Life was always filled with misfortunes, all being thrown at one over and over until sometimes it was too much. But to you, not everything was bad. The beating rays of the Italian sun rained down with relentless heat, and to those unfortunate enough to farm when the sun was at its peak, or to even dawn armour from head to toe gained your sympathies.

Although the keep was warm, it was not as hot as it was outside and you were thankful— but the layers of fabric that had adorned your bodice stuck to your skin and bound all heat to your body. Perhaps you were unfortunate as well, for your clothing was soaked and sticking to you; but such was normal for summers and as a lady of the house you had to endure. Vittorio was gone on yet another expedition, leaving you alone to your own devices. You wondered how he was managing through the hot summer, however you assumed well. He was smart, and had probably found a way to keep cool if he was still in this familiar climate.

Your mind wandered to the men clad in armour, how they had been feeling as the sun beat down upon the hot metal— they were nearly fainting you bet, and your eyes wandered to Tarhos.

He stood by the door alone, his back turned to you as you tried to relish the cool breeze flowing in from your window. It was much too hot to be doing anything, and you had chosen to sulk in your quarters. The knight at your door was tall, and you had known his armour was heavy just by its look. You wondered if he was suffocating as the hot, humid air never lifted just as you— but he was different, and was the Guardia Compagnia.

Your husband left them home this time instead of taking them on his journey, and you were happy.

Although rarely spoken to, you were fond of Tarhos. Perhaps you were drawn to him, to his tall stature and professional nature, more than a married lady should be— but you could not help it, as fantasies of your childhood sparked through your mind and heart while you gazed at him.

The thought of being a princess and having a knight in shining armour to come save you sent nostalgic excitement through you, remembering the storybooks you had grown to love and attach yourself to. When your marriage had come, you shook off the dreadful anxiety that came with it and hoped that you would live in a fairytale, in an ideal life that a lady would— however you had been wrong.

No child had barren your womb, and at times you were grateful— the others not. Perhaps you were only disappointed as that is what your life had groomed you to want, to carry children for your husband, or maybe you were disappointed because it caused a feeling of loneliness, of being loveless. You knew you loved your lord husband, but you wondered if he had loved you the same. He was busy, and had little time for your comforts— but that was what you had grown used to, and you solemnly accepted that you would have no children of your own, or a husband to fully love you.

At times you wondered if pursuing another would have been better, or if you had married another lord and became his lady wife you would not think such thoughts, but that is not what happened and you could not change it.

A slight creek from down below your window had made you focus back to the present. Staring was not ladylike, and you smiled at your moronic thoughts. You could not have the knight at your door, you knew it— however a small spark of childish hope brewed in your heart. Perhaps one day it would fade and fizzle, leave and be forgotten. Or maybe it would come true, to see your titles as Lady of Portoscuro relinquish and become a forgotten lady in the history books, happy with the unattainable man stationed outside of your chambers’ door, watching and guarding.

He was only something you could only hope for, but guilt nagged at your heart. He was honourable, chivalrous. He would not break vows, and nor would you.

Inizia oggi e prosegue fino al 14 luglio presso il Teatro Annibal Caro, Civitanova Marche (MC) la residenza creativa a cura di AMAT di Francesco Colaleo | CIE MF Maxime&Francesco per Farde-Moi

Sono trascorsi dieci giorni dalla ripresa di #fardemoi. Giorni intensi, di costruzione, creazione di senso, ricerca di equilibri spaziali, connessioni, impressioni e raccolta meticolosa delle intuizioni percepite. Oggi parliamo delle fonti che hanno ispirato il progetto. “Ceci n’est pas une nuage”, perché quelle che indossano gli artisti non sono nuvole, ma una loro rappresentazione. L’utilizzo scenico delle parrucche bianche over size, indossate dagli interpreti, rimanda all’universo pittorico di René Magritte e alle sue opere dove, sul volto dei soggetti della tela, si osservano mele verdi, nuvole, colombe... questa visione poliforme e surreale ha guidato il lavoro coreografico verso una logica di costruzione assurda, che non desidera seguire regole temporali standard, ma soltanto impressioni e visioni che stanno aldilà delle cose tangibili : depositate in quella zona delicata e segreta della memoria o dell’inconscio. Caro Dago, ho letto da te un intervento di tale Cesare Vento di cui ho appreso oggi l’esistenza, ma che appartiene a un onorato studio legale che ben conosco essendo stato tanti anni alla direzione di quotidiani economici e finanziari come Mf-Milano Finanza e Italia Oggi. Leggo che l’avvocato è Vento di tempesta in un bicchiere d’acqua perché legge nell’articolo sul mutuo casa del professore Mario Draghi un tono critico e qualunquista che non c’era.

Spiega l’avvocato che deve saperla lunga che il mutuo ipotecario ipoteca l’immobile del prof. Draghi e che questa sia garanzia che sopravvive a qualsiasi età ed evento infausto possa capitare al debitore. Già, io che nulla so immaginavo che mutuo ipotecario questo significasse per tutti, non solo per Draghi. Quindi se basta il bene ipotecato a garantire, perché vale almeno il 120% del valore del finanziamento, mi chiedo come tutti gli istituti di norma si ostinino di fronte a questa certa garanzia a rifiutare il finanziamento ventennale a chi lo chiede alle stesse identiche condizioni avendo passato peró la sessantina. Perché di questo sono certo.

Così con la semplice garanzia dell’ipoteca e l’obbligo degli eredi viene rifiutato praticamente da tutti gli istituti. Se ne puó discutere davanti a una fidejussione, o con una polizza a vita a garanzia. Non ho mai visto un ultrasettantenne peró sottoscrivere una polizza vita a questo fine perché sempre che ci sia compagnia disposta a farlo, il premio da pagare sarebbe assolutamente non conveniente. Certo se l’Avvocato Vento si fa trascinare dalla tempesta, poi rischia di perdere carte e ricordi. Lo aiuto raccontando un’altra storia.

Vero che Draghi è stato numero uno della banca centrale europea e pure di quella europea. E infatti l’articolo esordiva proprio così: “voglio vedere la banca che rifiuta il mutuo a uno con la sua storia e i suoi redditi”. Ma al mondo questo è successo. Perfino a uno più importante di lui. Si chiama Ben Bernanke, per 3 anni in consiglio della Fed e per 8 alla guida: il primo banchiere centrale del mondo. Ha finito l’incarico, ha scritto un libro che gli ha portato 2,4 milioni di dollari di diritti di autore.

È diventato conferenziere come capita e per sentire le sue analisi in giro per il mondo erano disposti ogni volta a pagare 400 mila dollari. Il conto in banca era di quelli che contano. Aveva un mutuo casa pesante, a condizioni assai sfavorevoli. Ha fatto la stessa cosa di Draghi: è andato in banca, ha chiesto di accenderne un altro ipotecario per chiudere il primo, e continuare a pagare rate a condizioni migliori.

La banca con cortesia glielo ha negato: aveva tanti soldi sì, ma non fissi ogni mese. Non c’erano per l’istituto sufficienti garanzie. L’ha raccontato Bernanke stesso sorridendo e fiero da ex banchiere centrale di essere stato trattato come sarebbe accaduto a chiunque altro americano allo stesso sportello. Una splendida storia.
