Happy Asian and Pacific Islander Month to our queens!
Here in the US, May is Asian-American and Pacific Islander month. So just like last year, I'll be highlighting the Asian and Pacific Islander queens of Six. This year is especially fun as there's currently an Asian or Pacific Islander queen in every currently-running replica production of Six!

Reactions to Miracle Creator's Chapter 150
TL;DR - Jang Hyung vs CH. Jang Hyung's purification. Competition between Namgung Clan, Demon Cult, and Kunlun School. Cale heads to the Evil Alliance.
Soos? LSH = ❌ CJS = ✅
Jang Hyung versus Choi Han To be honest, I did not expect to see a fight scene in this chapter. Nor the poetic lines to describe the fight, courtesy of Jegal Mi Ryeo and Heavenly Demon. CJS got a mention here because CH was being compared to him.
There was also the fight between two dragons: CH's black yong (dragon) versus Jang Hyung's Eight Great Styles of the Cloud Dragon (signature technique of the Kunlun School).
I was excited about the fight scene because this was rare! Of course, CH won in the end.
Jang Hyung's Purification This was probably the longest purification so far - more than two hours. It was because the Black Death Energy had already reached the upper dantian (the brain part).
There was some hostile tension between Jang Hyung and HD, but after the purification ended, Jang Hyung's hostility towards HD lessened.
The Competition This part was quite funny:
Namgung Tae Wi gets purified -> I, the Sword Saint, and the Namgung Clan will take the lead in the battle against the Blood Cult!
Heavenly Demon gets purified -> The Demon Cult will take the lead in the battle against the Blood Cult!
Jang Hyung gets purified -> The Kunlun School will take the lead in the battle against the Blood Cult!
I guess Cale will not have to worry in his fight against the Blood Cult.
Cale and the Evil Alliance Cale's interaction with the Sima Clan was also funny. 🤣🤣🤣
Raon: Snacks please. Sima Pyeong: I have prepared some for you, teacher-nim. Cale: *sighs and covers face with both hands* Toonka, Ha Mun, and Sima Jung: *laughing and fighting since morning* Sima Dan: *drinking alcohol* Sima Gong: *inviting Ron to a game of dice* Cale: (I don't want to go to the Evil Alliance. I just want to go home...)
Ending Remarks Next week is finally the Evil Alliance arc. I wonder who and how many Living Jiangshi we'll encounter there. Anyway, I'll end this post with a translation of HD's perspective on CH's fight.
ROOOOOOOAAAAR! The black yong chased after it with a roar instead of a cry. Leisurely, and without hesitation too. "He's shouting." Heavenly Demon lightly smiled as if he was interested. 'He's shouting I am here.' Choi Han. The owner of that sword was not silent. He was constantly making his presence known. Like a lost child shouting that he was here in a place where only darkness lingered. However, Choi Han did not look like a lost child. 'It's the opposite.' Choi Han was shouting at the deep darkness. I am here, embracing a light that was a tiny speck compared to the darkness. So it seemed like he was shouting to the lost to come here. 'Interesting.' He was like a child in a way, but his heart was pure and unwavering. Therefore, that heart must have been contained in his sword.

a few notes about The Midnight Romance in Hagwon
it's all too similar to Something in the Rain
lots of spoilers ahead
the red umbrella that started everything
the age gap (they're both 6 years apart) and the ages (29-35 respectively)
the frenemy co-worker fall-out because of a crush on the lead male
the co-worker bonding due to the secret affair
the apartment the lead female lives in
the childish behavior of the younger male partner to reflect they'll be hastier as they're more youthful, therefore immature and the woman is basically dating a child
the hard-working female lead whose life is ruined bc she fell in love
even down to the cast, the lead male was in Something in the Rain! He's familiar with the environment all too well!
The male leads names Joon-hee and Joon-Ho The OG actress SON YE JIN and the female lead's name Seo Hye Jin
Like I understand the director is the same but this is all too comical at this point. The actors have been re-purposed, and the plot has somewhat been recycled.
I was very excited to see Wi Ha-Joon in a romance where he'll finally be getting some action. I know a lot of us were just waiting on a kissing scene of his since he's been reluctant to give us one. But for the love of all that is holy, they even recycled his final get-up in Little Women in the final episode of Hagwon.
While, of course, I can't boil the entire thing down to just these similarities, it just didn't leave a mark because it didn't feel super new?
Jung Ryeo-Won is gorgeous, I feel like someone could bury me in her dimples. Wi Ha-Joon didn't fit into this series somehow? Or has he already been typecast? Could it be that he just didn't let himself be vulnerable with anyone in real life that he doesn't know how to act it out in a romantic series? I will never know.
I appreciate his vigor in running to dick down Seo Hye Jin but his romantic feelings in Little Women were more believable and they were literally non-existent.
I mean the soundtrack was every bit of soft. Bops all the way.
I enjoyed the heated debates on how to teach students rather than treat them as racehorses in a derby. I feel like if I actually knew Korean I would have learned something from this series. However, the plot twists and the sneaky conversations behind closed doors did not create the effect the scenarists were going for, honestly.
The downfall of two women who were behind most of the chaos that carried on throughout the show was a catfight? I've never seen lazier ass writing in my life.
Instead, the only breath of fresh air was the second couple defying gender norms that were heavily cast through the drama and lifting the weight off of the man of the relationship (Choi Seung-gyu) by allowing him to study as long as he wants, granted by the woman of the relationship (Nam Cheong-mi) who declared she was okay to provide financial support.
and last but not least THAT'S HOW HE FUCKING PROPOSED????

Rambling About a Show (12/27/2023)
⚠️SPOILER?!⚠️
I started this last night. I don't know why, but I had thought there were 10 episodes. Truthfully, there are only 8. 😅
Anyhoo, this was a pretty intense watch. Also, it's pretty violent. Then again, it's name kind of hints towards violence.
I think Nam Joo Hyuck was fantastic in this role. His character was pretty great. Speaking of characters. Choi Mi-Ryeo, in my opinion, as crazy as she was, was a likable character. Even though he's murdered people, another likable character is Jo Gang-Ok. By likable, I mean he's pretty entertaining. The way he's such a fan to Kim Ji-Yong(Vigilante)was pretty hilarious. Jo Heon is an intense yet interesting character.
I will admit that I felt like it had a disastifying ending. All that effort, and it ended like that. 😫

Vigilante
When Kim Ji-Yong (Nam Joo-Hyuk) was a child, his mother was beaten to death by a thug for no reason on the street. The thug only received 3 and half years in prison. Kim Ji-Yong is now an adult and he sees that his mother's killer hasn't changed at all. Kim Ji-Yong takes matters into his own hands and beats him brutally.
Since then, Kim Ji-Yong begins living two totally different lives. During the weekdays, he is a model student at the police university, but, during the weekends, he punishes criminals who received ridiculously light sentences and continue to commit criminal acts. Kim Ji-Yong is now called Vigilante and he receives help from Jo Gang-Ok (Lee Joon-Hyuk), who admires him. Meanwhile, Jo Heon (Yoo Ji-Tae), who is the team leader of a police investigation team, chases after the man called Vigilante. Choi Mi-Ryeo (Kim So-Jin) is a reporter of a broadcasting station and she covers Vigilante.

Reactions to Miracle Creator's Chapter 151
TL;DR - Cale and LSH convo. Hunter info dump. CJG's status. Cale calls Alberu. Cale's group arrives at Evil Alliance.
Soos? LSH = talking to Cale CJS = awkwardly talking with CH
Character Status
CH & CJS = awkwardly talking with each other
HD = with Brain Demon and Demon Laws Brigade Captain
Fist King, Mok Hee = went with Embroidered Uniform Guard to get more elixirs from the emperor
Jegal Mi Ryeo and Splitter Saint = headed to Murim Alliance to take care of the purified Living Jiangshis
Raon = teaching his disciple Sima Pyeong
Hunter Info Dump Well, this came out of nowhere. LSH explained why he was missing in the past chapters. Basically, it's talk about hunters. To summarize:
Purple Blood hunter family are dragons.
Name of their world is Aitopu (It's the reverse spelling of "utopia")
GoD sent CJG there to investigate.
CJG became MIA after he headed there.
Jungwon allied with the worlds that had the Transparent Blood and Five Colored Blood.
I was really surprised to suddenly have this info dump... 😂But that's not all. We even have Alberu today!
Alberu, the Sullen Korean Melon Cale finally remembers that Alberu exists and calls him 🤣 It got strange afterwards because Alberu had a tired expression, but was smiling very brightly. Raon even said that he was not the sun but a sullen Korean melon...
Why was Alberu happy? Because the mining agreements were over, so Cale and the Roan Kingdom were very rich now.
Evil Alliance Finally And we are now at the Evil Alliance! We get introduced to 2 characters that were mentioned in the past: Halberd Demon (one of the Five Demons) and the head of the Iron Family Manor. I guess we'll find out more about them in the next chapters.
Ending Remarks Today's chapter was full of surprises. I never thought we'll see all the Soos, the Chois, and even Alberu today! It feels like the author gave me the best birthday gift ever! 😊Anyway, with Durst appearing in the scene, it looks like we'll be introduced to new Living Jiangshis again.
