DAILY MEDITATIONS AND AFFIRMATIONS - May 19, 2024
"If I am being poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice of your service and faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all." - Philippians 2:17
Are you willing to sacrifice yourself for the development of the spiritual life of another Believer -- to pour out your life so that Jesus' sacrifice will not be in vain.
Are you willing to give of yourself until you are used up and exhausted -- not seeking to be ministered to, but to minister.
Come to understand your Christ identity with a mindset of bearing fruit that remains for His Kingdom. Knowing that as you are to seek first His Kingdom, you enter His presence with joy and expectation.
Get ready for God to move you out of the confines and limitations of what you have experienced in the past as you consecrate yourself.
AFFIRMATIONS:
I confirm oneness with Jesus with my whole being.
I begin each day with joyful expectation watching what He will do through me.
I wait quietly in His presence while His thoughts form silently in the depths of my being.
As I rely on His empowering Presence, He infuses His love into me, moment by moment, as it overflows into my heart. I give that same love back to Him.

The Baltic Sea region is home to some of the most authentic amber in the world. And some of the most sacred Tibetan malas are made of this Baltic amber. Tibetan beeswax is known as one of the Seven Treasures of Buddhism. And since time immemorial, the various esoteric sects of Buddhism, have used Tibetan beeswax to worship the Buddha, to show unity and to consecrate holy relics. In Tibet, beeswax is a symbol of unity and plays a pivotal role in Tibetan life. It is not only seen as an aesthetic necessity and the wealth of secular life, but more importantly, Tibetan beeswax embodies the uninhibited cultural spirit and religious beliefs of Tibetan people. . What Side are You On?
The word, consecrate, stands out to me today. Consecrate: to make something or declare something sacred, blessed, sanctified, make holy, dedicated to God, devoted, reserved, anointed, set apart. In Luke 2, we read that Jesus’ parents took Him to the temple to be consecrated to God. We took that seriously as the template for consecrating our children to God when they were babies. We verbally…

Consecrate Yourself Today. You'll See Amazing Results Tomorrow
“Consecrate yourself” is a phrase you don’t hear every day. (In fact, you may have lived your entire life without even considering it!) You might say “help yourself”, or “watch yourself”, and you may have heard Archie Bunker say “stifle yourself!” to Edith, but he never said, “Consecrate yourself, Edith!” So, I’m curious. Have YOU ever consecrated yourself? How did you do it? What happened? And,…

Judges 17: Micah Admits To Taken His Mother's Eleven Hundred Shekels
1 Now a man named Micah from the hill country of Ephraim
2 said to his mother, “The eleven hundred shekels of silver that were taken from you and about which I heard you utter a curse—I have that silver with me; I took it.”
Then his mother said, “The Lord bless you, my son!”
3 When he returned the eleven hundred shekels of silver to his mother, she said, “I solemnly consecrate my silver to the Lord for my son to make an image overlaid with silver. I will give it back to you.”
4 So after he returned the silver to his mother, she took two hundred shekels of silver and gave them to a silversmith, who used them to make the idol. And it was put in Micah’s house.
5 Now this man Micah had a shrine, and he made an ephod and some household gods and installed one of his sons as his priest.
6 In those days Israel had no king; everyone did as they saw fit.
7 A young Levite from Bethlehem in Judah, who had been living within the clan of Judah,
8 left that town in search of some other place to stay. On his way he came to Micah’s house in the hill country of Ephraim.
9 Micah asked him, “Where are you from?”
“I’m a Levite from Bethlehem in Judah,” he said, “and I’m looking for a place to stay.”
10 Then Micah said to him, “Live with me and be my father and priest, and I’ll give you ten shekels of silver a year, your clothes and your food.”
11 So the Levite agreed to live with him, and the young man became like one of his sons to him.
12 Then Micah installed the Levite, and the young man became his priest and lived in his house.
13 And Micah said, “Now I know that the Lord will be good to me, since this Levite has become my priest.”

Vol. 3, Lesson 1 THE CHARGE AND PORTION OF THE PRIESTS AND LEVITES
Numbers 18:1-32 In our Bible passage, God spoke directly to Aaron to show the seriousness of the instructions given in regard to the works of the priest and Levites. The priesthood was made up of Aaron (high priest), his sons and their descendants. The Levites on the other hand were people called to support the work of the priests. They did not have the same prominent position as the priests, but…

"I do not ask that you take them out of the world but that you keep them from the evil one. They do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world. Consecrate them in the truth. Your word is truth."

9 When Moses told the words of the people to the Lord, 10 the Lord said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments 11 and be ready for the third day. For on the third day the Lord will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people. 12 And you shall set limits for the people all around, saying, ‘Take care not to go up into the…

Daily Praise – January 14, 2024
Jeremiah 29:11  ‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.
GOD HAS PLANS FOR ME THAT I NEED TO ACCESS.
Isaiah 60:1 “Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.
Romans 13:11-12  Do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep;
For now £salvation is nearer to us than when we believed. 12The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.
I MOVE INTO THE CHRIST CALLING GOD HAS FOR ME THROUGH PRAISE.
Luke 9:23 - And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”
WHEN JESUS CALLED HIS DISCIPLES, IT WAS FOR TOTAL COMMITMENT.  THEY HAD TO BE WILLING TO LEAVE EVERYTHING TO FOLLOW HIM.
DO WE?
IF HE  IS NOT THE  LORD OF ALL, THEN  HE  IS  NOT  OUR LORD AT ALL.

Saw someone mention something about 'of course Gabriel would get along with a demon, he's an awful person--' and no no no you're missing the point. Like yeah, he does suck and has been awful to Aziraphale, but he's not Uniquely Awful, nor is that the reason he gets along with Beelzebub. He gets along with Beelzebub because they are fundamentally the same, because there is no difference between angels and demons in Good Omens.
One of the things reiterated again and again in the book Good Omens is how Heaven and Hell is fundamentally the same. It's noted that demon wings are not black, but white, and during what while the showdown between Adam and Satan in the series, all the angels and demons actually appear on earth and square off against each other--and the narration specifically says that you couldn't tell the angels apart from the demons. That's why Gabriel and Beelzebub get the same complaints from both Heaven and Hell about how hard it is to get the angels and demons to back down from a war, that's why Crowley says at the end of season 1 that the real Armageddon will be the combined hosts of Heaven and Hell versus humanity. It's why it was mentioned, when talking about season 1, that Heaven and Hell were envisioned as being the upper floors and basement of the same basement--is why the methods to get to both places are always in the same location! The escalators and the elevator!
And that's why Gabriel and Beelzebub got along. Because they were in the exact same position experiencing the exact same difficulties and complaints, and because they the exact same amount of actual care for Heaven and Hell--precisely zero. They fell in love because they're similar, but at the end of the day, all the angels and demons are 'similar', because the demons used to be angels too! Which we are reminded, when Crowley correctly analyzes angels like Muriel, Heaven as a structure, and guesses that they STILL haven't changed the passwords. Crowley recognizes that Heaven and Hell are the same, and are plagued by effectively the same problems, and so he rejects both. He rejects Beelzebub's offer to become a Duke of Hell, even if it would protect Aziraphale. He rejects Aziraphale's offer to become an angel again. Crowley knows that both sides are rife with systematic problems, and so he goes all-in on our side. And on humanity's side.

The Firstborn Blessing
The Bible, especially in the Old Testament, speaks often about the firstborn humans and even firstborn animals that were considered sacred to God. After the Israelites were rescued from slavery in Egypt, He commanded the people to consecrate every firstborn male human and firstborn animal to Him (Exodus 22:29-30). We followed that way by consecrating our children to God! This morning, we’ll…

see picture of giant artichoke restaurent building on tumblr.edu
reverse image search and find out it's in california (you live in californa)
find out there is an artichoke festival 2 hrs drive from you but you already missed it this year
plan to go next year
buy the hat (and book) from the online store because you love artichokes and are definitely going next year so it's ok to break the rule of "go to a location/event before buying a hat"
don't feel good and don't have the necessary Driving Endurance built up to make it there and back so you miss the festival :(
oh well there is next year
spend the year going on many 1hr and longer drives
your mom is in town for a few weeks and it overlaps with the festival, she also loves artichokes and instilled your love of artichokes in you
like two weeks ago she said she got a deal for a hotel near it so let's drive down saturady, have a nice dinner, then go on sunday
bring the hat you bought over a year ago and have a lovely time, eat artichokes steamed grilled fried cupcaked and taco'ed :)
don't eat the burgered meatstuffed or breadbowled artichokes because they would have been too filling for you to have eaten all the other artichokes
see a video about the history of artichokes in californai and it has a picture of the restaurant from tumblr!
look up restaurant and it's on the way home! barely out of the way at all!
wear the hat to take a picture with the restaurant!
???
