I don't think I mentioned it in the original post because it was getting pretty long, but I was thinking of a lot of the same examples! For me, it falls into the headcanon category where I don't necessarily think it was intended by the creators but it is an interpretation (though obviously not the only one) that fits pretty well with what we're shown in canon. Also I'm in editing hell with the first chapter of my thesis and massively procrastinating, so here's a graph I made about it (the X represents the headcanon):

DO I SHRINK THE SCANS BY 25% OR JUST CONVERT THEM TO JPGS I DONT KNOW JPGS FREAK ME OUT. THE SCANS ARE SO LARGE THAT 25% HONESTLY DOESNT MESS THEM UP MUCH BUT THE JPGS ARE SMALLER FILES EVEN UNSHRUNK. Hey, I got a leather jacket just recently. Do you know if there’s a patch I could buy anywhere of the “Let’s Rock!” icon that appears at the start of a match, specifically the Strive version?

Oh man it's hard finding Guilty Gear patches because search results bring up the actual game patch notes... I wasn't able to find a single embroidered GG patch anywhere but there honestly aren't that many people who make GG fan merch to begin with :(

Since the text is so clean, you might be able to paint it onto your jacket pretty easily using stencils. I painted stuff on mine with that method and Angelus leather paints and it was like a quick day project and about $15 in supplies. If your jacket is black or white it'll be even easier since you can fix mistakes using the black/white paint.

There are also a bunch of stores on Etsy that will make custom embroidered patches for you at pretty fair prices. I've never had a patch made that way before but people on r/battlejackets do fairly often and it seems like as long as you read the reviews for the store first it's a relatively safe method.
