Happy Birthday Izzy and Nic

Izzy was born on the twins’ due date, May 15th at 11:55 pm; Nic came six minutes later at 12:01 am making her officially one day late, even if it was only by a few minutes.  Izzy tries to plan their birthday party, a picnic in the park, with Nic but her sister feels like there aren’t enough activities.  Izzy is so focused on picking out the napkins and the invites that she doesn’t hear her sister’s concerns.  Nic announces she doesn’t want a shared party and threatens to ruin the day by taking half of their friends away.  Izzy is stunned by the threat and after thinking it through, suggests they take a walk in the park so she can really listen to her sister’s concerns away from the party planning distractions.  While they are there, Nic sees a bunch of people with easels set up painting the lake.  The girls decide to make it an Art in the Park Picnic.  Their parents are impressed that they worked through the problem and came up with a solution without them needing to intervene. Nic paints invitations for all their friends and Izzy fills them out using her new calligraphy skills.  Izzy helps Nic plan for the party, including ordering their birthday cake from Baskin Robbins. Nic helps Izzy come up with some creative solutions to practical problems and the party is a great success.

One of the best parts of the party is their ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins. They asked for half to be Izzy's favorite flavor, Peanut Butter n' Chocolate, and for the other half to be Nic's favorite flavor, Jamoca Almond Fudge.
