I'm once again asking for a movie about either Cleopatra Selene, Cleopatra Syra, or Berenice II.

A still of Leonor Varela as Cleopatra.
Through her mother, Leonor is of Syrian descent. The real Cleopatra was also part Syrian, through her ancestress, Cleopatra I Syra , who was referred to in Alexandria as “The Syrian”.

psa: crystal reed.
as we’ve previously hinted, we’re releasing two very important canons that we’d like to see filled to help further the plot. careful readers will spot clues about the subplots regarding the site. as always, ask any question you have! we’re definitely equipped to help! if you’re interested in her, drop us your discord in our ask box and a member of the admin team will contact you asap!Â
• face claim // crystal reed (suggested, not set.) if you’d like this particular character but with another face, do let us know who you’re considering! • job // queen of the midwest. • species // (pureblood) vampire.Â
the plotÂ
out of cleopatra's four children, only one rose like a beacon of fierce light, just like her beloved mother's own image. she was born with the name of cleopatra syra named after her mother and great - great great grandmother, both of whom held the highest titles in egypt. she is of greek and roman decent, as her father is mark antony, the last (and arguably greatest) love of cleopatra's life. she is the first child the famed pharaoh had with mark, the twins alexander helios and cleopatra selene were born 4 years later. now her birth name might be cleopatra but "crystal"Â could have christened herself as another name at any point. like the rest of her family, she's a little 2000 years old so she had plenty of time to reinvent herself several times over. but for the duration of this ad (and in other published works around here), her name will be crystal until she is taken and officially named.Â
out of cleopatra's children, it is crystal who was closest to her mother. crystal had lifetimes to learn all about her mother and to soak in ample bonding time. its no coincidence that out of her siblings, its crystal who had adapted to being a vampire the fastest as well as who'd overall adapted to be a better vampire. while her siblings struggled with their messy emotions and extreme droughts of boredom, crystal was thriving and succeeding, honing her skills to become the most respected and powerful vampire of her area. this makes her an easy choice for being a harbinger of famine, as the close proximity of the west and midwest, crystal doesn’t want any of the messy issues going on in the west to affect where she reigns.
she was no fan of her mother's decision to conceal the 'cure', the unleashing of the disease or her learning her mother's attempt to kill her brothers at various points of their undead existence. crystal learned a harsh truth about the deceptive practices of her mother, effectively killing the hero crystal had built her mother up to be. it was a harsh lesson to learn but it shaped the queen crystal became today. she's no fan of her baby brother's decision to kill their mother and still holds a grudge with him to this day, but in the end, she'll never betray her blood family or the one she made for herself over the years. it's her one and only rule she lives by.Â
she's also known as the ruthless vampire queen of the midwest, as the midwest is generally known as being the best ran within the united states. she has her systems and diligent disciples who carry them out. her region boasts fewer vampires overall but a safer region for humans and vampires alike. she rules with iron claws, killing any and every supernatural that dare oppose her. she's the one pureblood who is best at being a vampire and it shows with how she's choosing to rule her region. god, save this queen.

Limestone head of either Cleopatra I or, more likely, Cleopatra II as Thea Philometor Soteira, recovered from Alexandria. The queen wears an Egyptian-style crown, but has a classical face and hairstyle. Alexandria Museum.
