- he's not one to care about your clothes, and honestly, if you're decked out in stuff, it just means more clothes for him to rip off of you, which irritates him a bit

- he would never say anything against it though, if you're happy, he's happy

- loves dark colors, especially blacks, so he quite likes your gothic outfits

- your makeup on the other hand pisses him off

- be for real here, he loves how it looks, you're his badass bitch, but it stains, and he hates that

- also would not let you put it on him, he hates the feeling of stuff on his face, at most eyeliner but any more and he will tweak out

- if you kiss him and leave black lipstick marks on his face he will try to rub them off, but it always ends up leaving a blot of smudged black

- even worse when you rest your head on his chest/ shoulder, because that shit does NOT come off his clothes easy

- note that he likes to touch your face a lot, so some of those stains on himself are his own fault

- other than that though, he finds it's really hot and thinks you're cool as fuck, though he'll never admit it

Gaolang:

- probably found it kind of scary at first, like seeing you in the dark, decked out in gothic attire made his heart stop at least once

- he does get used to it, very slowly though

- buys makeup/accessories/clothing for you!!! (He's loaded, just let him do this)

- supports you with a burning passion, despite not really getting it at all

- he finds the contrast between you outside (decked out in goth clothing) and you at home very jarring, and kind of cute

- definitely watches you put on your makeup, and even let's you put it on him, if you request it

- no photos though (that's a lie, he's a huge softie for you, do whatever you want)

- he's a very patient man, so take all the time in the world to get ready, heck, he'll even help you choose between outfits, he just likes being included in whatever brings you joy

Getting into the goth subculture

ok just to clarify, nobody asked for this but i’m making it anyway

here are some great influences for the goth music subcultures

i’ve been hyperfixated on pretty much every one except metal and grunge at one point or another so i think i’m pretty qualified to make this statement.

also some of these artists are problematic so please do your research before you promote them! also i don’t support any of their actions, they just have good music that’s very influential to the scene.

anyways…let’s get started

- siouxsie and the banshees are a really great band to start out and they’re one of the most popular goth bands. they have about 12 albums and 2 compilations. they had many members at different times but notable members are siouxsie sioux (lead vocals), jon klein (guitar), steven severin (bass + keyboards), budgie (drums), and martin mccarrick (keyboard + strings)

- another great goth band is bauhaus, they are one of the pioneers of gothic rock and are often credited with making the first goth song. they have five studio albums. members include daniel ash (guitars + saxophone + lead vocals + backing vocals), peter murphy (lead vocals + backing vocals + guitar + keyboards + melodica + congas), kevin haskins (drums + keyboards + piano + backing vocals), and david j (bass + keyboards + percussion + lead vocals + backing vocals).

- another great band to start off with is the cramps (i recommend their album psychedelic jungle). many people think of the cramps as more psychobilly or punk-ish but they are also considered gothabilly and have gothic elements. they have at least 8 (i’m not sure) studio albums, 2 EPs, 2 live albums, and 4 compilations. members include, Lux interior (lead vocals + harmonica + percussion), Poison Ivy (lead guitar + rhythm guitar + bass), Slim Chance (bass), and Nick Knox (drums + percussion)

in order for a band to be goth they must play either gothic rock, post-punk, ethereal wave, cold wave, dark wave, death rock, visual kei, gothic pop, gothic metal, gothic symphonic metal or another gothic subgenre.

Valentino becoming attached to a reader that is nothing like his whores and stuff. I explored this a bit in my shy reader drabbles, but like. He ends up running into a demon and finds them so precious, but they're also nothing like what he usually sees in his business. And especially with Angel being a little bitch to him, he becomes absolutely fascinated by you. He wants to know more about you and if he can't get it directly from you then OF COURSE he's going to have his precious Voxie get information on you. And every time he learns about something you like, Val just becomes more intrigued. Bonus points if you're secretly super horny too and just don't show it. He loves the idea of a "secret slut."

But he just becomes more and more intrigued by you and obsessed with you. Val tries to find ways to guarantee he will just accidentally "run into you." It's totally random, what a coincidence! And he'll strike up a conversation. Not much for talking? Oh well. He's going to try to get you talking. If not, he wants you to at least be listening. Always making sure you're paying attention and not ignoring him. If he thinks you're ignoring him especially if you're like autistic or adhd or something and so it SEEMS like you're not paying attention when really you are, he will become somewhat domineering. Leaning close regardless of your size and using that sickly sweet threatening voice, asking you if you're paying attention. Because he would HATE to be ignored. You better make it clear you are too because he even well may not be it. He's used to people lying to him just to save their own skin and he hates people doing that.

After a while of talking or multiple instances of talking, he'll probably ask if there's a way to get in contact with you. Acting as if it's a choice and you have an option when honestly, he already has your socials and your number and even your address if he was that obsessed.

He'll want to invite you to his work at some point. Or maybe to some event celebrating the release of one of his films. Or an award ceremony for one of his films. If you don't have anything to wear then he'll buy you it. Valentino would LOVE to send you clothes. He could easily figure out your size, but he'll let you tell him it instead. Or he may just ask to *personally* measure you himself~ And Val will make sure it fits PERFECTLY. And if it's messed up at all then someone is getting fired. (Or torn apart and shot.) He wants his new little obsession to look good anyway.

Valentino may be a major sugar baby with Vox, but with someone he's obsessed with, he loves to be a sugar daddy. He will spoil you, dress you up, treat you like his personal doll. He wants someone that looks good. It's okay if you don't know how to do that, he can handle it. Even if he's dressing you up, he'll still let you choose your style. If you want to be more goth or emo or any alternative subculture, he will just get you the finest clothes in that. If you want to wear clothes you're more connected to due to cultural reasons, he will ensure that he gets you exactly that. You can look good in ANYTHING you wear so it doesn't matter what your specific style is, as long as it's luxurious and makes you look like a darling little prize.

And as terrifying as Valentino is, he WILL protect you. No one is going to lay their hands on you. If someone even says something rude or gives you a funny look or so much as steps out of line, then he's going to lose it. You will stay in arm's reach of him almost all of the time when he brings you anywhere. You're his new baby. It doesn't matter if you CAN take care of yourself, you better let HIM do it anyway. Because you're his. And he takes care of things that belong to him.

One last bonus thing is Valentino painting you. Oh if he can paint then he will ABSOLUTELY take a chance to paint you. He doesn't paint often because of his horrible moth vision, but we can pretend he can still paint well. He will make you a masterpiece and hang it up in his private room so even when you may be away, he will have a way to look at you. And you better believe this man knows and loves art. Valentino is a fine artist that enjoys quality. That's why his films can do so well after all even if they are just porn. Even if he doesn't care about some, but when it's something or someone he absolutely cares for then he is going to ensure the finest quality in everything.

And right now, that's you. You're that special thing to him. It doesn't matter if you're bigger or smaller or the same size. It doesn't matter if you're fat or thin or average. It doesn't matter. I’ll start with my least coherent and go towards my most

Honorable mention: music is tough. The first real instance of goth music came in the 50’s and in the one story that took place in the 50’s we hear no mention of music. However, Jeeves is not a fan of popular music or showtunes and shows preference for classical music. Not goth, per se, but Bach and Beethoven do kinda have some goth-y vibes.

First, he’s very into serious literature and poetry. Which isn’t saying much but gothic poetry and literature was very prominent in forming the subculture and it sort of seems like the stuff that Jeeves would be into. He likes philosophy and lots of gothic literature has overarching philosophical thought on the nature of good and evil, man vs creator, the nature of death and mourning. And for poetry, the stuff he quotes in Joy in the Morning makes me feel like he’d enjoy Edgar Allan Poe, especially his more romantic stuff like Annabelle Lee and The Raven

Second: his fashion! My man does not like colors and while we mostly see him in his uniform, I feel we can make some assumptions based on his non-uniform clothes and the way he tries to dress Bertie. His black, calf length outdoor jacket is such a goth win! Bertie doesn’t own anything like that and we rarely see other domestic staff wear something like that so it’s easy to assume that Jeeves picked that out for himself. He will wear tan, we’ve seen him wear tan clothes coming back from his vacations but that could be because of class status and/or the standards of driving clothes. Because when we do see him on his nights off, he’s still wearing clothes that look like his valeting uniform (black waistcoat, black tie, black jacket, ect). Bertie also mostly wears tan when he’s driving bc it hides the dirt better.

What’s interesting is how he tries to get Bertie to wear dark and subdued colors. Lots of navy, lots of greys. It makes you wonder if that’s how he’d choose to dress if he had the option. Also related to clothing, Jeeves shows an interest in both jewelry and silver in Jeeves and the Feudal Spirit and Jeeves in the Offing, respectively. He was a jeweler apprentice briefly under his cousin. Accessories, especially feminine jewelry and silver, is very goth.

Smiling?? He laughed very much?? This story stuck with him into adulthood?? So much so that he thought it would be funny to tell Bertie this story moments before Bertie has a late night bike ride?? No matter how you interpret this scene, Jeeves is a morbid and spooky bitch for this. Rip Jeeves, you would have loved watching the Final Destination movies.

My point is that if he could, he would have loved being goth. He’s spooky and morbid, he loves dark, subdued colors, his loves poetry and literature with philosophical themes, he likes silver and jewelry and he likes slower, more subdued music without saccharine and cheery lyrics (let us not forget his disgust while Bertie was singing Sunny Disposish)

I’m definitely a person that seems really mean and grumpy at first glance but I just have really bad rbf, the second people talk to me I’m all smiles. I’m autistic and struggle to talk a lot at first but hide it well with pleasantries. It can take a lot to get to know me but once someone does deeply loyal and friendly. Charles, ever the gentleman, greeted you with his signature charm, but you were less impressed.

You had a tendency to seem grumpy at first, and while Charles was polite, he could tell you weren’t buying into his usual smooth-talking charisma.

The real moment that made him intrigued?

When you were both outside, and you casually made a vine sprout from the floor and stole his tea. “Fascinating,” He had murmured, amused.

Charles saw past your ‘resting bitch-face’ exterior pretty quickly.

Sure, you seemed reserved, but he could sense (literally, thanks to his telepathy) the kindness and loyalty underneath.

He loved listening to you talk about your interests - especially your deep dives into new topics.

He found it both endearing and incredibly impressive how you could accumulate knowledge so quickly.

While you were more into medieval history and the grim beauty of the past, he enjoyed teasing you about how your abilities made you something out of Arthurian legend.

“You do realize, my dear, that if you lived in Camelot, you’d have been revered as a druid or a forest deity?”

You had a way of grounding him.

Charles could be an idealist, a dreamer, sometimes too caught up in his ambitions for mutant-kind.

You, of course, loved horror films, and Charles?

So far, this character is an extremely tall (over 6'6"), very fat (obese, pear-shaped), dark-skinned Octoling tgirl with purple ink, and tentacles with cyan tips and red spots.

The people have spoken, and they've collectively said "Conky, please give us a dark-skinned Octoling girl too tall and wide to fit through most doors without great effort and/or outside assistance," and I said "lol, ok ya crazy bunch'a lesbians." Y'all have a very clear type. Y'all want a girl with skin like fresh espresso, thighs like wine barrels and a frame as tall and broad as an Urchin sumo stable outhouse. I respect it. I normally hate bullies but it rubs me the wrong way that a clearly Latina Girl IS the main bully and rival for Danny's love.

That she is just this mean bitch who is in the way of Butch's precious SamXDanny.

They did the girl dirty and Valerie, a black girl, even more.

So since I will never be a fan of Danny and Sam together, but I love him with other girls, here is my first attempt at fanfic for it.

And I choose Paulina.

I love her, I see she could be so much more and that's what she is going to be.

There was an old abandoned warehouse not far from Paulina's home. She liked to be on its rooftop and just tangled her legs over the border. Sometimes she thought, what would happen if she jumped. People would surely cry for her. Her parents for their beloved daughter. Her friends for their ruler. The whole school for the Queen B. And she hated it. No one knows the real Paulina, how she liked Japanese RPG games, read corny romance novels and loved to bake. Her beauty had made her popular since kindergarten and she had abused this power so much, that she couldn't be just her dorky girlie self. Sometimes she thought to destroy her pretty face. If she was ugly, all her so-called face would drop her faster than a hot potato and she could be whoever she wanted. There was a freedom in being ugly, she craved. Signing she snuggled deeper into her oversized black hoodie. If someone she knew saw her like this, they wouldn't believe that it was Paulina Sanchez, Queen B of Casper High. The hoodie had seen better days and she wore it with sloppy black jogging pants and some simple white sneakers. Also, she was without make-up! Star would surely have a heart attack. This made the Latina chuckle quietly. Yeah, just imagine the shocked faces of the other A-Lister could be worth it to drop her Queen B-Mask. She pulled the hood from over her head and let the wind dance through her black locks. The moon shone down on her and she closed her eyes, letting its light shine on her unmasked face. It felt a bit like the caress of a lover, someone who would love her soul and not her body. Tears formed on the corners of Paulina's eyes, slowly falling down her cheeks. She was a prisoner of society's norms. And she was too weak to fight it.

Paulina knew what was expected of her. The little Goth, Sam Manson if she remembers right, had called her shallow to defend her little (cute) boyfriend. No one could insult her like that. She had to take away the Goth's boyfriend. This was what she had to do. This was what the Queen B of Casper High did. The real Paulina just wanted to take a nap and cry.

It was a pity really. Danny was cute. Not only his looks, but his personality was pleasant. However, since he wasn't the Goth's boyfriend, she needed to dumb him. A popular girl and a loser together? No, impossible. She gave Sam the amulet back and said in her best almighty tone what she was about to do. Then Sam turned into a dragon. Of course, Paulina fainted! This was so scary. She didn't remember much only she woke up and then Dash was flirting with her. Paulina had to forget Danny and continue her rule as Queen B. It didn't mean that, after she made sure her parents were asleep, she put her hoodie and jogs on and climbed up her secret place. Sad the girl curled herself into a ball. Would it be always like this? Could she never break out? Was this her curse? Being beautiful, but unable to be her true self? It hurt. It hurt so much. She cried till the first sunrays came up. Then she sneaked back into the house. Maybe she could sleep a bit before she had to face school again. Maybe in her dreams, she could be free from her curse. Paulina closed her eyes and wished for a world where she wasn't popular and pretty. Where she just was Paulina. A normal girl, with a normal life. No A-Listers. No Expectations. Sweet, sweet freedom. And…a cute boy with black hair and sky blue eyes, who loved her for herself.
