture; the ring bounced away again, and a mole servant had knocked into the table and sent the ice sculpture flying. And said ice sculpture landed on the end of a cart, launching Team B into the air! “AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!”

Inside, Pure Vanilla continued the ceremony. “…Held in reverence, dignity, honor, respect…” just as he said that; Poison Mushroom Cookie knew something was about to happen. And lo and behold; Team B flew by the window. “Lookie!” They pointed. “HELP!!!” Team B screamed as they flew by the Chapel Window. Luckily; everyone else was paying attention to the ceremony; so they didn’t notice (Even the watchers, who were desperately trying not to cry). Chiffon the Cake Hound whimpered and Poison Mushroom sighed, knowing they were the only ones to witness the anomaly. Team B landed in the Getaway car, which was going to take Mozzarella Cookie and Macaroni Cookie away to their second honeymoon. “Ow! Guys! T-T-The ring!” Custard III replied as he saw Macaroni’s ring pass by. Tiger Lily pointed at the rolling trinket. “After… ring!” She said. Chili Pepper then yelled, “Step on it!!” They then drove after the ring, hoping to catch it…

*Hours later, a party was taken place in the Vanilla Castle's ballroom. Madeleine and Espresso were walking around, greeting the guests who had already made it. But we'll focus on two different Cookies. Cream Puff and Lilybell were exploring the buffet table.*

Cream Puff: Does anything catch your eye?

Lilybell: That Jelly dish looks interesting. Is that raisins in there?

Cream Puff: Yup! A Raisin Village special! The raisins add some bitterness to the sweet Jellies. *Looks up to see Madeleine and Espresso talking to some familiar Cookies.* Oh look! Clotted Cream, Custard Cream, and our Crème Republic family are here!

*Lilybell looked over to see Madeleine and Espresso talking to a few fancy-looking Cookies. She wasn't sure who they were but they seem close to the family.*

Cream Puff: Come on! Let's introduce you to them! *grabs Lilybell's hand.*

Lilybell: Cream Puff! Wait!

*The two sisters ran over to the engaged couple and the Crème Republic extended family. Lilybell could feel her stomach start to twist and turn. The smallest Cookie noticed the sisters first*

Custard III: Cream Puff! *Runs over to her and hugs her tight* It's been so long!

Cream Puff: *giggles* It's only been two months.

Custard III: Still too long!

Light Cream: Custard Cream! *Her and the rest of the group walk up to the trio.* Please don't run off like that again. *Notices Lilybell* Oh! Hello. Who is this Cookie?

Madeleine: Ah! Forgive me. *Places his hand on Lilybell's shoulder* Everyone, this is Lilybell Cookie. Our long lost sister.

Vanilla Sugar: Another one? How did one of your parents-

Madeleine: It's a long story that we can tell later. *Looks at Lilybell* These are our extended family from the Crème Republic. House Madeleine who raised me...

*Clotted Cream, Madeleine, and Espresso looked at each other nervously. Lilybell noticed this but figured it was nothing.*

Chapter Four

Emo music blasted from his headphones while he emptied his trash can. It was cloudy that day, and Virgil thinks that it was about to rain. He sighs tiredly, stretching his back. It was his free day which meant that he could finally get some peace and quiet but as usual, it would be the opposite of it.

He had so many things to do; doing laundry, cleaning the house, tending the plants, etc. Virgil sighed again, running a hand through his hair. He needs a break somehow.

Virgil was about to head back when someone suddenly appeared in front of him, scaring the absolute shit out of Virgil. And on instinct, he jabbed the guy in the chest, making the other stumble backward in surprise.

"Owww!"Roman exclaimed, clutching his chest, wincing in pain. "What was th..that for?"Roman asks in sheer confusion.

"You almost scared me to death! Why would you just pop up in front of me outta nowhere!?"Virgil responded defensively, glaring softly at the guy. But before Roman could answer, Virgil spoke once more. "I'm sorry, it was on instinct. Didn't mean to hurt you.".

Roman gave him a warm smile, "That's alright, Virge. It's kind of my fault anyway." He laughed sheepishly.

"Why are you here, by the way?"Virgil asks curiously. "Actually, I was going to give you something," Roman says before pulling out something from a bag (that Virgil just noticed). It was a plastic container.

"I made quite a lot of pastries last night, so I'm giving you and Mrs. Barret half of it. It ain't much, but I hope you'll enjoy them."Roman said, holding out the container. Virgil looked confused for a second but grabbed the container. Virgil glances at Roman before taking off the lid of the plastic container, revealing an assortment of pastries such as cream puffs, brownies, chocolate chip cookies, and some tiny-looking muffins. He is quite amazed too that, it all fits inside the container.

"Wow... this is a lot. You baked all of these??"Virgil asked incredulously. Roman nodded, a grin creeping its way up on his lips, and nodded to Virgil's question.

"Yeah, pretty much. I was bored, so I decided to bake some."He said, rubbing the back of his neck. "You should try it.".

Roman said, gesturing to the pastries in the other's hands. Virgil hesitated for a moment before slowly reaching out and picking one of the pastries and taking a bite. The taste exploded in his mouth, leaving him shocked. Virgil quickly chewed the pastry before swallowing it whole with a huge sigh of contentment.

"So, how's it?"Roman queries, eyeing Virgil's reaction. Virgil gives him a thumbs-up sign with one hand while holding the container in the other.

A large smile crept up on his face. "I love it," Virgil answered happily, feeling giddy from the taste.

"I'm glad that you liked it. Maybe, we'll bake together sometime?"Roman suggested smiling.

Virgil chuckles and shook his head in response, "As much as I'd love to, I don't know how to bake."He admitted sheepishly.

"Well, I'll teach you, no problem!"Roman declared with a determined look on his face.

"You don't have to really-"

"I insist, let me teach you, "Roman interjected. Virgil sighed. He was about to decline, but when Roman stared at him intensely with a pleading look, he sighed in defeat. "Fine. I'll let you.".

A smile broke out on Roman's face. "Great!"He exclaimed, clapping his hands excitedly. Virgil couldn't help but laugh, enjoying Roman's enthusiasm.

"Anyway, I should go back inside now, I have a shit ton of things to do. Again, thanks for the pastries."Virgil says, smiling softly at Roman before turning away to head back to his house.

Roman watches him with a small smile, but then he remembered something. He quickly calls out to Virgil before the other could even step on his porch. "Virgil, wait!–".

Virgil stops in his tracks before turning around, raising a questioning eyebrow at him.

"Can I have your number?"Roman requested shyly. Virgil smiles softly at him before nodding. "Sure.".

Virgil was finally done with his chores at long last! Hurray! Now he can rest, maybe take a nap or just scroll through Tumblr or anything else really.

He was nibbling on a chocolate chip cookie as he plops down on his bed, reaching for his phone on the nightstand. There weren't any new notifications... well, except for one. It was a message from Roman.

Virgil snorts in amusement at that.

He opens the notification and checks the message, reading the words written there.

'Hey, Virge!! This js Roman btw'

'I can finally contact you now :D!'

'Wait, lemme change ur contact name'

A smile slowly crept up on Virgil's lips, unknowingly while he reads through the messages. Roman spammed him with various messages and even sent him some pictures of the pastries he baked. Not long enough, he decided to reply to him.

It didn't even take a minute, Roman already replied to his messages. Virgil wonders if the other had waited long for him to reply.

Virgil snickers slightly at Roman's use of emojis, they were... quite cute and of fucking course the other would use it.

It takes a minute or two for Roman to reply.

'Im bored typing, Can I face time you????'

Virgil didn't even get to reply to his message when his phone suddenly began to ring and vibrate in his grasp, surprising him. He sat up properly and tried to make himself look presentable before answering the call.

"Heyyy, Princey..."Virgil says rather awkwardly, waving at Roman through the phone. Roman grinned excitedly and waved back eagerly.

"Hello, Virge!!"The other greeted cheerfully in response. Virgil could imagine a tail wagging behind Roman in excitement like that of a dog (specifically a golden retriever).

"You're awfully cheerful, Roman. What's really up?"Virgil teases Roman. He did notice how Roman was cheerful, now he's quite curious to know the reason behind it.

Roman shrugged. "Nothing really. Just... feeling giddy, you know?". Roman explained, smiling at Virgil. The latter nods knowingly in understanding.

"Anyway, are you in your room? Can you show me around??"Roman gasps dramatically. Virgil freezes up and looks around his room before looking back at Roman and grimaces slightly. "Uhhhh.... my room's a mess right now.".

"Oh come on! Pretty please?? I won't judge."Roman pleaded, giving Virgil puppy eyes. Virgil rolled his eyes and sighed. Goddammit with Roman and his puppy eyes, that shouldn't have worked on him.

"Ughh, fine. If you ever judge me, I will go to your house and choke you to death."Virgil groans, giving in to Roman's pleading.

Roman gasps loudly with wide eyes, a look of horror on his face. "Oh prisparmiami, Virgil (Oh, please spare me, Virgil)!"Roman cries out dramatically in Italian. Virgil has no clue what it means but just goes with the other. He laughs slightly at Roman's theatrics.

Virgil giggles before getting up from his bed, "Alright, I'll show you my room now.". He turns the camera of his phone and walks around his room, letting Roman see it. Roman gasps and awes at the sight of his bedroom.

"Your room is really cool! And wow, you have a lot of posters. Now I'm quite jealous– Oh. My. Gosh–"

Virgil's eyebrows furrow a bit when he heard Roman gasp like he had seen something worth shocking for.

"What?"Virgil queries confused and curious.

"Is-Is that A ‘THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS’ POSTER!??!!"Roman shrieks excitedly.

Virgil blinks confused. "Uhhh… yeah?…"

"No fucking wayyy! I've tried to find that poster but I didn't find one online for some reason. I even went through eBay and Wish! " Roman rambles off.

"It's probably sold out or something. Got mine recently on a garage sale." Virgil teases, a smirk on his lips. "What? You jealous?".

Roman lets out an offended gasp, clutching a chest and shaking his head rapidly. "Noooooooooo!!!! Pssh, why would I be jealous over some poster?? I have plenty of posters in my room too." He said defensively.

"Uh huh," Virgil replied, still smirking. "You're jealous over my awesome poster." He continued teasingly. Roman glares softly at him through the phone before sighing in defeat. "Alright, fine. I surrender. Your poster's really cool and I want it." Roman admitted.

Virgil raises an amused eyebrow at Roman's admission, and soon enough, he was bursting into laughter. Roman doing the same as well.

"Oh my gosh, what are we even doing? This is ridiculous. We're a bunch of idiots." Virgil says between fits of laughter. When Virgil stopped laughing, he looked at Roman who smiled at him happily.

"What're you looking at, Princey?" He queries with a soft giggle, trying hard not to laugh again. Roman just grins widely and replies. "You. You look adorable when you laugh, you should do it more often.".

At those words, Virgil felt butterflies erupt in his stomach. Why? Why does he feel so damn warm all of a sudden? Before Virgil could say something stupid like, 'You think I'm adorable?', he hears knocking at his door followed by Mrs. Barret's voice.

"Sweetie, are you there? Dinner's ready." She said softly through the door. Virgil responded quickly, "Yeah, Mom. I'll be there in a minute.". He then turned back to his phone. " I- uh, gotta go eat dinner now. I'll talk to you later, okay?".

Roman nodded. "Okay. See ya Virgil." He says softly, Virgil notices that he looked a bit disappointed but he didn't point it out. Virgil gave a brief nod in return before hanging up the call. He stands there in the middle of his room, trying to figure out why he feels odd. Maybe it's because Roman said that he looks adorable especially when he smiled. But that doesn't make sense, he only said it to tease him and he doesn't even actually look adorable.

Virgil sighs to himself as he decides that he will just try and ignore it. For now. He shook his head before heading out of his room to the kitchen. Maybe the food will distract him from all of this mushy feeling.
