I have sad news 😔

I've been going back and forth for months, even close to a year by now, about leaving Tumblr. It has been challenging because I couldn't decide if I should completely deactivate, make a new blog to repost my fics there, or delete everything but keep this blog empty. Tbh, I don't want anyone to steal my url lol. My hangup is really just the fact that I know it sucks to no longer have access to your favorite fics (not me being arrogant assuming my fics are anyone's favorites but y'know~). However, I also need to find peace with the fact that Tumblr hasn't been fun for a long time for reasons that I don't want to share in this post. So, I've come to the tough conclusion that I need to dip. This blog won't be deactivated, but I'll delete pretty much everything on it, probs within the next few days. I will keep most of my fics on AO3.

I am so unbelievably grateful for everyone who has made being on Tumblr for the past 2+ years fun. There are silver linings and hidden gems within my moots and beloved followers, and y'all are the reason I've lasted this long, as well as the reason I've become a better writer and fallen more in love with our lovely boys. It has been fun hanging with y'all! I'll miss my Taehyung whores the most.

Weekly reminder that it's not okay to illegally download and distribute free copies of recently-published books from a niche market where the authors depend directly on monthly royalties to pay their bills.

Books are a luxury and if you can't afford a title, save your pennies or check out a copy from your local library. There are plenty of free resources and public domain texts available in the meantime.

It's worth mentioning that plenty of authors in the witchcraft and pagan markets make a point of providing free resources and advice to the community on a regular basis, myself included. To take that information and then turn around and steal from us on top of it is not only petty, it's cruel, especially considering the financial hardship we're all facing in the current economy.

Download overpriced textbooks and public domain titles, not witch books.

Hey, CampFam, so...a thought just occurred:

Kenji isn't calling his mom this week.

There's gonna be a news story about how Daniel Kon died in a dinosaur attack, and his son was unavailable for comment. Also that Yaz's campus suffered a dinosaur breach and three people were killed or wounded, also there was a van that got rammed off a bridge. A van whose plates will be matched to a Ben Pincus, whose friend was living on the campus, and who was spotted with Sammy Gutierrez a day or so prior at a roadside show disruption. No bodies will have been recovered, but neither will at least one of the bodies from the campus.

Obviously DPW will provide forensics on the Becklespinaxes' waste (assuming the PH level is low enough), and probably find that only two humans were devoured (maybe even positively identify whom), but the fact remains that for at least a week....

All of the Nublar Six's families are going to think their children are dead. Again.

This came to me while I was reading a novel:

At the supermarket,

Og!Cale: Depressed? But I'm not depressed.

Og!Cale: I almost never feel sad or opressed.

Og!Cale: Actually, most of the time I don't feel anything at all!

Kind lady who was helping him to choose groceries: ...

Guy squatting next to them comparing soups: Can I recomend you my therapist?

For context, it was a modern AU in which Og!Cale had just moved to live by himself and went to buy essentials and meal for the first time. He had bought snacks and one or two items in stores before, but he never went to buy his own groceries and normal house stuff. He was just improvising and picking up anything he thought was useful.

Then he saw protein and vitamine bars and he was like "hey, why didn't I know this existed? Now I won't have to eat food!" And started puting a lot of them on his cart. One by one.

So a middle aged lady near him noticed it. "Young boy, you can take the box if you want".

"Oh."

And then she started to give him tips and helping him because he obviously had no idea what he was doing.

"Be careful when you pick fruit and vegetables. Fresh ones are better than frozen ones."

"This offer is a good chance. You always run out of napkins fast."

And so.

At some point the chat she was passing him recipes and told him to cook his own meals of it was possible because is healthier. And Og!Cale was like "but can't I just eat this bars and call it a day?"

Which turned into he telling her that food normally tastes awful or like nothing at all for him.

"And the doctor said you're healthy? Then it could be your mental health. My nephew had the same problem. He still does, but it happens less now. He was going through a big depression at that time".

By the way, the guy was totally eardropping.
