Royal Tiaras Highlights: The Strathmore Rose Tiara

The tiara was a gift to Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon from her father, the Earl of Strathmore, for her 1923 wedding to the Duke of York, the future King George VI. The tiara features a garland of wild roses in diamonds mounted in silver and gold and was purchased for the future Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother at a London jeweler; it dates from the late nineteenth century.

The flowers in the tiara can be removed and worn as brooches and also be swapped-out for sapphires. The Queen Mother frequently wore the piece low on her head - as it was common in the 20s - but the piece does feature two separate frames, one that allows for a traditional wear.

Last time the tiara was seen was in 2012, when it was photographed for Hugh Roberts’ book ‘The Queen’s Diamonds’. The piece was inherited by Queen Elizabeth II so it’s still apart of the Royal Family’s collection.

thinking about the wasted potential of the damballa reveal :') i know why they didnt do what we all would have thought out of fear of being cultural appropriating and disrespecting the culture, but like... we could have had Damballa appear as like a white snake or something cool like that. Having it just be Chucky with no hint at all that it was Damballa was kind of a cheap cop out

Actually, I have an unfinished Andy x Reader series that I was planning to keep up with waiting to see where the series was taking his character before continuing the writing.

I awaited through all season 3 and he only showed up on the dream sequence, so given the cancelation happening I will have to come up with my own ideas for everything lol.

Totally agree, Andy is so underrated! He is the badass and sad pathetic man archetypes mixed together in a handsome final man, people are totally sleeping on him.

He is a hero, he is a loser. He is just some guy, but in the most unglamourous extraordinary way. He is traumatized and misinderstood, but keeps fighting to save the lives of people who think he is crazy.

Where were the people who enjoy the concept of hunters in Supernatural when this guy showed up?

If you ask me, a few years back I never imagined I would be writing Chucky fics despite being fan of the franchise for a long time. What triggered it for me was Andy's reaparition in the show.

Being totally honest, I have loved him my whole life. I grew up to the films and as a little kid Chucky used to make me super scared, but Andy's on screen presence in the first ones was comforting for me.

When Cult came out i got this silent crush on him that remained dormant and bloomed with the series and at the moment I checked there were no fics out there. I do remember to have found a few headcanon lists, but not much as well.

it was so frustrating! I remember thinking " how is nobody writing for him?? ", so I got all " be the change you want to see" and produced the insane amount of works you see on my masterlist during the course of the series airing. Not having much Andy news to work with the past year got me a bit blocked, but I hope to get back soon to posting more stuff about him.

That being said, I also have a few ( long delayed ) Chucky requests to complete. Two for Andy, one for Chucky.

More Andy content is on the way, just can't tell for sure when.
