Ok, new crazy theory based on the fact that in the explanation of tomorrow night’s episode Buck is “trying to find his place” and the fact that Oliver and Ryan are going on ET together next week…I think Eddie goes back to El Paso to be with Chris and Buck goes with him because they are now together. The actors are going to announce next week that they are staring in a new spin off titled 9-1-1 Queer in El Paso…who’s with me?? I mean, it’s really not as crazy as saying…killing off one of your main characters mid season with pretty much no reason, right?? 🤣😂🤪😤

season 8b of 9-1-1 has been a dumpster fire. These last couple of episodes have been shit and they did Bobby’s funeral a disservice considering he is the main character and the heart of the show. The way that T*m M*near managed to ruin this show in 3 episodes is crazy.

So... Angela posted.
Idk why that does it but now I'm convinced.
I haven't watched 911 as long as most of you. I heard about it this summer and season 8 is the first season I've seen live. But I love that show, love it so much. It brought me a confort I didn't think a TV procedural show could ever bring me, but here I am. If i' m honest, I'm kinda obsessed with it..
And a big part of that was Bobby Nash. The first thing I saw from 911 was an edit of Buck and Christopher, and I got intrigued, searched more and found edits of Buck and Bobby and that's what made me stay. The found family, the reluctant father figure to the too energetic kid, them becoming a real family with the seasons.
That, Bobby and Buck, is what got me into this show. Then I started and I fell in love with all the other characters, but also more truly with Bobby as I learned more about him too.
The character of Bobby who started as a grieving man ready to go, consumed by his guilt. To the captain, mentor and father figure of this little weir co dependant family. He became a father and a husband again, he found joy in life again when he thought he never could. He lived, he fought, he never gave up, because he knew he was loved and he loved people and he didn't want to leave them.
And now, Bobby Nash has died. It is hurtful, it feels like a betrayal from a show that we've come to love knowing our favorite characters would always come home somehow. Bobby is not coming home. The show will never be the same. And it hurts. A character that was well loved is gone. And it hurts. I wish I had better words but I don't, it hurts.
I loved season 8, maybe I was biased by it being the first I saw live but it was become one of my favorite seasons, if not my favorite. This is not the case anymore obviously. I will remember how great it was but it is tainted now by the sadness of the end.
I'm not only grieving a character but a show.
I want to continue watching. For Angela, Aisha, Oliver, Kenneth, Ryan, Jennifer, Anirudh, Gavin, Tracie and all the others, for Peter even if he's not there as an actor anymore, for the crew who tries so hard to make this experience beautiful and great for us. Absolutely not for the guy responsible for all of this.
I say 'I want to continue' and not 'I will continue' because it will really be a complicated thing for them to balance the grief of the public AND the characters with the warm welcoming feeling this show usually has. If it's too sad, I'll stop. If it brushes over his death too quickly, I'll probably stop too. It's complicated. I will finish season 8 but season 9 is where the doubt comes.
Anyway. Thank you Peter Krause, for bringing to life this amazing character that was Bobby. Thank you Angela Basset and Kenneth Choi particularly for acknowledging how much this decision hurts the fandom. Thank you for Oliver, who help bring to life my favorite duo on this show and who's performance, with the one of Angela and Peter, absolutely destroyed my heart last week.
Thank you 911. Thank you Peter. Thank you Bobby Nash.
Everyone here just lost a father.

so that was the best episode...possibly ever. Certainly of the last few seasons. It was SO well-written, and beautifully acted by like. Everyone. ESPECIALLY Peter and Angela (I know, I know, what else is new, but you can't tell me they didn't bring their S-tier game on this one).
Not every episode of 911 is an across-the-board hit. Sometimes there are arcs I'm less enthused about, characters I don't care for, calls that get a little silly for even for my taste, or acting choices that are a bit too big. But when this show shines, it fucking shines. I was RIVETED for every second of this one. The massive emotional payoffs - for Bobby and Athena, Bobby and the 118 in general, Hen and Karen, Eddie and Kim, Amir - they all sang. A few standout moments:
Athena's voice when she said "Too late" Broke MeTM.
Ditto Christopher saying "Mom?"
Bobby openly accepting Tommy and passing the cooking torch to Buck. I know he's good for you because we haven't had to talk about it. That is his DAD.
I know we all joke about fun it was to see Eddie let loose earlier this season and how Fox only cared about him when he was traumatized, but MAN that boy can suffer so beautifully. I am SO here for how deliciously fucked up he and Kim are.
Speaking of, they let Kim be a real person?? And she's great? I mean, she's a little fucked up too, but she's INTERESTING about it.
Let Mara Live 2k24
Am I right in thinking that Bobby giving Athena CPR at the end is the ONLY direct mouth-to-mouth we've seen in the entire show that didn't use the airbag? Because I have feelings about that.
I think it says something that one of the few episodes (if not the only one?) with functionally zero 118 calls is in my opinion the best they've ever done. Not that the calls aren't fun, but it proves - as if we needed proof - that the characters are the heart of the show.
I am counting the sleeps until next week because godDAMN.

Warning…do not read if you haven’t seen the latest episode of 911…if you have…here is my rant!!
Wtf???? That was the MOST depressing episode I have ever seen! I love this show because it goes from exciting to sad to funny. NOTHING about that was exciting or funny or heartwarming. A definitely dead Bobby AND a dead baby! WTH! Also blink and you miss it Eddie? This is Oliver’s favorite episode of all time? Is he high?? I swear I love this show but if Buddie doesn’t happen in the next two episodes I may not watch next season! I have enough depression in my life that I don’t need to see it on tv!!
