She really wants. Cat Barton has no idea what's coming to her, stuck on the prettiest lady she's ever seen who makes her feel - well, not needed, because she'd surely fuck that up. But wanted. Yeah. It makes her, against her life's advice otherwise, really want Jamie Barnes back.

But he’d had practice at this, at living through moments like these. He placed the box gently on the counter and inhaled deep enough to hurt. “Okay,” he said on the exhale. “And how do we do that?” - Or, Bucky's soul does find Clint's in the Astral Dimension, but the 'bringing him back' part of the mission takes time.

7. Every Breath You Take (Scars Edition) by Reremouse (Mature, 18k words)

Summary: Scars tell a story about where we’ve been and what we’ve experienced. Soulmates only meet after that life experience has been lived. That doesn’t necessarily mean they’re ready for it. Shortly after the takedown of Project Insight, Steve turns up at the tower with a quieter Bucky looking for a place to recover himself. It’s a solid plan, at least, until Clint walks right into Bucky, triggers their soul bond, and pretty much tosses Steve’s entire Bucky recovery plan out the window. Bucky is probably not ready to further complicate his life with a soulmate, so Clint does the only decent thing and retreats to his apartment in Bed Stuy. Maybe he should have consulted with Bucky first. A story about soulmates, friends in a tower, enemies in tracksuits, Steve looking out for Bucky, Tony looking out for everyone, the Winter Soldier on his own mission, and Clint.

Before either of them could change their minds, Clint moved into Bucky’s space, crowding him, chests almost touching.  He nudged him chest to hip until Bucky’s back was against the closed door and Clint was pressed flush against him.  He could feel Bucky’s interest pressing hard against his own.  He rocked his hips and a barely audible groan tumbled from Bucky’s full lips. -  Bro-mance by @spagbol99

Au where Clint is deaged or cloaned and Bucky has to deal with a deaged Clint (who has just his memories up until that age) and while Clint was never too open about the horrors of his childhood unless he was particularly vulnerable (via poisoned thanks Natasha), Bucky gets to learn why Clint ticks the way he does and most of their past arguments sooner make sense for him.

No one talks about how for 76 hours, Bucky was forced to make 22 grilled cheeses. All that Clint ate. Without the crust. Of course.

WHBB'24 Wrap Up

Dear Winterhawkers! The WH Big Bang event is coming to an end - but we can't be too sad about it since we're left with amazing works by wonderful artists and writers to enjoy until the next big bang season 💖

It was a pleasure to run this event, but we couldn't have done it without our magnificent participants! It's thanks to them that we were blessed with:
