I can’t get the drummer/dancer AU out of my head for the life of me so I humbly ask, share inspo/references please?? Like what styles of music and dance inspired you/exist in that world, costume inspo, Pinterest boards, anything xD

GAH. I had this whole thing written out and then Firefox did this weird crash thing and ate it. I imagine the dancing to be a mix of what would be Contemporary to any dance professional today and modern and traditional belly dance.

This piece by Ariellah Aflalo nails the smoothness of movements I am seeing for Dream in comparison to the other dancers in his caravan.

I also LOVE Eshan Hilal's arm movements and his general VIBES. This piece of his is a fusion of belly dance and northern Indian traditional dances.

As for MUSIC...

I *adore* traditional Celtic music (and modern interpretations thereof), so drums (with or without the pipes) is the jam I am thinking of when I write this.

This is a great piece by Clanadonia that shows all the drummers (skip to about 1:00 in for the drumming).

But if you want to see/hear where the entire idea came from, it was at a party at an event much like this one...
