"Okay, no. Nope. Turn around. If Mrs. Hayabusa sees you like this, god forbid the BOYS see you like this, you can kiss getting your job back goodbye!" Saria grumbles with her hand up like a crossing guard. "You look like hell."

“Yeah...yeah of course. Saria? Keep stirring that till the timer goes off then turn the heat off, don’t try and drain it yourself, okay?” “Yeah.”

Riku brings Eijiro into the room she had just fired Akira in.

“Okay. Now, what did you wanna talk about?”

She’s sure it’s gonna be about his brother...

"Hm? ye-yeah, yes?" She is trying very hard to keep it together for the sake of the kids. She still has to finish making this spaghetti - they can talk about it over dinner... Sips and Beat's little gift to Akira has gotten her all choked up about letting him go.

"mornin' boss," Akira didn't seem well when he came in, although not for the reasons he should have been. Logic honestly dictated he shouldn't have shown up at all... [poorly-drawn-akira]

After her hospital stay and exorcism, the children were determined to help Mrs. Hayabusa out around the orphanage until she was in tip top shape. Saria made grilled cheese, and Beat even helped!...a little...he's trying when it comes to the stove, anyway. She seems less tired, but now is a little hesitant walking around since she cannot see where everybody is putting stands.

"Oh, Akira, you're...back. I'm-I'm so sorry that that happend, it-it-it just got away from me and-"

Akira wandered into work, on time and slightly less disheveled than he started out at having made a small recovery from coffee. ((poorly-drawn-akira))

"Yay! Mr. Otoishi isn't a sleepypants today!" Beat yells as he runs over.

"Oh hey, maybe you can get Sips to stop moping in the closet again." Saria adds. "Even Haru tried and we got squat."

"I Did No Such Thing." Haru coughs after nearly spewing milk from their nose at the ACCUSATION of being NICE. "I Only Was Looking For The Tupperware With Wich To Pack My Lunch."

Saria only rolls her eyes.

All the other kids (minus Botan and Minx) were helping with dinner, but when Akira came in, Mrs. Hayabusa looks ready to both drop the spoon and hurl it at his head. She may not have Butcher Pete anymore, but she looks like she could bite his head off.

"Ah, Akira," she says with that same Frustrated Mom Face she gave when he came to work drunk. "I see your little brother had a nice recovery. Would you mind if we talked? In private? Kids, get him a plate too, okay?"

The children would have hugged Akira, but are currently in the haunting chorus of Ooooohs only possible when children see someone in trouble. Sips doesn't ooh though.

Sips is the one to answer. The already quiet boy looks somber - been that way since he realized Akira has been gone for a while.

"Mrs. Hayabusa is making dinner." He says. "Can I help you?"

Fimi wants to go trick or treating, she really does...but she doesn't like the scary part... Maybe she can just buy candy and hand it out...and keep the leftovers :)

Beat, Sips, Botan, and Saria are in a little Orphan Squad. Saria managed to convince Botan to wear a Micheal Meyers mask instead of the big clay glob.

"You said that the apron lady had a wound? But she seems fine to me other than the forhead thing..."

"Nonono! Mrs. Hayabusa's body is mostly fine - it's her heart." Beat says from his cushion in the common area as he scribbles with a pen on some scrap paper. "Part of her soul broke and now she has a monster in her. Not like Hiphoppopotamus or Bowling for Soup but something scary and angry."

"...like fucking what and what???"

"...Beat, dude, I think she's standless."

"Aw what really!?"

"What the hell are you two even saying at me right now???"

"Here."

Beat cralws over to where Haru is sitting and writes on her wrist - SIGHTED.

"Hey! What's your-" Haru stops when they see a fuzzy vision of a stumpy purple thing next to Beat...Beat just smiles up at her.

When the crying dies down, Saria knocks on the closet door.

“You two all good now? Get all the bad feelings out?” She listens and hears a small hum like a yes before she hears the doorknob turn.

“yeah...” Beat says as he rubs his nose with his sleeve and Sips nods. “Well good - I got apple juice.” “but we weren’t supposed to go in the kitchen!” Sips pipes up. “You guys being thirsty and sad was important enough for her to let me out there now come on and get some.”

"SHOULD I BE WORRIED ABOUT ALL THE SOBBING IN THE CLOSET?"

"Hm? Oh, Sips and Beat must be doing Cry Time - we'll just need to get them apple juice after they calm down some."

"WAIT THIS IS A NORMAL THING???"

"Yeah. It's usuay when one of them gets a nightmare but this is pretty justified Cry Time. They usually pick the closet or the laundry room so they don't get the other kids upset but they can't get down to laundry cause Mrs. Hayabusa is still cleaning up stuff."

“Oh hey! Now we have two Zeon Names here!” Beat comments, holding up his little toy Zaku cheerfully. “Okay...?” Replies Haru, still not knowing a dang thing about this robot show this kid keeps ranting about. “Yeah! There’s you and M....M’q...I dunno how to say it all together but I can spell it! M-apostrophe-Q-U-V-E!” “M’Quve?” “Yeah! We all just call her Changeling though!” “...why haven’t I seen her?” By now, Saria chimes in, swapping out Aries-Pig for the current Rabbit-Saggitarius - she’s much taller under those signs and Haru really wasn’t expecting it...must be them ‘sans’ things or whatever that Beat tried to tell him about. “She doesn’t like boys near her age and I guess she doesn’t know you’re a girl.” Saria says as she sits down on her favorite bean bag. Beat looks up at Saria from his spot on the floor. “Where is she anyways?” “She’s probably in the attic. She’ll come down when she wants to.”

Haru looks up at the ceiling...She hasn’t bothered to really actively meet other kids here but now it just seems weird to be avoided...and a changeling? Thought the fae gave up on handing off their kids? hm.

"Saria...I hate to ask you to watch the others but I think...I'm going to have to visit Her today..."

Saria puts her hand on Mrs. Hayabusa's.

"Don't feel bad - I watch them when you go get groceries too and this isn't any different."

"But this is-"

"No. Stop that. Right now. Take that attitude to the bin cause I'm not taling it. You're ill and this helps. End of story. Shush."

Mrs. Hayabusa laughs. Others would have found Saria rude or disrespectful, but that's just how she is with folks she's comfortable with - snappy.

"Alright...Just make sure the new girl doesn't cause any trouble - she seems the type."
