I hadn't been feeling the Christmas spirit this year, until the "meat partner" stepped up and decorated the house yesterday. Today I spent the day with my blorbos. It started with the last pic in the set, which prompted this little story. It's been a year (derogatory), and Rosalind and Phantom Liberty really resparked my love for this game.
A game that's all about decorating gingerbread houses. The game is a baking battle royale, and it's sort of a mix between Fall Guys and Nailed It!. Every round players will need to copy to the best of their ability a certain house. Each player has their own prep area, but all the ingredients are in a common area, and while you're there, you can steal stuff from people. You'll only be to take back to your prep area what you can carry, so you'll quickly need to decide what ingredients might run out first and try to grab those as soon as possible. After acquiring all the ingredients (or the closest matches you could find) you'll need to complete a series on button pushing sequences that will determine how well you manage to build and decorate your gingerbread house. The fastest players to build a house that fulfills the current round's base requirements to be considered a house will proceed to the next round. These base requirements will be things such as building a pool or a balcony, and will get trickier with each round, until only one player remains, who will receive the Gingerbread Crown.
Nightmare in the Toyfactory (Windows, Black Sheep Design, 1997)
The bizarre experimental Christmas-themed 3D platformer, where collecting toys doesn't just earn you checkpoints - they're actual toys and minigames you can play with, created to experiment with the game's engine. You can download it here, or download it pre-configured to work with modern versions of Windows here.
