ICYMI: Governor Ron DeSantis Launches Operation Blue Ridge in North Carolina and Tennessee

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—Yesterday, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the launch of Operation Blue Ridge, a comprehensive multi-state agency response aimed at assisting North Carolina and Tennessee in their recovery efforts following the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene. Operation Blue Ridge will mobilize a coordinated effort involving the Florida Division of Emergency Management, Florida State Guard, Florida National Guard, Florida Department of Transportation, Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, a Florida Law Enforcement Coordination Task Force, and a dedicated Law Enforcement Strike Team.

Additionally, under Governor Ron DeSantis’ leadership, Operation Blue Ridge is helping Floridians seeking rescue in Western North Carolina. Those in need of assistance are encouraged to fill out the form at. 👇

i think when love is genuinely at the core of the relationship, it won’t ever fade out or dim away or be gone. Because love is the most constant thing that can remain. Even when I know you turns into I knew you once. Even when I love you turns into I loved you once and you probably always will. Even when time distance, and circumstances force you to grow apart, love will remain. Because when love is the core emotion, their wins have you cheering, their happiness has you gleaming, their good days are yours even if you're not a part of it anymore like you used to be. And sometimes that's love too, letting go when all you want to do is hold on. We have a nag for wanting to hold so tightly the good things and people in our lives like that will preserve it. Because life is a combination of holding on and letting go and navigating those little shifts and changes. And I know it hurt sometimes. How beautiful would it be to be able to keep everyone and everything that's ever touched our hearts and souls? How beautiful would it be, to be keepers of all of it? But when love is genuinely at the core of any relationship, there will come a day when paths cross once more. That goodbye gets replaced with hello I've missed you & what you'll discover is love still lives here.

Back to work after injury day has me more exhausted than usual even on half hours, but I'm happy. A new position that I reallyyy want has opened up with the city and I really like the supervisor I'm working with right now on my adjusted duties, and my friend gave me a big jar of honey for my birthday, and I'm making tasty tea, and I'm going to go see my lovely boyfriend, and I have many friends and family and loved ones across the nation and across the world. Things might be rough sometimes (which I don't normally talk about, in order to spare y'all from my Moods) but life is Good, and I'm Happy, and I made it Home Safe. And very soon I'll either get good food or be very debauched or more likely, both 😊

Coming Together || Nathan, Maddie and Amy

I don’t want to do this to Maddie, Nathan intoned inside his head, hoping Apollo would listen. “Shut up, you insignificant idiot. Haven’t you learned by now that what I want is what I get? And I want Madelina. This is the proper way to do it and I’m going to use your body to get what I want.” Apollo gripped Nathan’s phone in his hand, trying to decide the best way to go about texting Madelina. He wanted to see her, he’d wanted to simply show up like he’d done before, but this would take finessing. Lottie was, after all, not just Nathan’s child, but technically Apollo’s as well since he’d taken residence inside the man shortly after they’d been engaged. There was a teeny tiny part of him that felt a pull towards the little girl, but mostly he just cared about Madelina. He could see it now, they would be the perfect family.

TEXT: TO MADDIE: Hey...I know we haven’t talked in awhile, but I would really like to see Lottie. I’ve thought about it a lot, and she needs me to be part of her life. She needs her dad. Let’s talk this out, okay? Please.

There. That sounded perfectly pathetic enough to be Nathan, didn’t it? This was going to be way too easy. Madelina would never deny her child the chance to know her own father, after all. Apollo knew her too well to expect otherwise. She would gladly welcome him back into Lottie’s life, then back into hers, and he’d push Amy out...or maybe she’d have another accident while surfing, this time one that she couldn’t come back from? It would be easy, wouldn’t it? Though Nathan himself had no abiltiies, Apollo had gained quite a few over his long years of jumping in and out of bodies. 

Now the ball was in Maddie’s court. This was going to be epic. His best plan yet. In the back of his mind, he could hear Nathan whimpering, pleading for him not to do this.
