I’ve used cleansing oils before but not like the Thank You Farmer Pollu Free pore deep cleansing oil. It contains Perilla herb which is nutritious as it has fat, protein, vitamins and minerals which are similar to spinach but is richer in carotenoids. It also has Rosmarinic Acid for antimicrobial & anti-inflammatory, Linoleic Acid for skin purifying, Beta-Carotene, Anthocyanin, Luteolin for minimizing the impact of city living on sensitive and irritated skin. As like any other cleansing oil is great for removing makeup and impurities, excessive sebum and blackheads since it provides a deep clean. Of all the cleansing oils I’ve used, this is by far my favorite. It smells great since the perilla leaf is in the same family as mint, it has a light mint scent. The texture is almost like you are using a facial oil to finish your routine. It mixes very easily and fast, after a few minutes I add water to my hands so I can emulsify it, it turns milky rapidly, I cleanse again. I have noticed i don’t always have to double cleanse to remove my makeup and that my skin feels soft and hydrated with each use. I decided to test it with different types of makeup as you can see in my hand top to bottom: Foundation, Clio Waterproof Brush eyeLiner, Peripera Ink lip stain, Urban decay lipstick, Colourpop satin lipstick, Colour pop Mar eyeshadow palette in Detour and Gridlock. As you can see in the video after only 1 wash every single thing was gone except for the Peripera Ink and Clio Waterproof eyeliner, which are usually the toughest one to get rid of. That is why reviewing this product really excite me. As this type of cleanser is something new to me as I usually use 2 different product for my double cleansing routine. Applying adequate amount of the cleanser on face with makeup makes it easy to rub and spread evenly on face. As a little amount makes it a little difficult to rub and need a little pressure to spread it on the face contrary to if you only have sunscreen on the face, I find it a little easy to apply. It emulsify nicely, but it sting on the eyes, that is why there is eyeliner residue left in my lower lashline(swipe to see on last photo) as I can't massage it well on my eyes. But it removes well other makeup but for super matte lipstick or waterproof eyeliner, a little pressure is also needed to fully remove it. It takes a little time to lather too, and you have to work on keep massaging and adding water little by little to foam it up. Well, it creates a nice foam when you lather alone the cleanser on palm. But after it melts the make up and emulsify it lather very very light, while it also foam nicely on face w/just sunscreen. I like that this cleanser didn't leaves film and strip off my skin moisture every after wash. I didn't feel any tightness too but instead my skin feels clean, soft and smooth after washing it off w/ lukewarm water. Ad: @simpleskin my everything for cleansing, this hydrating oil has been a life saver for my skin. When I was first diagnosed with rosacea I found many of my beloved cleansing balms contained essential oils, so, I stopped using them. I often talk about what foundation I’m wearing, or, some new cosmetic product that I’m trying out, but what about what I use when I’m not wearing makeup? What’s underneath it all? Do I use thousands of products or just water? Hmm….keep reading.

  Before I apply my foundation I always cleanse my face first. I start by using the Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Cleaner. 

I really like this cleanser. It smells so fresh and clean. It reminds me of fresh cut lemons. I have really bad acne so this helps to calm it down and it makes my face look so fresh and clean. On the back, it says “For oily skin, use 2-3 times per week and rinse off with warm water”. This cleanser is really strong, so I wouldn’t recommend anyone using it too much. You can shop it Here

Next I Exfoliate…..

For this I use St Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub

I really love this scrub. Every time I know I’m going to be putting on makeup I use this.

Whenever I use this, my face looks so bright!It’s like I just visited the Dermatologist’s office! And I LOVE  it when my face looks bright. I feel like this just makes my makeup look 10 times better because it makes my face look like its glowing. I use this maybe 3-4 times per week. It’s not harsh on my skin and it smells really nice.You can shop it Here

So there you have it folks, this is how I cleanse my face before makeup. In 2 easy steps. There’s no fuss, there’s no hassle. It’s easy! I’ve been doing this for 2 years now so it’s tried and true.

My love duo for tonight. In Paris the weather is finally chilly aka welcome to dehydratation. My skin around my cheeks are so dry. This is why I use this combo.
