Qi Heng & Xun Xu 💙🖤
Art for @the-marron , who dragged me into the Derivatives hell and when I noticed, it was too late.
Despite the problem with my hands, I still can paint and back in the middle of the year, who made me want to paint again, inspired by her beautiful works and because of her support about my art (I was very sad about my art back then), was Marron. During the Derivatives Week, I was surprised with a touching HengXu fic and since then, this ship has a special place in my heart.
If this can be of use one day for a new fic, it's yours to do as you please. By now, I'm happy to think this is them someday, somewhere, in the world of The Thousand Flowers Manor . My Christmas gift for you, Marron, comes in a Weilan flavor 😆💚

龚贤 - 金碧山水 by Gong Xian (Qing dynasty)
There's a special style in Chinese landscape painting called 青绿山水 (Qinglu Shanshui) which uses mineral dyes to complete the artwork. Those artworks have major green and blue colors. During Song Dynasty, artists and scholars added is 泥金 (made of glue and powdered gold or other metals) to the dyeing materials. These landscape paintings are 金碧山水 (Jinbi Shanshui).

This Chinese hawthorn was blooming when I was there the other day. I need to get a better picture if I can. Birds love the berries in autumn and winter.
