US House panel passes bill giving Biden power to ban TikTok

Indian Government bans PUBG Mobile and 118 more mobile apps
The Indian government today announced that it has banned 118 more mobile apps, including PUBG Mobile which it says are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order. The government banned 59 mobile apps in the country back in June.
PUBG MOBILE, a wildly popular game in India, was among 118 Chinese apps blocked by the government today amid tension with China over fresh provocation in Ladakh. The move was in the interest of India's sovereignty and integrity, defence and security, the government said in a statement.

According to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, the mobile game has been banned along with the other Apps under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, on grounds that "they are engaged in activities which are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order".
"This decision is a targeted move to ensure safety, security and sovereignty of Indian cyberspace," the statement said, adding that the move would safeguard the interests of crores of Indian mobile and internet users.
